Completely honest, I have never met Darian before, but I knew who he was before I read this book. I still remember seeing his smile up on the worship stage at church. You cannot see him sing or perform without smiling back at him. I challenge you! Don’t Forget Your Roar is about God pursuing an amazing man with his spiritual talents and placing him exactly where he needs to be. Even though myself and Darian are Christians, you do not have to be one, in order to enjoy this book. It is still a book about someone going after his dreams and finding his ROAR in this crazy changing world. I hope I can one day meet Darian and tell him how he changes people with his heart, voice, and smile by simply being himself!

This is an intriguing look into a journey from stage fright to courageously commanding the stage as the lead role of Simba in the national tour of Broadway’s Lion King. Darian takes the reader along as he pursues his dreams, overcomes insecurity, and finds his place among theater’s most talented performers. His message to dream big and get comfortable with being uncomfortable is a worthy challenge for us all!

I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Darian Sanders lead worship at our church several times. The fun part was watching him in the role of Simba the night before he led worship the first time. He’s engaging on both the Broadway stage and the stage at church. I loved reading about his journey to the stage, but I most loved hearing he has always seeks and listens to God’s voice. This book is enjoyable, entertaining and encouraging.

Love this book! Darian’s voice jumps off the page. He speaks with humility and talks about how his family, friends, and faith carried him through the ups and downs in his walk as an ordained minister on his journey to becoming Simba in Disney’s The Lion King National Broadway Tour. Excited to see where Darian’s journey in life leads him next!

Darians book is a timely challenge to evaluate where I’m robbing myself of growth and opportunity by trying to avoid discomfort. Where I should say yes when my default might be no. Can’t wait to see what’s next for him!

Saw Darian a few times during his Lion King run as Simba, so had to support him in his book. Book was great! It was raw and authentic and made me self-reflect. Keep crushing your success, Darian!
