I’m Caleb “C-Bomb” Baumgarten, the bad boy drummer of Red Card Riot. After tragedy strikes, I get the bright idea to hire my daughter’s remaining lifeline, her “Auntie Aubbey,” as my live-in nanny in her small town. I’m determined not to give in to my white-hot attraction to Aubrey, since I need her to testify on my behalf at an upcoming custody hearing and certify my sobriety. But you know what they say about best laid plans, right? Yeah. My bad.

Finding Home is a standalone, small town, single dad rockstar, forced proximity romance with deep feels, suspense, spice, no cheating, no third act breakup, and a happily ever after. No prior reading required. Please check author’s website for content warnings.

I love Lauren Rowe's books! She always makes me laugh out loud, but this one also had so much emotion and heart. This book is standalone, but if you’ve read Rowe’s other books, you will have the biggest smile on your face seeing the plethora of cameos from her other books. Caleb- aka C-Bomb is the drummer of Red Car Riot and someone you’ve met already if you’re caught up on her books. I didn’t know I needed a C-Bomb book but I’m so glad we got one. Aubrey and Caleb were perfect together and I loved the storyline with Raine. The ending of this book had me smiling like a fool and the audio was fantastic.

This was SO freaking ADORABLE! I just loved it.
C-Bomb was a walking red flag at the beginning of this book. He is a lot of things going against him, and though I haven’t read any other books with him in them, I could tell he was facing the music (pun intended) for previous sins. This was my first book by Lauren Rowe, though I have had my eye on her for years. SO when the opportunity for this ALC came up, it was a no brainer.
Aubrey is a badass and I related to her SO much. My heart broke for her and the situation she and Rayne find themselves in. Losing her best friend and becoming a guardian to a sweet little girl is so overwhelming. Then to have to call Caleb on his crap and fight to do what’s best for Rayne… She was so strong.
The chemistry is there between them, even as they must struggle to rely on one another to keep Rayne’s creepy ass grandpa from getting his hands on her. They have to put that aside for now and focus on keeping Caleb sober and help Rayne come to terms with her mother never coming home. It was heartbreaking and beautiful.
I also loved this whole small town. They were so welcoming to Caleb. Aubrey’s parents were so kind and supportive. It was just great.
There was no 3rd-act break up and I was really expecting that to happen. No other woman drama, though Aubrey does feel guilty about wanting her dead friend’s musical crush.
Narrated in Duet by Sean Masters & Andi Arndt, who totally killed it. So well done! And there’s drums!
Overall, this was a slam dunk for me and I will read more of this author.

This is only the second book I’ve read by the author and I am so obsessed with her! She really has a knack for combining sexy and fun moments with emotional and angsty ones, and I think that can be a tricky balancing act but she pulls it off so well. I don’t want to say too much, but since this is such an emotional story between Aubrey and Caleb I think picking the appropriate narrators must have been difficult. Andi Arndt and Sean Masters really nailed Aubrey and Caleb though, Andi’s pure and sweet voice was Aubrey in a nutshell and Sean’s growly timbre gave me chills at times. I really loved this story of second chances, fresh starts, loss, love and finding home and family so much! The author is going on my auto buy list now for sure.

3,75 ⭐️ (could've been 4 if not for a few small things)

I love books with kids, about kids...And actually my favorite parts here were the ones with Rainey. I'm glad she wasn't portrayed as an always-sweet-and-never-problematic child. And seeing both Caleb and Raine getting to know and love each other was amazing.

I didn't care as much about the romance arc. Partly because it wasn’t my main focus, but mostly because of the insta-love element. Granted, they had a lot of interactions in those 3-4 days (it was at almost the 50% mark) and once I accepted their instant love as a fact, I found myself enjoying it.

Watching Caleb transform from a stereotypical rockstar into a devoted father and partner was one of the most rewarding parts of the book.
And the trial scenes were so intense that they kept me awake until 2 am.

Oh, and I have to mention the most hilarious line for men who are bad in bed - "a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am kind of guy." Priceless!

I’m just going to dive into the review!

First off, the audiobook is brilliant with its duet narration, so I highly recommend picking it up. I loved the story overall, especially the emotional depth. Going from a rockstar lifestyle to a father who has to step up after experiencing loss, addiction, and court-ordered rehab, Caleb’s life changes quickly when he suddenly needs to be there for the little girl he’s never met. It hits all the emotions, tugs on your heartstrings, and even has a suspenseful element.

Aubrey is a fantastic FMC, and I loved the nanny and sobriety aspects of the story. Plus, the daughter is absolutely adorable! The spice was great—intimate and well done.

I do have a couple of small critiques. When Caleb and Aubrey finally became intimate, I was shocked—I actually thought Caleb was dreaming. It didn’t fully sink in until halfway through the scene, and it wasn’t confirmed until the following chapter that it had really happened. I also felt like their relationship was a bit fast-forwarded; I wanted to feel more between them before that moment as I didn’t fully feel the connection at full potential by this point

Another thing was the email situation. When Aubrey mentioned she wouldn’t have sent it, and it was later revealed during the trial who actually did, it felt a bit thrown in. I found it hard to believe that the lawyer uncovered the answer so easily but again I had no idea what this lawyer was going to bring to the table. I think I would have liked to see more of the lawyer’s approach before the trial so that the reveal didn’t feel so abrupt and out of nowhere.

That said, for how emotional and raw this story was, I really loved it! I’m looking forward to experiencing more of Lauren’s work in the future.

I honestly really enjoyed this book. It was a fresh storyline for me the characters were so real without it taking you out of the story, and I just had a great time with this. The audio was amazing!

Rockstar single dad, recovering addict and his daughter’s caretakers story, with a twist. I’m not gonna lie, I didnt think Id come around to Caleb, but his character development was amazing, quick yet also realistic He was down so bad for his daughter and eventually Aubrey.

Aubrey was such a good auntie and friend I just loved how strong she was and how she didn’t take crap from anyone in the book.

This book had great character development, a very interesting plot, swoony moments, great spice, and seriously one of the best epilogues ive read. And a hint into a second gen series?! Im obsessed. Will def be reading more from Lauren!

Rockstar/millionaire
Single dad/nanny
Recovering addict
Forced proximity
No third act
Great emotional depth

✨ Finding Home ✨

I didn't know if Caleb (aka C-Bomb) could redeem himself after being such a villain in Lauren's Reed Rivers Trilogy, but ohhhh did he win me over! He was a walking red flag at the beginning of the book but quickly grew into the most protective, loving, sweet man and father. I loved how he was such a bad boy on the outside but ends up being absolute mush for his daughter, Raine, and Aubrey.

This book made me feel all the feels- it had so much emotion, spice, heartfelt moments, and just enough suspense to keep you hooked all the way until the end. Everything comes together in such an exciting way and our couple finds the most perfect HEA!

I really enjoyed this one! Check it out if you like:

This audiobook was fantastic. It was dual narrated by Andi Arndt and Sean Masters. Sean's voice was absolutely perfect for a bad-boy musician and Andi was a perfect fit for Aubrey. I also LOVED the voice for Raine. The way she mispronounced words in the audiobook was absolutely adorable. I highly recommend this one!

Duet Narration
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sean Masters.

Lauren Rowe knows how to write an emotionally impactful book! And having it narrated by Sean Masters and Andi Arndt only makes it that much more special. These two were the perfect Caleb and Aubrey! Sean brought out Caleb's broody and possessive side so incredibly well with his deep, gravelly voice. It was perfect for this tattooed bad-boy drummer. And Andi!!! Ahhhhh!!! If you've been here a while, you KNOW Andi is a favorite of mine. Especially when it comes to feisty females. There is something about the way she brings these females to life that just hooks me every time. And throw in emotional scenes, and Andi always nails it. I loved her as Aubrey. The way she expressed each emotion that Aubrey went through after the passing of her friend and being left to figure out how she was going to raise her sweet two-year-old daughter had me tearing up by chapter 2. It was so wonderfully captured. These two make an incredible duo, and I look forward to more audiobooks with these two narrators.

I'm usually not one for Rockstar-style books. Whoever this book was, it was so much more than that. Lauren did such an incredible job with how she handled Caleb's journey through his sobriety and becoming an unexpected father. And the way this man took charge of every situation when it came to putting his daughter first. It was well done! I highly recommend this book even if you aren't a rockstar romance fan. Because you'll be falling in love with this broody drummer in no time.

Aubrey was the spunky FMC this man needed. I loved her personality so much! And the way she handled him in the beginning of the book. She was not afraid to put this man in his place. Especially when it came to how protective she was over her best friend's daughter! She didn't hold back, and he needed that. I enjoyed these two together so much!

If you're looking for a beautiful emotional read with a hint of a rockstar romance trope, this book is for you!!

Finding Home has been my company for the last couple days and I couldn’t ask for better.

The way I am in love with these is truly beyond words and I loved every second of it.
The storytelling was phenomenal and I loved listening to this one - Andi Arndt and Sean Masters were truly a perfect cast for Aubrey and Caleb and I loved every second of this story.

There’s always something special about a single-parent special when he finds a second chance with the little kid. I ate this one up and I couldn’t stop reading it - special because of Caleb.

I love how this book gave me a hug in the warmest way possible and made me believe in soulmates like crazy while making me sob - lol, I was a wreck at some parts and right in the beginning.

The little girl was amazing and gave everything I except in kids - sweet, amazing and with the best vibe truly!

Even though this book was my first by Lauren I can assure that it will not be my last AT ALL. I loved the writing and the characters and I really believe I will love more of her books.

I am trying not to give away much of this story because I really want for all of you to have the best experience like I have - and I assure you that if you have the chance to grab it on audio - please do!

When ”bad boy” drummer of Red Card Riot Caleb Baumgarten needs help with his new and unexpected situation of being a single dad to a two year old named Raine, he pleads with Aubrey Capshaw to help him out. Aubrey has been in Raine’s life for a bit but I won’t say why…you will find out. She not only is now going to be his live in nanny but also his sober coach. What could go wrong? Make sure to have some tissues ready for this heartfelt and emotional story but don’t worry there plenty of laughs along the way too. my face hurts from smiling so much and those tender moments between father and daughter. A top read of 2025! Told in first person and dual POV.

We have known this hero for several books, and he has always been the fun, spontaneous drummer. It was nice to see him find his HEA, and seeing him as a dad, how it grounded him and gave him purpose was great.

The suspense plot line was good, but it did all just seem to go really smoothly for the FMC and MMC, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I just have to be in the mood for relatively smooth sailing type of books. I mean they had hurdles but they just kind of overcame them together. Again, I just need to be in the right mood for that.

The epilogue, though. If she is even remotely hinting at what I think she is…

My very first novel by Lauren Rowe, and it will definitely not be my last! I loved, loved this story. The emotions and connections you end up having with these characters. Knowing that Caleb, Aubrey, and Raine are the perfect little family, what Caleb is willing to do for his family. The lengths that Aubrey goes to, to orotect Raine. Raine who is, without a doubt, the cutest little girl ever!! I did t want to put this book down! From the opening line to the end credits, I was captivated with this story! The author did an amazing job! I highly recommend this one!

Thank you so much to Lauren and Hambright PR for the gifted copy/ALC and PR.

I already knew I was going to love this because Lauren Rowe wrote it, but oh my goodness it was SO GOOD.

Caleb “C-Bomb” is a world famous rock star who is going down the wrong path after the passing of his mother. All he cares about is when and how he’s getting his next fix. But everything changes when he gets a call about his daughter.

The FMC, Aubrey, is so strong. The way she loves her best friend’s little girl is felt from beginning to end. All she wants is to keep her in a safe environment, even if it means having to give her up.

I love a single dad romance, but add in the fact that he’s fighting to keep his daughter safe, I was so here for it. Caleb really grows into himself with Aubrey. She helps him with his sobriety and helps him to build his relationship with his daughter. Their relationship has everything—all the spice but also so many sweet moments.

The duet narration by Andi Arntt and Sean Masters was AMAZING. Sean’s deep voice is exactly how I envisioned Caleb to sound. Highly recommend the audiobook!

Oh. My. Goodness. This AUDIO. This was so freaking good. This is my second Lauren Rowe book and I love it. So much. She’s turning into a comfort/auto buy author.

From the start…again Lauren gives us so much emotion. From grief, to substance abuse to learning how to right wrongs and parent…we get so much in this book. I always say, single dad/nanny situations are my kryptonite and Finding Home was no different. The addition of some romantic suspense here just kept me hooked.

I loved the journey C-Bomb goes through. Flawed characters are my favorite and I love reading their character arcs. Finding Home had me laughing to crying to laughing some more. Our sweet and sassy Raine was so accurate for her age, I was cackling.

Andi Arndt and Sean Masters are two of my top tier narrators and they are perfection in these roles. Andi as a kid always gets me so good. And Sean…he’s an auto listen.

Pick this up if you love:
•single dad/nanny
•small town
•age gap
•some suspense elements
•forced proximity
•celebrity

Finding Home was everything I wanted for Caleb’s redemption and more! I have read all of Lauren's books and have been waiting for Caleb since he was first ever mentioned and my need for his book just grew and grew. I am so happy that he finally spoke to Lauren and she could write this book. I had so many thoughts of what Caleb's story could include and Lauren had everything that I could possibly have wanted in this book plus so much more I never even considered. Aubrey was the perfect match for Caleb she is kind and understanding but also fiercely protective, sassy, and strong-hearted. She takes everything Caleb throws at her and makes him truly understand how much he deserves love and that being self-destructive will never make him feel less empty. She gives him a family that truly cares for him and a space to be safe. I love how protective he is and how he realizes that everything he needs is right at his fingertips.
Lauren's audiobooks are always fabulous. The production is top tier. I loved that we got to hear Caleb playing the drums and the duet narration was perfect.
I loved this so much and I don't know what I am going to do now. I need Lauren to write a second gen series so I don't have to give up these characters. (Caleb's daughter and Dax's son maybe?!?!) ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed Finding Home by Lauren Rowe. I adore Rockstar romances, and this book certainly fits the bill. Single parent tropes aren’t usually my jam, but Lauren wrote this book in such a way that I instantly connected to the characters. Adding forced proximity to the mix was the icing on the cake for me. The main characters had great chemistry which made for the perfect plot to spice ratio. I would suggest checking the content warnings, as there are some heavy themes.

The audiobook is performed in duet by Andi Arndt and Sean Masters. Both Andi and Sean flawlessly performed the emotions of the characters, adding to my connection to the story. They both have the cutest kids voices too. Great audiobook.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

Finding Home was actually my first Lauren Rowe book and I can't wait to read more from this author. I am not usually a big fan of rockstar romances, but I appreciated that this one didn't revolve around his band and touring.

Caleb, aka C-Bomb, is currently attending a court appointed rehab when he finds out the mother to his 2 year old daughter died in an accident. He originally didn't want to be a part of his daughter's life, but had a change of heart when his mom was dying from cancer and tried to reach out to the mother to change their agreement. The mother didn't want him involved, but now is determined to step up and be a father to his little girl. The mother's best friend Aubrey is taking care of his daughter Raine with the help of her parents. Raine is attached to Aubrey, so Caleb decides to try and win custody but include Aubrey. The trouble is he needs someone to keep an eye on him for his rehab and Aubrey becomes a live in sobriety coach/babysitter while he tries to bond with his daughter.

Aubrey was a feisty and smart heroine and I loved how devoted she was to Raine. She would not let Caleb get away with anything and I loved their banter. I really enjoyed watching how Caleb slowly built trust and beautiful relationship with his daughter.

I had an issue with how they started having sex. It just felt very abrupt and it felt like it came out of nowhere. I would have liked that to be handled differently. The heroine went from resisting the temptation to just walking in while he was getting himself off. At first I thought it was a dream it seemed so out of character.

I really liked how this book started off. I love enemies to lovers so watching the two characters who could barely stand each other fall in love was totally my jam. The rockstar trope was pretty cool and I loved the found family aspect. I felt like this book could have been edited down- maybe cut out all the “baby”s or something. It was literally every line. “I love you baby” “I love you too baby” “will you marry me baby?” “Yes baby” “I don’t want to wait baby. Can we get married tomorrow baby?” “Yes baby”. But there just seemed like so much unnecessary filler. The amount of times these people wash their hands… nobody must ever get sick there lol. There’s one part when Aubrey was inside the house and Miranda comes in the from the party outside and the line is “As Bonham grumbles, I wash my hands, while Miranda grabs a cold drink from the fridge. Hence, the reason she came inside, apparently.” Why did we need to know that? I really enjoyed the first 60-70% of this book.

Anyone who knows me and knows my taste in books knows my love for Lauren Rowe’s runs deep. At this point, I don’t even need to read the blurb of the books. I automatically know I’m going to love anything and everything she writes and Finding Home was no exception!!

Caleb (CBomb) is the one and only drummer of Red Card Riot. He’s the incredibly talented, sexy, fun, loving man who is one of the best drummers around… however, he’s battling demons. He may be famous, but with fame comes so much stress and so many uncontrollable mental health issues and to help him cope with the stress, Caleb turned to alcohol and it has been way too easy to mask his demons. Leading him to become an alcoholic.
One day Caleb gets hit with a surprise that he’s a father, but he knows he’s not in any position to step up, get to know the child (Raine)… Until he has no choice but to take the Raine now he’s been left as a single father after a tragic event. He is now on a mission to make sure he can keep his two-year-old safe and he’s now pushing himself to give up drinking, stay sober and be the best father he can be. He even has himself a sobriety coach. It’s not easy raising Raine and he has been leaning on and relying on Raine’s mother’s best friend Audrey for help which meant they spent a lot of time with each other and before long a connection formed and feelings followed.

Audrey was such a blast! Full of sass and wit. She was such an easy character to love and I loved how much she loved Raine. He helped Caleb. She pushed him, she believed in him. It didn’t take long for these two to start falling for each other and become a family for Raine.

This was an emotionally charged story that hit home for me. I’m a recovering alcoholic. 8 years this year and getting sober and staying sober was not and still is not easy. You fight with your head every single day to not turn to drinking/using again. It can be so easy to fall back into addiction.

Lauren wrote the addiction/alcoholism well and it’s appreciated. It seems as though she took the time to research the topic.

The chemistry between these two was insanely intense and undeniable. It was real. It was pure and it was raw. I was addicted!

I’m not going to dive in any deeper… I feel like I’ve given too much away as is. One thing you need to know is this is quite an emotional story. The author drops a few plot twists that I did not see coming. It may be emotional and in-depth and handles some serious issues so many people face in life, but it also has Lauren Rowe’s signature twist of humour weaved into it and I found myself laughing throughout the book too!
It will tug at your heartstrings and give you warm fuzzies and it will have you falling in love not just with the main characters but with the secondary characters too!

Overall, I was completely and utterly consumed by this story from beginning to end. It was captivating and such a fun yet emotionally rewarding read.

Highly recommend reading! You won’t be disappointed.

This is going on the top read of 2025!!

Thank you @hambright_pr and @laurenrowebooks for the free alc 💖.

✨What it is about:
Caleb, a drummer for a famous band has been hiding the fact he had a daughter with a fan. He has been supporting her since she was born, but never met her. When tragedy strikes and the little girl’s mother dies, Caleb is set to take on the role of caregiver and raise his daughter. However, he’s going to have to convince the baby’s mother’s best friend, Aubrey. She has been caring for the little girl together with the mother since the day she was born. When Caleb makes an appearance, she’s not too keen on “letting him in”. ✨

💭My thoughts:
This swoon worthy romance has some amazing characters, and a lot of real life drama. Lauren incorporates great banter, fun, emotional and angsty moments, as well as some steamy scenes that really captivate the reader. The depths of the characters as well as what each has to tackle on the daily, was delivered flawlessly in a story that really keeps you engaged all throughout. I could not put it down. I loved how protective Caleb was, and how emotionally vulnerable yet strong he was. This guy is the kind of bad boy with a heart of gold you want to see succeed. Aubrey was such a great friend. It was amazing to see her step up for her friend with such a huge responsibility, and being so intentional once Caleb entered the picture. I loved the communication between the two, as well as the support of all the family members around them. This was sweet, touching, fun, emotional and a little spicy too.
🎧The duet narration by Andi Arndt and Sean Masters was SO WELL DONE! I did not want the book to end.

“The past is the past. Decide who you want to be and will him into existence. That’s all you’ve got to do.”

“God help me, the woman is lighter fluid. Fuel to my raging flames.”

This was such a beautiful story of not only second chances but also for finding peace amongst loss and trauma. Caleb aka C bomb, the drummer from the incredibly successful band Red Card Riot was living the good life. Well, was living a life. Drugs, girls, rock n roll, you know how that goes, until he found out he was going to be a dad. C Bomb was not ready to be a father, so he signed his rights away. But after an unexpected tragedy, he is now ready to fight for his right to be a father to his little girl. With the help of her Aunt Aubbey, Aubrey helps Caleb in more ways than one. C bomb never thought he would ever find true happiness in life, until her, until them.

I felt such connection to this story through Caleb. A Connection that I wasn’t expecting. Caleb comes home to place he loved when he was younger. A place where he would feel safe and independent. I have a place like that and to this day, the mere mention of it brings a smile to my face. This is a special story. Thank you so much for the chance to read and review it Lauren!

This story is emotional from the start. Caleb, a troubled rockstar, has made his share of mistakes from rehab, bad decisions, and being absent from his daughter Raine’s life. When tragedy strikes, he gets a second chance to make things right, but Aubrey, Raine’s caretaker and her late mother’s best friend, isn’t quick to trust him. With Raine’s grandfather also fighting for custody, Caleb and Aubrey must work together to protect her, leading to an emotional journey of love, redemption, and family.

Caleb’s growth is compelling, and his redemption arc is deeply satisfying. Aubrey is equally strong, stepping up for Raine without hesitation. Their slow burn romance is filled with tension and heart, making their connection feel natural. The audiobook narration by Andi Arndt and Sean Masters enhances the experience, bringing Caleb and Aubrey to life with raw emotion and authenticity. Their duet-style performance makes this an even more immersive and unforgettable story. This audiobook is one of my favorites so far this year and definitely one you want to listen to!

Thank you, Lauren Rowe and Hambright PR for the ALC.

Finding Home by Lauren Rowe is the kind of book that grabs your heart and doesn’t let go! From the very beginning, I was completely hooked on Caleb Baumgarten (aka C-Bomb), the bad-boy drummer with a heart of gold, and Aubrey Capshaw, the fiercely independent woman thrown into an impossible situation. Their journey is packed with sizzling chemistry, emotional depth, and just the right amount of small-town charm.

Caleb might be a rockstar, but his love for his daughter, Raine, is what truly makes him shine. And Aubrey? She’s strong, compassionate, and everything Caleb never knew he needed. Their dynamic is electric, full of tension, banter, and those “oh-my-God” moments that make your heart race. Add in the forced proximity, a dash of suspense, and the undeniable found-family vibes, and this book is perfection. And the ending!!! It was everything I wanted it to be!

Andi Arndt and Sean Masters brought this story to life! Sean is Caleb—his cocky charm and raw emotion come through flawlessly. Andi nails Aubrey’s strength and vulnerability, making every moment feel real. Their combined performance had me laughing, crying, and fully immersed from start to finish.

Lauren Rowe nailed this one! Now I’m going to her backlist for Reed Rivers story.

🎧🎙️AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎙️🎧

Well, there’s a little moister in my eyes as I type this. THIS.STORY.

Since the 5th of January I have listened to this audiobook twice. The first time I was soooo up in my feelings that I thought I might have missed things. I didn’t, but I listened again anyway this past weekend. Was it easier this past weekend? Sure, but it was still as heartbreakingly beautiful as it was in January! The thing about this story is that it was driven by emotion. Like all the emotions all of the time. It was never not emotional, and that includes joy and happiness and elation. That made it exponentially more real in my opinion and probably why I will not soon forget the story of Caleb, Raine and Abby. 💙

Caleb and Abby were perfectly imperfect and fit like a puzzle. They were that perfect thing each needed to move forward in life and be happy. I’m finding it really hard to actually say anything about the book because everything is important and there’s a whole lot of journey in their story AND you should be going in blind. A story such as this one needs to be experienced with a blank slate. It’s fictional but also not. It’s more than just a romance journey, way more, and it touched my soul. It’s a story of new beginnings and second chances. It's a story of loss and love. It’s a story of finding your place and finding family. It’s a story of hope.

Andi and Sean’s duet narration was spectacularly on point for me. The timber in Sean’s voice was perfect for Caleb and Andi performed a wonderful Aubrey. The story was that much more special because of these narrators! I obviously haven’t *read* the story since it doesn’t release for about a week but I’d bet anything the best experience would be listening! #betme (I’ll report back if I change my mind lol but I doubt it)
