At one A.M. the beautiful young woman in white plummeted through the Times Square sky and slammed onto the roof of a parked van. NYPD Detective Anthony Ryan, who had witnessed the fatal descent, swore that as he bent over her broken body, the "jumper" whispered three words in his ear.... Thus begins a case that will haunt Ryan and his partner, Detective Joe Gregory, more than any other in their twenty years on the job. Did promising actress Gillian Stone commit suicide or was she pushed off her high-rise balcony? To uncover the truth, Ryan and Gregory must delve into worlds both known and unfamiliar, from Broadway's back alleys to the old Irish enclaves of Yonkers, and probe the dark secrets of a mysterious woman's heart.
Crime noir drama set in New York in the late 1990s. A young actress flies off a building to her death. Two NYPD police officers and a young reporter begin looking into the case that leads to an investigation into possible murder.
A worthwhile effort by Dee. However, I felt the characters a bit strange and the writing style a tad bit existential for my taste.
