Debut, say what? Absolutely no way that this was a debut!!
Literally read this in a single sitting. I honestly could not put it down. At no point in time did I know where we were going, let alone where we were headed. Cliffhangers are the bane of my existence, and I was thrilled by this one, but seriously, shay how you gonna edge an entire audience like that?
Incredible plot, amazing characters, banter, attitude, and SPICE!! This book is in your face, will have you on your knees, breathing heavy and begging for more, literally!!

Dark Mafia Romance always hits the spot! I really enjoyed the fire and spirit Andi (fmc) brings to the book. Mason (mmc) falls first - honestly one of the best tropes and he brings a friend 😉 to make it more of a why choose situation. It was a quick fast burning book that kept me intruiged! Really good spice to plot ratio! A twisty cliffhanger ending!! Can’t wait for book two!

This book had me questioning, and wondering what’s going to happen next. I love the way the FMC is portrayed. She’s a strong, no nonsense kind of woman. And she has men falling at her feet.
In such a short amount of time, I have fallen in love with these characters.
Andi is an independent woman fighting for her life. Mason is a man infatuated with the woman of his dreams. With their security personnel, can they live happily ever after?
This book is a short read, that will make you want more from the story. Luckily, there is a second book being written. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book and see where these characters go!

Twisted Rivals far exceeded my expectations. The thrill of this book comes with the twists and turns that Shay teases us with. You will fall in love with these characters far faster than you could've imagined.
No spoilers, but this book is intended to be a duet and I am anxiously awaiting book 2. The book itself is well written, fast paced, and full of passion.
Our "spitfire" heroine, Andi, is the perfect match to go up against her billionaire male rival, Mason. The witty banter and trauma these two characters dive into will have you giggling and sitting on edge the entire book. Mafia reads are always a favorite of mine and I love the tropes this book has because its unlike any other mafia romance I've ever read before.
Mason is downright obsessed over Andi and has been waiting years to find her again. He's been numb to the world and everyone around it until he sees her again. Andi has her own agenda and plans on closing her unfinished business and messy past by any means necessary.
Can these two manage to fix all their problems and have a happy ever after? Guess you'll just have to see for yourself.

Well hello! This little debut shook me. So many twists and turns. Fast paced, but a great set up for the series. So much action, spicy times and that jaw dropping cliffy. My oh my!

When she decides to escape, Andi sets out to reinvent herself. She never dreamed a chance encounter with a stranger would alter her path so much.
Mason is the king. Everyone bows down to him or else... He has been obsessed with a mysterious beauty for years but she disappeared without a trace. When she stumbles into his club, Mason has to have her. Finally fates are aligning.

my oh my. exploring dark romance books has my heart but dark mafia romance exceeded my expectations very well. this book was very addictive to read and enjoy. the spicy scenes were soooo fuckin good to enjoy. this took me a bit to read due to my trip but holy fuck i don't regret it one bit. the twist and turns of this book kept me wanting more. the plot twist has my dropped but i can't wait for the sequel to see what happens.

It started out heavy on the abuse, went to mild spice, back to abuse, then severe spice for 1 chapter, and then it just ends. Twisted Rivals is a force to be reckoned with, it should have been longer. I fell in love with it from beginning to end. It was beautifully written and I couldn't get enough of it. I thought I knew who Mason was until Shay made me question if I really knew him at all. When it comes to fight or flight mode, Andi definitely fought to the bitter end. No matter how devious that husband of hers is. Thank you for writing this Shay, I can't wait for the next one.

Finished in one sitting and I can honestly say I loved this book. It was short but I was here for every single second of it. I loved the mafia aspect, the trauma past and current, the betrayals, the devotion. Everything was what I hoped for and the cliffhanger really got me and I can’t wait for book 2

This may have been a short read but chile! When I tell you it gets the job done! 🙃🙃🙃. Ms. Shay 🗣️ ma’am! You did AMAZING for a debut novel. This had me guessing what’s next and rereading them scenes cause I just had to make sure I read it right 🤣🤣. I am now questioning myself a little after one particular scene 🤭🤭🥵
I really give it 4.5 stars. Only because the flash backs and time jumps seemed a bit random and confusing at first. Other than that I truly enjoyed this read. Andi & Mason give me total switch vibes and just enough Andi has that diva-dom energy that I for one, can relate to.
Now the ending; yeah about that… my exact message to Shay was “OMFG SHAY, wtfffffff…”.

This book is a very quick burn. Although it flip flops many topics quickly, at was such an easy and spicy read! She really hit the mark with the spice! I can not wait until the second book!

This dark mafia romance was so good! There are so many twists and turns and secrets that everyone is hiding. I could not put this down. I had to keep reading. I had to finish it. And now I HAVE to know what happens after that cliffhanger!

For this book, we are getting a book 2 and that cliffhanger destroyed my soul. Andi went through hell with her Husband so much so she tried to run from him. Imagine getting work done to hide your physical appearance so he wouldn’t find you.. Well you guessed it he found her, but there’s someone else that is also in Andi’s life that she just met. Andi is a boss bitch, she runs a sort of mafia if you will and has loyal workers. Watch as Andis story unfolds and then you get to meet Mason. This book was great and I need book two now lol 😂

Oh holy plot twists !! When I say I devoured this book - I ate it and left no crumbs. Twisted Rivals is a quick and spicy dark romance that hits all the yummy tropes. Wow. Dark spicy Mafia romance at its finest. I couldn’t put this book down. The ending left us with a cliff hanger and now I’m gonna have to anxiously wait for the next book. This is gonna make for a hot series. This has edge, spice, a strong FMC and all the fast paced action. I cannot wait to see where this story goes.

The spice was spicy, Andi has so much fire and Mason 🤤 yummy. I kind of wish there was a little more background for Romero and Andi but honestly I cannot complain. This was so good and the ending….? Wow! This was one wild and crazy ride. I may have whiplash. Beware the triggers and also it ends in a cliffhanger.
I loved it! Mason and Andi are an iinteresting dynamic. But man they are SPICY! Don't mess with Mason ever. I've learned that in this book. And is still a bit of a mystery...I think there's more to come from her. Her story though is fascinating.

This was a nice short mafia romance book. There was an unexpected twist that I didn’t see coming. I feel like the bad guys are the ones we least expect to be. Both FMC and MMC are brave, powerful, cruel and strong. Mason the MMC is very caring and attentive of Andi. Andi is a badass FMC whose been through a lot but came out stronger.
Andi the FMC is strong, independent, smart, witty, outspoken, powerful and cruel.
Mason is powerfully, intelligent, caring, thoughtful and knows everything about Andi. He is willingly to do anything to fulfill Andi’s demands and make her happy.

This was definitely a genre that I don’t normally read but I actually really enjoyed it. This short dark and spicy read grabbed my attention from the first page. It was a super quick easy read that ended on a cliff hanger leaving me wanting to read what happens next with Andi, Mason and Lero.

This short read ARC grabbed my attention from the onset. It was an enjoyable quick easy read that ended on a cliffhanger, leaving me wanting to read what happens next with Andi, Mason and Lero.
For a short read there was a lot going on but at the same time it didn't feel rushed with spice added in 🔥
I really enjoyed the drama and relationships throughout the book.

Twisted Rivals by Shay Jinx is a darker take on the romance genre, with elements of violence, trauma, and even death woven into the plot. It’s definitely not a light read, but if you’re into emotionally intense stories with high stakes, this one delivers.
I really liked the main character, Andi—she goes through a lot, but her resilience and spark really stood out. I also enjoyed how she interacted with both her friends and her lovers. Her dynamics felt raw and real, adding to the emotional pull of the story.
The dual POV added an extra layer of depth, giving insight into both sides of the relationship. However, it also made the timeline feel a bit confusing at times—especially when we saw the same scenes from both perspectives. In a shorter book, that repetition can slow things down a bit.
There are a few spicy moments, but the heart of this book is definitely the plot and the characters' emotional journeys. If you're in the mood for something gritty and character-driven, with a touch of heat and plenty of twists, this one's worth picking up.

I love a solid FMC and Andi didn’t disappoint. I could have easily of read this in one sitting if I didn’t have to do life. This book has strong character building and pulls you in with every scene. The ending blew me away & had me begging for more. Strong spice scenes in & out.

Wow this was a wild ride! This the first book in A Mafia’s Seduction series🖤This book was amazing; I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. It’s such a quick and easy read! Andi, omg this woman is strong, powerful, smart and full of fire. She’s not afraid to let people know exactly what she wants/needs. She’s also got an attitude which I love because girl same. But her attitude is something Mason likes too, when her mouth gets her into trouble, he loves to help get rid of her attitude 👀 Mason is OBSESSED with Andi and has been since the first time he saw her. He is sooo protective of her, I LOVE IT!!! This man is also so thoughtful. The things he does for her and gets her 🥹 Now that cliffhanger!!?? I gasped so loud; I need book 2 asap!!

Twisted Rivals is an intense, dark, and steamy prequel that grabbed my attention right from the start. Andi is a woman who escapes an abusive marriage and becomes a force to be reckoned with. As she navigates a dangerous world, her journey from appaernt victim to powerful mafiosa is incredible. She develops a relationhip with Mason and eventually Romero which is absolute fire and makes every scene full of tension and heat.
The plot is full of unexpected twists, and the cliffhanger at the end is brutal. I’m really glad I can jump straight into the second book to get some answers because the ending definitely left me craving more.
This mafia romance novella had intense suspense, betrayal, and steamy chemistry. It sets up the rest of the A Mafia Seduction series perfectly and it will definitely leave you hooked!

Shay tried to warn us…she really did. In one of her instagram posts she said “Twisted Rivals will drive you crazy with the plot holes, unseen scenes and many other things that Book 2 will bring to light” and she delivered on it. I want to scream at the way that book ended. My mind is reeling! Shay, how could you do this to us in your debut novel? Honestly, this book did not read as a debut at all! It was really well written and I didn’t even notice the intentional plot holes that Shay had woven into the story until the ending; however, now that I am thinking back, I don’t know how I missed them. Then, I read the blurb for the next book hoping that it would ease some of my frustration or provide some clarification, but I was wrong. IT MADE IT WORSE! I can only hope that book 2 is moved up like book 1 was because I need answers ASAP. Readers beware, Twisted Rivals will burrow itself into your mind and leave you high, dry and wanting more. This book is the reader’s equivalent of eating Pringles - impossible to put down after only one. The chemistry between the FMC and MMC will bring you to your knees!🥵
