Will an accidental meeting put an island prince and a stranger both at risk?
Welcome to San Camanez, a humble, peaceful little island in the Puget Sound and home to the McEvoy brothers. Four sexy single fathers—and one childless snack with a beard—who run a brewpub on the beach, raise their kids together, and hope to find love and happiness in the chaos that is life. This is Wyatt’s story ...
Single Dad and chef Wyatt McEvoy was simply heading home after another gruelling day in the kitchen when a battered and terrified woman literally ran right into him. Who did this to her? And if they’re still alive, they won’t be for long.
When Vica Vitale was attacked at the McEvoy’s pub, she nearly paid the ultimate price. Luckily, she knows how to defend herself. Only, no witnesses to see her do it means the police now think she’s a killer. Because of this, her new company has canceled her visa application, and immigration is ready with the handcuffs.
With no family in the country, Vica is on her own and terrified. Until Wyatt steps up and makes her the offer of a lifetime. Marry him. Doing so will get his protection and a green card. She only needs to keep her end of the agreement and avoid falling in love with her new husband in the process. Otherwise, she might jeopardize his family’s safety as well as her heart.
A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.
A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

I've been loving this latest Single Dads series, and Smitten with the Single Dad did not disappoint. More than a couple of times, I was white-knuckling my Kindle with all the action, twists, and turns in this story. I loved all the characters. Wyatt and Vica had lots of chemistry; their sexy moments were super hot, and there was a ton of great banter. The kids provided a lot of comedic relief and frequently had me laughing out loud with their antics. I really enjoyed the cameos of past MMCs and can't wait to see who gets their story next!
Romance trope: marriage of convenience Series: Brew Brothers Length: 391 pages
Plot: Vica is about to move across the country in pursuit of a new job, but her current boss insists on taking out the office gang for one last celebration. But he uses that as a final opportunity to put the moves on Vica, and when she turns him down again, the situation turns deadly. With money and reputation and her freedom at stake, Vica doesn't know what to do, but local business owner and single dad Wyatt comes to her rescue. There might be more than just chivalry at play though, if everyone can just admit their feelings.
Commentary: The kids were cute and Wyatt was a great dad. That was actually the best part of the story. It was weird that nobody suspected the actual bad guys until they were right up on them - it seemed obvious to me.
Book 3 of the Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers series and we get to meet Wyatt.
If having a most terrible night, escaping only to run smack into the chest of a handsome stranger were in the cards, Vica would be ahead of the game. Thankfully that stranger is Wyatt! Wyatt and his brothers won’t fail to impress another damsel in distress.
The book is sad and sweet, family oriented and sexy. These books bring in a female from the “outside” and turn them into part of the family. I’ve really enjoyed reading the books- there’s always a must or bit if heartache the characters must get past but don’t fear you’ll get your sexy!!! I just can’t wait to get to know more of the brothers and continue on with their family story.🍻
Thank you to the author, Whitley Cox, and Happily Booked PR, for the opportunity to read this book. I received an epub copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The third book in this series and Smitten with the Single Dad didn't disappoint. This book focuses on Wyatt McEvoy and Vica Vitale and both were interesting characters and their chemistry steamy. Reading the interactions between all the characters, especially Vica and Wyatt's sons, gave all the feels, there was everything from humor to sadness. While this book is definitely a contemporary romance if did feel like a spin on a whodunit, there was murder, suspense, shady dealings, and more. One thing that I really appreciate about Whitley Cox's writing is that the character aren't one dimensional and that as they go through plot twists and challenges you can see the character development. And in this book you say Vica learning to open up to others and Wyatt being forced to see what is right in front of him. Great series, recommend to anyone looking for a contemporary romance with some action and drama.
This was my first book by Whitley Cox. I unfortunately didn't realize this was part of a series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone, but I always prefer to read a series when I know about it.
This books contains a heavy topic of abuse/rape and how the aftermath is dealt with.
Vica was placed in an unfortunate spot after an attack and she had a single Dad and entire commune supporting her. Wyatt is a single Dad who will help anyone and everyone deserving enough.
I adored Wyatt's two boys and how caring and sweet they were. The rest of the characters were wonderful additions to the story and the group of characters.
I'm intrigued now and adding all the others to by TBR.
Thank you to Whitley Cox for an ARC copy of this book.
Whitley sure knows how to keep you hooked into a book! Single dad, suspense, spice what more can you ask for?? I loved Wyatt and Vicas story! Vica is such a strong woman and Wyatt jumping in to help her is so sweet even though I wanted to slap some sense into him at the end! Griff and Jake were such great characters and I love their personalities! This book was so good and made me want to go make some fresh pasta! Haha
I've been lucky enough to get my hands on an arc of the third instalment from the McEvoy brothers series, and boy this did not disappoint. I am fairly new to Whitleys writing but cannot fault it. I have just devoured this book from start to finish today. Unlike the first two in the series this does deal with a slightly heavier storyline for the main characters but that doesn't stop the humour, love, laughter, witty banter you have come to know and love from this series! Whitley managed to balance both the suspense and drama with the emotional and tender side so well. You fall in love with the main characters storylines and their developing relationship.
I urge anyone to pick up any one of the Single Dads of San Camanez series, if you are looking for an all encompassing loveable, friendly cosy read. Not just likeable, but loveable characters, and as per, side characters especially the children, as always spot on, not quite sure what she puts into her pages but you will without a doubt, not be disappointed.
I cannot wait to read even more from the Brew Brothers!
Thank you to Whitley and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read and review Smitten with the Single Dad - all opinions are my own.
Each time I read a book in this series, I fall in a little more love with the McEvoy brothers.
I loved Wyatt in both his brother's previous books and now that he has his own, I love him even more. Engulfed in all the ways he and Vica connect and interact and fall in love was everything. They had such a great connection and fire. He's so protective and how she knows that he can be a safe space for her was wonderful. Of course, I always love how these brothers interact with each other, they have such a bond!
Vica is strong and fiesty even through the trauma she has had to endure. She doesn't let it define her! With the McEvoys and especially with Wyatt and the boys she finds a place where she can let her walls down and feel safe and protected and most importantly loved.
Each time I read a book in this series, Whitney takes it up a notch and I loved the suspense in this one, the twists and turns that kept me engaged and entertained. There is so much love and caring, acceptance and yes, even sadness and pain in this book and that's what makes it so great. There is also spice and laughter, so you run the gamut of intensity in this one. Your emotions get a workout and your heart gets a little bruised and and a little overjoyed and makes you feel like you've experienced something really great. I adore books like that. I want to feel their stories and Whitney definitely let me feel this one.
Jake and Griffon were adorable and I love them to death - they are just the greatest. They have been through a lot in their little lives and yet Wyatt and his brothers, and the whole family make sure they are always loved and supported and I think it is this support system and devotion that makes them so accepting of Vica. When the three of them are together, the love just bursts off the page and you can't help but get wrapped up in it.
Although the 3rd in the series, this book is easily read as a stand alone and I think that it has to be my favorite so far!
If any of these appeal to you, then you are going to have to make time to read this book because you won't be disappointed.
-widowed MMC -single dad MMC -feisty Italian FMC -small town -found family -Band of brothers -3rd person POV -spice -romantic suspense -ex-military -forced proximity -marriage of convenience - little boys who steal your heart - family bonds
Thanks to #whitleycox and #happilybookedpr for this amazing read.
As my first read by Whitley Cox, I enjoyed how much I liked her writing. Her characters are easy to love, relate to, and connect with. Even though this is the third book of this series, I was able to enjoy the story and not feel like I was missing key points from earlier books. Like always though, I will be reading the previous books as I hate to leave any series not read entirely.
Wyatt is a widower, single father with two adorable boys. His family has definitely rallied around him to help support him and his children and it is easy to see how much this family loves each other. Wyatt is doing his best to raise good men and it is evident when they easily accept a stranger into their home. His need to protect those he cares about radiates off of him and his former military training is definitely put to use.
Vica is celebrating a new job that will be in a new city, but before her adventure begins, disaster strikes. She is approached by her former boss who isn’t taking no for her answer. This leads to self-defense, and her boss left unalive. As she is fleeing, scared, she meets Wyatt and his brothers, who promise to protect her. Wyatt is drawn to her, beyond wanting to keep her safe, and as her boss situation turns very messy, the need he has to protect her is more than just doing the right thing. As their feelings grow and their love affair continues, it’s obvious their plan may need to change.
I was enchanted with this story. The depth of emotion, complex situations, real word issues; they were all woven together beautifully to provide a wonderful story. Even beyond Wyatt and Vica, the side characters are a much needed element to this story and add so much to it. Watching how they accept Vica and bring her into their family is heartwarming. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and really am looking forward to reading other works by Whitley!
As always, review any author notes before reading.

Welcome back to San Camanez Island and the protective world of the McEvoy brothers. Not only that b/c the one-liners, between them & their children and from their children will have you rolling.
Vica is just trying to enjoy her last time out, with coworkers, before beginning her next journey with a new job. While she doesn't want to be there, she sucked it up one last time. Unfortunately, all hell breaks loose after being attacked at the McEvoy's Pub and Wyatt is there to protect her in the aftermath. This aftermath, unfortunately, turns both their worlds upside down when immigration becomes involved since she was only in the country on a work Visa. His solution? Marry him...
Who would have thought that a marriage of convenience would be the easier part of life? Attacks, against her & ultimately his family, keep coming at every turn and it becomes hard to know who to trust.
The suspense and connection are both beautiful in this book. While a 3rd act break-up is always expected, I absolutely love the way Whitley completed it. Vica and Wyatt, even with there being insta-lust, actually talked to each other throughout and got to know each other on more than a surface level. At least, that's how I felt about them.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR DOM'S BOOK NEXT!!
Thank you to Whitley Cox & Happily Booked PR for selecting me for this ARC!
Smitten with the Single Dad is the 3rd book in an amazing Single Dads of San Camanez series.
Another brother gets bitten with the love bug. This book it’s Wyatt’s turn.
I absolutely fell in love with this one, i could not put it down. This had nail-biting drama and suspense, the story gave me all the feels and emotion, Anger, angst, laughter, so much witty banter and emotional heart felt moments, passionate romance. All the brothers and families are included in the story, and they all make wonderful heroes and each new partner just adds to the mix. Wyatt and Vica are no exception the connection they had was instant Vica ran into him after running from her attacker she felt an instant safe haven and allowed him in which surprised herself as she was closed of to avoid hurt after many losses. That night after a work leaving party she is running from her boss whom attacked her, the self defence her brother and his friends taught her kicked it and after a knee to the groin and a throat punch causes him to die her whole world collapses around her. Wyatt’s boys are fabulous Jake and Griffon. are adorable, Griffon has no filter and is adventurous and naturally hilarious, totally adored him lol. I fell in love with Wyatt’s boys especially little Griffon favourite line being. Jake - Take away all my books as punishment but you’re an idiot dad. Griffon - yer take away all Jake’s books but your an idiot Dad. 😂😂😂😂 So full of drama I won’t spoil the story but several attempts of Vicas life happen on the island and she gets close with he whole of Wyatt’s family which was lovely, this is packed with drama intrigue throughout keeping us guessing who the bad guys are. I highly recommend the series.
I recently finished Smitten with the Single Dad by Whitley Cox, and I have to say, it was a delightful read that truly captured my heart!
The story revolves around Wyatt, a single dad trying to juggle the challenges of parenthood while dealing with his own past. When Vica enters the picture, she brings a fresh energy that helps Wyatt confront his struggles and embrace new possibilities. Their chemistry is electric, filled with witty banter and tender moments that kept me turning the pages.
What I loved most about this book is how well-developed the characters are. Wyatt’s journey as a single father felt authentic, and I found myself really connecting with his challenges. Vica’s vibrant personality added a spark to the story, and their evolving relationship felt both realistic and heartwarming. I was rooting for them every step of the way!
Cox does an excellent job balancing humor with deeper themes. I laughed out loud at some moments while also feeling a tug at my heartstrings during more serious scenes. The interactions between Wyatt and Vica went beyond romance; they explored healing and personal growth, which I found incredibly moving.
The writing itself is engaging and flows beautifully. The dialogue is sharp and often humorous, making it an enjoyable read from start to finish. I appreciated the pacing as well—just when I thought things were slowing down, there would be a twist or a heartfelt moment that pulled me right back in.
In conclusion, I’d give Smitten with the Single Dad a solid 4 stars for its charming characters, emotional depth, and delightful storytelling. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance that balances humor with heart, this book is definitely worth picking up!
I loved the previous two books, so that made this reading experience even better!! I really enjoyed this book!
Smitten With The Single Dad is the third book in the Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers series. It is a small town single dad romance (i know small town AND single dad). It follows Wyatt and Vica.
Wyatt is a single dad of two boys, Griffon (6 years old) and Jake (8 years old). His kids are the most adorable, funny, sweet, and brave kids I have ever read about! They own my entire heart ❤️. Wyatt used to be a scout sniper for the marines and is now the head chef of the brewpub he owns with his brothers.
Vica is an engineer. She's about to start working at a new company and leave her old job. Her colleagues have organised a getaway to the small town San Camanez, as a bit of a send-away-party. The day was filled with taste-testing at a winery, bars & the Brew Brothers pub. Unfortunately, this means that her former boss is there as well. He doesn't understand the word 'no'. Vica has never shown any interest in this man, but he just doesn't seem to get it. One thing leads to another, and Vica finds herself in a sh*t situation. Luckily, Wyatt is ready to be there for her and protect her in whatever way he can.
I had so much fun while reading this book! I love the characters so much!! Especially the kids. I also really love the fact that all the Brew Brothers have each other's backs, no questions asked. Their brotherhood is everything to me. Smitten With The Single Dad wasn't just a small town, single dad romance, it is also action and tension filled. It kept me on my toes the whole time, and I couldn't put this book down!!
Tropes: -widowed MMC -single dad MMC -feisty Italian FMC -small town -found family -Band of brothers -3rd person POV -spice -romantic suspense -ex-military -forced proximity -marriage of convenience
This series has been so good. I love this small-town feel. The band of brothers who all lost their wives in a tragic car accident has made for beautiful stories as they start over.
Vica is attacked by her boss on the island when she tries to defend herself and escape, she accidentally kills him. This creates a snowball effect that causes her to lose her new job and green card in one fell swoop. The McEvoy brothers step up to help and protect her. She is such a strong and feisty FMC. Her constantly confusing American sayings give a sweet charm to the story. I laughed every time she would say one.
Wyatt, the chef and father to two precious boys, falls hard for her in the process of protecting her. I love the boys so much. Jake (8) and Griffon (6) bring so much life to the story. They are incredibly emotionally mature for their ages. They have been through so much in their short lives but are strong and thriving.
Their love story is epic and full of mystery. Wyatt and his boys fall hard, but Wyatt struggles with moving on from his late wife. In the end, they get their HEA. This book is available now. It is a standalone, but the third in this series. I highly recommend them. I am a hardcore fan over here.
Quotes: When their lips touched, it was like a new star had just formed in the sky. The world seemed brighter, and for the briefest of moments, nothing in Vica's life didn't make sense.
This is the third book in The Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers series and it focuses on Wyatt and Vica. I cannot get enough of these brothers! It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the prior books to get to know this family as the brothers make appearances here. Wyatt is a single father with two sons and spends his time in the kitchen while running a business. However, as he is leaving one night, he gets more than he bargained for when a woman runs into him after being assaulted. Vica is a woman who works in a male dominated field and is in the US on a visa. For her last day with her company before leaving for a new opportunity in New York, her boss, Track, throws a farewell party with some of her colleagues but what happens next is the story of nightmares. Fortunately, Vica knows self-defense and handled the situation but at a cost. The chemistry between Wyatt and Vica is sizzling from the moment they come into contact. Adding to the storyline is Wyatt’s two sons, Griffin and Jack. These two are just precious and the way they bring Vica into the fold is beautiful as they help distract her from her unknown situation. This book has all of the feels, and the series just keeps getting better. Ms. Cox has a way of crafting her characters that readers cannot help but get pulled into the wonderful world she’s spinning. Overall, these McEvoy men will steal your heart so carve out some time in your day to pick this one up and start reading…realize once you start, you will not be able to stop until the end. I recommend this book and the rest of the series.
⭐️ARC REVIEW⭐️ Smitten with the Single Dad by @coxwhitley 4 ⭐ / 2.5🔥🌶
This Book is everything! It can be read as a Standalone but it is the 3rd book in The Single Dads of San Camanez Series by @coxwhitley. The McEvoy brothers step up and help protect feisty women;. but none of them are fiester than Vica the Italian Engineer here on a work Visa.
We are transported to a small town on an island, where the McEvoy Brew Brothers who all lost their wives in a tragic car accident years prior have all begun rebuilding their lives through love. Wyatt is the chef at the family restaurant and single dad to the most adorable 2 boys who are seriously my favorite characters in this book. Or at least have the best lines and advice!
Wyatt falls fast and hard for Vica, the feisty Italian FMC who was at his family restaurant with her boss and co-workers as part of a goodbye trip for her. But when her Boss aggressively comes onto her and she defends herself things take a dangerous turn leading to an emotional but riveting story.
The love they build is fast and epic, and though it starts out as a convenience and “temporary” there was never anything “temporary” about it. Who knew an 8 and 6 year old would be the ones to knock some sense into their father’s head and show him that you can let love in again and have a HEA.
I recommend you add this book to your TBR today!
Thank you @coxwhitley and @happilybookedpr for the ARC!
This was my first time reading from this author and it won't be my last! I absolutely loved everything about this story. This all starts on the small island of San Camanez when Vica comes with her coworkers and boss for her going away party since she is suppose at a new job in New York in a couple weeks. Things took a turn when her boss Track sends her coworkers back to Seattle and coroners her when she comes out of the bathroom. They go outside and he attacks her and she fights right back. Once she got away she took off running and she runs into Wyatt McEvoy. He helps her out and takes her in because she has no where to go. She finds out there were no witnesses to Track attacking her and she ends with up more than one problem when Track father tries to pay her off and she doesn't take it. Wyatt lets her stay with him and he wants to do whatever he can to help her. The brothers of Wyatt and there women go all in to keep Vica safe. One of the problems was Vica's green card was about to expire, but Wyatt stepped up and told her he would marry her so she wouldn't get deported. Wyatt has 2 amazing little boys, Wyatt & Griffin. These boys really bring the laughter and fun to this story. When they all get to do things together you really can feel the love, especially with Vica and the boys. She teaches them Italian and also teaches them how to cook Italian food. There was many moments where you can see the feelings between Vica and Wyatt develop. When it was just them two, the sparks flew and the connection they had was incredible. When I tell you this story is a real page turner it is! The suspense in this is top tier and I lived for it. There was so many twist it keep me wanting to read more.
Tropes: Single Dad Romantic suspense marriage of connivence band of brothers small town (island) forced proxmity chef hero italian heroine who did this to you
When her former boss makes an unwelcome move on her after her going away bar crawl, Vica defends herself, to the d3ath. The brewpub owners protect Vica while the island's incompetent police force investigate, but it's the chef Wyatt who really stands up and offers his home to her while she recovers. Vica moves in with Wyatt temporarily while the investigation is underway, but soon is faced with bigger issues as multiple attempts on her life are made, also risking Wyatt, his two sons, his family, and the island itself. Not to mention, immigration is breathing down Vica's neck, as her work visa is about to expire and her new job turned her away in light of the circumstances. Backed into a corner, Vica is saved when Wyatt insists on a marriage of convenience to get her a green card and protect her better. But with someone out there willing to risk innocent lives to cover up a deep and dark truth, Vica can't help but wonder if she is worth the risk. Wyatt might be stubborn, but is he smart enough to convince her before it's too late?
Marriage of convenience with two kitchen savvy culinary artists and the cutest kids? Vica never stood a chance against Wyatt and his boys. The three of them were ready to fight the world for her, and she fit so seamlessly into their lives. Plus, his family all being around and supportive, with fantastic connections to boot, gave Vica more than a fighting chance. I loved how she got the family, the security, the love, and the passion she so desperately wanted and needed, despite the dark situation.
Smitten with the Single Dad is yet another great Single Dads of San Camanez book. This series truly has my heart. These books are sweet, emotional, spicy, thrilling, and suspenseful. They pull you in right from the start and you won't want to put them down.
"When their lips touched, it was like a new star had just formed in the sky. The world seemed brighter, and for the briefest of moments, nothing in Vica's life didn't make sense."
Vica is a strong female character. Even in the most stressful of situations, she keeps her wits about her and refuses to give up. She has experienced so much loss in her life, but she is still a fighter. When she is attacked, she runs into Wyatt McEvoy. Wyatt will always protect those that need help. He steps right up and gives her a place to stay. He has also known unimaginable loss and has built a life for himself & his son from the devastation. As Vica & Wyatt navigate their forced proximity, sparks fly and hearts are restored. Their connection is beautiful.
"Brave men just accept the 'no' and move on. We all have to learn to deal with and accept rejection. I'm not going to like everyone and not everyone is going to like me, and we need to be okay with that."
The family aspect of this series is one of my favorite parts. All of the McEvoy brothers are so different, but they have come together to build a life for their kids. The children in this book stole my heart.
Another great story in “The Single Dads of San Camanes” series, I’ve enjoyed every one of these stories—they will leave you hooked. These books will always have a place in my heart for how sweet they are. The characters, the stories—each one makes you feel that warmth in your heart, especially the children’s characters, who are so sweet. These books have everything: suspense, romance, comedy, smut—all the good stuff in one place.
After a tragic accident, all these brothers find a second chance at love, which is simply beautiful. Happiness for them and their families—these women come into their lives to shake up their routines and steal their hearts. Vica is an incredibly strong, intelligent, and determined character who never gives up despite all the situations she faces, which are many. She always has a big smile and an incredible love for food that will leave you with a full stomach and a happy heart.
Wyatt is a true gentleman, always protecting Vica, and it’s so beautiful to see them together—their relationship is super sweet. Even more so is the relationship Vica has with Wyatt’s children—it’s simply lovely. Those kids are too adorable, and above all, they have big hearts. The McEvoy children have stolen my heart in these books—they are well-behaved and raised by incredible parents.
This book has amazing suspense; it makes you want to keep reading without stopping. Another tremendous story for the McEvoys.
Lordy Wyatt and Vica have made this my favorite book BY FAR!!!
Single dad who has two sons and runs a business living a simple and safe life only to be thrown in to the unknown running into a woman who was just assaulted. Later to find out she killed him in self defense, did not stop the man’s father from coming after her anyway he could.
Vica just wanted to live a simple life and move on to her next chapter in New York, except her boss Track had other plans. She was his next victim. Vica luckily had training he did not know about and his life ended. Tracks dad came after Vica with everything he had, but this also mean coming after the man who was protecting her with his life.
Vica and Wyatt had a connection from the moment she bumped into him. Not only him, but his two sons as well. She did everything she could to separate her feelings, but loving a lonely life after losing her parents and brother, drew her closer to the boys and securing a loving bond. Wyatt made it his personal mission to help clear Vicas name from everything that was being throw out her. Especially after an accident that involved his kids.
This man does anything and everything and opened up his heart to a woman after his sons said it was ok and that he was an “idiot” ha! That part really got me and I cried pretty good!
I love my visits to San Camanez Island and I was excited for single dad and chef Wyatt McEvoy and Vica Vitale’s story. What I wasn’t expecting was the roller coaster I was going to be taken on and how I was going to be kept on the edge of my seat as I joined this couple for their emotional and entertaining journey. Smitten With The Single Dad is Book 3 in The Single Dads of San Camanez and it’s a great addition to the series. When Vica is attacked by her ex boss it’s Wyatt that finds her. Problem is there are no witnesses to the attack and now she is looking at her life being turned upside down in more ways than one. So can Wyatt save her and give her what she needs….one click to find out. If you love single dad romances or romantic suspense stories look no further than this wonderful read. The characters are easy to love and the stories are believable but what takes these books to another level is simply the writing. Whitley Cox is a very talented author who knows her readers well, she always manages to transport you into the world of her characters and she gives us plenty of men to fall hard and fast for. I loved this book because it has the perfect mix of passion, love, mystery, drama and just enough banter to lift your spirits.
After the week I had, what better way to lighten up my mood than a book written by the amazing Whitley Cox. She has been a constant in my reading life and I always want more books from her. Smitten by the Single Dad is her latest release and it's de third book from The Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers series. This book explores the lives of Wyatt and Vica. Wyatt is a chef and a single dad. Like his brothers, he just wants to raise his kids the better way he can. When he sees a damsel in distress... Vica, in order to defend herself, ends up in a mess that she cannot get out without help. When she the runs into Wyatt, he offers his help and... Jesus. This book was so freaking intense that I'm still catching my breath. Stellar plot, well written, super engaging and so so suspenseful. The way the story progressed left me on edge the entire time. Dayum, I was not expecting this at all. This book will give you love, hate, crime, danger, lust, desire and so much more. Get ready for the rollercoaster you'll find. I love the fact the all the other brothers made an appearance. Can’t wait for more. Dayum Whitley... What a book this was. That mind of yours...
Third in the Single Dads of San Camanez series, this started off wild. Vic’s having to defend herself against her boss, who refused to listen to her turn down his advances, ends up being the target of two old cops on the island victim blaming her. This made me so mad to read, I had to keep going to see it to the end. Wyatt is the guy you want in your corner, hands down. Great with his kids and respectful when Vica wanted space. Loyal despite just having met her, but he was the first to come to her aid and helping her out. This book is about how the community came to help this one person who just wanted to be treated for her talents as an equal and survive on her own. One of the most dramatic and close to reality books I could have read this year. Devoured it because I wanted to know what the next brother was gonna get into and damn did he get into some deep stuff. You have to read this if you’ve read the other books because, once again, Whitley did not disappoint.

Smitten by the Single Dad by Whitley Cox, was such a page-turner! 🥰📖
Wyatt, the widowed single dad of two boys, hasn’t fully healed from the loss of his wife. Enter Vica, an Italian engineer visiting San Camanez Island for her farewell party when her boss attempts to assault her. In self-defense, Vica kills him and escapes, running straight into Wyatt’s path. With nowhere else to turn, Wyatt helps her and brings her to his home.
As Wyatt works to keep Vica safe, he and his boys fall for her instantly. The storyline had me hooked from the very beginning—so much tension, action, and heart! I loved the touch of Italian culture woven into the story and the deep emotional struggle of doing the right thing while fighting for justice against powerful people.
And the spice? 🔥 SO satisfying! The mirror scene... OMG! 😏
Fave quote: ".......watching a parent deteriorate, especially when you had such vivid memories of them being a strong and capable adult, wasn’t easy."
"The way she took him so completely. The way she listened to him and kept her eyes on him. She was such a good girl, and yet she could be so beautifully bad."
Smitten with the Single Dad had me hooked from the very first chapter. When Vica is attacked outside the McEvoy Pub, the first person she sees is Wyatt, he becomes her lifeline and her protector. From the very first moment between these two Wyatt is drawn to her and his protective nature kicks in. As suspense and drama builds along with danger, Wyatt will make a decision to ensure that Vica is protected and has the backing of his entire of family. It was meant to be temporary; it was meant to be an arrangement but what happens when what was all for show becomes so much more. Vica stole my heart with her sweet nature and her independence and Wyatt was a force to be reckoned with when it came to those he cared about. The emotions will run high in their story and at times have you on the edge of your seat. The interactions between Vica and Wyatt's children stole my heart. Griffin at times had me laughing out loud with his unexpected comments. There were a few twists and turns in this story to keep you captivated and on your toes. Another beautiful story by this author that has you falling in love with not only the characters but the storyline and this amazing family.
I have fallen in love with the Single Dads of San Camanez Island! Each Dad is a competent, emotionally literate, gentle parent. While it’s unbelievably tragic that all of their wives died at the same time, their second love stories are utterly captivating!
Wyatt McEvoy is the middle brother, a former marine, and currently the sexy, head chef at the Brothers’ Brew Pub.
Vica is an engineer from Italy. Her visa expires with her current company and on her last day, a co-worker throws her a going-away party at the same Pub where Wyatt works. The same co-worker attempts to sexually assault Vica. She fights back by using the skills her brother taught her and she manages to escape. While running away, she crashes into Wyatt and their story begins.
Here’s what I loved about Wyatt and Vica’s love story: -Professional, Competent adults -Grief, Loss -Found Family -Italian Language -Hot, Passionate, Spicy Love -Wyatt -Vica
You’ll be smitten with Wyatt like Vica is when you read this book! Thank you to Happily Booked PR and Whitley Cox for an ARC version of this book. This was my 3rd in this series and I absolutely love these dads!
