War is the second book following Rogue and Callan. Thankfully we pick up the story right from where we left these two. There is no let up in the action, the first chapter literally had me holding my breath in anticipation of what would happen next. I loved that the darkness of the MC life is present in these two books, you can feel it simmering under the surface throughout the books. Despite all the happens Rogue is still the strong willed woman we met previously. I liked Callan more in this one, probably because like Rogue I was more convinced of his feelings and where his loyalty was. A fast paced story with betrayal, darkness and danger that over the two books get me entertained and invested. I am hoping this becomes a series as there are more interesting characters I want to see get their own story.
Book two in this series begins where that jaw dropping cliffhanger left us. Will the VP of The Kings Of Sin MC Callan “Pain” Cox and Rogue aka Princess get the answers they’re looking for? Can these two souls from opposite clubs stay together? From the very first chapter you’re brought back into this harsh world of action and a connection between these two the sizzles off the pages. I loved Callan and Princess together and hope we also get more from the remaining club members. Get ready for a wild ride that could be right out of the SOA show! Told in first person and dual POV
War starts off where the ending had me screaming. Second installment of the Kings of Sin series, it reveals many jaw-dropping details. We finally get some much needed answers, all packed up in a tension filled plot. I can't wait to read more of the series!
Lord. Have. Mercy. Please give me all things Callen "Pain" Cox. It's been a hot minute since I've enjoyed a book boyfriend this much. Or one has left me so affected.
Have you met Callen yet? If not, then what are you waiting for? If you have, then you already know this SEXY AS FUCK man is downright FILTHY and absolutely DELICIOUS. Holy. Shit. Balls. What a wild ride he is. Pain's intensity and dominance brought me straight to my knees. Our resident VP's possessive, touch her and die mentality had my head spinning and my body humming with need and want.
If you are like me and over the top, jealous alphaholes are your kryptonite, Callen Cox is your man.
Then there's our girl, Rogue. She's a take no shit, sexy, badass spitfire. Our biker brat held her own amongst these "savages," often times giving as good as she got. Baby girl's fucking fierce. She makes it known real quick she ain't eating no one's disrespect, man or woman. And at the same time, she's loyal as fuck--even to people she thinks murdered her sister. A true Queen to Callen's King.
I loved these two as individuals, but Callen & Rogue together are something quite spectacular. A power couple. Their chemistry in and out of the bedroom set the pages on fire. And I certainly couldn't get enough of them. Their raw and gritty personalities grabbed my attention from the first page and kept me enthralled until the last. The chaotic connection and tension between them was hella fire. So tangible, I felt as though I was standing right there with them.
Let me not forget the supporting characters. Especially Kitty (I really envied her relationship with Rogue) and Tim. They all left me wanting to become a part of their inner circle. My FAVORITE part about this read was all of the characters. They made this read for me and will be on my reread shelf for years to come.
I'm truly surprised becauseBlood & War are not the norm for me. I don't do biker books. They just aren't my cuppa. It's a genre/trope I've just never really been able to sink my teeth into. But something about this series called to me and I needed a palate change. Book slumps suck. So I requested an ARC.
I'm so glad I took the chance, though, and gave this a try. Ker Dukey's a new to me author. One I'm so delighted to have found. Especially since I'm pretty picky with my reads, lately. Most end up on the DNF list or take me weeks to finish. It says a lot about her writing that I devoured both of these in a matter of days and LOVE them. I'll definitely be checking out her other books, especially if they have similar type male & female leads.
If you can't tell, I HIGHLY recommend the Kings of Sin series. I hope you become as obsessed as I did with it. Thank you, Ms. Dukey, for taking me out of my reading slump, even if it's just for a couple of days.
War by Ker Dukey is the second book in her new dark, MC romance series. It is the conclusion of Princess aka Rogue and Callan’s story and continues straight on from Blood. I loved the first book and wanted the answers about Harley’s death as much as Rogue did. What exactly has been going on between The Devil Skull Riders and The Kings of Sin. The story is action packed with twists and turns as she fights for revenge and there are revelations and surprises you won’t see coming. Will she ever solve the mystery with all the lies and betrayal she uncovers. Will the chaos of them being together ruin what they have? Will they betray their clubs to follow their hearts?
“There’s no mercy for crimes against the Kings.”
Blood ended in a cliffhanger over their relationship and having let Tyler walk all over her, she was determined not to let Callan treat her the same way. The heartbreak she is feeling makes her wonder if their connection didn’t mean anything to him. Angry and sad over it, she foolishly runs off only to have a traumatic encounter. Safely back with Callan, emotions run high and she can’t get over how kind and caring the Kings are to her. Callan promises to find out what happened to her sister and has some interesting information to help answer some of her questions. Although Callan has a reputation to uphold he needs her to understand the history between their clubs and what happened before everything blew up and her world changed forever. He was pleased fate brought her to him, just like she knew the moment she saw his picture.
Who can she trust when her loyalty is tested, which club will she choose? Desperate for answers she often doesn’t make the right decisions which annoyed me. She was strong and capable but at times let herself down especially when angry, she definitely didn’t think clearly. I loved his possessive and touch her and die attitude, while also being her safe place. For a dangerous man he definitely had a soft side just for her. I adored how he just rocks up to the Devil’s clubhouse because they have something of his!!!
With all the revelations they know a war is coming and Callan will have to do whatever needs to be done to protect his club and her. In an nail biting and explosive ending, who will survive when Rogue finally gets all her answers. After all they’ve been through will they get their HEA? Excited we get Kitty’s story next as can’t wait to see who she ends up with ? #Team Tim
Book 2 is here and I can't tell you how excited I was to dive into this one and really this follow up book was just as smashing amazing as the previous book.
We continue right from where that painful cliffy left us and I was so hurt and upset just like Rogue was thinking how could it happen.
One thing I'd say is that this book kept on surprising me with every twist and turn we came across.
I really liked how Callan and Rogue were in this book. So courageous and strong and both of them were like - I'll do anything for you... Both of them... And this really made me cheer for them as a couple.
Especially when both their loyalties were tested time and again and yet they don't falter, holding hands and staying strong.
I was miffed a couple of times because of Rogue's impulsiveness which had me screaming and wanting to shout at her, asking, "Rogue why the heck you're doing that"?!
But... Wow... The way this story is written made me feel like I was on a fast paced ride with steep turns and dangerous slides, one minute thinking how could we ever get out of this and the next, something unthinkable would happen, that kept me shocked and so freaking turning the pages fast to find out what happens.
What I really loved, was also the fact that I was equally connected to all the other side characters also in the Kings MC and when something was going down, I was praying that they all make it.🥺 Yep, this book had me oh so much invested.
This is definitely going as one of my top most favourite MC series for sure.
Eeepp... We have Kitty's book next and I'm so freaking ready for her book with the many complications of her love life, to see finally what happens and whom she chooses for herself. Loved this one.
War by Ker Dukey is the conclusion of Princess, aka Rogue and Callan's story. Their story picks up where Blood left off. Rogue being hurt by seeing Callan runs straight into trouble. As Rogue is trying to come to terms with having feelings for Callan and the Kings, she still needs to deal with who killed her sister and the situation with Tyler. She knows she doesn't want to be with Tyler, and she deserves better. With everything that is going on, Rogue is more confused than ever, and she doesn't know who to believe or what she believes about the Kings is true regarding her sister's death. The feelings growing between Rogue and Callan further complicate things. I don't want to give anything away too much regarding this story. I just want you to sit back, buckle your seat belt, hold on, and enjoy the ride. Rogue certainly gets taken through the ringer, and by the end, she doesn't know what in the world is happening. There were many twists and turns to this story and quite a few surprises. When it was all said and done, all I could say was Wow, I definitely didn't see that coming! I devoured this book. I was so glad I didn't have to wait long for the conclusion of this story. Once I started the book, I didn't put it down until I had finished it. Oh, so good. I am so in for the next book in this series. 4.5 stars for me.
FINALLLY we are getting answers and oh boy it was very very tense !! And most importantly Bear is safe. Bear is a second dad to Rogue from Devil's and I love him. I hope he gets a happy ending officially in a book.
"The bird inside my chest flaps her wings against her cage. Free me."
Callan & Rogue love has not stopped !! Nothing got in the way of stopping them getting togther. Support of the brothers helped alot they are all team Rogue & Callan. But there is 1 person who is not happy about it...no spoilers
My heart was very full when I finished this book. Rogue finally found her light in the darkness and it's with the Kings & her Angel of Sin Callen with his crazy sister. I love Kitty so much and her book is NEXT !!
I hope all the Kings Men get there own stories. The banter is brillaint and they are such colourful characters they deserve their own stories & wild dangerous adventures !!
“We’re bikers—the open road is our therapy. When you’re healed up, I want to take you away from here for a little while.” “Where?” I shift to face him. “Anywhere. You pick, drop a pin on a map. As long as it’s just the two of us, I don’t give a shit.”
Action, suspense, STEAMY moments and banter that will make you laugh through the tense suspense story. I can not wait to return to this world !!🖤🔥
"A wolf doesn't apologize for being an alpha. I'll do what I must to survive, to stay on top, to keep my brothers and my club safe. If I can do that without spilling blood, good, but I won't hesitate to take a life to keep my kingdom intact."
War is imminent. Death is in the air. Who will survive is the question. This is the second and final book to Callan and Rogue’s story. Book 1, Blood must be read before this book. The story is fast paced, action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat. Betrayals, deceit and revelations left me stunned and speechless. Rogue is courageous and brave. Sometimes too much so. Callan is determined to protect her. While still wanting his pound of flesh from the Devils. I knew these two were a force to be reckoned with. They are the absolute powerhouse couple. Loved their commitment and the bond they have. Absolutely loved their back story. Especially Callan’s and the unforgettable imprint Rouge left on him. Ms. Dukey is one of my favorite authors. Her writing is impeccable. Her storytelling outstanding. I love that her heroines aren’t wilting lilies. But the perfect match to her alpha heroes. As witnessed with Rogue and Callan. I’m so excited and looking forward to reading Kitty’s story. 👏🏼😍 **4.5 stars**
It bugs me to no end that I’ve paid about £5 to read two books on Kindle when I already have Unlimited. It bugs me EVEN MORE that these two books weren’t just ONE WHOLE BOOK! There was seriously no need to separate them and have a month wait in between releases. I’m a big fan of Ker Dukey, but this annoyed me (way more than I should have…)
Okay, so I enjoyed Blood a lot and was eagerly waiting for War and it didn’t disappoint. I have to say, the only thing that started to frustrate me a bit was Rogue. I understand she was going through some things, but she really needed to step back and take a breath. She was balls to the wall too much for me this time and it got a little tedious. Honestly, what did she think would happen after the same thing happened time and time again when she stormed out on her own? *face palm* *eye roll*
This one had a couple of twists I didn’t see coming and that made the wait and the price mostly worth it. I won’t be continuing the series unless they end up on Unlimited though. Again, as with Blood, the fact that this has been proofread prior to releasing makes my eye twitch. Silly little mistakes here and there when a book has been proofed… *yet another eye roll*

War continues this incredible story where Blood ended and like every other reader, I have been desperate to discover what happens next! War is the perfect title for this book and I absolutely loved every heart-stopping moment!!
Comparable to Blood, I literally couldn’t put my Kindle down. I needed answers just as much as our protagonists did, and I absolutely loved the twists and turns that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat.
I absolutely adore Rogue. She’s never afraid to stand up for herself or those close to her. If you think she went through a lot during Blood, please don’t expect an easy ride for her during War! My heart may hurt for her because of what she goes through, however, I can’t deny that it makes incredible reading!!
I always have high expectations when reading a story written by Ker Dukey and I am never left disappointed. For those who enjoy dark/MC romance stories I highly recommend Blood and War to you to read. I’m looking forward to more from the Kings of Sin MC in the future too.
War is the conclusion to Princess & Callen's story, so you have to read the beginning (Book 1) first before diving in. I'm so glad it didn't take forever to get this as we were left on a huge cliffhanger ending with a ton of questions left unanswered so I was dying for all the answers. Princess came to Callen's club undercover to find out what happened to her sister, and let me tell you, these two sizzled off the pages, and it wasn't too long before she knew that she wasn't being told the truth about the whole situation. It made for a ton of twists coming in hot all over the place, and my head was spinning like you wouldn't believe as there were so many moving parts to make it very unpredictable that's for sure. The heat is top notch, the action was crazy intense, and there was even some humor that had me laughing out loud. I can't wait to continue in this world Ker Dukey created and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This was a wild ride and all kinds of chaotic fun as Rouge and Callan uncover who the true enemy is as well as realize that their connection runs deeper than blood.
I gotta say, I loved Callan and Rogue and watching as their insta lust turns into so much more. The chemistry between them is hot and there is no doubt that they are perfect for each other, though Rogue definitely gives him a run for his money ~ and sanity ~ on more than one occasion. But in the end I loved that they got their HEA.
I knew that this was going to be all kinds of chaotic, and I wasn’t disappointed. The triggers are no joke, so reader beware…but then again, if you’ve read Blood (or any of the authors previous books, you know what you are getting into. As for the Kings, I loved them and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review from Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the second book in this series. You have to read Blood first. That book ended in a huge cliffhanger and this one picks up right were it left off. Callen and Rouge need answers and do we as readers. These two have so many things to work though including that they are from opposite clubs. That can make things difficult alone. But these two are going to let nothing stop them. There is a lot of action, and a connection between these two that will really have our kindle heating up quickly. I don't really want to tell you about the story. I would never want to give something away. This is a book you will not put down once you pick it up. I loved every single second of this book. Every word has you hanging on with bated breath. You do not want to miss these two books.
This is the second book, and my word, after that heart-stopping cliffhanger and the end of Blood, I was on tenterhooks in anticipation of how Callan / Pain and Rogue’s journey was going to unfold. These two have endured so much, to overcome the challenges on a journey to find happiness together. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster story, which is raw, gritty, intense, and powerful, with family, friendships, intrigue, suspense, tension, survival, mystery, forbidden, secrets, betrayal, tension, vengeance, turmoil, revelations, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, unpredictable, and heartfelt, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Oh wow, just wow. If you haven't read Blood, then stop now and go back. It's a must! Then bring your pretty lil head back to here and enjoy the ride! Enjoy when Rogue slowly realises that where she came to start a w∆r, may not be the place she thought! There are secrets galore, steamy steamy attraction, bitching, vio|ence, assault, backstabbing, murd3r and a lotta angst! It's brilliant. It had me hooked and I'm sad it's over, I could easily read another two books on these two!
I'm so looking forward to Kitty's book 🤗
*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review.
War is the second book and is the conclusion to Blood. Blood left off on a cliffhanger. Rogue and Callan’s story starts where the first book left off.
Rogue is still after her revenge for her sister. I really don’t want to say much but there are twists and turns to the story!
I really enjoyed reading the rest of Rogue and Callan’s story and I am sure we haven’t heard from the last of them. It’s good to know there is another book planned. But for now I got my HEA for Rogue and Callan. I read this book in one go. It is so good to be reading Ker Dukey’s books again! She really knows how to write a book that keeps a person interested.
War is book two and starts right where Blood book one, left us on that mind-blowing cliffhanger! Callan is trying to prove that the Kings are not Rogue's enemy, but her family, yet Rogue still is not sure who to trust the Kings or the family she's grown up with..... the Devil's.
Rogue has been through hell and keeps taking the punches throughout this book, but the one person always there for her.... Callan and of course Kitty. These three are determined to uncover the truth that Rogue is looking for, but the secrets, angst, and jaw-dropping twists definitely had me on the edge of my seat with the craziness that unfolded between the pages of this book.
If you're looking for a dark, mc, revenge with touch her and die vibes, then look no further because this story will take you on one helluva ride!
War starts off where Blood ended. The first book was really good so I had high hopes for War. I needed that cliffhanger to not be hanging anymore 🫡 😆 The writing in this book is impeccable. I was hooked immediately and found myself picking up whatever device was closest to read the next page. This book is dark and suspenseful just like Blood and it's so good. I love the chemistry between Rogue & Callan. It's definitely 🧑🍳💋🔥 I loved their HEA. Blood & War was so good and itched that scratch I needed for dark romance perfectly. Cannot wait for what's next!

What a conclusion! This is book 2 in the Kings of Sin series and it picks upright where book 1 ends. Callen and Roque’s story continued to evolved and develop flawlessly. Hot, filthy with a healthy dose of passion, their combustible chemistry and over the top antics were something to behold that this author creates flawlessly. Their journey to resolve certain mysteries and uncover secrets took me on a wild and crazy gut punching ride that had me glued to the pages from beginning to end. Get ready to get lost in this story as this exciting conclusion made everything else around you a blur.
Book two is war and we're back to reading princess Continuing Story I cannot believe the Cliffhanger from book 1 I was so excited to jump back into this world of the MCS to see the sizzling connection between the Rival gangs the main characters connection was explosive. will we get the answers that book one leaves us with I will not leave any spoilers in this review but just definitely check out book one first which is called blood because you do not want to miss the details in that first book. This was a great follow-up and I'm just excited that I got to read this book.
**CANT BE READ AS A STANDALONE, BLOOD MUST BE READ FIRST **
I can't say enough good things about War. It literally had everything you could want! Vengeance, revelations, action, steam and betrayal. The betrayal, that hit HARD. Tears were had. An amazing conclusion for Pain and Rouge! Key Dukey wrote a vivid word, that I could literally see playing out in my mind.
War picks up where Blood left off and there is so much more going on. More twists and turns , so much that Rogue doesn’t know who to believe. She goes through the wringer and some of it her own doing for going off on her ke. And trusting the wrong people. It’s is a very bumpy ride but eventually we finally out the truth. As I expected it was very explosive and I really enjoyed it and it left me wanting more.
