This was such a great ending to Yara’s story, full of emotion, action, and spice. My heart was breaking at so many points during the story, especially when Mateo started to shut down again and when Yara thought James had abandoned her.
Still love how this runs in conjunction with Izzy’s story (Come to Bed) and you see both sides from different perspectives. Finding out about Yara’s parents was shocking, especially after hearing a version of his voice in her head for so long, he really was a poison spreading through lives and infecting those he encountered. I loved meeting Eve and to be honest, I was quite surprised that she survived, given ever she’d been put through. I hope at some point Sage writes her story; I would definitely read it.

We start off with Yara getting her unexpected pregnancy news at the end of book three. she's trying to wrap her head around that while also dealing with guys. She also needs to tell Izzy about James. Her stalker is gone but there is still someone out there, connected to both her and Izzy. The guys try to figure out who is after Yara while protecting her and the baby. When Yara and Izzy both get taken, secrets are finally revealed.

Once I started into this book I realised it was book two of the series so sort of played a bit of catch up but felt it would have been a smoother transition to this book. Yarra needed her happily ever after but with her three men being beside her the heart break lessens and steamy intimacy moments were hot.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Yara is forever my indecisive queen !

Honestly im obsessed with her - 3 men who would do ANYTHING for her. Especially

Kazi. He such an ideal man, no fuss & fiercely protective.
Mateo. His name alone brings out the darkest desire you never knew you could imagine. A true bedroom GOD !
James. Best friends dad but who hasn’t had fantasies about that scenario

Here’s the plot twist … HIM! A living demon !

Easy 5 starts I was dragged him into this complicated threesome without a blindfold :)

The long awaited second part to this duet and it did NOT fail! Oh, it is brilliant! I would highly recommend a re-read of book 1 if you have already read it just to refresh the plot - and to enjoy the men in Yara's life again!
highly recommend - delve in!

I was really excited to jump into this one after finishing Come Inside, especially since I already had the ARC waiting for me. But I’ll be honest, the start of this book didn’t pull me in right away. For the first half, I found myself struggling to stay engaged. The pacing felt off, and I just wasn’t connecting with the characters the way I hoped to.

Yara forgiving Kazi so quickly threw me off a bit. I get that some people are just more forgiving, and it probably makes sense for her character, but I kind of expected more resistance (more of a fight between them after everything that happened), on the flip side, I do understand why she did it, so I’m a little torn there.

There were also a few moments that made me pause, like Yara “using” Kazi while he was injured, that scene just didn’t sit quite right with me. Not bad writing, just something that personally didn’t work for me.

That said, once I hit the 50% mark, everything really started to pick up. The pacing improved, the emotions landed, and I suddenly found myself completely hooked. I actually had to make myself stop reading and go to sleep because I wanted to keep going so badly 😅.

I also loved seeing Eve become part of their lives, I wasn’t expecting that at all and it turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the book. Honestly, I thought she wasn’t going to make it, so I’m glad she did. It added a really sweet touch to the story that balanced out some of the darker/ heavier parts.

As with the first book, I still struggled a bit with the multiple POVs. That’s totally a me thing, the format just isn’t my favorite and I know that now.

Overall, I’d say this was between a 2⭐ and 3⭐ read for me. I liked Come Inside a bit more, so this one lands just under that. The story itself is good, the writing solid, and it’s definitely worth reading if you liked the first one, it just took me a while to get into it.

Huge thanks to the author for letting me be part of the ARC team and for sharing her work with me. Even though this wasn’t my personal favorite, I really appreciate the opportunity and the experience of reading both books.🤍✨🫶🏼

Come Alive was a great ending to Yaras story that anyone could have expected! I’m not typically a pregnancy trope person but the way this was written was top tier. 3 forms of prevention and she ends up pregnant, almost loses the babies and then is saved! This was a great novel and I love the multiple POVs just like the last. My only complaints was that it did feel a bit rushed in parts and there could’ve been a little more backstory to parts of it - specifically Eve and her part - but overall great read!

Come Alive is the 4th book in the Darkest Desires Series by Sage RelleAnne. Before you begin this book, please ensure that you have read, or you do read, Come to Bed, Come Inside, and Come to Head before you read this one. All of these books are connected and you will not understand Come Alive without having read those previous books first.

Thank you Sage for giving me everything that I didn't know I needed in the final book in Yara's book. Although I will admit that I wish there was one final book in Yara's book, I just wish we had one more book to know what happened after this book to this perfect little family. Through this book though, it was everything I didn't know I needed for Yara's story after everything she's been through, she get's the ending that she truly deserves, and I can be honest and admit that through this entire book I was nothing less than a total mess through this entire book.

Sage did her job and made sure that Come Alive hit as hard as possible. As a empathetic person I felt each and every ounce of Yara's pain, I went through the healing Yara went through right next to her and I smiled at her growth.

Yara's past, one that she thought was dead and buried, isn't actually as dead as Yara thought. And now it's coming back with a vengeance. And now it's not only Yara's life that's on the line, it's also her best friend Izzy's life and Yara soon learns that the two of them are actually way more intertwined than they ever dreamed.

And after she and Izzy are taken, their men are going to stop at nothing to get them back.

I love that Yara gets her HEA, but man oh man, what a trip.

Yara has been to hell and back. And yet, through all her trauma, she has managed to pull herself back to her feet, find the strength to rise again and find herself stronger for it, and find a peace and finally find a love of her own and when she found her love, that just made my heart ache and swell in happiness in only the best ways. And through it we see that she faces a trauma that is so raw and overtly heavy, and that only makes her finding her HEA in the end all that much sweeter and hit all that much harder.

Sage is a master in writing spice and the spice in Come Alive is just absolute perfection. It's perfection, passionate, creates connections that connect characters who have been broken over and over again and then put back together over and over again. Each spicy scene is meaningful, every touch feels as if it carries weight and by the end of this book, I felt as though I was just obsessed with these characters and I really wanted more of them.

Sage managed to perfectly walk the edge of a razor-edge between the darkness and hope and creates this beautiful story. You will find yourself crying, blushing, and by the end of the entire story you'll find yourself grinning like a fool because Yara finally earned her own HEA. This was her perfect ending to her journey.

We see emotional healing, the entire story is emotional, it's beautifully unhinged and as Yara's story comes to its full circle we find that all the tears we have shed for Yara, they have all been worth it.

This is the perfect ending to Yara's story and if you have read the rest of the series than I highly recommend this book. If you haven't read this series then I highly recommend it, Sage RelleAnne is a master at the stories she tells and they are all worth the read and all highly enjoyable. I can't recommend her or her novella's enough.

“I’m a walking science experiment”

Come Alive is book 4 of the Darkest Desires Series (Book 2 of Yara's Darkest Desires Duet). Sage is the Queen of dark why choose romance.

Yara discovers she is pregnant after being with 3 men. James, her best friend's dad who had a vestecomy. She is trying to wrapp her head around the fact she needs to not only only inform him of her pregnancy, but that she is best friends with his daughter Izzy and knows where she's at, is in a relationship with two other men and wants him to be her third. She also has to tell Izzy that her father is alive and might be pregnant by him.

Kazi has been by her side for a decade, sent by his boss Emilo to watch over her. They finally gave into each other and even though they used a condom, he might be the father. Mateo is an enforcer who works for Emilo too. He fell hard for her right away and had to have her, being on the pill, he may also be the father.

Yara finds herself having to face her nightmare, her past, while protecting Izzy, the 3 men she loves and the life she's carrying. She will fight for her family to be safe and kept together.

I love the way Sage wrote Yara. She has overcame so much trauma. Yara had a rough past. Her father treated her badly. He belittled her, tortured her, and just broke her. It has taken years for her to be strong and confident, but she still has her moments. Especially if she looks into a mirror.

Yes, she feels like she isn't enough at times, but then she takes control. Her men are always reminding her how beautiful she is and how much they desire her. They are extremely protective of her. They will unalive anyone who hurts or touches her.

The twist and turns, the secrets, which of the men got her pregnant, and will Yara ever be free from her past... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This read had me on edge in the best way.

Sage writes the spiciest scenes in her books. Yara, loves being with her men and they love showing her what she does to each of them and how the need to fill her the way she demands to be. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

*ARC Review* Thank you for the opportunity to read this book early
Tropes include;
-best friends dad
-why choose
-accidental pregnancy (done well)
-yearning
-touch her and die
-they’re her bodyguards

When I received this ARC I quickly downloaded and read the prior three books, definitely recommend to do so, however maybe leave the last few chapters (mainly epilogue) of “Come to head” if you don’t want Yara’s ending spoiled.

I really enjoyed this. I found it fast paced, every moment/interaction added to the story and I loved the different POVs throughout the series. This was my favourite book in the series. I did struggle a little to connect with Yara and understand her body image issues (I feel grateful because I’ve not personally experienced that kind of abuse/conditioning) but as her story was told, I really felt for Yara and how she struggled and how Kazi was able to read her and protected her when she wasn’t quite ready to work through those feelings. I personally love a complex character that pisses me off while I also root for them. I did feel like Yara was quite selfish at times especially with how she treated James (again this stems from her own trauma) and throughout most of the series I was feeling really bad for how they all treated him knowing the situation. I also felt from Izzy’s story that Yara didn’t really care about her enough to put her safety and wellbeing before her own wants. (Again this is literally for the plot). There were ALOT of secrets between the two girls who have been supposedly best friends for over a decade 🙃 The spice was good and was balanced well with the plot.
If recommend this for anyone who’s looking to dip a bit more into darker trauma based stories or a quick story that’s ticks all the boxes

So, this is the second book of Yara’s Darkest Duet. I truly enjoyed the first book, and yes you have to read the first one before diving into this second book.

The story started a bit patchy, not in a bad way, but, it’s not really giving the author’s usual vibes - I feel like the author’s is sad, or distracted by something or maybe she was struggling to relive her own trauma while writing this? Idk, but, the energy is just, something, trembling..My heart goes to our sweet Sage, I hope you are okay too, and may you’ll find your own peace and happiness too ❤️ given the book dedication, it made me feel like wanna reach out to the author and hug her too..

Anyway, the plot goes on okay, it filled us with everything that’s happened and showed the timeline through it too, aligning with Izzy’s stories a lil bit, but yeah we got all of the answers in this book. I love the ending, thank you for that, and, since I’ve read Izzy’s books too, I bet that what made me calm throughout the thing that happened to Yara at one point, in this book - you know, that kidnapping thingy. I think if I haven’t read Izzy’s books too, my heart must have been pounding and worried about the ending, haha, so yeah, those are good.

There are lots more spicy scenes in this book too, so if you’re a spicy girlies, you might be happy with it. The characters are good, can’t really say it have much more growth in this one, since I think we have what we needed in the previous book, but we got more in depth on D’s character in this second book. Also the backstory of theirs - Yara’s origin family and story.

Overall, it’s such a good and completed second instalment of the duet. Lovely reading.
I always love Sage’s books, and looking forward to see what she have for us next 🖤

This is the brilliant conclusion to both of Sage RelleAnne’s Darkest Desires series and the Duet of Yara’s Darkest Desires set — and what a breathtaking finale it is.

A story that is as raw and emotional as it is beautifully seductive. The characters come alive through their pain, passion, and vulnerability, drawing you deep into their tangled web of love and danger. I adored how real and imperfect they felt — how fiercely they loved, how completely they surrendered.

If you crave a Reverse Harem romance filled with protective, possessive men, emotional turmoil, and an ever-present sense of danger that keeps your pulse racing, this book delivers all of that and more. The dark stalker thread adds that perfect edge of dread and tension, heightening every emotional and sensual moment.

Please do check the author’s trigger listings first — this story doesn’t shy away from intensity and can truly test your emotional strength. But knowing that a happily ever after awaited made the journey even more powerful for me. It’s that rare blend of heartbreak, healing, and heat that leaves you both wrecked and blissfully satisfied.

A stunning and unforgettable conclusion to an exquisitely dark and passionate series.

"With you, even now with so many unknowns, I feel happy. For the first time in years."

3.5⭐️ round up to 4 ⭐️ for Goodreads.

This felt like being trapped in the eye of a hurricane with all the different pieces of the story coming together at the same time, different POVs and the weaving of backstory. It was whirlwind fast in such a short novel and some parts felt like they needed a bit more context, or elaboration.

I will say that this part of the story was not for me because of the surprise pregnancy, and it felt like the bad guy just had way too easy of an out. I thought maybe it would end on a cliffhanger and something would happen, the story was tied up nicely.

The climax of the story was about conflict and saving Yara but it was over in a second and it just seemed all too easy. it didn't really feel like the big buildup and secrecy was for anything major unfortunately.

I really appreciated the ending and seeing everyone together and interacting. I wish we heard more about the personalities of the kids and their family life day to day.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Family can be very messy

This is book four in the darkest desires series but it's the second part of Yara's story. You must read Come inside to understand this book but you should also read Izzy as story as they are very connected.

Yara will be finding out all sorts of unexpected things starting with how a vasectomy, condoms, and birth control are not guaranteed to prevent pregnancy. There is also the matter of their being three potential fathers. James the older man who turned out to be her best friend's father and doesn't know about that it the other men. Kazi and Mateo know about everyone but they are still holding secrets.

This is a quick and fast paced story filled with unexpected twists and revelations. This takes a messy family dynamic and complicated it even more. Good thing the people who matter will have your back no matter how crazy things get.

Will these three me be able to get along without jealousy or fighting? Will Yara find her happy ending and finally be safe?

I've loved both Izzy and Yara's stories and their complicated interconnections. I can't wait to see what's next for Darkest Desires.

I devoured the rest of Yara's story like I did the books before this. Make sure that you read Come to Bed, Come Inside, and Come to Head before diving in. They're all connected and won't make a lot of sense otherwise.

Yara still struggles with her past. She struggles with finding beauty within herself. Her trauma really messed with her. But she found men that are willing to help her through it all. And no they are not giving her a choice. They love her and are willing to prove it.

But when she finds out something that was not expected at all she starts to spiral. Her men are there for her but sometimes that isn't enough to help with all the chaos inside your own head. And she has one man she is determined to find and tell.

But her past isn't staying in the past. It's coming back with a vengeance. Her and her best friend's lifes are more intertwined then they thought.

And when she gets taken. Her men will stop at nothing to get her back. Especially when they team up with Izzy's men.

Yara gets her HEA but it's a trip.

Sage Relleanne Has Done It Again!

“Come Alive” absolutely blew me away. I didn’t think it was possible to top Come Inside, but Sage Relleanne said watch me — and she delivered. I devoured this book in one sitting because there was simply no way I was putting it down.

Yara and her three men are back, and the tension, emotion, and spice are all cranked up to eleven 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. The why choose dynamic is still perfection — each man brings out a different side of Yara, and their chemistry practically leaps off the page. Every scene felt charged with longing, love, and that edge of danger that keeps your heart racing.

If you love found family, protective men, touch her and die, grumpy x sunshine, and that delicious why choose chaos that keeps you feral for the next chapter — this book will own your entire soul.

“Come Alive” is passionate, emotional, and scorchingly hot. Sage Relleanne’s writing is addictive — she makes you feel every heartbeat, every gasp, and every ounce of desire. I’m completely obsessed with this series, and I already need the next one yesterday. 🔥💋

Genre: Dark Why-Choose Romance
TW: stalking, violence, sexual trauma, pregnancy, body image issues

Come Alive picks up right where Come Inside left off - Yara is pregnant, and her stalker’s identity has finally been revealed.

This novella was everything I hoped for and more. It perfectly wraps up Yara’s story while showing how far she and her men have come after everything they’ve endured. Their bond feels deeper, their love stronger, and the ending? So satisfying. I love how they learned to work together through all the chaos - it’s sweet, a little dark, and completely addictive.

The HEA honestly made my heart so full. 🥹 I closed the book smiling and already wishing I could read more about their little family.

Thank you Sage Relleanne for this ARC!

Another fun and smutty story from Sage’s universe. Yara’s story is concluded in Come Alive. We first met Yara in Izzy’s story, Come to Bed. (You definitely need to read Come Inside first, and highly recommend you read the Come to Bed duet as well.) The two friends’ stories are intertwined and we get to experience the mysteries unfold further in their individual stories. Yara’s MMCs are instalove and extra murdery, and embrace all Yara’s craziness with unflinching support and devotion. I appreciate that these duets are short yet captivating (no 800 page drawn out angst here, just high-plot high-heat action). This duet is, of course, open door and full of spicy fun—sadly the breeding kink this duet is named after is mild at best throughout.

I believed Yara’s story would be the end of this series, but there is a clear indication that we will get to unravel more of this world with Eve’s interconnected duet in the future, and I can’t wait!

Let me start off by saying this is a dark romance story, meaning dark themes (check the trigger warnings if you have triggers!).

Now on to the good stuff.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book is filled with the spice and heat.

Poor Yara has been put through it. I loved reading her happy ever after. Cause that’s what this book is. Mateo, James, and Kazi check off all of the boxes for a why choose storyline. You have the golden retriever who can kick butt, the one who’s a psycho but her psycho, and the grey fox age gap. Everything they do is because of her.

“. “You fill up every room with an irresistible energy. You are both live-wire and a soothing warmth. A bee.”

This quote should definitely make you want to read it. Cause I love a cuties but unique pet name.

The growth that Yara has from her trauma is a wonderful thing to read about.

The only reason I didn’t go 5 stars is because I did find myself skipping parts of the story (a smexy scene or 2, lol). Definitely worth a re-read!

I'm giving this book 4.5 stars, but it also gets 5 chili peppers for the spice in this book because it is spicy. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it because I just had to know what happened next and if she was going to be okay. I thoroughly both of Yara's books. I'll probably go back and read Izzy's book and then her second one and then Eve's story. I like a good why choose, found family, and broken characters that work on themselves. I don't know if my favorite character is Mateo who is broody, possessive, and ready to murder anyone and everyone who wrongs Yara, Kazi who is protective, but also the voice of reason and also knows exactly what Yara needs at precisely the right time, or James who seems possessive, can get through to Yara and is almost the golden retriever of the group. I'll probably reread these at some point and do another review when I have the full story of all the characters and their men because I enjoyed Yara's, but I don't want to give any spoilers.

Such a great finale to the series! I love the way the timelines between the Yara and Izzy’s stories are parallel so you get the whole picture of what’s happening. This was quite the wild ride for Yara. Pregnant with three possible baby’s fathers is stressful enough but then add in all the shenanigans from a ghost from her past and it was a recipe for disaster. Kazi and Mateo did everything they could to try to keep her safe and then they worked even harder to get her back once she was taken. The romance in this was so beautiful and I loved the insight into Mateo’s character specifically. James had me a little unsure at first but he came around on the idea of having to share Yara with two other men really quickly and I loved seeing it. There’s some really dark stuff that happens in this but everything works out for the best in the end. The spice was extra hot, especially that bit at the end🥵

This is the ending of the Darkest Desires series. FYI, you NEED to read the first three books in order to understand this one. Books 1 and 3 revolve around Izzy and her men and books 2 and 4 are about Yara and her men. It's like a tandem read.

Yara and her three men are back! There is so much tension and heartache (Yara and Izzy's life are more connected to them being just great friends) and you might think "is this going to end well??", but it does *whew*. It made my why choose loving heart so happy 😅. The dynamic between the characters is PERFECT. I do have a favorite, though (I'm sorry, Yara, but I'm looking at Mateo 😏). In true Sage form the spice is scorching hot and each man is special, different, and give Yara what she needs in a different way.

Check your trigger warnings. This story does breeding with pregnancy. And as someone that does not enjoy that trope all the time, I ATE IT UP 😏😏😅

This is the second book of Yara’s story, and it is SO worth reading the first one to get to this sequel. 😍 This duet was my introduction to the writing of Sage RelleAnne, and I will absolutely be coming back to read Izzy’s duet and Eve’s story too!

I love me a good pairing, of course, but there’s just something that hits so right with a why-choose romance - and allll the books in the Darkest Desires universe have such delicious reverse harems. Kazi, Mateo and James are all so good for Yara in different ways, and it was really sweet to see her explore different sides of herself with each man.

Without getting into spoiler territory, I’ll say that this book has a very satisfying ending to the two cliffhangers we were left with in the first book!

This book was a quick, super spicy read, and honestly I think my biggest complaint is that it wasn’t longer! I would’ve spent another hundred pages in this story easily, and I will eagerly be diving back into this world. ❤️

Ugh I'm so sad this book series is ended for Yara and Izzy!!! I honestly really love this book because you get everything. I feel like you should read all the books in one to get all the backstories completely together. But once you do it just makes more sense with everything. Not going to lie this book confused me with the whole father, stepfather, stepsister, adopted sister, etc. But I felt like this was the perfect way to end Yara's book. But now I am 100% having more questions because of that last chapter. Are we going to get another series that connects to this one? Is it going to be about a specific other doll? Because now I need to know what happened, the way that Sage does this makes me just want to know everything. Like always these ones are a fast read even though they're not too long, just the way they're written it's like fast paced so you're always in the action. They're smut, there is drama, there is so much more! I love this book and I love this series.

✨ ARC Review ✨

Firstly, I just want to say a big thank you to the author for allowing me to join the ARC team. I went through and read all four of this series, each book flowed perfectly into the next and I loved exploring this world.

Come Alive was by far my favourite, Yara’s story touched upon areas that some won’t understand but others understand intimately. The way her and her men’s stories are written is so heartbreaking, but perfectly captures how someone can find peace and happiness and even an amazing family on the other side of childhood trauma.

The author has done so well in grabbing a readers attention, and mixing together the sought after smut and the actual plot line of the story.

It’s safe to say that throughout this book and the three others, I laughed, cried and in some moments had my jaw on the damn floor. From start to finish, I enjoyed every second and my only complaint is that it wasn’t a longer series. 😂

♥︎ARC Review♥︎
I jump for joy any time a book of Sage's lands in my inbox. When I finished Yara's first book, Come Inside, I didn't want to wait for this bad boy. But the wait was absolutely WORTH it. Yara suffers from self-depr3cation. It's been a complete struggle for her all because of her sociopathic father. But her men, Mateo, Kazi, and James, help her through it. To see the GOOD and the BEAUTY that lies within her. This book was such a ride for such a short book. God, I didn't want it to end! It was slightly darker than Yara's first book. It was all worth it by the end. That epilog surprise?! My goodness! I CAN'T WAIT for the next one. Like HOW?! WHERE has he been!? Gimme gimme please!! I need Eve's story now!

This finale to Yara’s story was WILD!! But in the best, most chaotic, twisty way! Yara has been through hell and back, and this book throws her right into the middle of all her past and present colliding. Watching her try to navigate the truth, the secrets, and the emotions surrounding three potential fathers had me glued to the pages. Kazi is the sweetest protector, Mateo is unhinged in the most entertaining way😅, and James…oh, poor James. The man did not sign up for this level of emotional damage, but he handles it with such care and devotion. The dynamic between all four of them was messy, complicated, surprisingly tender, and full of the exact kind of chaos I expect from this series.

What I loved most is that Yara finally gets what she deserves—love that’s safe, fierce, and wholly hers.💕 The story is fast-paced, twist-heavy, and so unapologetically smutty. It balances trauma, found family, and absolute mayhem with a ton of heart. If you love why-choose romances with dark edges, sweet moments, and men who would burn the world down for their girl, this duet wraps Yara’s story perfectly!

This is part of two different series: Yara's Darkest Desires Duology and Darkest Desires. I read all the previous books. This was an enjoyable end to the duology and shows the other perspective on scenes from book 3 in Darkest Desires. This was a reverse harem spicy dark romance with mafia ties. It has many possible triggers, so check those warnings. The female characters have had a whole lot of crap in their past and have much in common. The male characters are morally grey and have tough pasts, but the biggest thing they have in common is their devotion to their women. I adore dark romance, and this one is well worth the read. I recommend the series and other books by the author as well.
