When I was rejected two years ago, my pack began hunting for me.
Better dead than rejected, they said.
The Outcast Pack gave me a home and kept me hidden from them, and I got comfortable.
Too comfortable.
My pack's hunters have closed in on me. Now the only way I can survive is by asking someone to bite me to claim me as their fake-mate, and then watching said fake mate pass my pack's challenges. That's their way of proving to them that he belongs in the pack--and that I'm more than the worthless rejected female they see me as.
My friend Sebastian volunteers to be my fake mate, but when it becomes clear that the challenges are weighted against him, and people begin to realize the truth behind our lies, everything changes once again.
When I'm thrown into the fight with him, we have to learn to work as real mates would… or we'll both lose everything.
*This new-adult novel is a full-length, slow-burn standalone romance featuring sexy werewolves, stubborn women, and enough sarcasm to drown a werewolf.

Alaska, like many other of the female werewolves in their lack, was abused by her original pack and found her way to a loving new found family instead. But when those previous pack members who abused her show up, Alaska knows she has to go back. What she didn’t expect was Bash going with her. Though this was only a novella, and I wished it had been a little longer so we could have delved deeper, I was still so enthralled with the way the author held Alaska and Bash’s friendship and mutual respect up to the poor members of Alaska’s original pack to show them that type of relationship was possible. This novella tackled not only the deliverance of Hope to those pack members, but also the realistic way that those in an abusive system either take advantage or refuse to leave the comfortable routine they know, even when it’s dangerous. My heart broke at points, but Alaska’s fierceness, Bash’s respect and perseverance, and their willingness to rely on each other carried them through a terrible situation. Cameos from other series characters also made the end of this novella special and I really enjoyed seeing what had happened to them!
I think that this book is best if you have read the rest of the series and are looking forward to a final/wrap-up book. I didn't realize that was the case and I felt like I was missing a fair amount. I could figure things out for the most part but there was a lot about the pack and the other rejects but I didn't have any context for them. There was also clearly issues with being rejects and gifts and Alaska's past. They were hinted at but it felt like the relationship with her and Bash had been building up and I missed that history.
The writing felt a bit stilted. I felt like I knew nothing about Bash at the end of the book and Alaska was barely better. But there was a strange focus where active scenes are glossed over and slower scenes are drug out for pages. The longer overly detailed scenes don't even really move the plot or character development forward. There are four pages (of a novella) dedicated to Alaska cleaning. To the point I know she does three loads of laundry and what is in each one. And there wasn't really introspection happening.

I’ve liked all the stories in this series overall, and I was especially excited for this last one. It had a bit more of an edgy, high action summary and start to the book. But like the other book’s “conflicts” this one was luke warm. A sort of conflict, multiple pages of pretty slow writing, and a very fast and not at all satisfying make up/partial apology/or forgiveness scene to resolution. It was like smelling a really good piece of fruit and then having kinda turn to mush in your mouth. Not the worst but also not living up to the hype of the exterior. This author’s more recent books have a bit more groveling, substantial apologies, and behavior changing by the characters in relation to the main conflicts. More believable and endears you to the MMCs/FMCs efforts. But these were just meh. Too quick, too easy, no real accountability. Things like “flowers would be a waste” were said and chapters started with “and that was our routine for months” aka months of nothing and no one addressing their issues. This book was a let down with the strong start and murky finish.
A great conclusion to a wonderful series! I really loved reading this novella and getting a beautiful conclusion. Alaska's past is given to us in spurts over the past few books, but her full story was unfolded in this book. We see her struggles coming from an abusive pack to accepting love from others. Her story with Bash is really a wonderful one to read. We get to see a heroine who has learned to be independent softening and realizing that another can love her. Bash truly is her perfect match, he's steadfast and kind without any ultra alpha male vibes that other werewolf stories have. This story plunges Alaska back to her old pack, and we see her strength truly shine and Bash's unyielding support. I really loved having snippets of Alaska in past stories, and I'm very glad she had her own place to shine. Additionally the ending was super sweet, and had me re-reading late into the night. This book is a non-stop adventure, and a novella that I could not stop reading!
Overall I enjoyed this book. My biggest complaint was the length as I always wish Lola’s books were longer!
If you loved the rest of the series but wanted some closure for Alaska and Bash you will get it here. We have a bad a$$ heroin who is trying to get past some trauma and while her initial relationship with Bash left us with some questions this book finished with a HEA. Bash brings it with the quiet but respectfully possessive alpha. He doesn’t give you too many MINE vibes so if you prefer a Hero that lets the heroin stand on her own two feet you’ll love bash. This lead to some miscommunication but a sweet story overall.
Due to the shorter novella length there were definitely some holes in the details but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment. As always Lola touched on some difficult topics without making this book too dark or offering too many triggers.
Definitely read this AFTER the rest of this series.
Wicked Pack is the final novella in the Rejected Mate Refuge series and does a really great job of wrapping up the loose ends.
Alaska is a key member of the rejected pack and it was so nice to have a book focused entirely on her. While we have learnt a little about her past throughout the other books in the series this one delves deeper into her past, her old pack and the struggles she faced.
Trauma presents itself in many different ways and Alaska definitely takes the offensive and pushes her independence from males in her life. Her relationship with Bash is beautiful and it was great to see how she has to soften to let him in and realising that she is worthy and allowed to feel and accept love. She is a wonderful and realistic protagonist. Bash is the perfect companion for her and it was nice to see a male wolf without the intense alphahole attitude!
Wicked Pack is a wonderful end to the series and fans of the Rejected Mate Refuge series won’t want to miss it.
Alaska and Bash were forced to mate in order to protect Alaska. Since it was spur of the moment, the mating is not intimate and starts off as a sort of contract. They are then forced to go to the Andola Pack, where Alaska is from, to take care of a problem she has been running for for years. While they are there dealing with the packs outdated views they are forced to accept how they feel about each other, only problem is they lack good communication skills which makes thinhs really stressful for both. Eventually, with the help of their friends, they talk and get their HEA. I also enjoyed getting a snippet into the current lives of the other characters from the serious. It would have been nice to hear about what happened to the women who were taken in from Taylors old pack and other wolves that were frequently mentioned. All in all, I enjoyed the entire series and the standalones that accompanied the series
4.5 stars. Alaska, the female lead, escaped from her abusive pack. When they find her, they demand she and her mate return. Bash, the male lead, stands as her mate - they’ve had an encounter before but it didn’t go any further because of a lack of communication.
I really enjoyed the action and social justice commentary in this story though I admit that I struggled with the lack of communication between lead characters regarding their relationship! Argh! Just speak to each other people.
The story was mostly female lead POV (I appreciated that there was SOME male POV), well written, and a great ending to the series. I enjoyed how ends were tied up and the input from secondary characters as well as seeing how they were settling after their own stories.

I have been waiting for Alaska's story since she was first introduced! Fierce and mysterious, Alaska definitely makes her presence known whenever she's featured in the other rejected mates books. Although this book can be read as a standalone, you get the best reading experience if you read the other books in the series!
I really enjoyed Wicked Pack, partly because I liked Alaska at first mention, but also because I loved Bash. He is such a respectful and heroic partner, and I just loved everything about their romance. In this book we see Alaska and Bash return to Alaska's original pack. I thought the exploration of this pack was really well developed, and that the ending/resolution was very well done. Overall, would absolutely recommend and will be re-reading it again soon!
Alaska’s old pack hunters have finally found her and she must return with them. The only way to survive is to take a mate who must then pass her old pack's challenges, which are designed to work against her mate.
Bash steps up to go with her and be her mate. When they throw her in to face the challenges with him and to prove they are real mates who can work together, he is respectful of her, treats her as an equal partner, and they proved themselves worthy. I think the ending was well done and hope it served as an example to the downtrodden pack members who are still stuck in the old ways that kill hope. Grab your copy and see how it all comes together.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Wicked Pack, the seventh book in the Rejected Mates Refuge series by Lola Glass. This quick read is Bash and Alaska's story, but it is way more than that. This was an interesting look into the syndrome that many people who have been, or are being, abused fall into. This story borders on beautiful in its message. Bash and Alaska are thrown into a situation and their friendship, mutual respect and yes, love shine a light and project something special... hope. A great addition to the series and a definite must read.

I thought this book was good. Understanding dawned regarding some of the issues I had regarding this book and read the author's notes afterwards. Lola is an amazing person from what I read and is truly inspirational. She is one of the few authors I wish I could meet and chat with... Alas, I am not on social media so I will just agree with her own comments and say that although this isn't the best book in the series it is still a good book and well worth reading. Great job Lola, considering the issue you had with Amazon. Reminds me of Bella Forrest who is MIA as well. Keep up the good work!!
I loved this series, I'm a bit sad that this is the final book in the series and while it did tie up some loose ends, I still wish for more from the Outcasts and tbh I didn't LOVE this book like all the others, there was something missing and after reading the acknowledgements... I get it. Losing your livelihood, access to your Amazon account... all that stress. I never could've written a book in those conditions. On top of that, to fall out of love with the genre you write in... it can't be easy. As I stated, I would've loved to have more from this pack, but under thee conditions I'm grateful we ever even got to read Alaska's story.
I enjoyed all of your standalone werewolf books from one to seven. I stayed up all night with a few of them because I couldn't put them down . I tried to atlease give all of the werewolf books a 5 star rating but I don't like to write so this review is for all seven books.Great read a page turner loved them al!looking for my next book by this author.
The women characters in the book I don't know seems like They have gone through so much To get to the point where they can take a mate
I have readed all your books. I love your story. I well Continue to read any book you write you are one of my favorite Author. When I have a bad day i pick up the book I'm on read and i forget my bad day it help me Escape when i need to. I have a very sick child she is in mobile. I do very thing for her. Most of the time I'm tired. But when i have my Quiet time i read it help me deal with all the thing i have to do. Or like when we are in the hospital. Reading help me Coup with what happening. So Thank You So Very Much.
Ms. Glass delivers in this remarkable series. Her characters are well developed and relatable. Her world building, while not fully expanded on, is well done. uncomplicated, and leaves room to expand on it in further books. I love the way she deals with sensitive subjects that may be triggering to somebut are handled with intellectual sensitivity. While the last four books are stand alone, I definitely Recommend starting with book one.
After reading the initial trilogy, Alaskas story was the one I wanted to read the most so i skipped to this one. It didnt seem like i missed much, just some of her background that she must have filled the pack in with in another story. We get the majority of it in this novel through flashbacks though. This was a cute quick read. The story isn't too crazy and the resolution happens rather quickly. There is also some spice once they stop miscommunicating. Miscommunication is not my favorite trope but it was minimal here so it wasn't too bad.
It was nice to see Alaska and Bash’s story. It was short but sweet. Lots of miscommunications that worked out in the end. Loved how Bash view Alaska not as a possession but as his equal and and new she could take care of herself which worked for them in some way. Because it still didn’t mean that he didn’t love her or didn’t think of her as his any less. The ending was great. The epilogue are awesome. Enjoyed the read.
I loved the novella, the story was different, much like Alaska and Bash and I thoroughly enjoyed💛 it. It was a short, lively and harmonious story. I appreciated that both of them came forward with their feelings at the beginning rather than dancing around it 💛.
Now that the series has come to an end, I'm all about the bonus chapters if we get them🤞🤭. I'm excited 🤩 to meet Taylor's triplets, Alaska's Little devil💛. Hope🤞 to meet them soon 🤭💛.
I absolutely love Bash and Alaska! After surviving much more than any woman ever should Alaska has finally started living while at the Refuge. When he old nightmares become reality Bash steps up and becomes the one thing they both need. This was a great book to wrap up the series although I'm definitely saddened to leave all these characters. I hope she returns to them again.
I really loved this one. I love all of the Rejected Mates books. This was a novella, but still packed quite a story! The plot is really interesting and fast paced. The dynamics of the old pack and how they worked was really interesting. I really appreciated getting the wrap up of this series and closure for Alaska and Bash. They're definitely one of my favorite couples. I loved this series and am so sad to see it go!
Loved this story .. warning ...you may need fireproof underwear when reading this....
Misunderstandings and too much consideration without conversation can lead to chaos but a chosen mate that loves you is so much better than a fated mate who is just using you . Seven boos in and I still cant get enough Great series and good to see females in charge for a change and being supported by the males of the pack
Getting Alaska's full story was sad. The way she used her past trauma to become stronger was exhilarating. The romance between Alaska and Bash confused me, and I enjoyed the explanation of how the characters were confused as well. There is some mental abuse and physical abuse, but any talk of sa is from the past. I like what happens to her old pack, but certain people from it don't get enough punishment in this.
I loved this book, it's the perfect way to end the Outcast pack. I loved Bash and Alaska's relationship and the way it supported challenging the traditional roles of women and men in relationships. I love how each of the standalones also gave us snippets into other of the Outcast stories. I would love it there were more books of the Outcast guys like Warren and even Dante.
It was a perfectly fine wrap up of an enjoyable pair of side characters from the other books. Nothing to write home about.
But what truly irks me is the author’s note afterword. She basically says she’s written a lot of books in the werewolf genre and they weren’t very good, and instead she’s going to write fantasy. Cool. Good for you? Glad I wasted a few hours reading a book you weren’t excited to write.
I absolutely love her books, the relationships are more real, the stories come together nicely, I started with the REJECTED PACK books, but plan on reading every single one of her books! Thanks Lola , keep creating, and I promise to keep reading. It's not often that I find an author that I get stuck on, but with this one, I'm happy to say, I DID!
This is another edition to the Rejected Mate Refuge series by Lola Glass. I have wanted to learn more about Alaska since we first met her. I always like learning about the packs/families the rejected mates come from but I didn't like hers. No spoilers - but we don't like them. Great book.
I really liked Bash and Alaska’s story. This one is shorter than the other stand-alones in this series but it is a great read. It’s so different from the other stories as well. They definitely have their own path and it jumps right in. Worth the read. Plus I love for the epilogues that are all connected.
This is a shorter Novella in the Outcast Pack books. I enjoyed this insight into Alaska's past life and why she was rejected. When her old life finally catches up to her, I loved how Bash puts himself out there to help her. Even though these two didn't have as long of a story I felt we still got to know them on a personal level.
I received a ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.
Bash stepped up. He not only proved himself but he also showed how a man should treat a woman in a very different pack where they believed in abuse. I loved how he both put up with them and shut down their poor behavior. The ending was rushed but not unsatisfactory. Love all of Lola’s books. Alaska also is a strong female who didn’t let what happened to her keep her down.
