I enjoyed the dynamic of the Mc's, I thought it was pretty interesting. Two characters who are very solitary and indifferent to everything around them but randomly find themselves sharing a space where they slowly open up and develop a teasing and comforting friendship between them.

Wow this was just too good! The artstyle, the story, the characters - everything was great. It's a bit on the serious side, but I didn't mind at all. The dialogues and the characters were well written. And the artstyle was exceptional! Highly recommended!

Mình tìm đọc bộ truyện này để giải trí trong giai đoạn khá bận rộn, và tập 1 đã thành công để lại ấn tượng rất tốt với mình. Theo trải nghiệm cá nhân, mình thường thấy phim ảnh Hàn truyền tải cảm xúc tốt hơn các tác phẩm tiểu thuyết. Tuy nhiên, riêng Just Twilight bản tiểu thuyết lại bổ sung rất nhiều chi tiết và cảm xúc, giúp trải nghiệm sau khi đọc manhwa của mình trở nên trọn vẹn hơn.

Tập 1 chủ yếu xoay quanh giai đoạn học đường của hai nhân vật chính, đến khoảng ba chương cuối mới chuyển sang một phần nhỏ ở giai đoạn trưởng thành.

Dù vẫn có những motif drama quen thuộc như bạo lực gia đình, quá khứ và gia cảnh nhiều bí ẩn, sự bắt nạt ở trường học hay định kiến về xuất thân từ những người có địa vị cao,... bầu không khí của truyện vẫn rất ấm áp và nhẹ nhàng. Mối quan hệ giữa hai nhân vật chính cũng được xây dựng tự nhiên, không hề gượng ép.

Nữ chính được khắc họa là một cô gái mạnh mẽ, liều lĩnh, tự lập và rất thẳng thắn trong chuyện tình cảm. Mình thật sự rất thương cô, vì cứ ngỡ những ngày tháng bình yên cuối cùng cũng đã đến, vậy mà liên tiếp hai cú twist ập xuống, hoàn toàn thay đổi cuộc đời cô. Dù vậy, cô vẫn luôn giữ trọn tình cảm dành cho nam chính. Đến khi cả hai gặp lại ở giai đoạn trưởng thành, mình cực kỳ thích và nể những màn đối đáp thẳng thắn, dứt khoát của cô ấy. Còn cú twist còn lại, thì đến cuối tập 1 vẫn chỉ mới được hé lộ như một màn sương mờ, nên mình đoán tập 2 sẽ được khai thác sâu hơn.

Còn nam chính tuy có vẻ ngoài hơi "dọa người", nhưng với nữ chính thì lại cực kỳ mềm mỏng và dịu dàng. Tình cảm của anh luôn âm thầm, không hề ép buộc hay mong cầu được đáp lại. Có lẽ chính vì hiểu hoàn cảnh và xuất thân của mình có thể mang đến nguy hiểm cho cô nên anh mới luôn lựa chọn cách lặng lẽ ở bên và không đòi hỏi như vậy.

Nam phụ lúc đầu được xây dựng như một chàng trai thư sinh với vẻ ngoài ngọt ngào, hòa đồng và rất được các nữ sinh yêu mến. Nhưng đọc một hồi mới nhận ra... đây là một mamaboy chính hiệu >''< (Thật sự lúc đầu mình không ghét nam phụ xíu nào, nhưng càng về sau, khi thấy sự nhún nhường có phần nhu nhược của anh ta thì mình hết cảm tình luôn.)

Mình đang rất trông chờ diễn biến ở tập 2, nên chắc chắn sẽ đọc tiếp rồi quay lại review sau nhé!

I'm breaking my own self-imposed rule...I read this in Japanese, so I should write the review in Japanese, but I have a million reviews to catch up on and I think and type faster in English, plus I can express myself better in it. I mean, it is my first language, after all.

Anyway, this manhwa was quite good. I enjoyed it, even if I felt that it was far too short. I wanted to know why the main character's mother got the way she did. How did she end up pregnant? Who was her father? Why did he abandon his child and lover?

Even though I wanted to know these things, they weren't really necessary for the story, much like knowing the male lead's family history wasn't necessary. Chance threw these two characters together, and they are both naturally reticent, but they made it work anyway.

It was a cute romance, it didn't go on too long, it ended in a good place. I was glad to see the rich lady who thought she could just pay everyone to do what she liked get her comeuppance, she deserved it. I never liked her son either.

And that's how I felt about the whole series, I would read more by this author. The art was also gorgeous.

Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time! 😳

I really loved the characters! Yoon Joon-young is strongwilled, smart and realistic. Something you don’t see that often in Korean and Japanese manhwa and Manga Culture. 🙈
Beomjin is also such a good character, the right mixture between mysterious and caring.

Beautiful artwork! Sadly the problem I have with so many manwha is the ‚stiffness‘ of many scenes compared to manga. But I think to maintain a mostly weekly schedule with a completely coloured manwha you just need to use many assets…

No unnecessary fanservice, strong characters, good story. Really really really loved it! 🥰

I loved this 🥹 A stunning start to a beautifully drawn and emotionally charged story. With a gorgeous art and bittersweet tone. It was soft, aching, and quietly powerful. It's not loud or overly dramatic, instead, it’s intimate, subtle, and full of quiet emotion and unspoken longing, and it made it feel so real. The slow-burn dynamic and introspective moments made it feel deeply personal. The MCs’s inner struggles and unspoken feelings hit hard.
There's a quiet sadness and emotional depth woven through the story that lingers even after you finish reading, and I absolutely loved that.

Love them so damn hard. Junyoung, you're slay queen 👑. Kwon Beomjin, the man you are. This is the season 1 and the ending is open ending. Let's continue season 2. I read the manhwa before the novel but the manhwa is still og but season 1 is completed. What can I say is both versions are the same. And the author of the manhwa made their characters look so stunning like in the novel. Cause I'm so eager to know what will happen to them, I decided to read the novel and it is very entertaining. Ok mainly the season 1 told about them in highschool. Ok that's all. I'm going to continue the vol 2.

Great read! Haven’t read a decent manhwa in a long time, and finally going through a good one after consuming so much brain rot content these past few months is a different feeling for sure. The mention of the title at the end gave me goosebumps. This singlehandedly got me over my reading slump, and now that I finished it… I feel empty lol!

Realistic romances are usually not my cup of tea but I surprisingly enjoyed this one a lot ❤️

The best manhwa I’ve ever read. Ever since this, I couldn’t bring myself to read another modern manhwa as I know I would never find a gem similar to this. Maybe it really was fate that it kept popping on my recommendation/read next or whatever, because this had changed my life (not really). Thank you author and illustrators for bringing this into life. 🙏🏻

I love it. This part told about Beomjin and YoonJung story in High School. The dynamic of their relationship made it real, warm, and romantic. I love their visual in manhwa.
