⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ plot ⋆.
the plot of imprisoned in eternal night reminds me so much of those vertical cdramas that pop up as tiktok ads. so cliche it’s not even funny but oddly entertaining enough that i just blank out and binge. the whole premise of this danmei is that a beta child was adopted by rich family to replace their deceased son. for nefarious purposes the beta is forced to undergo surgery that implants omega glands—the beta is turned into an omega and the perfect chess piece an a arranged marriage to an even wealthier and more powerful alpha.
in the past i tried to read the authors the first novel in this same universe (eternities still unsaid till you love me) but did not make it past a few chapters because the plot wasn’t catching my attention & i’m actually not the biggest fan of alpha x alpha in omegaverse. sue me but i love me a good cliche especially if it’s done right. and you don’t get more cliche than this.
i feel like that’s why this danmei worked so well for me. it was trope-y, it was cliche through and through while also being full of plot twists.
iien is only 85 chapters but it still managed to have many different ‘arcs’ and was fleshed out well. i never once got bored, the author knew when to stop lingering and when it was time to progress the story.
i haven’t read many dogblood danmei in the past but i was completely locked in from the first chapter. i’m definitely going to have to read more because i constantly felt excited to pick my kindle back up. there was so many reviews that said this was super angsty but,,,i didn’t think this was that angsty??? the angst could have been worse tbh but i thought it was a good amount and that the angst did not overshadow the warm & fuzzy feeling i got from reading this
i don’t want to get too spoiler-y with the plot but i did thoroughly enjoy it. so much scheming and shady backstabbings happens but i think what makes the plot never get too outrageous or draggy is because there was a heavy focus on the relationship & guwen were lovely enough to make getting through all that worth it
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ characters ⋆.
╰┈➤. wen ran he must be protected at all costs. seriously, the amount of suffering he went through is insane and despite all that he remains such a sweet & selfless character. in fact he’s too selfless of a character. to a point where i wanted to shake him on occasion because he’s drowning in guilt and disgust for things he isn’t he even responsible for. watching him grow as a character and how he finally got his happy ending was so so worth the pain.
also we need more outwardly down bad shou’s. he was such a yearner & it’s always refreshing because i dislike in danmei where the love feels imbalance, like you can clearly tell the MC doesn’t feel halfway as strongly as the ML does.
╰┈➤. gu yunchi yknow, i was always waiting for the shoe to drop. i was waiting for him to do something…scummy? but he wasn’t a scum ML. no, he was a pathetic loverboy who did have a sharp tongue but he never did anything to hurt wen ran, not purposely. in fact he was doing everything to protect him. miscommunication galore happened in this novel but despite all that he was so sweet with wen ran.
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ pairing ⋆.
╰┈➤. guwen my babies 💔 i didn’t cry reading this but i did tear up and it was mostly at the cute moments because i was happy wen ran & gu yunchi were happy. they were hilarious and adorable and the mutual devotion they had for each other??? i’m almost sad we didn’t get more extras of guwen being cuties
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ final thoughts ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ read iien. do it if you like omegaverse. if you like sunshine x grumpy. if like a heavy dose of angst & a heavier dose of sweetness. if you like lowkey messy but entertaining side characters. read this for 339, gu yunchi’s robot who is arguably the best part of this whole danmei. i don’t care, he was my third favorite character behind wen ran & gu yunchi. read this for a beautiful love story. just read it <3 .ᐟ.ᐟ
I really, really liked this, probably the only ABO Danmei that I’ve genuinely enjoyed reading from start to finish. I was completely immersed in the story and never once felt bored. There were moments that hit me hard emotionally that I just wanted to curl up and cry. It made me feel a lot of things.
Even with all the misunderstandings, past traumas, and family drama—things that should have been frustrating—it never felt like too much. Somehow, it just worked. The second half of the book did feel a bit rushed in some places, but at the same time, I wouldn’t have wanted them to prolong the separation either. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, dragging it out wouldn’t have made sense. I’ve said it before, I don’t like it when MLs are forced to grovel excessively for things they didn’t do. I’m just not a fan of that trope. So, for me, the way everything was resolved made sense.
I haven’t read Eternities Still Unsaid Till You Love Me, so I can’t compare, but wow this book was absolutely worth the sleep I lost over it. It had its flaws, but none of them took away from how much I enjoyed it.
It's my semester vacation and I didn't know what to read so I picked this one because I recently finished ESUTYLM, which they both have connections to each other but also both can be read alone. But I didn't expect to love this so much, what the fuck! I went in blind on this book, only knowing Gu Yunchi as a friend from the other book. And I don't regret reading it right after! I was literally crying my heart and eyes out for this one. My god, I was so devastated!
I didn't notice the pages turning when I was reading this because I was fully immersed. It was unbelievably funny and yet undeniably heartbreaking most of the times. Gu Yunchi is the biggest fake idgafer I have ever seen. He can only try so much because he cannot resist our Wen Ran's sincerity. Me too, I love Wen Ran so much. He deserves all the love in the world! And Gu Yunchi is fully prepared to let him feel all the love he deserves. GuWen 4ever!
I was also invested with the background plot in here and I think the author has done well. Everything comes in full circle and I was also ready to pinpoint some plot lines that I wasn't particularly feeling but everything was given enough resolve right before the end. I'm glad for that. And honestly at first, I was a bit unconvinced with Wen Ran's father but when I really thought about it, everything was laid out well. I guess the author's revision on a number of chapters paid well because everything clicked. It was good, I don't have anything to complain anymore.
Also, even if Wen Ran is a bit unlucky with his family side, I am glad he is blessed with friends and people who genuinely cares for him. His interactions with others are warm and grounding, and they matter. Also, I love how here, I get to read a lot of the Golden Triangle's interactions just like the other book. Lu Heyang, Gu Yunchi, and He Wei are so funny together. And then, I also got to read them interact with their love ones altogether, with Xu Ze, Wen Ran, and Chi Jiahan. I just love each and everyone so much! Special mention to 339, I love him so much! Best robot ever!
Of course, at the heart of this novel is our best boy, Wen Ran. He is a character defined not by fragility alone, but by the quiet, devastating way he learns to survive without ever believing he is allowed to be chosen. His life is a series of displacements—an orphanage, a hospital, the Wen household, another city—where he exists more as driftwood than a person, shaped by systems that decide his worth long before he ever can. What makes Wen Ran so heartbreaking to me is not just what is done to him, but how thoroughly he internalizes it: he assumes guilt where there is none, interprets kindness as conditional, and believes love must be repaid by usefulness. I am particularly drawn to his complex relationship with Chen Shuhui. Even when he is wronged, even when he is abandoned, he rarely allows himself anger, only resignation. His unsent messages, his annotations, his habit of pouring emotion into drafts instead of people reveal a man who never felt entitled to be heard.
Wen Ran's tragedy is that his kindness is genuine, but it exists alongside a fundamental misunderstanding of love. Having had his gender altered at seven, having been raised under manipulation and neglect, he cannot distinguish compatibility from affection, care from ownership. And yet, despite this, Wen Ran still chooses to believe, still reaches out, still thanks those who wait for him (even a robot who no longer remembers his name). His healing is not loud or triumphant; it is the slow, trembling acceptance that perhaps he was never disposable to begin with. My heart hurts so much for him! I believe my colds worsened from crying because of him, haha!
On the other hand, Gu Yunchi is a study in restraint. He is someone whose love has always existed in action rather than confession, and in preparation rather than reassurance. From the very beginning, he sees Wen Ran not as the "youngest son of the Wen family" or a convenient solution, but as himself, long before Wen Ran can imagine being seen that way. His silence, however, becomes both his devotion and his greatest failure. Gu Yunchi plans obsessively: contracts that last decades, guarantees that outlive his own possible death, gravestones placed so a lost soul might have somewhere to return to. He protects Wen Ran in ways Wen Ran never witnesses, and mourns him in ways that never ask to be acknowledged. Yet Gu Yunchi's tragedy is that he believes care can substitute clarity, that as long as Wen Ran is safe, fed, protected, it will be enough. But it isn't. His absence, his failure to speak at the moments that mattered most, leaves Wen Ran to fill the silence with self-blame.
When Gu Yunchi finally says I'm sorry, it carries the weight of years of restraint collapsing at once. He is not cruel, but he is dangerously convinced that love can remain unspoken and still be understood. Loving Wen Ran, for Gu Yunchi, has always been instinctive. Learning how to love him out loud is the harder battle. I'm a bit dissatisfied how he never said I love you to Wen Ran, but it's fine I guess! It's still obvious how smitten he is.
The relationship between them is defined by misalignment rather than malice, by two people loving each other deeply while standing on opposite sides of silence. Their dynamic begins in a severe power imbalance, one shaped by age, status, health, and knowledge, and the novel never glosses over how damaging that imbalance is. Wen Ran believes himself to be "discarded drug residue," while Gu Yunchi believes his care is self-evident. For seven years, they orbit the same truth without ever touching it: Wen Ran leaves because he believes he is no longer needed; Gu Yunchi stays silent because he believes Wen Ran is already protected.
What makes their eventual reunion so powerful is not the romance itself, but the correction of history, the acknowledgement that the engagement was real, that the waiting was mutual, and the suffering was never one-sided. Symbols like 339's erased memory, the gravestone with no name, the croissants bought one at a time, and the ring that arrives seven years late all reinforce the same idea: love persists even when everything else fails, when words are withheld, and when time fractures people apart. Their relationship only truly becomes equal when Gu Yunchi stops assuming and starts affirming, and when Wen Ran is finally allowed to believe that love does not require justification.
Anyway, what the fuck I really talked a lot. I need to shut up soon. 囚于永夜 / Imprisoned In Eternal Night is an amazing read. I wanted more extras to be honest. Also, I want to see them get married and have kids! I'm so greedy, I'm so sorry! I love them so much!
Gu Yunchi and Li Shu (Wen Ran) really took us on a wild ride.
They started as two forces diametrically opposed— Gu Yunchi, the grieving heir to a fortune and the son of a very powerful family, and Wen Ran, an orphan who was adopted only to be forced into a gender change surgery so that he could appeal to Gu Yunchi and further the Wen family’s fortunes.
While their beginning was very rough, due to Gu Yunchi being distrustful and Wen Ran being beholden to the Wen family’s traitorous goals, they slowly found happiness in each other. There were many misunderstandings and familial conflicts, but ultimately, all the pain led them to a final conclusion. The engagement that Wen Ran believed to be fake became real for the Li Shu he became. By transcending identity and carving a new life for himself, he unintentionally built the foundation for his reunion with Gu Yunchi.
It was a very nice conclusion to a tragic beginning.
Picked up this novel on a whim and ended up enjoying it more than expected. It's an ABO story with a ton of angst. Get your tissues ready.
The main character is Wen Ran, a beta who was adopted from the orphanage at 7 to substitute in for the Wen family's deceased child. Only the Wen family knew about the substitution, which was kept a secret from the outside world.
The story starts ten years later when Wen Ran is 17 years old and just completed the surgery to be implanted with omega glands on his adopted mom's orders. The reason? His mom wants to get in with the wealthy and prestigious Gu family, and somehow she got secret information about their only grandson, Gu Yunchi. While GYC is an S-class alpha, he also suffers from an issue with his pheromones and requires an omega partner with over 95% compatibility to stabilize him. With that in mind, Wen Ran's mom had him undergo the gland implantation surgery so that he can become a pawn for her to approach the Gu family.
I won't go too much into the rest of the story, but let's just say that the MC's family sucks and is constantly manipulating him. He spends most of his life being their pawn and feeling super guilty to the Gu family and especially Gu Yunchi about it. Despite his guilt though, he gradually sees through the ML's aloofness and harsh words to realize that he's actually a nice person and falls in love with the guy who saves him from kidnappings and takes him up in a helicopter to see fireworks from the air.
As for Gu Yunchi, I initially disliked him because he was so cold and mean to the Wen Ran, but as the story progresses and I started realizing along with the MC that he's not all that bad, he definitely grew on me. He proves himself through his actions more so than his words. Plus you can't help but feel bad for him when you realize that because of his position, he can't fully trust anyone around him. But somehow he saw past the exterior of Wen Ran, someone he should have been the most cautious against, and realized that inside was another innocent victim of family manipulation who only wants to be free and play with his models.
**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**
The romance was sweet but frustrating at times. Wen Ran constantly felt guilty towards Gu Yunchi because he thought GYC didn't know the truth about his identity, that he was a pawn designed by his adopted mom to bring down GYC, but he should have a little bit more faith in GYC than that. It's only much later after he realizes GYC knew the truth all along and still likes him that he finally lets go of the last of his reservations about their relationship and decides to be with GYC for real.
The first half of the story was very fast-paced and had a good story. There was plenty going on and by the end, there are a couple of revelations about who Wen Ran's adopted mother is working is and what their end goal is. The scene where Wen Ran was on the boat going towards his death had me on the edge of my seat, especially once I realized Gu Yunchi was also there watching from the helicopter. That and the subsequent chapter from GYC's pov where he told 339 about Wen Ran's death had my heart breaking. This part of the story felt much more climactic than the actual end.
The second half of the story, which takes place 8-9 years later, was okay, but at that point, the story had mostly wrapped up and the focus is on Wen Ran and Gu Yunchi getting back together again. Wen Ran has left his past behind him and lives a new life with his original name, Li Shu, in a new city with new friends. By pure chance, Gu Yunchi, who joined the military academy and is one of their most promising newcomers, finds out Wen Ran's alive by coming across his handwriting. When GYC's mission is over, he immediately comes to find Wen Ran in his new home and forces himself into WR's new life, regardless of whether he's welcome. Obviously there are a lot of misunderstandings and Wen Ran has some trauma about how GYC clearly stated he doesn't want to marry him in the past, so it takes a while for them to resolve the issues and get together again.
The story ends on a happy note when Wen Ran discovers that his birth mother is actually alive, even though he was birth mom is actually alive, after living so many years under the mistaken belief that she was killed much earlier. Perhaps the author felt like he deserved some happiness after so much angst, but the ending felt a bit rushed since the last chapter has Wen Ran and Gu Yunchi celebrating CNY with his birth mom as one happy family.
post-read: when I started this book i had no idea that I'll be binging reading it within a day:3
our MC( Wen Ran) is an orphan who was adopted by a family to replace their dead son because of a certain feature on his body and his secondary gender being altered (yes! it's omegaverse) to be compatible with a rich alpha of another family and get engaged with him.
Wen Ran is the most adorable MC I'd ever come across 😭 i totally understand Gu Yunchi and why he fell so hard for him, the fact that Gu Yunchi is a tsundere and his feelings are really hard to decipher, you'd probably think he dislikes Wen Ran, but he's so in love with him 😭 and wen Ran that poor guy goes through so much in his life but still his innocence, sincerity and purity will pull you in.🥹💗
I was crying and giggling reading the book throughout, we get some characters from the other book as this is a part of connected universe.
i won't give spoilers for the plot but you need to read it to know, there's a part that had me genuinely sobbing, where ML and MC are separated due to circumstances and ML thinks MC is no more, so he keeps getting injured (he's in military) just because he dreams of the MC in his sleep and that's the only time he'll be able to see him..( I was sobbing)😭
[inhales] Did I finish this story or this story finished me? This is truly the definition of I came for a good time and ended up crying. Truly, one of my favorite danmei of the year. I came with zero expectations and just looking for a nice omega and alpha experience. Goodness, this was so much more than that.
It’s true it kinda follows a cliché trope but it doesn’t stop there. When I thought I knew how things were going to end, pow! That did not happen. As a huge fan of tsundere boys, Gu Yunchi did not disappoint but hell, it did feel like rage bait sometimes (translation: I had the time of my life).
And Wen Ran! I don’t think I will love and want to protect someone this bad in a very long long time. He truly deserves the world and I was so sad to the world for being so unfair to him at times but by the end, he reached the happy ending he deserved.
Truly, I had such a good time. The story was so worth reading, I got mad, sad, happy, devastated and it was all worth it. I have so so much more to say because I truly enjoyed it but I will share it later to others! I will never shut up about this!
Imprisoned in Eternal Night is set in the same universe as Eternities Still Unsaid Till You Love Me, which I rated 5 stars, so I came into this sequel with high expectations. I was not disappointed.
The main characters, Gu Yunchi and Wen Ran, are portrayed as cool and aloof, facing life’s challenges with a calmness that makes it seem like nothing can break them. This consistency in character development adds depth to the story, and their resilience provides a strong foundation for the plot.
The pacing of the story was smooth, and not a single part felt dull. The author skillfully mixed moments of light comedy with subtle angst, keeping the narrative engaging and emotionally charged. Speaking of angst, this book certainly made me tear up. It’s been a while since a novel evoked such emotion from me. While the story could have ended on a bittersweet note (BE), the author chose a more hopeful resolution, which was both satisfying and heartwarming. The truth is gradually revealed, and by the end, everything falls into place perfectly.
That said, some aspects of the story are a bit fantastical and hard to believe in real life. However, the resolution was so sweet, especially for Wen Ran, that I was willing to overlook the more unbelievable elements.
Initially, I considered rating this book 4 stars, but I ultimately bumped it up to 5. While the emotional impact wasn’t as intense as some of my top-rated books, Imprisoned in Eternal Night left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it will stick with me for a long time.
I would love to see a story about He Wei and Chi Jiahan, though I doubt there will be one since their arcs are already covered in two separate side novels. More extras would have been a nice touch, but sadly, none were included.
Overall, this was a beautiful continuation of the universe, and I highly recommend it to fans of the first book and anyone who enjoys a mix of humor, angst, and sweet resolutions.

I enjoyed this book a lot, but the second half felt very fast-paced. It’s fun to read, but you might want to lower your expectations a bit. Based on the title, I thought it would be a depressing book, but it really isn’t—or at least, I didn't find it depressing. The story follows the main characters from childhood to adulthood, with some time skips. As an alpha/omega (AO) story, it includes drama, angst, misunderstandings, and unexpected plot twists. However, it has a happy ending (HE), so don’t worry too much about the drama.
Ahora bien, esperé más angst, PERO NO IMPORTA PORQUE LOS AMÉ DEMASIADO, YO TAMBIÉN QUIERO QUE ME PIDAN MATRIMONIO FRENTE LAS AURORAS BOREALES Y ME COMPREN 80 CROISSANTS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Psdt2: HE WEI TE AMO TANTO
Psdt4: ¿podemos POR FAVOR agradecer a Wen Ran?

I never thought our engagement was fake. The ring was just late Forever is too vague. Let's stay together for a lifetime Then I hope our lifetime... can be a bit longer. I want to be with you for a long, long time
throughout the book, I felt so maternal towards wen ran/li shu. it was unfortunate for him to be the punching bag of his adopted mother's assumptions on his adopted father's affair. it was unfortunate he had to undergo the gland transplant for their selfish reasons. it was unfortunate but I'm glad he at least have gu yunchi and his amazing friends with him through it all romance-wise, there weren't really much words said. not even one "I love you" to each other, yet their actions speaks louder than words.
First half of the book was a literal 5 star for me yet as the book progressed halfway through the end, it kinda let me down YET the circumstances surrounding Li Shu's journey on finding out his biological family and everything that happened during the huge timeskip had me in tears—bawling my eyes out during chapter 74. thank God happy endings exist or I will actually perish.

After LOVING the first one this was a huge disappointment - maybe my expectations were too high cause everyone said this one is even better than the first but... yeah
I didn't like the plot - it was SUCH 'rich people problems' which I'm not a fan of
I found the main characters incredibly boring
I didn't like the relationship - it was VERY old school yaoi/bl where the top is like "I know what's best for you" and basically just did whatever he wanted without actually thinking about the other guy (who was also a total pushover and didn't do ANYTHING)
And I felt like the author didn't really know where she was going with it so the ending felt SO random and out of place
yeah... not a huge fan, but I can see other people liking it i guess?
It was good in the first half but then it felt rushed and the ending was a bit cheesy. I loved the characters, laughed and cried with them. But the second half just did not manage to build anything else. Seems like the MC regressed to being a child in the later chapters, which is a shame as their relationship could have blossomed beautifully. The pain could have been explored differently so it would be more fulfilling. Idk, its ok. It is also my fault that I expected something similar to Eternities... but totally different tone and writing. Thank you to the translator, the quality was top tier!
What did I just read?!! I'm buddy reading this with May and Ope, who went through these ups and downs of emotions and the feels….
When the author said to prepare “dogblood” (something unbelievably cliche/ embarrassing/maladroit/exaggerating that needs to be neutralized with dog blood), they weren’t jokinggg!!!
The MC, WR, a beta turned omega, is so used to his adoptive family and to the ML, GYC, an alpha who was very cold towards him and would disregard him, but is forced to be together due to their matching pheromones. (This is an omegaverse story) I wanted to scream at the ML at times, and then we discovered why…and we did a 180 towards the ML and understood why…The relationship is somewhat imbalanced as the MC is a “weaker” character due to the treatment he suffers while the ML is this perfect, rich dude. The author warns us that ML has a tsundere personality (indifferent and cold on the outside but kind and caring on the inside), which is true in the last half of the book. Even though it was a painful parting due to circumstances, it led to great growth in the MC, where he was able to stand by himself, and the relationship felt better balanced and also the ML does fall in love with the MC to show his love through his actions (the quiet love). He will go to great lengths to protect the MC and ensure he doesn’t suffer anymore.
Plot-wise, I swear the author mistreated the poor MC so much that by the end of reading this story, I needed something fluffy and sweet just to balance it. While the plot had some holes that did lead us to question things, we ended up muttering that it is a dog-blood story and to just move on to the next part to get through the book. Ohh, this book also has some delicious smut scenes and the author did an amazing job writing it!
Again…it’s so hard to rate a story like this since it brings the feels buttttt I had moments where I wanted to chug the book against the wall and question why - lol!
I wanted to give it 5 stars but I just can't look past the flaws when it comes to the side characters. The author keeps introducing characters just to have them do absolutely nothing for the plot. I really would have hoped to see the side characters being utilized more.
Otherwise, this book was amazing. I was glued to it from start to end. I read ESUTYLM A while ago so the details are already hazy for me, but I think I actually enjoyed this one a bit more. I LOVE BOTH THOUGH. This one gave me the same feeling as staying up late to read wattpad at 13 years old, in the best way possible.
The author really knows how to pace her plots, it doesn't get boring at any point which is great. The main couple dynamic works well and the relationship development is compelling. I can definetly notice similarities between Gu Yunchi and Lu Heyang as MLs, but they're still different enough so it doesn't get repetitive. I think the author just has a type lol.
There are so many positives that I could go on and on about, but I don't want to make this too long. The main point of praise I want to give is the feelings this book gave me. The angsty plotlines hit so good and the author is an expert at serving dogfood. It has almost everything I could wish from this type of book. Really, the biggest complaint I have is that there could have been MORE. It could have been longer with more character development and more attention and thought put into the supporting cast.
this novel was so. good. i really loved it so much. i didnt think would like it this much, and i especially didnt think i would like it mire than the last novel i read by the author.... the angst was delectable and it make the sweet moments all the more sweeter...!!!!! and i actually love gu yunchi more than lu heyang i know i shouldnt compare them but i realized i didnt like lu heyang that much hes kind of like a robot? kind of lacks a personality? on surface level they are so similar (cold and expresses themselves thru actions rather than words which obviously leads to misunderstandings) but gu yunchi felt more real to me. also gu yunchi is so fucking funny even tho he says mean things i cant even lie like he made me laugh so much... AND I LOVE WEN RAN!!! LI SHU!!!!!! even tho he was so stupid at first it made me insane like open your EYES not your ASS!! 😭😭like okay gu yunchi did say he would never marry you but feelings change????? why did you have to hold on to that for so long ... its ok tho because everything ended well ❤️ and they are so cute. guwen forever also the part where gu yunchi realizes he missed significant years in wen rans life where he learns to live by himself and gets friends and a job and goes to university and finally does what he likes. i threw up. anyways i love them. romance slays actually

— so many “you deserve better” moments. you’ll find yourself rooting for wen ran just to get out, to breathe, to be loved properly. — everyone is emotionally repressed. these two could’ve solved 80% of their problems with one conversation but the angst and yearning was so good i let it slide. — their relationship is slow-burn and complicated. not some love-at-first-scent situation. it builds with tension, silence, miscommunication, and glimpses of something softer underneath. — wen ran is a babyyy. soft-spoken, traumatized, and treated like a replacement his whole life… and yet he never fully breaks. his quiet resistance and eventual growth? chef’s kiss. — gu yunchi is a cold, emotionally unavailable alpha, but not toxic in the typical way. he's distant, flawed, and repressed, but you see the shift. he learns. he listens. he loves, eventually. — wholesome!! guwen forever <8 — read if you’re into arranged marriages, repressed alphas, emotionally stunted love interests, and watching a mistreated mc finally get the love they deserve

Notes: This was honestly a better developed novel than its predecessor (Eternities Unsaid...) because the supporting characters didn't feel like they were just NPCs, and the ML, surprisingly, was a lot more considerate than the ML in Eternities Unsaid when it comes to bedroom activities. The dogblood drama took so long, though. Like Eternities Unsaid, the villains' endings were not commensurate to the suffering.
