I love Max! I enjoyed the plot, but I thought the story dragged; it was WAY too wordy and overloaded with unnecessary details. There wasn't enough angst to keep me as invested but ultimately, what kept me flipping the pages was Max. From the very beginning, I knew he was the one I would be rooting for. I highly enjoyed reading all the juicy parts in the love-triangle between Max, Cassidy, and Philip. And I especially loved the twist in regards to who Zoe's (Cassidy' daughter) biological father was. .

Ok at first the price of his book has me skeptical. I,have never read a book by this author so I was a little apprehensive.
Imagine my surprised when I read the first line of the book. I was hook line and center. "A large hand, calloused from years of playing football and basketball, glided underneath the hem of the flimsy, baby-doll nightie she wore and worked its way to her breasts. “Wake up, beautiful. It’s baby making time.” This authors writing is superb. Her pen game is one that was so refreshing and engaging. Her story flowed fluidly and there was never a dull moment reading this book. Her detailed and descriptive storytelling kept me o the edge yet cognizance. Cassidy portrayal was real. I felt her emotions from the minute she found out about her husband infidelity. That's a hard blow to any ones esteem. She constantly second herself she felt that she wasn't good enough for her husband phillip because he was very insatiable. That type of relationship can be toxic and depressing. While Cassidy and phillip decide to have a vacation and try to,rekindle their relationship along with their friend Max and his girlfriend Amber. This, vacation was suppose to be the "breaking point" however it turned out being the breaking up point as phillip was caught again in an questionably act with nine other with Max girlfriend Amber. Now this is what happen when you finally reach your breaking point. At this stage Cassidy was distraught and Max was there to help pick,up,her broken pieces .Cassidy instincts we not even aware of until they are ignited. What should of been an one night stand turn out to be so much more. They both started developing feelings that went beyond. Phillip Cassidy husband was adamant that they stay together and he did everything he could to.make her stay with him. He was a cleverly a-hole... Eventually his scheming was just to much and Cassidy gave in but at what cost??? Will she forego a relationship with a sweet guy like Max??? This author ms Wynn you have proven that your worked presents itself. The price is no longer a factor for me' your writing is deep. The way you told the story of what if?? So surreal. I found myself rooting for Max and Cassidy I wanted for them to have that happy ever after. I was in my emotions i had to put down the book couple times to collect my bearings..... Would I recommend this book yes definetly the price may deter you but the storyline was so good I was like 'price please' it is worth it and so much more!! Am on book high and it's all because of this box set... Kudos miss Wynn....
Worth every penny. The writing was excellent (the editors were lacking), story telling flowed well, bringing the characters to life. A heavy, intriguing and emotional love story that will capture and "break" your heart. Loved it!! #ToniBraxton #UnBreakMyHeart
Loved both books! Zeno Wynn did justice to these two books. Phillip was selfish, everything was about him and his needs. Cassidy realized too late that he’d never change and she was along for the ride. That is, after going shopping to get some things and to help Max pick out a wedding ring for Amber, to walk in the house and find Amber and Phillip in a compromising position, that was it for them. Not to provide anymore spoilers, Broken is about two broken people, promises were made but not kept, Phillip died, Cassidy almost died and Max had a family dynamic, his mother, that felt she knew what was best. Needless to say, Max and Cassidy were no longer shattered or broken but determined live their lives on their own terms and to H - LL with everyone else.
4 stars because I feel that this book was incomplete for me as Max hadn’t used condoms during their time together and the reader wasn’t provided insight as to was Cassidy pregnant again. These books definitely need better proof reading performed.
I’m having one of those moments where I wish I hadn’t read a book just to have the pleasure of reading it for the first time all over again. Cassidy, Phillip and Max each were just so relatable, and their struggles throughout the series were overflowing with truth and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I’m happy to say that I’ve found a new author to love and if this book is anything to go by, then I have much to look forward to in Zena’s other titles.
Sigh. What a saga! Cassidy and Max are just so likable. Ms. Wynn conveyed such realistic characters, such intimate dialogue, such sensual scenes. The first book was so well written that I couldn’t imagine another full novel. But, book two was so well done, for those who enjoy second chance romance and secret baby unveilings—this is epic!
That was a solid good series. Thr whole situation felt at first very Maury Povich, and I so don't luke triangles, but the characters, especially Cassidy, grew on me. Max was a good romabtic lead. And Zoe was just the best. The writing was good, and the plot believable. I didn't expect the cliffhanger at the 1st book, but I enjoyed thr 2nd one and am glad the story wasn't rushed.
I love this author.. This book was soo good. I like the fact how they over came the odds for back together and my favorite how she told his family off at the end.. Well done.. Need more
