Ohhhh man! Freakintastic!

OK! Bear with me this review is long. But I review each book separately when dealing with a boxed set!

Bk1

Man! Ohhhh man, do I like Underdogs. Jace is my man! Jace Seared before he was a month old found guilty for a crime he did not commit, having his abilities stolen from him. But Jace wasn't a quitter! And he could use everything he had left, so what if he couldn't use chi, he still had brains! Due to circumstances unbidden plans arrived in Jace's head, without Jace really even aware how. He knew his sister was in trouble, and needed to save her. But before he could do anything though, he had'ta escape from the prison he's been trapped in for his entire life. Luckily after escaping he fell in with a group of hunters who treated him like people. Actually helping him train, as they travel, and breaking through to find and use chi! All the while his mantra was, "Get to Mount Hua, Find his sister, Escape." So yeah AwesomeSauce! Go grab the boxed set and dive in!

Have some quotes:

"Baby Jace was no more cursed than the moon was made of tofu.

"Your feet make tree roots look spry."

Bk2

Wow! What an awesome book! Turns out Finding Brede, Jace's sister was the easiest part to Jace's mantra. The planning of how to get the "h" outta Dodge, was hummm not so easy. There might be even a Heist or two 😳. But the actual escape during the height of a monster surge, is either the dumbest or the most brilliant plan evarrr! And I loved every mesmerizing minute! So get ready to dive in head first into the next action-packed book.

Bk3

Freakintastic! That's what I say! Yeah they escaped outta Dodge alright, right into the badlands. Maybe not the smartest solution to their problems. but their only solution. Following his grandmother's diary. Jace and his 5 companions including Brede find the safe haven she wrote about. And once there they discovered a training room. Jace had the most to gain in the chi heavy rooms and everyone was a teacher. Not that they didn't also gained levels as well, 'cause they did. But I've been really remiss not to mention Jace's alchemic abilities! The only thing that kept Jace outta working in the mines was the fact that he could be used for making powerful pills 💊 for recovery. And you know what alchemy is one of my favorite sub-genres.
So yeah get ready to dive into the next book!

Bk4

Wow! What a book! What a series! And you guessed it the action never stops in this Cultivation series! Jace and his companions team up to allowing Jace and Brede to exact their revenge on the two Lords he kept them prisoners. Once they have gained that and their dignity they all realized that they had to leave the Badlands inorder to survive another day. They figured that they had three options to choose from, the first would definitely lead to their downfall, the other two weren't good either. They ended up choosing to escape to a Pocket Realm. And there Sami could enlist her brothers aid! While Jace keeps working on curing beings infected with Soul Spore...
Yeah luckily I have the boxed set and can immediately plunge into the next book! Take the plunge with me...

Here's a quote:

“Ah, but before I was a madman who thought he was a god. Now I am certain that I am a god who purposefully gave that up to become a madman.”

Bk5

Oh! My!! Gods!!! Wonderful!... It becomes absolutely imperative to find the cure for Soul Spore infection. When they discover that Sami's infected! Especially because they need Sami at a hundred% if they wanted to stop the Polypheme. And man, oh man there's so much more to the Pocket Realm than meets their eye, so much more. And Ramu the madman, a god who forgot his nature, to become what he is today a mortal, a madman. Well Ramu has more up his sleeve than just an arm!
And! Gods! Rule! But first a little entertainment. I just love me a good old fashioned tournament. There's nothin like it to get your heart pounding... let me Repeat myself. Gods! Rule!
So read the fifth book and see what you find out about Abro! Then just jump into the next and final book in this rip-roaring series!

Bk6

I love, Love, LOVE this book, this series! And not a bad book in the bunch, no bridges to be found, no formulas, just great writing... Jace a name gifted to him by his grandmother, from the old language meaning The Tide Breaker. Jace foretold to be the stength, The Tide Breaker! And grandmother wasn't wrong. Sami's no longer infected... but now Jace and his companions are in a race against time. The Pocket Realm is in danger of collapsing and if it does Sami's brother will die and they hafta stop, no kill Polypheme, Shivo's Harbinger of Corruption. But can they do it? Can they do in time? And save not only the Pocket Realm but the entire Empire as well... Will they be strong enough? Can they really break the tide? Read this the grand fanale to find out!

Stopped reading the book.

The books description is all about a main character. For some reason, the author decided to interrupt the msin storyline to tell his family's stories. I DON'T CARE! I'm also not a fan of jumping back and forth in time. It's abrupt. It's like changing the channel right when the store was getting interesting. Just my opinion, not everyone feels the same way.

DNF slogfest

Certainly didn’t make it very far into this series. It’s a slog and I didn’t feel like the characters made sense. The choices they would make just didn’t track so I couldn’t slog through. I was interested but I think the author needs to tighten it up to Make it a faster read

So incredible!

Honestly, it took the first book to adjust to the Eastern theme realm. Once I got used to the flow and names, the story just grabbed me and didn't let go. I'll definitely be looking for similar type fantasy in the future!

Great Series

This is my first time reading a “cultivating” fantasy and I really enjoyed the series. The character progression was really fun. I loved all the characters, especially Jace & Ramu. I’m sorry the books ended!
