At the dawn of time, two ancient adversaries battled for control of Earth. One man rose to stand at humanity's side. A soldier whose name we still remember today…

Cut down by an act of betrayal, Mikhail lingers between life and death while his fragile alliance crumbles against the onslaught of a Sata'anic invasion. Fearful the intrepid Angelic might lose hope and die, his young protégé concocts a plan to fool him into thinking his wife is at his side. Meanwhile, held captive by the Evil One, Ninsianna must choose between loyalty to her fallen husband and manipulating the Evil One's minions to turn against him.

As darkness tears the heavens asunder, a tiny Mesopotamian village finds itself the epicenter of an intergalactic war between good and evil. But all is not lost. An ancient goddess has recruited two 'Watchmen' to turn darkness back into the light; mortal creatures who do not realize they are pawns.

The saga of the greatest superhero to ever walk the Earth continues in Agents of Ki…

This book is *NOT* religious fiction!!!

"The characters are so well developed- flawed and emotionally relatable. The story line is complex but completely engrossing - I can't put the books down!" —reader review

"[A] new take on an old story of good vs evil..." —reader review

"This is not a religious novel it is a epic fantasy/sci-fi in the style of Starwars or Star trek. You will meet people and beings from all over the universe's and page back to the beginnings of humanity. I am happily looking forward to the next segment in this intelligent, and beautifully crafted series." —reader review

"A fantastic read. Could not put it down!" —reader review

Anna Erishkigal is an attorney who writes fantasy fiction as an alternative to cross-examining her children. She writes under a pen-name so her colleagues don't question whether her legal pleadings are fiction as well. Much of law, it turns out, -is- fantasy fiction. Lawyers just prefer to call it 'zealously representing your client.'

Seeing the dark underbelly of life makes for some interesting fictional characters. The kind you either want to incarcerate, or run home and write about. In fiction, you can fudge facts without worrying too much about the truth. In legal pleadings, if your client lies to you, you look stupid in front of the judge.

At least in fiction, if they become troublesome you can always kill them off.

Goodreads encourages authors to rate and review their own books and then plasters it at the top of the page so it's the first one people see. What can I say? Hi! I wrote this? I hope you like it? It feels Machiavellian to self-promote your own book, so instead why don't we put this space to better use by having YOU, the reader, drop questions into the Comments section below and then -I- will answer questions about things like inspirations, character development, or where I came up with some of the wild ideas I wrote into this series (within reason ... so long as you don't ask for spoilers).

Now doesn't that sound like a lot move fun than reading a long, boring self-promotional post by the author?

Be epic!

Well this book was just a lot of surprises, one after the other. The story is growing and it's really hard to put down!
I think this series has really won me over, and I love how the author makes us question whether we even like the main characters sometimes, because they are flawed and very much human (even though they're not quite human! lol).
It was a rollercoaster ride really, where I wasn't sure of anything up until the end, and I'm still not sure of a lot of things. Can't wait for the next one! :D
Oh, and I decidedly don't love Ninisianna anymore... She can still redeem herself in my eyes, but she's fallen a long way. Interesting :)

I absolutely love this series. I took a chance with the first book last year as a "freebie" and was pleasantly surprised. Now, on to this book. Anybody that loves epic Sci-Fi and Fantasy will enjoy this saga. It is full of both types of genres with lots of honor, courage, loyalty (disloyalty!), love and romance. It is a long story with several different plot and subplots going on, but the author does a good job of keeping it all cohesive and easy to follow. Personally, I love the mythology involved and the plausibility. (Plausibility after you suspend your disbelief, of course.) I can't wait for this series to continue and to see what happens next!

Excellent continuation to an already flawless series!

Finally, another saga in the life of Mikhail!
I cannot put into words the way these stories can touch you on such an emotional level.
They have to be experienced, not just read.
You will not be disappointed, except, while you sit expectantly waiting for the next one!

This is the 3rd book in this epic series and I really think it is the best so far. This one pulls the first two together and moves forward to really engage you in the story line. The second half of the book picks up speed and moves quickly as different factions in the book move towards each other. It gets harder and harder to put the book down as you delve into it, you want to know what will happen next!

I read this many months ago and to my shame forgot to post a rating/review. This third volume thickens the intrigue yet further and is probably the best book so far. The battle for the village was suitably melodramatic. And can I have a pet needleship?

Terrible read

This book is actually really a short synopsis of the plot of another story line in this series. It makes no sense, and is a waste of time to try.

Skip this series and author and go for a tried and true sci-fi author.

Once again, a captivating read. Just like life, when you think you've got it sussed, it laughs and and re-educates you. It's called growth and is essential in the battle against entropy.
These books not only allow you to escape into wonderful worlds and characters but shows how each of us can be good, bad, indifferent or any other of the infinite states of being.
Written with depth and feeling but most of all an enlightening experience.
A bit risky in places, but so is life.
Loved it.

Erishkigal doesn't let up on the excellence in this third volume of her epic long-form storytelling. Complex and extensive, her space opera universe exceeds the length and breadth of our own. Building yet higher and deeper on the previous two titles of the series, 'Agents of Ki' keeps a reader riveted with suspense and heart-pounding action. Challenging her characters with nearly insurmountable scenarios, she finds new and diverse ways of bringing them and her readers through to yet another intriguing scenario by its end. Addicting, exciting, and sometimes disturbing, but it exhibits five-star writing through and through.

Gita's always made me wonder about her role in Mikael's life and I am very happy to know its a significant one. It was very interesting picking up all the new details about his childhood, and left me wanted to push the two of them together so that they would know they were soul bonded. Of course that would not serve the story at this point of time when the agents of Ki must still perform their tasks.
However it would give me enormous satisfaction to see the last living full blooded Seraphim to actually know his mate is alive and he will not be alone again. The Lucifer and Jamin development was a total surprise and what a twist in the tale! I hope he lives long enough to help the Morning Star with whatever problems he will face as he lays a claim to earth.
The fight scenes were absolutely fantastic. And the progress out Chosen one is making on the star ship with the other "wives" is great. I do hope she picks Special Agent Eligor...It will make them both happy. Not to mention leave the way clear for Gita :) I really thought this was the last book in the series and it was very frustrating to not know what happens next! I shall be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
