After the sudden death of his wife, Cartier Richardson, a wealthy and powerful businessman becomes infatuated with Serenity Clayborn. Serenity is a master of disguise, her beauty and charm serving as her most potent weapons. With calculated precision, she begins to weave her web, ensnaring Cartier in a tantalizing dance of seduction and desire. Slowly but surely insinuating herself into his life, exploiting his weaknesses and playing upon his insatiable lust.

To the world, Cartier is the epitome of success, a self-made man at the helm of a thriving empire. But his life is a gilded facade, a carefully constructed mirage concealing his darkest secrets. Behind closed doors, he is a master manipulator, capable of unspeakable acts to satisfy his insatiable appetite for power and wealth.

When an intricate plan is hatched to bring Cartier to his knees, will his empire crumble around him, stripping away his fortune and finally expose the dark underbelly of power and greed that has nearly consumed them all. Or will he once again escape unscathed before it all comes crashing down. In this sordid tale of lust, vengeance and betrayal, nothing is what it seems. It was all by design because of a mastermind.

I enjoyed listening to this fast pace story, but knew something wasn’t up with the death of Capri’s wife!
