Francesca Lombardi’s ascent from glamorous Rockette in the late 1950s to star of the Broadway stage seemed like a given; nothing could stand in her way. But something did—something broke her spirit and she gave up dancing and left New York for good, swearing that she’d never set foot on a stage again...
Fast forward a few years and Francesca has been refashioned as Frankie, gorgeous wife to one of NASA’s newest astronauts, Ed Maxwell. Frankie’s new group of friends loves her for her acerbic wit and sharp outlook on life, and her close friendship with Jo Booker is keeping both women afloat as they find their way in Stardust Beach.
But something in Frankie’s past is haunting her—and haunting her otherwise happy marriage to Ed. After three years, their house is still empty of the sounds of laughter and little feet, and Frankie can’t bring herself to let her guard down enough to share her pain with anyone…not even her husband.
Can Frankie find a way to heal her own broken heart so that her marriage to Ed doesn’t burn out too soon? Will the new women in her life help her find her way back to the stage again—back to dancing like her life depends on it? Because it kind of does…if Frankie ever wants to be herself again, she needs to finally let go—and let people in.
The women of Stardust Beach are strong and resilient, and they all want the same happiness, friendship, and love. As they support their husbands and raise their families in the shadow of Cape Kennedy, they share their love of sisterhood, they support one another through thick and thin, and they honor each other’s unique stories and personalities.
The Stardust Beach series will be eight books long and will have intertwining stories and characters, both sad and hopeful moments, beautiful friendships, romance, and plenty of laughter.
The series launches in August of 2024, and all books will be available in both digital and paperback formats.

I loved this second book In the series. The characters are all developing and I feel like they are becoming my friends. Can’t wait to see the next installment, Thankyou Stephanie for another great series!
LOVED it!!! This setting is really grabbing my attention. The time period is intriguing. I never knew I’d love reading about the 60s like this. Im definitely not a space fan and fortunately, these books are more about the goings on in the NASA employees’ private lives as well as the women who support them. Not cheeky, not trashy. Intelligently written and wonderful imagery.
Book 2 is primarily Frankie’s story. She was once a Rockette, but she’s lost her love for dancing and has serious trust issues with her astronaut husband. Will she be able to find true happiness with the help of her friend Jo and her parents? Stephanie has captured the 1960’s brilliantly, and the characters are intriguing. You don’t want to miss this one!
This is such a great series. I like how they are doing a deep dive into each of the characters so that we feel as if we really know them. I especially like the way the female characters are evolving from chapter to chapter. The author paints such a vivid picture of the era that we feel as if we are there in person. Since that was my era too I know that the depictions from foods to cars to clothing are spot on. I think that this series would make a perfect TV series. My new favorite author!
A light women’s fiction/historical romance that was easy to read. If you enjoy stories of reinvention, friendship, healing, and quiet resilience, it’s a solid pick. Taylor’s no-nonsense style allowed me to jump right in. Excited to read book three and learn more about this group of friends as they walk through life as women, mothers, friends, wives and what that looked like during the race-for-space era of Florida.
3/5 stars - I thought I’d like this one more because I liked Frankie so much in book 1 but this one didn’t really grab me until the last little bit. Has some dark past moments but the way Frankie decides to tell her story is beautiful. I also didn’t love that Ed was painted as Mr Perfect here when he seemed kind of sleazy in book 1.
After reading book one it was wonderful to read the two which gives the full background on Frankie. The relationship between her and her husband is a true love story. The friendships between the women or friendships we all belong for.
The glimpses of Frankie from book 1 made me sooooo excited for her book...and it did not disappoint. She is dynamic and interesting and captivates you. This was an easy story to get lost in.
