Can the werewolf Professor resist his gorgeous research assistant?
When history Professor, Max Hunt arrives in Motham City to work on his new book, he finds out that his research assistant Charlie, is not the guy he expected… but a girl... a deliciously attractive human who keeps tempting his inner wolf to behave in quite a beastly fashion.
And what’s worse, his low life werewolf cousins want him to join in the Winter Solstice Rut. Something the high-brow professor would never consider—If it weren’t for gorgeous Charlie Sullivan and her delectable scent.
As for Charlie, she’s had a major crush on Max since she attended one of his lectures as a student. Being Max’s research assistant, working with him to uncover Motham City’s fascinating past is a dream come true.
But it’s not long before Max and Charlie uncover some scandalous secrets from their own pasts. And suddenly their overpowering attraction to one another starts to make perfect sense...
Book 7 of Motham City Monsters is a high heat, fated mates, cozy monster romance with all the feels. It can be read as a standalone and is intended for mature audiences.
Lilith Stone spent her childhood checking for monsters under the bed. Now she writes sweet and steamy romances for grown-ups who’d prefer a monster in their bed than under it. She suffers from an over-active imagination which means she’s constantly anxious unless making up stories in her head. She wrote and illustrated her first gothic novel at age 12 and hasn’t really stopped since. English by birth, she now lives in Australia and keeps out of the sea where there are too many real life monsters.
Thank you to the author and publisher for this ARC. I enjoy Lilith Stone’s book so much. They are easy, sweet, spicy, feel good stories. This one was no different, Max and Charlie have an instant connection and Max tries so hard to fight it. Charlie really helps Max discover who he is and learn to accept it. This story was the perfect werewolf love story. If you haven’t read about knitting this was another perfect introduction into that world. I will always recommend Lilith Sones books for easy sweet monster romance.

This was a cute and amusing read. Mainly due to Max and his utter shock, horror and disdain for his shifter heritage. It was in the blurb and the author did a good job of conveying her character's feelings on the matter. Admittedly, he didn't have full knowledge of things, so his thinking was skewed toward the negative a bit. Even so, he just really had me chuckling at times.
I liked Charlie. A lot. Just a pleasant, down chick that had it together. Even-keeled, smart, accomplished, competent, good sense of ironic humor, and knew how to treat folks. She also had a lot this in common with Max, so they ended up making a really good match.
So nothing over-the-top in plot/theme here. Charlie was locked and set about getting her man! While Max's takedown was more comical in that it felt like it was all happening, seemingly, against his will.
In the end, they arrived at the same place and it was lovely to see.

Charlie takes on a job as a research assistant for a werewolf professor/author, but sparks fly unexpectedly (fated mates) that threaten to derail their work.
Overall, the world-building was very clumsy and boring. Charlie and Max often have mundane conversations about historical events for the sake of educating the reader, and I couldn’t be less interested.
Stone’s sex scenes though are inspired and worth 4.5 stars on their own. The library scene in particular had me fanning myself—creative and interesting. I’d read more of her work just for that.
The chokehold this series has over me! The Wolf Professor is definitely one of my faves. I loveddd these characters and the low stakes plot was perfect.
I received a free copy of this book from the author as an ARC.
This is my first book by Lilith Stone, but probably not my last. I really enjoyed this book. Yes, of course there was spice, but there was also good plot and character growth!
I really enjoyed seeing a strong FMC that could hold her own and push the MMC to get his shit together so to speak. I also really enjoyed the variety of monsters and creatures in the world cohabiting throughout Motham and Tween.
This was a cute yet spicy read. Idk a few things just gave me the ick. I liked the characters enough it just seemed like overkill how "progressive" the characters were and how the each of their parents were vilified for different, yet similar reasons. I finished it but I'm not like "OMG YOU HAVE TO READ THIS" it scratched my spooky season shifter romance itch but that's about it.
Always enjoy this author and knew this would an enjoyable read. This is book 7 of 7 in the Motham City Monsters. This book features Charlie, who just happens to have a serious crush on Max, a Professor, that she once enjoyed attending one of his lectures. Max is currently working on a book and Charlie becomes his assistant. As with the previous books, there is more going on around them and issue to resolve.
The Wolf Professor is book 7 in the Motham City Monsters series by Lilith Stone, a paranormal romance series set in a world where monsters have been segregated from humans for many years, but that has been gradually changing.
Charlie has taken a job as assistant to Max, a historian and author. Charlie has had a crush on him since he was a guest lecturer in the class she was taking, so she is excited to be working for him. Max is a werewolf, in denial of his inner wolf, and trying to come to terms with his heritage.
Motham City Monsters is such fun, easy series to read and enjoy. I think with every review of this series I have mentioned that I love the world building the author has done. She has set up a fairly complex history for multiple monster cultures, and their relationships between each other, and the humans of their world, but without getting detailed enough to make the story boring.
I loved the match between grouchy Max, and happy, upbeat Charlie, they seemed the perfect match for each other. Max really seemed to need someone to bring him out of his shell, who could help him get a new perspective on his family history, and Charlie seemed to fit that role perfectly.
A warning for people who need it, there is a short scene where Charlie is attacked by a group of youths, but Max makes a timely rescue, and she is not seriously harmed….although the result could have been much worse with the situation she was in.
For the most part though, this was a relatively light hearted, steamy romance, with Max reconnecting with his family roots, and getting a new perspective on the history of his race. I will be going on the hunt for the book I missed, and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Charlie has a new job. Her boss is a respected professor, author and a wolf. Her mother isn't happy but it's a chance she can't pass up. Max is looking forward to his stay in Motham and is just waiting on his new assistant so he can start his research. He hopes that the young man will be the human touch that he needs for his new book. But Charlie isn't the man he thought he would be but a beautiful little female. And she pushes all of his wolf buttons. He. Is. Not. His. Ancestors. He will control the wild urges she brings out in him. Charlie can't deny the crush that she's had on him is growing more and more. She has to keep a lid on it because this is the chance of a lifetime. But he does make her knees weak and her body reacts to him whenever he's around. She has him experiencing things he's never felt before. Jealousy, possessiveness plus other traits that he thought he was above feeling. His mother left the pack when he was a kid and he never looked back. That "Macho Alpha BS" was old news. But can you really deny your very DNA? Secrets of the past and feelings of the present come to the forefront and he realizes that sometimes you just have to let the Beast loose! I really liked this one and it makes me want to play catch-up and read the ones before!

The Wolf Professor book seven in the series of Motham City Monsters is another sweet and spicy good story and makes me so happy to have discovered this authors books.
Charlotte “Charlie” Sullivan is just about to start her new one month job with Professor Max Hunt as his research assistant.
Max thought he’d hired a male until opening the door to Charlie who definitely wasn’t!
Charlie’s crush on the Professor began after attending one of his lectures and now working for him is a dream come true. Max finds his wild side immediately taking notice of his new assistant which is going to make keeping things professional a little dicey, because she smells sooooo GOOD!
Loved this newest story which was filled with good writing, humor, steam, romance, family, friendships, wonderful storytelling, and a little drama woven into a delightful Paranormal Romance.

Who's afraid of the big bad…. well maybe not so bad, but shy and introverted Wolf? Not Charlie that’s for sure.
Max is a buttoned up, prim, and proper professor, who lives apart from pack, he’s a lone wolf and likes it that way. Charlie is vivacious, wild, fun, has with a wicked sense of humor and is about to throw a certain professor into a tailspin.
Max and Charlie were just so adorable trying to navigate and in Max’s part deny the intense connection they feel for one another. There is no super big, *gasp* there’s a villain afoot moment in the book, it’s more of a journey of the two learning about their true self and their past amongst untruths they were lead to believe. A cute and quick read and another great addition to the Motham City Monsters series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Gotta love a wolf shifter who wears glasses and writes books :D
This is the third book I've read in Lilith Stone's Motham City and I just love the world she's created. It's full of vibrant characters with all sorts of teeth, tails, wings and fur. If you have a fetish you're bound to find it in one of the seven books in this series!
Reluctant Alpha's are a favourite of mine and Maximillian fits the bill to a tee. He's 100% in denial. That is until his cute curly-haired research assistant, Charlie shows him there's more to living then books.
Favourite line: "Because without experiencing the edge, how do you ever live fully?"
Recommended for fans of monster romance with a contemporary kick.

This is a steamy shifter romance. It is the seventh in the series but stands alone and could be read in any order. It has brief mentions of Christmas as the time period but is not really a holiday romance
The FMC Charlie is a sassy ray of sunshine human, and the MMC Max is a sexy werewolf professor and author. Their interactions are dynamic from the start, and I enjoyed the mutual pinning.
The story revolves around research for a historical book and the added backstory and history of Motham was interesting and incorporated well into the story.
This one isn’t as fluffy as others in the series as it deals with more serious themes like prejudice, and parental difficulties. Check trigger warning if you have sensitives.
Spice 4.5/5 Plot 4.5/5 Writing 4.5/5 My enjoyment 4.5/5
The Wolf Professor by Lilith Stone delivers a captivating mix of monster romance and intellectual charm. Charlotte “Charlie” Sullivan, a history-loving recent grad, lands her dream job assisting the enigmatic Professor Max Hunt, a wolf shifter with a magnetic presence. Charlie’s secret admiration for Max soon evolves into a sizzling connection that challenges both their boundaries. Max grapples with his suppressed alpha instincts, shaped by his upbringing, while Charlie’s passion and understanding ignite his true nature. This book offers heartfelt chemistry, introspective growth, and a swoon-worthy monster-human love story that fans of the genre will truly enjoy.
Gleeful Goblin Review: The banter between these two delightful nerds really tickled me. The way this story is written there are shades of almost regency style interactions/speech that are in stark contrast to the...rather saucy bits. There's immediate sparks for both Max and Charlie and though it's certainly not professor/student style out of bounds forbidden fruit, the professor/research assistant dynamic combined with the werewolf instinct to hunt, chase, and eventually catch his prey is delicious. Super fun read and a great addition to Motham. 5/5 Stars

Why would a man be there??? (I’m convinced this author is actually a man.)
I wanted a fun werewolf book but this was just Motham city history and objectification. With a hint of seemingly insta-love?? Or maybe insta-lust? The author tries to make up for it by later saying the fmc is smart and funny or something but we didn’t see that in the book. We’ve just been seeing him avoid her because of his attraction.
This is the second book I’ve read by this author and in the first one there was weird dialogue surrounding the fmc’s body and that happened again in this book? Her breast just comes out at one point while her dress strap fell off her shoulder?
Smooth, steady pace with some suspense/angst, intense and steamy paranormal romance. I love this, it made me laugh out laugh and smile. Very interesting and heartfelt characters with very interesting jobs and lives. Love both characters, they are well-matched. Their instant connection opens the doors for unexpected happiness and discovery. I haven't had the pleasure of reading any of the others in this series, yet, but this one is a winner!! Charlie has taken a job as assistant to Max, a historian and author. Charlie has had a crush on him since he was a guest lecturer in the class she was taking, so she is excited to be working for him. Max is a werewolf, in denial of his inner wolf, and trying to come to terms with his heritage. It doesn’t take long for their connection to grow to something bigger and more rewarding. I love the Motham City Monsters series and the engaging characters that Lilith Stone creates. I can’t wait for the next book in this delightful series.
i was very excited to read this book- a professor & his research assistant?? over history?? swooning!! i loved their personalities in the first 50% and then once max found out all this stuff & sent charlie away, she came back post one week and he was just calling her babe like no convo just fucking immediately after he said they couldn’t be together?? i wish that scene had been longer, the talking part (which you will never hear me say) i liked that he became more wolf like that academic prude charlie was a ray and i love her
I had a little bit of trouble connecting with Max at first—introverted, shy MMCs usually aren’t my favorite. BUT it honestly felt like such a refreshing change of pace. And let me tell you, WOW. That was everything I could’ve asked for in a wolf shifter romance—just chef’s kiss! 🐺✨
And Charlie?? I adored her. The way she connected with her dad melted my heart—it added so much warmth to the story.
Overall, a mix of sweet + sexy moments that totally worked for me!
Part of what I love about this series is the history of monsters and Motham City that is the part of every book. This book doubles down on that by giving us two history obsessed leads falling in love while researching not only the history of Motham, but also the MMCs family history. This book is a wonderful cozy mix of discovery, healing and spice.
And I'm still waiting eagerly for my one way ticket to Motham City!
I loved this book! Amazing world building! The book hits on some deep topics but it allows the characters to grow into really strong individuals. You immediately fall in love with both Charlie and Max, rooting for them from the very start! Its a mix of insta heat and slow burn and my god I loved every second of it! I am very much looking forward to reading more from Lilith!!
I received an advanced readers copy of My Wolf Professor. All opinions are my own.
I love the Motham City series! The Wolf Professor was one of the tamer books of the series, I think. It heats up at the very end, and I did miss the heat throughout the book. I really loved the journey that Max had to take on this book, to come to terms with his wolf and history. I didn’t feel like Charlie was given much depth, though. I still enjoyed it, though it wasn’t my favorite of the series.

-Lone wolf shifter/human -Professor/Assistant -Fated mates
This was a light, sweet and spicy self-discovery werewolf romance. Max is a history professor who's out of touch with his inner wolf, and Charlie is his new human assistant who brings every instinct to the surface.
It's a fun and easy read with likable and distinctive characters.

I really love this series. Each one I've read has been a sexy fun ride, in a book that doesn't take itself too seriously. I particularly liked this story of a wolf having to 'find himself' to accept love, too. Excellent book, easy read, highly recommend.

I’m never disappointed in a Motham City book. They’re each so cozy and charming and unique, and they make me so happy!
This one in particular had a lot of lore about the werewolves in Motham, and I really enjoyed learning more about them. Max had a lot of grappling to do with his identity, and I loved seeing him accept who he is.
Max and Charlie are such a cute couple. Max tried so hard to fight it, but he could only resist for so long! I loved how strong Charlie was with knowing how she felt and supporting Max with his journey. She’s a steady and calming presence.
