Only a man like him can make a woman out of her...

Leo Bane, the VP of the Devil's Wraiths MC, has earned his reputation as an infamous killer and brutal force to be reckoned with.
At 6'7" he's a towering mountain of pure tattooed muscle, barely able to be contained in his leather cut.

Kelly Rodgers may be young, smart, and headstrong, but she’s no match for a biker badass like Leo. She's never met anyone like him, he’s the worst thing to happen to her and as much as she hates to admit it…she finds him irresistible.

When Kelly arrives to Las Vegas there's serious bad blood brewing between Dante's Nine and the Devil's Wraiths—tensions have been flaring ever since a brother of the Nine died in a suspicious accident and Leo is suspected for the murder. When her best friend Kassenia is kidnapped and held hostage by Leo and the Devil's Wraiths, Kelly finds her self thrust into the middle of a war.

Willing to do anything to get her friend back and ease the animosity between the clubs, Kelly becomes a sweetie in the Devil’s Wraiths clubhouse, she'll go undercover and do whatever it takes to get the intel Dante’s Nine needs to save Kassie.

When Kelly arrives to the Wraith's Nest, Leo immediately claims her for his own...if there's any hope of getting her best friend back, she'll have to obey his every demand. He makes it clear from the start that she’s his property, and he has a big…really big…surprise for her.

This is a standalone Contemporary Romance novel. No cliffhanger. Second book in the Dante’s Nine MC series. Content suitable for adults only, contains violence, and graphic sexual content. 70,000 words in length.

Hey there,

I'm Colleen Masters, author of the Faster Series. Thank you so much for swinging by and checking out my stories! As an indie romance author, your support means everything to me. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...

I grew up in Central Jersey, and studied Theatre Arts and English at Monmouth University. (Going to college right next to the beach? Hell yes :D) My dream has always been to make a profession out of writing, so I moved to NYC five years ago and have been working my butt off to make that dream come true ever since. Right now, I'm living on the Upper East Side with my darling fiancé and our corgi, Frodo. (Bit of a lit nerd, what can I say?) All of my friends get such a kick out of my "survival job," but I don't really see my writing as a day job at all--it's way too fun for that!

These books are truly a labor of love, and I'm so happy to share them with you. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!

IT WAS OKAY

Second book in this series features Kassie's best friend Kelly. After ending a bad relationship Kelly joins Kassie at the Dante's Nine MC. The club is having a problem with another MC the Devil's Wraiths. When Kassie gets kidnapped by them, Kelly agrees to go undercover to help rescue her. The Devil's Wraiths Vice President Leo is a giant of a man and Kelly is immediately attracted to him, it seems he feels the same way.

I might have given this more stars but for some issues I had. The two main characters do not even meet till around 30% in, it's a slow start. Then it's insta love, which I'm not a fan of. Leo has been with all the club women, but there's no mention of contraception, they just have unprotected sex right from the get go. Once Kelly and Leo get together the story does pick up pace. Someone else mentioned that this was a PG version of an MC book, I have to agree with that.

Loved the hero.
Not a huge fan of the heroine.
I found the plotline shaky as hell, but I could not deny the hot as hell awesomly written sex scenes! I would read more of her books based on that alone.

I'm a bit torn between this one, part of me want's to give it 5 stars cause Leo is HOT and I totally love him. But the supporting characters (aka Declan, Kassie, Dante's Nine) have me going down to 3 stars. So if you were ever wondering then YES, a supporting cast can make or break a book. Is Dante's Nine even a real MC, I get that there small but they were just weird to me, and no I haven't read the first book so that may be part of it. But honestly Declan and Kassie seemed to throw hiss-y fits over the drop of a pin. The both freak out and panic, and then jump to conclusions and start accusing before Kelly could ever explain anything. Not sure about you but my best friend says that she knows a rival MC, or just a different MC than the one that your with, then their might just be a simple innocent explanation. Honestly, no need to go berserk over it. And then Declan, same thing but also, Kelly is a perfectly nice person, not only that but she is Kassie's bff. Dude, could he have been any less welcoming and accusing? I know that not all bff's and significant male others of said bff's get along, but come on! If he's a keeper then he accepts your bff (unless they are toxic to you) and loves the shit out of her because she is such a good friend to you. That's just how it is. Some other problems for me as well but essentially I really enjoyed Leo and Kelly! 3 stars

Oh la la...MC steamy!! Colleen Masters, this series gets better with each book and makes me love you even more. Magnificent, hot, steamy, sexy, exhilarating, fun, and oh my dreamy Leo!! Let me review this for you all...without spoilers because that would be wrong. Kelly is leaving her famous, actor boyfriend in LA to join her bestie Kass to work with her and her wrb company. Kass is the old lady to Declan, Pres to Dante's Nine MC, their story we already fell in love with (you must read Impossibly by Colleen...like yesterday!!!). Moving on. Another MC is convinced that they are out to get them and take Kass as leverage. Kelly must go undercover to the Devil's Wraith MC to find info on Kass. She is the chosen one because secrets of her younger years she revealed she was a sweet butt to the MC, do she knows them and has a way in. things turn hot and steamy once she is in. Colleen takes this one to a whole new level of yummy and hot!!! Things never go as planned and secrets will be revealed. Kelly is in lust and can't decide which MC her heart belongs to, Kass (best friend) or Leo (VP of Devil's Wraith). This book is fantastic, detailed, a 5 star plus, can't put down, gimme more, OMG, I freaking love you Colleen!!, keep them coming!!!

An excellent addition to the Dante 's Nine series. I enjoyed all of the returning characters from Impossibly plus a few new ones. I found the storyline in Imperfectly to be more interesting than that of Impossibly. Don't get me wrong, both are very entertaining with some very sexy alpha men!

Leo & Declan have a forever girl fan here!!!!

I enjoyed Leo the hero but I found the other characters annoying at times and under developed. The conflict built at a good pace but the reveal fell flat.

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.

100% intrigued by the book's blurb. Absolutely LOVE Kassie's best friend Kelly. I was curious if we would get more of her around seeing how she connected with Sam during the Declan/Lorenzo drama. The potential war between the two MCs sounds intense. Kelly being lured back to Las Vegas because Kassie is kidnapped.. The fuck? Send the five foot nothing barely over 100 pounds to the rival MC to spy. Seriously bad idea.

After a failed proposal, 26 year old Kelly finds herself back in Vegas with her best friend. Kassie invited her to stay with her and Declan at their penthouse and partner with her. Declan has been scarce but Kassie is his Old Lady now. The Nine are upset at the prospect of a rival club - The Devil's Wraiths - being responsible for the accident Sam had that killed him. The Wraiths lace booze at the Fourty-Five club and snatch Kassie. The fuck. Kelly comes clean that her cousin is in the SoCal chapter of the Wraiths and may be able to infiltrate their compound - as a sweet butt. Long lost cousin Matthew takes Kelly to the Devil's playpen to meet Mac and Leo. Apparently the VP saw her picture and decided she was to be his.. 33 year old Leo is a damn giant compared to Kelly. She wants him (and the MC life), which means her loyalties will be tested.

Kelly is enamored by Leo. She meets the girls of the playpen, well a few of them - the royals. They ask her to help set up a porn site to bring in the money. Kelly makes contact with Kassie when Leo takes her with him to calm down their hostage. Kassie is livid over her best friend's feelings for the rival club. Kassie tells Kelly that Leo has been receiving emails like Declan. Kelly is able to hack his account and locate the source - the Nine's prospect Tot who is really a Lorenzo! The fuck. Kelly and Kassie are BARELY able to save the two MCs from fighting. The ending is really anticlimactic but Kelly chooses to be with Leo in the end.

Cliffhanger – no (book 2 of series)

****Received copy from publisher for honest review****

I've read several of books by Colleen Masters and have liked every one of them. I liked this one. However, this was probably my least favorite as a few things fell short for me.

This book can be read as a stand alone but does continue from Ms. Masters first work in her MC series, "Dante's Nine".

Kelly, Kassie, from book one's best friend, needs a new start. She moves to Vegas to help Kassie with her new company and discovers she misses her MC past in the process. When trouble with another local MC results in Kassie being kidnapped, Kelly is thrust back into the MC world as a "sweet butt", spying on the rival MC. What she doesn't know but soon discovers is, she is instantly claimed by the VP of the Devil's Wraith. When she realizes she is falling for him, Kelly comes face to face with hard decisions, ones calling into question, friendship, loyalty and most importantly love.

This book felt rushed in my opinion. While I liked the characters and liked the route the story was headed in, it went so fast, it almost felt unbelievable. I've heard of love at first sight, but this was ridiculous. If the book had been longer, I really feel I would have enjoyed it more. Ms. Masters would have had better opportunity to develop the relationships within the story. I also wanted to see more conflict once Kelly is revealed in the deception. I felt like Leo was very ok with it all and felt it was an opportunity to create a few more climatic situations.

Overall though, I always find myself enjoying Ms. Masters work. I can honestly say, I haven't read one book by her I didn't enjoy. I will continue on with this series.

4 stars!

I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 2nd book in the Dante's Nine MC series. While it can be read as a standalone I think it's best to read Impossibly first so that you have the background for this one.

Kelly Rodgers felt like she was living a lie. Trying to get her life back in order she accepts a job from her best friend Kassie and comes to live in Las Vegas. What she never expects is to get thrown into an MC war between the Dante's Nine and the Devil's Wraiths. She has past and present ties to both MC's. When Kassie is taken hostage by the Devil's Wraiths Kelly is determined that she will do anything to ensure her safety and get her back.

Leo Bane is the VP for the Devil's Wraiths. He is furious over the accusations the Dante's Nine MC are making and plans to make them stop. One way or another. When Kelly is brought into his MC home he is determined to claim her as his.

But can the two survive all the secrets and lies that are between them? Can Kelly keep her feelings for Leo contained to ensure Kassie's safe return?

I loved this book. I have read several of Colleen Masters books and I have never been disappointed. Even though I was unsure what the real deal was with Leo I crushed on him from the beginning. Not only was he absolutely HOT but he had a whole side of him that only Kelly saw. Kelly was feisty and was not ashamed to admit that she wanted Leo, even if there were complications attached to her feelings.

I loved the banter that went on with Kelly and Leo:
"I think I can resist the siren song of khakis," I assure him, "is there a standard g-string I should be wearing?"
"You won't hear my complaining," Leo murmurs, eyes fixed firmly on my a**. He's got a hungry look in his eye that's unmistakable. I wonder if he can tell that I've got some cravings of my own?"
I loved how blunt Leo was, "didn't want Rail to keep you away, thinking we were gonna have you working the pole," Leo says, "And not letting you come around here was never an option. Rail showed us your picture when he asked if you could stay. Took one look at you and knew there was no way I was gonna share you with the rest of the guys." Sometimes God gives us many things and I was wishing I was in Kelly's shoes the first time she saw her man's gift, "my first glimpse of his enormous member leaves me unable to speak. I've never thought of a man's co** as beautiful before, but now? That thick, pulsing rod, poised and ready, is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. "I was thinking about you," he says, his voice muffled through the glass. "Down there in the kitchen, making me a good meal, looking sexy as hell in your little apron. Got hard just imagining you here." I can't wait for the next one in this series.

More like 3,5 stars read for me.

I liked the heroine, she was fun and smart and she knew who she was and what she wanted.

What lowered the rating for me was the functioning of the clubs - it really baffled me:

It was kinda insta-love and from the description I expected Leo to be real badass, hard-core and mean biker... and somehow he was not. He was cocky and sure of himself, yes... But to Kelly he was nothing but honest and passionate and respectful despite what he told at the strip club at the beginning (how women are all the same...).

But overall I liked it, it hold my attention, the sex was hot and heroine was likeable, so it got quite a good rating from me :)

Kelly Rodgers has had it in L.A. Her boyfriend, job and even life should be perfect. But something is missing. When her B list actor boyfriend proposes after six months, she laughs and he gets angry. She leaves and calls Kassie, her BFF. Kassie tells her to come to Vegas and work with her. So Kelly goes home and packs and heads to Vegas in the middle of the night. She wants to join the MC life, which feels like her home. While at the Forty-Five Club, another MC shows up and Kelly is drawn to this hulk of a man. He is Leo, VP of the Devil’s Wraiths MC. She dreams about him day and night. When Kassie is kidnapped by the Wraith, Kelly goes undercover to get her back and help mend the rift between both MC’s. Can her heart survive Leo? What will she do when he finds out the truth? Will Declan and Leo kill the traitor trying to destroy both clubs? I love this series and if you love a great MC story, then this one is for you.

I really liked this book a lot...maybe even more so than the first book. Leo is a HOT not-as-bad-as-he-looks biker in a rival club and when he and his club members kidnap and hold as leverage Declan's love Kassenia because of some misunderstandings between them...it is one big mess.
Kelly is Kassenia's best friend and when she goes "undercover" to try to help get Kassenia released, her fantasy man Leo claims her for his own.
I loved the relationship that develops between the petite but tough Kelly and the hulking but pretty loveable Leo and what happens when the truth is revealed is an interesting (though totally not unexpected) twist. All ends with an HEA and although this book can be read as a standalone, it really helps to have read Impossibly first for the history of characters making up this story.
Sexy and strong women and their alpha male men...love it!

I received Imperfectly as a gift from Colleen for an honest review. I have to say I really enjoy reading Colleen's books.

Imperfectly and Impossibly are a little different from the typical rough an gritty MC books I usually read. The Dante's Nine are a small MC of 9 men, never more. They are more in the background in the book. Leo's MC, the Devil's Wraiths, are more front and center as Kelly goes undercover to infiltrate their club. I loved the banter between Leo and Kelly. They were fun to read.

My only drawbacks to Imperfectly were the thought that a MC would be so willing to forgive the slights against them (Kelly infiltrating the Devils Wraiths and the Wraiths taking Kassie) and that Declan was a total jerk and seemed hotheaded, not as smart as he was in Impossibly. Totally entertaining and enjoyable read if you don't compare to other MCs you have read about.

3.5 stars...

I liked the story, though at times it did drag a bit. If it wasn't for the detail in the naughty scenes it would have only been 3 stars.

I like Leo and I like Kelly. I love that Kassie would sacrifice herself to get her best friend back. She did luck out getting 'claimed' by Leo instead of being passed around through the MC. It was refreshing that Kelly tried to hold her own and use her back nine when in the presence of bad-ass alpha bikers.

The silly part of this story... The problem was resolved so quick and peacefully. Aren't they an outlaw MC? But whatever. I would think Leo was a little pissed that he was essentially lied to but he didn't even blink an eye...

Anyways, it was a decent quick read.

Oh boy... here we go again.

Although Leo seemed a hot, sexy, alpha male, I was expecting him to be a bit more rough around the edges. For, supposedly, being part of a brutal club, he sure is quite soft. He opened up to Kelly way to quickly & she had access to everything right away. I don't know much about real MC's & how they operate but I'm pretty sure that they trust no one so fast. Least of all some strange chick. He just shares club info with her like she's been around forever.

And Kelly is just kind of a twit. Ok, so she's attracted to Leo from the moment she saw him but she just falls for him in a matter of days? Really?!

Again, this book was ok.

The writing was a lot better in this book. The author has definitely improved. The chemistry between Kelly and Leo was immediate and intense. Leo didn't beat around the bush when telling her what he wanted and making her squirm in the process. He was a crazy alpha male. Kelly's quit wit and daring, free-spirited behavior drew me to her immediately. She was a perfect match for the brooding Leo. Kelly was lonely on the inside, but portrayed herself as such a happy go-getter on the outside and Leo gave her the home and acceptance she'd always wanted and needed. I would have liked to see more conflict between the two. I felt everything fell too easily into place for them.

I enjoyed this book. I think the storyline was a little more basic than Impossibly. I loved Leo's character and was glad we got to see more of Declan. I liked Kelly well enough, I just thought she rambled a bit and I honestly thought maybe she was more concerned about sleeping with Leo than about rescuing Kassie. I guess I found that part a little bit hard to believe, but it wasn't really a major issue. Just my perception of Kelly and her immaturity.

But overall I enjoyed this book and read it pretty quickly. I'd probably read another one in this series if one is released.

Really enjoyable read, can be read as a standalone but better to read after "Impossibly" so you know who the Dante' s Nine characters are.
Kelly is an ideal heroine, feisty, loyal, independent and perfect to match the gorgeous, hot and sexy Leo.
Good storyline, not as violent as some other MC books I've read but I liked that, the violence was hinted at but didn't rule the book.
My only complaint is that I felt that the ending was a little rushed but that didn't ruin things for me just my personal thoughts.
I'd like to see Dani get her own HEA just a suggestion :-)

I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. Well here goes...

This is the first of Colleen Master's work that I have read. So although the second in the series, it didn't detract from the story. I read this book all in one sitting, even though there were other things I should have been doing! In fact I must say I fell a little bit in love with Leo myself. I'll certainly be reading the rest of the series as it becomes available and will probably even go back and read the first too!

Kelly decides to go undercover using her cousin as a way in. But things start to get complicated when a tall, dark and sexy leo bane comes onto the sceen. This story was explosive and brilliant.

Leo is HOT!!!

so I really liked this book, loved Leo and loved Kelly from the first book! it was very fast paced, I know some people hate that but I find it refreshing.... I get bored when the characters take to long to get into action!!! my only problem is they were a little soft compared to what the first book was but still liked it any way. I would recommend this, and I would love for there to be another book!!!

First I would like to thank the author for an ARC of this book. This was another fun read by this author! I enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down! It was well written and edited. There were a couple of errors, but nothing big. I've read a few MC books and this had a nice refreshing storyline. The end was a little cheesy, but I thought it worked. I can't wait to see what the author comes out with next.

I love this Dante's Nine series and I loved this MC book!!! Story of Leo making Kelly his own...very steamy and yummy. I really enjoy when main characters from previous stories in a series are pulled into the current story and their stories continue to develop...like Declan and Kassie.

Overall, this was a great book and I would highly recommend this series and this book!

The story of Dante's Nine and the Devil's Wraith was a great read!!! I loved all the Drama, love, and craziness of this book!!!! Kelly and Leo have great chemistry, and its great to see 2 women be able to help solve a problem between 2 MC clubs. This was a page turner, and I constantly wanted to know what happened next. I love the idea of the strong, sexy, biker, and the hot, smart chick. This was a great MC book and sequel the Impossibly!

Kelly is longing to be part of an MC and moves to Las Vegas to join forces with Kassie and work on her website. But when two MC's clash and Kassie is kidnapped Kelly is forced to go in as an informant. Kelly does not expect to feel at home and fall for the MC's VP Leo. Leo is instantly attracted to Kelly and claims her a his own. Thankfully Kelly and Kassie are smart enough to know that this conflict needs to be resolved.

Just because the ride motorcycle doesn't make them a MC

This book didn't really do it for me. I'm not in the lifestyle but I don't think this book was either.

The chemistry between the two main characters were ok but I did skim most of the book.

I think with some changes this could be a decent read.

Loved 3/4 of it then....

I think the story moved too fast for me. Instant love than instant forgiveness was just too much. Leo just didn't come across as a hard Asus biker from the less moral MC not to mention to VP of said club. I did like Kelly but this story was just too condensed and the last 1/4 had me rolling my eyes one too many times with too much sugar.
