Welcome to Nettleford, a small but bustling town in the heart of the Cotswolds...
With her Divorce-iversary looming, the last thing Bea Thompson, owner of Nettleford’s charming bookshop, needs is to play teacher to newbie resident and shopkeeper Scott Harrison.
But when Bea is strong-armed into helping gorgeous newcomer, Scott, learn the ropes, she’s forced to make the most of a bad situation.
As Bea and Scott reluctantly spend more time together, an unexpected connection begins to form. But just as Bea starts to wonder if love after divorce is possible, a family crisis brings chaos to her once-peaceful sanctuary. With her sister’s family, and even her ex suddenly under her roof, Bea's new life is turned upside down.
Will Scott prove to be the plot twist Bea needs to heal her heart and write her own happily ever after? Or will Bea's second chance at love be lost among the shelves of her charming bookshop?
Escape to Nettleford with Sarah Hope's delightful new series, where love, friendship, and quirky characters await. A cosy romance featuring a charming small-town setting, a journey of second chances, and a Happy Ever After guaranteed!
The writing was very amateurish. This feels like the second or third book in the series and not the first one. No proper background to the characters or the village is established.
Also, we don't get the reaction of the ex to the whole thing.
The h was a complete pushover and there isn't enough depth to the new relationship to make us feel like this one would work where the previous didn't.
Happy Ever Afters at Bea’s Bookshop (Escape to…. Nettleford Book 1)
I loved reading this lovely little book about Nettleford, the Green and the shops around it. Lots of different Characters to explore and lots of stories to unfold in further books. I hope Bea and Scott feature again too. I recommend this series written by Sarah Hope 💕
A charming read set in a bookshop which is one of my favourite settings. Bea is a lovely character who I immediately warmed to. Lovely community feel to the story and I look forward to reading more about the inhabitants of Nettleford.
This is such a lovely story, I couldn't put the book down. It was lovely meeting Bea and her bookshop. It was nice meeting the other residents in Nettleford. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I stumbled across this book today and had to try it. I’m so glad I did as I absolutely loved it and had to keep reading until I’d got to the last page. Such a lovely book with likeable characters (maybe not Gregory!) I’m eager to try the next in the series!
