I will rewrite this when I am not so broken down by a book

But David Fenne seriously smashed my heart to pieces, this was such a brilliant trilogy to read as well as the ending. I will not be over this book series ever.

Good closer for a good series. Characters were consistent in their flaws etc

Trigger warnings for So Over This include: medical experimentation, kidnapping, abuse of power over minors; grooming, an abusive relationship and mind control.

"think of the children". This argument regardless of its context is always crap. It's not about the children. It's never about the children. That's far from the issue people have.

"Freya, this is literally my life – my rights – we're talking about!" Again, this was painful to read. Something I said to a couple friends as I was reading this was 'In the span of like 2 chapters I've already come across two quotes that felt painfully real right now. That's not meant to happen with a fluffy fantasy about a gay teen boy with emotion powers. Not fair.'

I didn't expect to feel all of that. And the author needs to sit and think about what he did to those poor characters. How rude.

I loved this trilogy, and I have no doubt I'll end up rereading the whole thing again. It is the kind of series that benefits from being ready together. They don't have to, but the emotional impact is greater if you do.

I love that Zachary got exactly what he deserved. But that ending? Ow. What a way to end the series.
