11-year-old Devon Cullin and his pals embark on a boat trip to their favorite island off the coast of Florida. Upon arrival they discover that a hurricane has suddenly turned their way. Barely surviving a harrowing trip back home, they flee to the house and try to engage the hurricane shutters as the fierce storms hits, much stronger than originally forcast. When an upstairs window shatters, the boys decide to venture out during the eye to get a board from the shed to cover the hole. Will they make it back inside and secure the house before the worst half hits...or will this wicked storm destroy the house...and them along with it?
