*Author's Note--I will be straight up with you--this book is *slightly* shorter than the books I usually write. This month I had to have extensive dental work and I was also displaced from my house for a week and a half because of Hurricane Milton. So, not a fun month. However, writing To Quench Her Thirst took me away from a lot of the trauma and helped me forget the outside world. I hope it will do the same for you if you're going through a tough time. It may be a little shorter but it's got a great plot, a LOT of spice, and a very satisfying conclusion at least IMO. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Hugs and Happy Reading,

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

Even though Evangeline Anderson lives in Florida and had to deal with Hurricane Milton, her monthly novel To Quench Her Thirst is especially good. The action moves the plot along quickly, and her steamy scenes are super-hot.
The two main characters are Dr. Addison Hollister and her Kindred protector Drago.
Addie is a Xeno-anthropologist and loves the adventures she finds on other planets. Drago is a Drake Kindred, a type of Kindred that has a dragon inside. However, he feels his dragon is primal (untamable) so he never releases it. Although Drago secretly loves Addie, he is afraid to claim her because of his dragon.
Addie receives an invitation to visit Crimson Moon and observe one of their most important religious rituals. Drago, as her Protector, definitely disapproves of this mission. However, Addie has many chances to regret her decision. She discovers she is expected to participate in the ritual. The ritual includes being chased by giant spiders, drinking poison, and being chosen as the “winner” of the ritual. Then, things only go down from there.
Evangeline Anderson always promises her readers a HEA, and this To Quench Her Thirst doesn’t disappoint. I personally enjoyed this one, even reading it straight through in one evening. It was a case of Don’t Put This One Down!

A simply wonderful read, great characters and an amazing storyline I thoroughly enjoyed
Addie has been invited to a mysterious planet by the name of Crimson Moon to enjoy their rituals especially as she is fascinated by their religious rituals. She has a Kindred protector that is a Drake.
Drakes are known for being dominant characters and which cannot be tamed and now that he has decided that Addison is in fact his Fated Mate and he has decided that he can only remain as her protector but will this allow him to keep her safe on Crimson Moon.to
He is not able to appreciate the Queens of Night and also what happens when she starts to experience some difficult and unexpected cravings such as a taste for blood and some urgent sexual cravings that have to be satisfied.
This is a simply wonderful read and I guarantee that you will love this book and I am sure that other readers will be as blown away by this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Couple of interesting plot twists to the story and very appropriate for the Halloween season. Addison and Drago had been working together for a long time before the mission that changed everything for them. Their working and personal relationship was already established before readers meet them in To Quench Her Thirst.

This build-up of tension, between Addison and Drago, over time allowed the author to jump ahead in the romance department. This is a super spicy story with lots of chemistry.

To Quench Her Thirst has a solid plot and likable characters. I was drawn to the story because there is a dragon. The drake does not disappoint. If you like the Kindred series, then this a nice addition. I appreciated the follow up epilogue on the moon after they left the planet.

This is part of a series of books and some things are assumed the reader already knows. This story does not elaborate on background information as others in the series. To Quench Her Thirst is an enjoyable read that will probably have you wanting to check out Evangeline Anderson’s other stories.

In this Kindred Tales series, readers can expect the familiar promise of a happy ending, but the path to it is anything but straightforward. We are introduced to Addison, a beautiful, smart, and headstrong heroine, who embarks on a thrilling adventure alongside her Kindred protector, Drago.

Addison and Drago’s journey is both wild and spicy, filled with drama and challenges that test their bond. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and their growth as a couple is engaging to witness. As they navigate the dangers that threaten their happiness, readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats.

Overall, this book beautifully balances romance, adventure, and intrigue, making it a must-read for fans of the series.

As always, my book reviews are completely voluntary, with no monetary compensation received, and the opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This author nails it again with her Kindred alpha dudes. Drago is a Drake Kindred, ie there is a dragon in there and he's huge.
Addie is a Xenoanthropologist and has a fascination for other worlds and cultures, Drago serves as her bodyguard. She's his fated mate and doesn't know it. He's in denial due to his primal dragon.
Crimson Moon is pretty much a spider planet, Addie's fear. The people are strange and worship and ancient being. Addie is in serious danger.
There was non stop danger once things turned ugly, will Drago be able to save the day?
I had quite an extended lunch break and read this book straight through. If you love an author's corny characters and a HEA then you'll love this book too.

Such a fantastic story!
Addie and Drago's story was very well written. As usual with this author we always get a story told so well you can see the characters as you read about them.
I will admit, early on in the book when Drago was thinking how out of control his Drake was, that he could never bond with Addie, that I wanted to, gently of course, grab him by the face, look into his eyes and say, " Drago! Addie will be able to tame your Drake, so bond with her already.!!!"
I have little patience.
Good thing I wasn't writing this story is all I can say.
Needless to say, this was a great story, with some wonderful surprises, sexy times, creepy beings, icky spiders, gross food and a love story for the ages!

I hate to keep writing the same review but wow, every new Kindred book that Evangeline Anderson writes is so different and inventive! The first series were pretty formulaic yet she already started off with 3 or 4 different Kindred types so that gave her some leeway, but the Kindred Tales go even further.

These books often involve different kinds of Kindred that are either hybrids, from farther away solar systems, or are just like a Kindred: worship the Goddess, treat women very well, and are fiercely protective of their fated mate. I guess this book is even a different series but it's somewhat similar to other Kindred books

What's not to love? There is a beautiful, smart and headstrong heroine Addie who has her own Kindred protector Drago and they travel to distant worlds so she can observe and document their unique customs and rituals. Oh, did I mention that Drago is a Drake Kindred with a primal dragon inside? This Fascinating story begins with an invitation to Crimson Moon where Addie can watch the Choosing Ceremony where a new Queen of the Night will be crowned. It just keeps getting better through the many surprises that have you wondering how it will end.

Oh my goodness she nailed it again with this book even tho she was displaced from her home because of a hurricane and also had to have dental work done. What's not to love about this book, Addison and Drago journey was wild and spicy. Throw in some drama the couple must face in order to get to their Happy ending. Evangeline Anderson knows how to right her kindred books, our always a treat to read. This is a must read book. I love how the characters start out as bodyguard and person being guarded and then end up together 😍

I give this book a 2.
I was disappointed in this book.
I have read other books by Evangeline. I found this book quite similar to, Protected (Alien Mate Index #2), which I enjoyed far more.
Addison felt almost too naïve. She admits that Drago always has a good intuition when something bad is going to happen, and dismisses it.
Drago was also a bit one-note for me. I also felt that Drago was another tortured soul Kindred.
I found Drago was just another "I love her but don't deserve her" trope.

With the Kindred tales you know to expect a happy ever after. But that journey is filled with twists and dangers. This one brings us a Drake kindred. Addie studies cultures of other civilizations. A chance to see an important event on another planet is just too good of a chance to skip. But maybe this time she should skip. The story is filled with dangerous twists and a lot of tension between the two.

Aside from the heroine being a phd she has the survival instincts of brain damaged individual, by not listening to her body guard. And the only expression of emotion the hero can express is the f word which I don’t mind once in awhile but it’s the only way he speaks. He has two emotions grumpy and anger. And what is the female narrator when the character is drunk she doesn’t sound drunk but instead the character develops a lisp. Oddd

Great Book!

I love books about dragons and this one was funny. The best part of the book is when the Kindred Warrior goes into beast mode; Drago’s dragon didn’t play. I enjoyed all of Evangeline’s books, especially the books about Kindred warriors. I like that she uses different races of women for Kindred warriors; makes all women feel relevant. Keep them coming Evangeline.

AAAARRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE KINDRED

Evangeline, you have done it again. Love all the drakes that have been unveiled, and I'm sure some interesting traits are going to come through. Would have been great to see Addison and Drago become parents of tiwns ;) (hope that the little girl has a drake too).

Thanks again for the great Kindred, Evangeline

I though this would feature more vampire sexy from Addison but it's just the one scene. Wish we heard more from Sparki after the signs were revealed, had high hopes for her too that didn't pan out. Still good and enjoyable overall.

Dr. Addison and her protector Drago go to Crimson Moon to observe the planetlet’s cultural event. Evangeline Anderson has written a book highly appropriate for me to be reading on Halloween! It’s full of ginormous spiders, blood sucking and a dragon to save the day!
