I was taught from birth that the fae were monsters.
Cruel, deceitful, wielders of ancient magic that could twist reality and bend nature to their will. Their dark wings once flew over our lands like storm clouds, raining destruction on our homes, leaving nothing but death in their wake. It was said that they took pleasure in our suffering—that they thrived on it.
We were told to fear them. To hate them.
And so I did. For many years, I believed the stories. I believed that the fae were the enemy, that they were responsible for everything we’d lost. The war between our worlds had carved a jagged line between us, one soaked in blood and vengeance. My father, the king, made sure I never forgot what they’d taken from us. From him. My brother’s death was a wound that never healed, and the kingdom I grew up in was little more than a fortress bracing for the next battle, the next tragedy.
But stories have a way of twisting the truth.
I didn’t realize that until the night I met him.
He wasn’t what I expected. The fae prince. They said the fae were heartless, that they felt nothing but hunger for power. But when I looked into his eyes, I didn’t see the monster I’d been warned about.
I saw something deeper. Something I didn’t understand at the time.

WHAT THE HECK!! This was such a good, short, fantasy read!! It kept me intrigued through the whole book! I loved the mysterious intensity between Elara and Kaelon! But that ending shook my socks off!! I was not expecting all of that AT ALL!! Where is the next book, because I need it ASAP!! I need to know what happens next! Omg for a debut book, this was amazing!! 10/10 recommend! Fantasies are usually so long and this one was short and sweet!! Give Me More!!
