Jamison is running from his past.

Claire is scared for her future.

Six years after aging out of the foster care system, where he was bounced from house to house, Jay is trying to make a life for himself as a mechanic but can never seem to escape the darkness of his past — until he meets her.

Stuck at a crossroads of maintaining an old dream or following a new one, Claire, a middle school English teacher from a loving home, is quickly realizing that starting over can change everything.

When fate, and a 1974 Ford Maverick, bring these two together, they learn sometimes opposites do more than attract and even the most broken people can help put others — and themselves — back together.

I really enjoyed this romance. I loved the rawness of the characters and how much they grew through emotional and childhood trauma. Their love story felt so genuine and inspiring. Definitely recommend this.

This was a good book. The emotional things Jay went through that were still demons was heartbreaking. Claire saw through it all to the man he really was. While the spice is minimal the overall story with the characters was what kept me hooked.

This was such a refreshing read! I absolutely LOVE how Cassandra not only wrote an entertaining book (I did in fact LOL a few times) but she also wrote a book with meaning and life lessons in it! This was my first Cassandra Moll book and I will DEFINITELY be reading more of them!

🌶️This book has very little spice but like I said it’s still a great read!

⛔️ this book does speak about DA but not graphically

This book kept me hanging on by a thread! Every waking moment I wanted to keep reading and know how Claire & Jamison ended up. It was the right amount of heartfelt mixed with the most interesting backstory I have read in a while. I highly suggest this book and cannot wait until the next in the series !

WARNING, THIS BOOK HAS SOME GOOD SH*T EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!

Firstly Claire
Myyy girl, she was such a sweetie with her own baggage on her back. How she helped Jamie seeing the light through the storm was so sweet, and how she was patient and caring, and ugh she is so perfect for Jamison. ❤️‍🩹💗

Secondly,
Jamison's past is so sad. I almost cried on the train because it was so heavy. I understood where his scariness and anger came from, but also how he tried to heal himself for Claire and open up to her is so sweet. They make such a good couple!! 🥹💗

Thirdly the plot
Well, I loved it personally and ho it somehow turned to the car again, and again I loved that, also the character development so well written, nothing is forced or quick, just perfect!

This book had me so captivated - I was truly emotionally invested in the characters and rooting for Claire and Jay the whole time. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that kept me hanging on to the edge of my seat. There’s even some humor in this book! I laughed, I swooned, and boy did I cry. I would highly recommend this read to anyone!

I picked up the book at random, with the genre not being my usual kind of story. But I can honestly say I was hooked from beginning to end. The humor, the romance, the dark undercurrents, and all the lovable characters make this book such a wonderfully sweet break from the horrors of reality. I cannot recommend this book enough to anyone who just wants a beautiful slice of life story with a dash of spice and trauma as seasoning.

I think its me on a book hating binge. For me this didnt give emotional damage and captivating story like I was promised.. for me it was cringe and kinda bleh.
It was drawn out for no reason and would have been more impactful if the book was shorter.

I laughed, I cried, I smiled and I got angry at some parts during this book and I loved every moment of it. I fell in love with Jay MMC immediately and Claire FMC is beyond adorable and so likable. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I was so drawn in and rooting for them from the first moment they met. Opposites in so many ways yet so perfect for each other. Great character development: watching Jay struggle with his past but truly wanting to let Claire in but so scared she would abandon him and Claire truly loving all of him but afraid he would hurt her and yet learning they truly needed each other. I want to Live in Maple Grove with them 🥰.

This was a really good read and a wonderful debut. I’m a SUCKER for a broken boy and I enjoyed learning about Jamison’s past SO much and fell for him at every turn of the page. My heart when all of the pieces of his puzzle come together. That got me 💔.

Things I loved:
- Jamison. I thought his character was really well written with a wonderful character arc throughout the book. Unreal for a debut author.
- the relationship between Jay and Ronan 🫶🏼 I’m so happy these two had each other and I cannot wait for Ronan’s story
- Sean 😂😂. CASSANDRA MOLL - TELL US HE IS GETTING A BOOK
- Claire just not caring about Jay’s past or where he lives.
- I enjoyed that she was the one that puts herself out there with him first. We don’t see that enough in books. Her internal monologue around this made me chuckle.
- Enzo’s and Auntie Anne’s pretzels 🫶🏼

Things I didn’t love as much:
- I had expected a little more angst. This is SUCH a personal thing. Let me be clear - there are emotional moments and a raw backstory, but I had expected this to break me and it didn’t.
- Claire’s character arc wasn’t as strong in my opinion. I didn’t feel as pulled into her “personal storyline” as Jamison’s. I wanted to FEEL more of her anxiety about her future. For there to be more push and pull for her life which maybe would affect her and Jamison and maybe amp up the angst?? Personal thoughts.
- the spicy scenes felt a little rushed. WE WANT MORE!

Overall I cannot believe this is a debut novel and I really really recommend if you like a sweet and easy read with an emotional backstory.

You can bet your sexy a** I’ll be reading Daring Destiny, Book 2 in Maple Grove Series.

*Beautifully Broken* by Cassandra Moll is a captivating romance that follows the intertwined journeys of Jay and Claire, whose paths meet because of a stunning muscle car. This story is a beautiful exploration of healing, self-discovery, and love.

Jay's character arc is particularly moving. We watch him evolve from a broken man, burdened with unresolved childhood trauma, into someone who is able, with Claire's help, to tear down the walls he’s spent years building. His growth is so poignant and relatable, making his journey toward love and self-acceptance both powerful and heartwarming. Claire also embarks on her own personal transformation. She starts to stand up for herself, especially in her relationships with her parents, drawing strength from her love for Jay. Their connection feels raw and real, and watching them support each other through their struggles is truly beautiful.

The supporting characters add an extra layer of depth to the story. From the loyal best friends to the welcoming crew at the mechanic shop, each character brings something special to the table. It’s clear that Cassandra Moll has carefully built a world that is rich with relationships and experiences, and I’m already excited to read more about the secondary characters in future books.

The world-building in Beautifully Broken is exceptional, making the setting feel like a living, breathing part of the story. Every character feels integrated into the plot in a meaningful way, adding authenticity to the overall narrative.

In summary, Beautifully Broken is a compelling and heartwarming romance with well-developed characters, a satisfying character arc, and an engaging story that keeps you invested from beginning to end. If you enjoy stories of growth, love, and second chances, this book is a must-read.

Beautifully Broken by Cassandra Moll swept me away from the very first page—but it was Jay who truly stole my heart. His journey from a tough foster care past to carving out a life for himself as a mechanic was raw, real, and unforgettable. Jay’s quiet strength, layered vulnerability, and determination to keep going—even when life handed him more than his fair share of hardship—made him one of the most authentic characters I’ve read in a long time.

The connection between Jay and Claire felt organic and heartfelt, full of chemistry without ever feeling rushed. I loved how their worlds collided and slowly intertwined, each helping the other heal in ways they didn’t know they needed. Some of my favorite moments were the quieter ones—when Jay let his guard down just enough to let Claire (and us) see the man behind the walls.

Cassandra Moll writes with so much heart and sincerity that by the end, I was rooting for them as if they were real people. If you love stories about resilience, second chances, and the beauty in imperfection, this is an absolute must-read.

BIG BIG BIG SWOON!!!!
I love love love Claire and Jay!
I did the story of Chloe an Ronan first and I already wanted to know the story of claire an jay.
And it did not disappoint! Oh they are just the best the sweetest the cutest and I loved reading how it all began.
And to also know a bit more on Ronan and Chloe.
Everything came back to the mustang and I loved how that played such a part in their story.
How they gravitated towards each other was amazing.
And they may have been broken.
But I feel they made each other whole.
Cass did an amazing job with this one I just love her writing.
And Daphne as narrator i just want to keep listening and listening she just really brings the character and the story to life.
But we can’t forget about the male narrator because yesss this is double pov story.
And he did amazing too just the right raspiness and broodiness in the voice.
Couldn’t have picked them better myself.
They sold the story it really felt i was a spectator on the side line to watch their love blossom.
All the credits to Cass for writing this beautiful story!!!

This book completely stole my heart. I laughed, cried, smiled, and even got a little mad at times—but I loved every second. I fell for Jay right away, and Claire is so real, sweet, and easy to love. From the moment they met, I was hooked, rooting for them as they worked through their fears and insecurities. They’re so different in so many ways, yet absolutely perfect for each other.

I didn’t just read this book—I felt like I lived it. The writing is so vivid and full of emotion that I felt everything right along with the characters. I could picture myself in Maple Grove, caught up in their story. Every time I put the book down, I couldn’t wait to pick it back up.

This is such a beautiful story about love, healing, and finding the person who makes you whole. If you’re looking for a love story that sticks with you, this is the one. I can’t recommend it enough—and now I can’t wait for Daring Destiny!

I see the vision and the author clearly has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately, this book doesn't refute the stereotype that self-published books are poorly edited. This story had SO MUCH amazing potential and the author is clearly passionate about what she's doing, so I am very optimistic over her future works. However, it needed A LOT more work in terms of editing. Sentence structure, grammar, comma-placement and overall story structure were found lacking and in need of some professional insight.
I understand that indie authors don't always have access to the same resources as trad authors, and it makes me sad because I think everyone deserves a fair chance.
If you are looking for a fun palette cleanser inbetween heavier books, I'd recommend this. It's definitely still readable and I think many romance fans will find a gem in this book. It just wasn't for me and I found the errors to be distracting, but this definitely won't be the case for everyone.

Beautifully Broken by Cassandra Moll hit all the right spots for me! This was such a cozy, quick read that wrapped everything up nicely without leaving me hanging—which I absolutely love.
The banter between Jay and Claire was chef's kiss. Jay's a mechanic with a rough foster care background, and Claire's a teacher figuring out her life, and they just work so well together. I was curious how deep we'd dive into Jay's past, but I loved that the focus was more on healing and moving forward rather than getting stuck in the trauma.
It's hopeful without being heavy, the pacing kept me hooked, and that 1974 Ford Maverick bringing them together was pretty cute. Perfect feel-good romance if you're in the mood for something warm and satisfying!

This book is a must read. It has a small town feel with the 2 main characters coming together from very different walks in life. It flows effortlessly and draws you in from the start. The author did a wonderful job with character development, felt like I was getting to know them personally. I immediately got attached to MMC Jay. His story just tugged at my heart. As Jay and Claire’s story unfolded it had me laughing, crying at times and overall rooting for them. When I would have to put the book down I was eager to get back to it. This is just a wonderfully written, heartfelt, love conquers all, must read! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Where do I even start?
I picked up this book after following Cassandra Moll on IG. I didn’t read the summary, I only knew it was a debut in the romance category.
All I can say is wow! This book covers all the emotions! Happy, sad, angry at times, laugh out loud…you name it.
I was immediately invested in these characters and their story. I got to 88% finished and was still wanting more!
The character development was well done and the writing style made it a breeze to read. I am looking forward to more of Maple Grove!

Such a heart-warming and heart-felt book! Such a delight to read, a really cosy, enjoyable book.
Jay (MMC) was completely swoon-worthy and I pretty much fell in love with him straight away, but then Claire (FMC) is so likeable and warm. I felt like I knew them! All the characters in this book were so well written, even the side characters- so much so, I want to know more!

The yearning was also TOP NOTCH! Gotta love a man who yearns!

This is my first Cassandra Moll book and I cannot WAIT to read more of her work!

This is Cassandra Moll’s debut book which I got from a Stuff Your Kindle event. And as any reader and supporter of indie published books knows - they’re not all hits. This one is. Shes worthy of being picked up by a publisher.

The plot was fluid, all of the characters were fleshed out with true depth. The romance made sense and the spice got pretty steamy considering that it was closed door. I’m very glad that I got the second book in the series when I got the first.

Her other two books to my tbr. An author I’ll be watching and look forward to reading.

This book is one that you'll reach for on a yearly basis. It's one that you'll stay up risking a book hangover the next day, just to see it fully unfold. It has something for everyone. It'll make you laugh, cry, and wish you could jump into the story and be part of the characters' lives. So many times I found myself talking out loud in reaction to what was happening and I'm just so happy to have this book in my collection. The story is magic.

As a teacher who also writes, I was hooked on this story from the very beginning. It did feel like we got from the climax to the happily ever after a bit too quickly, but I’m rating this book based on what I expected from the cover. I got exactly what I hooed for, a quick, fun romance that touches on sensitive topics without being too heavy. There were a few lol moments in there and all the characters were likeable, including a well-rounded set of quirky side characters.

So... I read this in a day because I could not put it down! It was such a beautiful story about finding love while also learning to love yourself and follow your dreams! I love that there is a bit of spice but does not overshadow the plot! I would love to see this turned into a show or movie! I also need to find myself a Jay!
Safe to say it Broke me Beautifully!

Oh my GOD! This book was so adorable and the perfect book in between fantasy/dark books. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

PS: doing an immersive read with the audio and ebook was perfect! It’s a fabulous duet style audiobook that will give you all the feels. The narrator’s were perfect together and gave so much emotion in their performances. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
