It’s a bold move to base a novel on the Dracula mythos, especially in an era where every corner of the paranormal genre seems to be teeming with bloodsuckers and brooding families. But leave it to Selene Wilde to not only take on the challenge but to utterly own it. As a young author in a shark tank of indie paranormal writers, Ms. Wilde isn’t just swimming — she’s making waves.
Bloodline brings us back into the stormy world of Alex and Kate, this time delving deep into the dark, twisted history of Alex’s family. And I do mean dark — as in so dark that you’ll need a flashlight to navigate its depths. Wilde's storytelling doesn’t just flirt with danger; it leaps headfirst into it, with violence, betrayal, and cruelty running through every page like a current you can’t escape. Every plot twist is another layer, and just when you think you’ve got it figured out, Wilde yanks the rug out from under you, leaving you tumbling into the next layer of chaos.
But beneath the brutality, there’s a beautiful, messy romance at the heart of it all — one that pulses with love, desire, and family drama. The tension between Alex and Kate is electric, but it’s the undercurrent of violence, vengeance, and tragedy that really grabs you. Things were looking up for Alex and Kate. Alex was teaching Kate how to be a vampire and a hunter. Then the worst happens and Kate is kidnapped by Alex’s brother. I could not believe how bad his brother and father were. What happens to Alex and Kate and Alex’s siblings were atrocious. This book kept me turning the pages to find out what else was going to happen. I would recommend reading this book.

Kate and Alex have another wonderful story. Alex training Kate to be the best vampire she can be. Then tragedy strikes in the form of Mikheil and Alex is to the rescue! Surprise family reunion, Dracula is as much of a jerk as you think he is.
Alex’s other brother Vlad deserves so much better. As well as his sister.
In the end Alex and Kate make it out and finally have a happy moment.

Kate and Alex are back and while Alex is away, Kate is taken and thus begins a lot of drama, danger, intrigue and vampire intrigue. Kept me reading to see how it would play out and how these two would get back to each other. And what they must survive to do it. Fast paced and fun to read.

A year ago, Kate was a Hunter, but in a matter of minutes, she was "turned" into a vampire. She has now spent the past year being trained by Alex in all things vampire. She has shown a high level of self control when it comes to her bloodlust, so Alex feels it is time for them to leave their sanctuary in Alaska and return back to civilization.
Kate finally decides that she is ready to leave Alaska. Alex decides to surprise her by arranging a visit to her sister who she hasn't seen in a long time. While he is away making arrangements, plans go awry He returns to find Kate gone It doesn't take long for Alex to figure out that his brother, Mikheil, is involved. To make things even worse, once he knows where Mikheil is taking Kate, he knows his father, the evil Dracula, is involved.
This is a tense, dramatic, suspenseful read with strong characters. You will be riveted to the story and turning those pages to see how it all turns out. It is a great, edge-of-your-seat read. Enjoy!

This was another great story . It was a page turner and the suspense was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Kate was a Hunter and Alex was a handsome vampire. When they meet it was love at first sight but she had to eliminate him at once. But he was so handsome and desirable and she couldn’t fight the temptation any longer and their romance was forbidden. Sparks were flying between them life fireworks. Could she keep her desire a secret from the other Hunter. Will they run away together in the heat of the night in this moment.

I enjoyed reading the next chapter in Alex and Kate's story. This book is very suspenseful. Full of action and tests. I could not put this book down. It's very well written. And the mate bond between them only grows stronger. Selene is a wonderful author. This is a must read. I'm looking forward to the next book. Enjoy everyone

I had already read the previous book so I was excited to see this one. I was kind of hoping that Mikheil we finally get what was coming to him. It was difficult to read all the trials and tribulations that Alex and Kate had to go through. Vlad made me cry.
