Realizing Love

This rock romance was about a love denied for years and a couple also coming to terms with a friend’s death. Nick was the drummer for a rock band who came home and realized it was ok to give in to the woman he has loved for years. Cerys was her own woman who had been hurt over and over again but was still a strong woman tired of waiting. All it took was a meddlesome woman who knew it was time for these two to admit to their real feelings.

I loved this book - you could just feel the chemistry between Nick and Cerys; unspoken feelings took a while to surface - but thanks to Cerys forwardness, the coming together was quite gratifying.

Totally enjoyed Menier's meddling.

Mixed views about this story. 3.5**. It didn't read right, as if something is missing. Liked the theme but I think I may have missed something and was bit confused.

A love hidden, denied feelings, guilt and grief, anger and hurt, disappointment.
The boyfriend/girlfriend relationship was Gareth and Cerys, with Nick standing to the side. Gareth dies and Nick leaves to follow his dreams of being a rockstar, for which Cerys hates him for. He has guilt over Gareth's death and blames himself, but I am not sure how he died and the circumstances. It is either poorly explained or glossed over concentrating on Nick's guilt and Cery's feelings of being left behind.
Nick and Cerys were best friends from childhood through to the teenage years. Gareth was friend to both, but he called dibs on Cerys and Nick stepped aside. Not sure if he liked her first but didn't ask her out. He asked her on behalf of Gareth. I am not sure Nick actually explains this.

Coming face to face after right years, with Meinir interference, a storm is the catalyst to these two opening up and begin to share feelings.
It's not a bad story and has the happy ending, but it seems rushed in parts because it all comes together overnight. The characters have issues with each other, which created underlying tension. Being stranded forces them to talk and this is a salve. It is also how they plan their future together. The past rushes forward into the future, which seems to please Meinir, so everyone gets their own closure.

But Nick and Cerys have always been in love with each other, but Cerys had become Gareth's girl. Nick is a drummer with a famous band so he is always on the road, but when he has time off he comes to visit Gareth's mother, Meinir. Meinir invited Nick and Cerys to have a meal together. When they saw each other mouths went south. Meinir left the two of them together and while she was gone a flash flood started. They helped secure the house and their story begins.

A great novella continuing Morgana Bevans True Platinum series.

Rockstar Regret tells the story of Nick, the drummer from Lovers Knot and his longstanding relationship with Cerys, with a few cheesy references.

Best friends since childhood tragedy has kept Nick and Cerys apart for 8 years until a meddling mother and the Welsh weather conspire to force them together.

If you have been reading the True Platinum series you will have met and loved Nick already, so this story is a treat.

Cerys and Nicks’ relationship is rocky and complicated at first but after being trapped together during a bad storm, they seem to figure out who they are to each other and move on from the pain of the past.

Very cute and quick paced read with spicy elements. Absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to read more by Morgana!

This is the first story in the new "Lover's Knot" rock star series. It is a mix of once best friends, forced proximity and second chances. The story is about Cerys and Nick. I loved every bit of this story and the characters. I could not put it down until the wonderful ending. The story is emotional and heartwarming with a matchmaker determined to meddle.

Lovers Knot is a rockband we already have heard of in the True Platinum universe. And I thought I wanted to read Tommie's story. But no, I was wrong, Nick is the one I didn't know I needed in my life.
A dead friend, a meddling mother, a flood. some cheese and the strongest heroine ever are the ingredients of this very good novella.

This may be a short book but it was mighty!
I thought it was really well written for being a shorter book. Most short books or novellas seem rushed or don’t have a chance to delve into the characters or story. With Rockstar Regret, it felt like the perfect mix. We dive into the emotions and steam with Nick and Cerys and I truly enjoyed it! Ex-best friends to lovers with a rockstar in the mix, yes please! 🎸💫

I will admit…I cried! There was some emotional scenes regarding the past death of the FMC/MCs mutual best friend/boyfriend that had my heart breaking for these characters. They are both broken people who don’t communicate and are lost in grief. Kudos to the devious matchmaker who draws them together and her devious plan! I really did end up liking Cerys’s character. While she sucked at communication she did have the strength to initiate what she wanted and see herself as a woman free to love whoever she wanted…not just the girlfriend of a ghost.
