Si te gustan las historias tórridas en las que los héroes protectores se enamoran de la mujer a la que están destinados a conquistar, este corto independiente es exactamente lo que necesitas.
Dnfing at 34% I’m sorry you knew this woman for a year!!!! And didn’t do nothing.. it said he’s a party guy at his age??? So did she have to see his dates?? And only made a move because some dude was flirting with her and then fat shammed her??
Age-gap, workplace short. story with boss Jameson and office manager Amelia. Both have feelings for each other but Amelia has doubts because of her size and constant criticism by her mother. Jameson doesn't think Amelia could be interested in someone his age. Really liked what Jameson said to Amelia and his determination to have her see herself differently.

usually i would overlook tiny grammatical errors but this was just too huge to overlook, and the writing is just terrible. literally the same paragraph copied and pasted within a 2-paragraph distance.
Exhibit A: "hey sweetheart," i greet her warmly as i walk through the door, letting the familiar scent of oil and metal wrap around me like a comforting embrace. "i just want to apologize for what happened before. that shoyld never have happened." i can feel the weight of my words hanging in the air between us, a fragile bridge to cross after the tension of the moment we shared. i hope she understands that my intentions were never meant to blur the lines of our professional relationship.
Amelia jumps at my sudden entrance.
- why is she startled only in the next paragraph instead of after his first words? - also, the weight of the words were hanging between them - was this a delayed reaction??
there's no chemistry between these characters and it's so fast paced. the mmc seems romantically indifferent towards the fmc from her pov in the first two chapters and then because someone complimented her, his feelings were ignited and he had the emotional intelligence of a boy who just reached puberty. surely for a 40-something year old man, you'd be able to control your emotions in a professional manner in the workplace. she didn't even get a chance to speak up for herself with all that he had to say. also, i personally wouldn't want my boss to provide reassurance about my appearance, talk about blurring the lines of a professional relationship and in the same breath profess his love for me. cringing the whole way through.
i had higher expectations for this book based on the cover, but as the saying goes....

"The way her eyes sparkled was something I'd never forget."
The Mechanic's Obsession is the first book in the Alpha Males Love Curvy Girls series. This was a sweet, spicy and fast-paced start to what promises to be an entertaining series. The story is about Amelia, a twenty-two year old woman who still lives at home with her mother and works as the office manager at Jameson's garage. Jameson is forty-two years old and never been married. He is tall, built, hard working and owns his own garage where there are several guys working for him. A year ago he put an ad up looking for someone to come in and sort out the office after the previous guy did a bad number of things. When Amelia burst in he was a goner and he almost hired her before even looking at her resume. For the last year he has watched over Amelia and warned every other man around to stay away from what is his. The problem is that he has not actually declared his feelings to Amelia. At the same time Amelia has crushed hard on Jameson, with some pretty good daydreams to go along with it. These two flirt a bit, laugh, talk and get along great. It will finally take one wrong thing said by a customer to get Jameson to get off his butt and finally go after the woman who is his, and to heck with any consequences.
I greatly appreciate books becoming more diverse in all ways. In fact, making sure than I’m reading books with a more diverse cast of characters is something I’ve been trying to focus on more lately. That being said, I don’t necessarily enjoy when the FMC’s body is one of the larger plot points of a book…whether it’s meant to be done for a positive anti-body shaming thing or whatever.
There comes a point where continuing to bring attention to it over and over again just isn’t helpful…especially when the storyline is that the MMC is telling the the FMC that she is worthy because he likes her body the way it is. He is attracted to her, therefore she is worthy. So gross. Personally would prefer a badass FMC who happens to be a curvy girl who also knows her worth…without a man defining it by his sexual attraction to her. That’s just me though.

Learning to love who she is! This is about Jameson and Amelia. She works in a mechanic shop, and the story starts with her mother leaving her hints about losing some weight. Jameson is her boss and an older man, but he has a soft spot for her, and even though they innocently flirt at times, it isn’t until a disrespectful customer comes in and insults her due to her weight. Jameson kicks him out and tells him to find a shop as he is not welcome there. I love how protective Jameson is with her, everyone in the shop knows how he feels about her, but he won’t make a move until he is convinced that she, too, feels the same for him. He also makes sure she realizes that she loves herself because she is beautiful as is.

There I was enjoying the shit out of this book when suddenly the MMC becomes Cyrano. He can’t be a 6’5” dominant piece of rugged blue collar man candy and say shit like “these feelings I’ve developed for her have steadily grown like a well-tended garden blossoming beneath the sun” give me a freaking break. Also I am not looking for self help motivation and all the love yourself for who are woo woo, I am here for an instalove romance leave the motivational speaking to Tony Robbins. If you took a shot every time the author used the word uncertainty you would be smashed before the 40% mark. There are a ton of other times that the author is repetitive with sentences. I was super impressed with the FMC being able to provide the readers with precise measurements using only her eyeballs, high five or should I say 7. This was my first and last with this author she just ain’t my jam.
Amelia's mother is forcing her to have lower self-esteem by what she has written on a note to walk to work to burn calories and also what she fixed Amelia for lunch. And after Amelia has got to work, Jameson tell her that she is gorgeous. But, she doesn't fully believe him. When a guy comes in the office to wait while her car is worked on. Some of his remarks hurt Amelia mentally;Jameson tells the to take his business somewhere else. Amelia has worked for Jameson for a year and she has become more important to him as time goes by. He wants her. Will Amelia agree to date him? Can he help Amelia to accept what he is telling her about how he sees her? Can they possibly have a future?.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Jameson and Amelia Genre- Contemporary Romance Length- about 53 pages Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋 with spanking Series? ? Safety? Y Triggers? Weight shaming, explicit erotic content Tropes: Age Gap, Alpha Male, BBW, Blue Collar, Workplace Romance Mewsings What I liked- I liked that it was from dual POV. That he wasn’t some billionaire, which made it seem more realistic. And the way he stood up for her at cost to himself. What I didn’t- she was pretty timid about saying that she liked him back and he wasn’t listening to her workplace romance concerns.

A lovely age gap story. We are taken along on the journey that Amelia and Jameson make. Amelia works for Jameson, she has always had a bit of a low self esteem and is not happy with how she looks, and when one day she also gets a comment from a customer. she gets help from her boss Jameson because he likes her the way she is and he likes her figure and the way she is. The chemistry and attraction is beautiful between them and also how she is happy with herself because of the support and love she receives from Jameson.

Amelia is 21 and is living with her mother. She is trying to figure things out. She is not happy that her mother continues to criticize her weight and is always encouraging her to diet. Her mother is a petite size 4 but Amelia is not built that way. She is a curvy girl.
Jameson is Amelia’s boss. She is the office manager. He owns a mechanics shop. She is always trying to brainstorm new ideas to help his business. Jameson is twice her age which bothers her sometimes especially when the chemistry between them is magnetic.
Jameson is one of my new favorite heroes.

Amelia works in Jameson's mechanics office and has for a while. When a possible customer is rude to her Jameson makes his feelings for her known. Things heat up quickly once he makes his intentions clear. Will she let go of her insecurities to be with him?
This is a really fast-paced book that kind of left me wanting more with how it ended which is why I didn't give a four-star rating. Its well written and somewhat entertaining just wish for a better ending.

This quick read happens all in one day, I would have liked a little more, but did like the story. I believed in the connection and chemistry between them and that they were suited to one another. I liked how Jameson wouldn't let her put herself down (would have loved to have seem him with her mother), and I liked seeing them admit their feelings for one another.

This was a rewrite from a previous book that the author did which I read about two years ago. This version was more polished, filled with more steaminess, and all around enjoyable. I liked the new content that was added and felt that this was a story that I could come back to every couple of years and reread and enjoy just as much all over again.

3.5⭐ Amelia and Jameson work together and both have a crush on each other, but neither thinks they would have a chance with the other. But things finally change when a customer flirts and them insults Amelia. Instalove , boss/employee, fast paced, short , a bit spicy and with a HEA that abruptly ended.😍 I kind of missed an epilogue and the story felt rushed and the storyline (one day) was definitely too short. But that's just me 😉
This was a spicy read about an older mechanic, Jameson and his office assistant Amelia. Amelia is attracted to Jameson but he is off limits. He is older, hot and her boss. Jameson is tired of obsessing over Amelia from afar. He is interested in her and is tired of waiting. I love how sweet and protective James is of Amelia. Her mom makes her feel less than she is and Jameson intends to show her how beautiful she is. He is such a cinnamon roll for her.
Nope. This was a DNF. This was a horrible read. I know it’s a novella but it skipped a lot of pertinent things and read like it was written by a teenager. Sorry, a 40+ year old man does not say,”So did you think about what we talked about earlier about dating, boyfriend/girlfriend, having sex, etc?”. Btw, the above things he mentions are a very brief convo that she has a total of two words in and can’t even be considered a conversation between the two of them
This felt like a chapter of a book, not a full book. Everything moved so fast, there was the idea of a lead up and tension built up between them but we didn't actually see any of it and it just felt rushed and a bit ridiculous. The way they spoke to and about each other felt out of place and I think it was because there was no lead up,but just jumped straight in and we knew nothing about who these characters were. It also ended very abruptly.
I almost DNF'd at 89% but decided to push through. I love an age-gap story, I love some dominace/BDSM but this was not okay. I was willing to let a lot slide with it being a novella - mostly written in their thoughts. Very repetitive. More telling than showing. Then I got to part of the book where consent went out the window. No one should be spanked without a conversation and consent. Gross.
Amelia had crushed hard don her boss Jameson but thought he wouldn't look at her the same him being much older. But he craved her, and it takes an ahole client for Jameson to step in and claim his woman. Well written steamy real quick age gap romance.

A fantastic read about two people who finally act upon an attraction that has been building over a year. Sweet characters, lovely storyline with just one little hint of angst but that is the turning point in the story.

Jameson and Amelia, she works for him, both are attracted to the other but nothing happens until someone is rude to her. Very fast moving, in fact the storyline occurs over the course of one day! It’s a sweet story with some dirty talk. The ending was disappointing, it just stopped, no epilogue either.

Jameson and Amelia are boss and employee. Jameson has had a crush on Amelia since she came for her interview. The crush has grown into more and a situation has pushed Jameson forward. How will Amelia react to the new Jameson? Nice short read.

The author has given us a heartwarming older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Jameson and Amelia. The story keeps us turning the pages with unspoken desires, insecurities, revelations and steam.

I got this during a stuff your kindle day - super (ssuppper) quick read that was spicy and sweet. Age gap with a curvy fmc and gruff mmc.
There’s not much of a plot lol so I don’t know what else to say other than if you only have 15-30 mins to read and don’t want to have to stop in the middle of a book when time is up - great lunch break smutty romance right here!
3,5⭐️ I really liked the beginning. I felt with Amelia, her insecurities and what pressure she goes through was really transported well. But the climax and end felt as if there was missing something. I really would have enjoyed an epilogue. To enjoy them more as a pair, but it was still an entertaining and charming read.
Jameson and Amelia, her insecurities and his longing finally comes together for a good blend for love. Even with unshared feeling they had been hiding for a year fate stepped in by way of a crazy customer everything finally comes together to make their insta love possible.
Sweet, engaging romantic novella. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a romance that I would label as romantic, but this one is thanks to how the MMC treats the FMC and demands she treats and sees herself. This does have a bit of spice at the end, but dang if it isn’t a five alarm fire! Well worth the wait.
