What a great beginning.
This is the first book in this delightful series. I will be honest I read the second and fourth book before this one so if you have a senior moment like I had no fear in reading out of order. This is the oldest sister’s tale. Emily has been in love with Phillip since she was young girl. She vows to wait for Phillip until he returned from serving his country. Everything was great right up to when her parents said she must marry the man they choose for her. This set off a whole bunch of misadventures, hurt feelings, and serious drama. There is a great twist toward the end before a possible happy ending. This is a good book it is a quick read that is very well written, plus it was such a fun story to read. I loved and I recommend it! I did receive a free copy of this book from Beaches and Trails Publishing via Book Options and voluntarily chose to review it.

If you're looking for a clean, short novella with a happy ending then this is the book for you! This is the first installment of the Blackmore series, and it's off to a promising start. Emily had been in love with Philip since she was fourteen. But her parents had other plans for her. When Philip came back from the war, he finds Emily betrothed to another.
This is a lovely angsty romance that was a charming read with likable characters and I look forward to reading the next one.

Well written, fast paced reading. Curl up and enjoy. Full of love, romance, drama and a great storyline. Author has the start of a delicious series. Emily has been in love with Philip for many years but due to her parents, she is engaged to someone else. Philip comes back from war only to find out that she is to be married to another. This is not what they both want, just each other. They both get their happily ever after. Great start to this series. Would recommend to others.
I am an ARC and leave this unbiased, honest review.

This is book 1 in the Blackmore series. I have enjoyed the authors other series, and was looking forward to this one. It did not disappoint. Philip is off to war. Emily swore she would wait for him, however her parents coerce her into an engagement with another. So much angst, however they make it to a HEA. This was a short and sweet story, great to finish in one afternoon. The characters continue from previous stories but can easily be read as a stand-alone. The narration was well done. “Missing the Lady” The Blackmore Collection, book 1 by Daisy Landish
A Sweet Regency Audio novella
Yes, I enjoyed my time listening to this novella. The story had a twist I had never encountered before in a Regency romance, an encounter that I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing. I wonder if it will be new to you, too. Happy Reading ! !
Note: This review expresses my honest opinion.

Another fun, short listen in "The Lady" series. This is Emily and Phillip's story. They have been in love since age 14. He goes off to war. Her parents are anxious for their eldest daughter, Emily, to marry. She will not have any other suitors. They choose for her. What will happen when he returns?
The narration is very good and appropriate.

A clean story. A short novella, one of a series about the Blackmore family. This is Emily’s story, and refusal by both sets of parents for her to marry her long time sweetheart. Pleasant short story - ideal for filling a spare hour or so.

This is an awesome short sweet love story. This is also the first book in a series. Two young people fall in love but he goes off to war only to return and find her betrothed to another. They do eventually find their way back to each other. I can't wait to read the other books in the series!!!

This as a short, but sweet little novella. I loved that it was clean and the characters kept within the bounds set by the time that they lived in. The story flowed well as the difficulties were overcome and they had a happy ending!

Another great short story. It always blows my mind how women lived back in the early 1900's, getting married so young and at 20 scared of being an old maid. It's crazy. I love stories about strong women during that era. This was a very entertaining short story I think you will love. The audio version that I listened to was fantastic. It will make you laugh, cry and get angry all throughout the book. However, the narrator as great as she was had an accent and it took a minute to get used to, but she was really good and fun to listen to.
