Becca Baxley should be celebrating. Her stalker Rand is supposedly dead—hikers found the remains to prove it. She's finally free to pursue the man she's been secretly pining for, her friends are back in town, the family bakery is getting a gorgeous makeover, and her podcast fame has put her on the map. Life couldn't be more perfect.

So why does she feel like everything is about to fall apart?

And if Rand is dead, why does she still feel as if someone is watching her?

Strange incidents keep piling up, Jeff from Barry is acting shadier than a parasol convention, and don't even get her started on the bridesmaid's dress that makes her look like a rejected Disney princess. Add in the lovely fan mail from podcast haters, and Becca's Instagram-worthy life is starting to feel more like a horror movie.

When people start vanishing and bodies begin appearing with alarming frequency, Becca realizes her paranoia might actually be survival instincts. Despite everyone telling her she's lost it, she can't shake one terrifying certainty: Rand isn't as dead as everyone thinks.

Armed with her loyal friends, her feelings for Jeff from Barry, and a stubborn refusal to become the next victim, Becca must uncover the truth before whoever's pulling the strings decides she knows too much.

The explosive follow-up to What She Doesn't Know will leave you breathless—if Becca survives long enough to tell it.

Author's note: This novel contains mature content including steamy romantic scenes, violence, murder, and strong language. Intended for readers 18 and older. This is the second book in the Baxley Bakery series. Readers should read What She Doesn't Know prior to Dance With Two Hands.

first, I am SO MAD I finished this duet but I just needed to know if it was this bad or if it was in my head.

second, why was it necessary to comment on her body SO MUCH she has Bewbs we get it. They are just D's like calm down, you'd think a man wrote this.

third, this girl is SO DUMB how do you continue to make the dumbest decisions after being taken by your stalker is your brain made of cheerios?

ugh im so mad

I already knew that this wasn’t going to be the greatest based on the first book but I had to see how it ended.

Once again, every character in this book is an idiot, and they don’t have the excuse of being children this time. The dialogue is all very childlike (for example: “you big meanie!”). No 22/23 year old talks like that. And after 2 books we also don’t really know anything about the characters. Why does Jeff even like Becca other than her boobs? Not sure because that’s all that is mentioned, so not sure what about her personality wise he “loves”. All we know about Becca's personality is that she is a naive idiot.

Genuinely, the amount of times this book talks about Becca's boobs, or her looks in general is insane. Why does every single character, including the police officers, need to objectify her or magically have her random college cheerleading magazine cover on the wall. We get the point...Becca is hot and has boobs...we don't need to be reminded every other sentence. It's very surprising that the author is not a man.

Becca and everyone around her continued to be levels of idiotic I can’t even comprehend.

Okay that’s the end of my rant, but I recommend not wasting your time.

Should have been a 4/5 star book characters stupidity ruined it.

Ok this is a review for book one and two since book one ends on a huge cliffhanger and picks right up in book two. This story started off strong, scary and captivating but quickly turned to the FMC being tstfl! I gave her grace in the beginning she was a kid then a teenager and wasn't experienced in the world, was naive and truly didn't know how to handle the hormones and attention! Also what kind of dumb@$$ freaking parents did she have?!?! Not to give spoilers away but holy shot the stupidity of the majority of these characters is astounding! Then book 2 roles around And after Becca has been stalked, kidnapped and nearly dying you'd think she would listen to her own instincts, be cautious , matured since she's in her twenties but noooo she does not! No more grace since the characters are now adults! but sadly the characters actions continue as if they are children/super young adults and not to bright of adults either. Had to finish it to see what happened with Rand, Jeff from Berry and Becca but sadly as much as I'd like to know what happened between Miles and Emma or see what happens with Kristen and Blake's marriage if these books are any indication of mature intelligent characters I'll pass! Potential to be a good read, fell flat. Best thing about these books.. Bringing awareness to stalking victims and how little the law works for the victims. So as the podcasts catch phrase says" Keep your head on a swivel"!
Here's my public announcement: be aware of your surroundings in your home and surroundings when your out, listen to your own instincts if something or someone seems off get away quickly and always, always stay safe! 1.5 stars ✌

Suspense, tension, intrigue, and romance

This series has it all. Following Becca from her middle school years through post college. She balances life, love and terror through it all. Love the circle of friends and how supportive they are.

This book was a continuation of the first in both the way I couldn’t put it down, bc I couldn’t wait to know what happened, but also I couldn’t get past the character dialogue. These really have the potential to be 5 star books but unfortunately they lack the depth needed for a good thriller.

The conversations were much better in this book than the first, but that’s not saying much. No one has conversations where every sentence includes the other person’s name. I really struggled getting past that.
“Hey Jeff from Barry.”
“Hey Becs”
“What are you doing, Jeff?”
“Oh nothing Becs.”
“That’s cool Jeff.”
Those aren’t direct quotes but they might as well be. That’s as deep as any of the conversations got with this group of people.

I also really struggled with how blatantly dumb and childish all of the characters were, ESPECIALLY Becca. She literally never grew up and matured so there was zero character development and she just has zero self preservation skills and common sense. Not to mention the entire book talked non stop about her boobs and body, which is the only reason all these guys liked her. It definitely wasn’t because of that non-existent dazzling personality she had.

All in all, I think the story was great besides the above and I think with a few re-writes and better editing, this series could absolutely be a 5 star best seller.

3⭐️ so I didn’t love this book. Book one was great. I loved it. This one felt like it drug out so long. It also felt like someone else wrote it. Maybe I need to go back and see if someone else did because honestly this one felt more childish than the first one. But it also makes me want to go back and fix my rating on it like it didn’t deserve the higher rating that I gave it. They focused so much on Becca’s boobs. It seemed like they wanted her to be dumb. Like she didn’t understand that Jeff from Barry wanted to be with her. And come on with the Jeff from Barry name. I felt like they should have dropped it way earlier in the story. Like it was cute to begin with but just stop already. There were a few points in the book that Jeff’s obsession with Becca was kind of cringy too. I don’t know I feel like the story could have been one book but they just drug it out way too long. All the characters were kind of immature. The story line was great and had so much potential. I honestly read the 1st one because it was compared to Catherine Cowels books-spoiler alert it’s not even close to her writing. I don’t think I will be reading any of the other books.

The plot is better - especially since we're done sexualizing a 14 year old child, since we're done going back in time in the podcasts. Still some cringy moments when recalling Becca and Jeff's 'love story' when she was in high school and he was 23...... the major flaw in this book was the constant hyperfixation on Becca's boobs....jesus yes she has boobs and boobs are great but come on we don't need to hear about them every other paragraph....not my thing. Also the spicy sections all started to sound the same/written the same way. Also Becca ; although she is in her 20s now still acts and thinks like a 14 year old, very juvenile inner monologues and actions; especially when it comes to her 'relationship' with Jeff. Anywho I still finished it but honestly was pretty glad to be done with it. I will be reading the next book bc I wanna know what's happening with the side character- who were not sexualized as children in these first 2 books so I have a feeling I'll like it more than these first 2.

The emotions were reall

This book completely captivated me! First I loved the way this book was written, the Olive the Podcast conversations all of it! I loved Becca and how hard she fought to get through her stalker situation. But this book really showed her growth as a survivor and a woman coming into her own! I love her amazing friendship with Emma, Allie and Kristen those girls are definitely ride or die! Seeing how everything played out was perfect!! Can't wait to read book 3 about Myles!

oh the suspense

I love a good romantic suspense… and Cat did not disappoint…. I really enjoyed the podcast angle in this book and the previous one… it was a neat way to have the characters reflect back and explain details that were previously left out. I’m not gonna lie… the creepy stalker vibes totally had me double checking my locks a couple of nights… hahaha. That’s how I know Cat really got to me. I loved this story… even though Cat drug it out between two books 🤣
Now I can’t wait to read the next book to hear Myles & Emma’s story!!

Another great book

This book picks up right after the previous and brings the same great characters and stories. All of the characters are well done and the book keeps you on the edge of your seat until the final chapter.

Can’t wait to read book three.

I don't think I've ever read a book that talked about the FMC's boobs as often as this book did. And the amount of dumb choices and decisions made when it came to a stalker was just...I can't. I read a lot of romantic suspense/thrillers and I'm kinda mad at myself for finishing this duet.

This was such a fun read!! I had a hard time with the longer chapters at the beginning. Overall this was a great ending to Becca and JFB. No spoilers but that ending had me crying all the tears but left me with so many questions.

The first book was ok. The storyline was there but it was choppy. There were hardly any pages in this book that didn’t reference Becca’s boobs. I finished it out of obligation to ensure Rand was dead but I will not be picking up the third book.

I gave it 3 stars because it was SO much better than the first one. But I am mad at myself, because that's not actually saying much.
