What harm could one hot alpha doctor do? It's not like she's looking to fall in love.
Lilah
Searching for my mate has gone poorly, to say the least. That's why I gave up a little over a year ago when my boyfriend scent matched my best friend on a double date.
I'm not looking for an alpha to protect me, provide for me, or do anything for me. I'm making a life for myself, and I'm happy, really.
Everything is working out in my favor until my failure to make sure I have heat suppressants upheaves the nice, isolated life I've made for myself. With no other options, I opt to go to a heat clinic.
One heat. One alpha. What's the worst that could happen?
Scott
A small percentage of alphas still have beasts. He's all of my primal urges combined into one creature that shares a mind with me and sometimes takes over our shared body.
If I was into psychology, I might call him my id, but I'm not. So, I call him Fenrir.
We're controlling and dominating and require complete submission. No matter how well I get Fenrir to behave, not many omegas can handle us.
We take one look at Lilah's patient picture to know she's not any omega. She's our omega. Fenrir has no problem claiming her during her heat. The problem is, she's coming to us for help, not to be bitten and claimed in her most vulnerable state.
First Street Heat is a sweet and steamy standalone MF omegaverse romance set in the Beastverse.
Morgan Robinson writes paranormal and science fiction romances about sweet monsters, usually of the alien variety. Strong, alpha heroes have always been interesting to her, but there needed to be a sweet and caring side as well. So while the heroes of her stories might be gigantic monsters with horns and scales, they're stuffed full of fluff and sweetness. Her novels contain plenty of steam, fluffy romance, and sometimes more than one MMC.
Morgan lives with her husband and her two dogs. When she's not writing about an alien warrior finding true love with a human, she's being carried in video games, reading lots and lots of romance novels, or rewatching classic slasher films.
This was a pretty cute and non-demanding read. Omegaverse with a Jekyll/Hyde twist (some alphas have a ‘beast’ alter ego), which made the story both M/F and MFM!
It started off a bit slow, but I enjoyed how about 80% of the book was wooing — in a sweet way (from Scott the alpha) and a more x-rated way (from Fenrir the beast). 😅🥵
The story didn’t have a big emotional payoff, and was more of a palette cleanser. I’m intrigued by this take on omegaverse though, so I’ll read the next book at some point!
3.5 ⭐️ Better than I expected!! I was kind of put off about the whole beast thing but honestly it was kind of cuteeeee... how f**ked up is that? Dont know, dont care! I might keep reading this series. It sounds good!
Went into this book pretty blind and loved it! I didn’t realize till after that I’ve read several of her other books (her long sci-fi series) and loved those too! This is a perfect compromise for people that like the idea of MFF (or RH) but haven’t really dipped their toes in. We basically have 2 MMC’s here sharing a body. Our alpha is a doctor. Sweet, makes some minor mistakes that are super understandable. His beast/alpha is OTT possessive, protective, dominating🥵, in all the best ways. I love both MF and ménage books so I absolutely loved this! Very sweet, no terrible external conflict. Great book between super dark books! Def recommend and I’ll be reading the rest of the authors back stock!
This book was such a fun spicy read, I loved that it had a slightly different take on the omegaverse as well. It was well written and I loved the characters 🩷
Omega Lilah, a young nurse in training ready to start her career, faces an unexpected heat cycle that sends her into the arms of Scott, a powerful alpha with a rare "Beast" dynamic, a primal side that only a select few alphas possess, named Fenrir. Drawn to each other from the start, their connection is complicated by Scott’s struggle to control his instincts and Lilah’s guarded heart. Through moments of passion, missteps, and revelations, Lilah and Scott’s bond deepens, pushing them to confront their fears and embrace their future together. Hot and steamy omegaverse romance, exploring love, connection, family, friendship, growth, acceptance, and belonging.
This was a cute omegaverse story centering around some poor communication as a result of Scott trying to be noble. Lilah was lonely and closed off from dating after being burned a few times. Scott was all about consent and tried hard to not be an asshole. Fenrir was an asshole, but in a primal doesn’t care about social norms kinda way. It was fun to have Fenrir be another side of Scott. Scott’s family was funny too.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: medically induced coma (for heat), sexual harassment, mild violence
Lilah, the female omega lead, is due for her heat but she’s also working to finish her nursing qualification so she can be an independent omega, not relying on a mate, since her last several partners abandoned her mid-relationship for their newly found scent match. When her best friend (who most recently scent matched with her boyfriend on a double date) encourages her to try a clinic offering “physical stimulation”, she decides to try it.
Scott, the male alpha lead, is one of the small percentage of alphas to have a beast (Fenrir) form/persona as well as the standard alpha. He offers Fenrir as one of the physical stimulation options at his clinic, though it’s rare to find an omega who actually meets Fenrir’s exacting specifications.
When Lilah chooses Scott for her partner for her heat, she recognises him immediately as her scent match but, when he doesn’t act to claim her, she believes herself rejected. Scott wanted to ensure she made a consenting choice, which she couldn’t under the influence of her heat. Now he needs to convince her that he needs and wants her forever; she’s already confident in Fenrir…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, omegaverse romance that appears to commence a new series. I enjoyed Lilah’s independence and that she continued to work for it, even after acknowledging she would accept Scott as her mate. I enjoyed Scott’s consent focus and that he deliberately made a choice that was more difficult for him to ensure Lilah had full and free choice. I enjoyed the contrast between Scott and Fenrir and chuckled at the banter between them, as well as the banter between other characters. I enjoyed the supportive secondary characters. I enjoyed the child-free ending that felt obvious and natural. I enjoyed the world building and set up, and hope the author has planned for more stories in this world.

Lilah has not had much luck finding a mate. So she has given up the search and takes heat suppressants to hold off going into heat and needing a partner. It’s lonely, but she is capable of taking care of herself. At least until she forgets to bring her suppressants with her. The only other alternative when she can’t suppress her heat is to go to a heat clinic and be paired with an alpha to get her through this. The one issue she never considered was pairing with an alpha/beast combination. Apparently a few alphas still have inner beasts and Scott Carter is one of them. His beast Fenrir contains all of his primal urges. They share a mind and Fenrir sometimes takes over their shared body. Because of this, his beast is controlling and domineering and requires complete submission from an omega. No matter how well Scott can get Fenrir to behave, not many omegas will be able to handle being with them. Lilah is curious about what it might be like to be wanted so intensely. Will she take a chance and choose him, despite the warning he includes in his profile about what to expect? And when Scott/Fenrir see a picture of Lilah, both are aware that she is actually “his” specific omega and Fenrir wants to claim her during her heat. Can Scott control his beast if she chooses to go through her heat with him? Will the two find a HEA together? Or was this just a one-time service that won’t be repeated?
Lilah’s love life has been a string of disappointments, so she's thrown herself into building her career as a nurse, determined to build a life on her own terms without depending on an alpha. But when fate forces her hand and she forgets her suppressants, she's left with no choice but to visit a heat clinic, pairing with an alpha to get through her cycle. Enter Scott, a powerful alpha with a rare, beastly side. Drawn to his intensity, Lilah chooses Scott, eager to experience the depth of passion only a beast like him can offer. Scott, however, brings more than just relief. He and his beast, Fenrir, immediately recognize Lilah as their fated mate—but Scott's fierce self-control keeps him from claiming her while she’s vulnerable in her heat. His restraint, though chivalrous, leads to some misunderstandings, adding tension to an already electric connection. Scott’s dual nature brought a refreshing, primal edge to the Omegaverse world, moving closer to shifter-based lore. Watching Scott and Lilah slowly build trust was a rewarding journey. Every step, every misstep, only deepened their connection, making their eventual happy ending all the more satisfying. This story weaves passion and tenderness in a way that makes you root for them from the start, creating a love that’s as heartfelt as it is fiery. I was so excited to dive into this omegaverse story, bc it has been my year of omegaverse reading!! I loved what Morgan brought to the world with Fenrir, I haven’t come across another OV story with an alpha and a beast 🤩 I fell head over heels for both Scott and Fenrir, to have both a cinnamon roll and a dirty talking, posessive beast be 2 people rolled into one man was a dream. Watching Scott/Fenrir with one another while working towards winning over their mate, Lilah, through their battles gave me the warm fuzzies 🥰.

This is an interesting story with a different spin on the other omegas/alphas. It has a clinic that the omegas can visit to help with their heat. When Scott/Fenrir (Fenrir is the beast in Scott's body). There is lots of omega heat and slick and eventually Fenrir gets a chance to have the omega that he mate smelled. Lilah mate smelled her alpha when she stepped into the First Street Heat for help. It's a cute, sweet, heartwarming omegaverse story. Once they get together there is lots and lots of knotting. Enjoyable story.

I would like to add my own little warning to this book. Fenrir had me laughing so hard that several times I almost choked on my own saliva. Lilah is tired of being passed over by Alphas when they find their sent match. When she ignores all signs of going into heat her best friend recommends her to First Street heat Clinic. That is where she's supposed to be assisted to her heat by Scott and his Beast Fenrir. But she ends up rejecting after a misunderstanding. I would also like to say that I absolutely adored Ian and sarah.

This was a fun and hot series opener and I loved the struggles that Scott/Fenrir had with his dual alpha nature. This was a wild concept for me and it really added another dimension to the story. Lilah knew she scent matched Scott, but he didn't realize she did... The steps he took really send them on a journey that neither wanted or needed but it sure let them learn each other. With tons of steam, acceptance, grovelling, taking and giving, this omegaverse romance was engaging and a page turner for me. So fun and I can't wait for the next book to come out :D
Lilah is an omega who has been slighted before by alphas. They keep finding their scent match to other people while dating her! Finally she signs up with a place to go for her heat and chooses an alpha who also has a beast (basically a jekel/hyde situation). Unfortunately, things don't go entirely as planned. But over the next few weeks Scott/Fenrir (alpha/beast) basically stalks and tries to woo her.
It's cute - obviously it revolves more around Fenrir (the beast) than Scott (the man).
Expected this to be a whole lot smuttier, but eh, it was good enough. Also, Fenrir outshined Scott most of the time—like, to the point where Scott became an afterthought. I’d be like, “Oh yeah, forgot he’s there.”
Anyway, the book intrigued me and had me picking it up after reading the blurb. It checked a lot of the stuff I like in a book like found family, so it’s a 4 out of 5 for me.
This had such an interesting world building. I really really enjoyed it. Here is a few things I hadn’t seen: - male omegas - very few alphas with beats - this I had seen but I still enjoyed: MM or FF alpha omega couples
Also, I really like seamlessly strong females. Yes she needed the alpha because she loved him but at the same time she was independent. Went to school, had a job, had her own resources.
I wish the book would have focused on smut a little less and had more of the weird world going on.

loved it !! a great start for a new series !! love Lilah and Scott/Fenrir... this is their story... a fast paced drama... Liliah is going into heat , she forgot to get her suppressants so, it's off to the heat clinic... there she meets Scott the doctor there... he knows she's his omega but, how can he tell her ? so good !!!.

Lilah is in a bit of a pickle - her heat is coming and she isn’t prepared. As a last resort, she books time at a heat clinic with Scott. This books had surprising and unexpected little spins to it that I really enjoyed; Scott was such a respectful sweetie, Fenrir was a complete animal with such a caring side, and Lilah was so strong for all her perceived weaknesses. A fantastic story - hopefully there’s more with the extended family to come!
I absolutely ADORED THIS!!!! At first i was like meh another omegaverse and now im like !!!!! its THE omegaverse!!!! The angst and unnecessary hurt??? SIGN ME UP AGAIN!!!! I adored the factor of the Beast inside Scott and how it was essentially two different beings, i adored how they both treated her very different but loved her all the same. Morgan truly knows how to bring all the heat in all the best ways and I cant wait for the next installment in this series
The way that Scott and Fenrir were so obsessed and possessive with Lilah throughout the entire book had me laughing! His screw around and find out about her was no joke, straight forward like “hey she’s mine, and I’m not above fighting with you if look at her funny”. Their determination to claim her even after the slight rejection was something to see. I admired Lilah’s unwavering commitment to her goal, This book has definitely earned a spot on my “to-be-read-again” list!
Not too long, lovely characters, low angst, no other woman drama. Reminds me of Juliet Cross’s Wold Gone Wild MMC dynamic with his wolf combined with Heat Haven book 1. Definite recommend if you like omegaverse, especially if you like either of those books. M/F Knots Primal-ish internal “beast” Submission play Comfort/harm play
I really hope this author adds further volumes to this series.
got it on SYKD! thanks author! This reminds me so much of another heat clinic story that I loved, this one tho the MMC is different in a way because he is one man but has two person in him (yeah not just personality this time) Scott and fenrir the BEAST, I loved that idea! what I did not like tho hence the 4 stars were Scott seemed like a beta in their dynamic even though he is as much as Alpha as the other, and I hated that he seemed to be an afterthought here.
The first story in the Beastverse,Lilah, a young nurse in training and Scott and Fenrir his beast persona. The well written story is in a duel POV. The storyline held my interest throughout. I enjoyed seeing their story come together and them get a happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a new to me author and what I found interesting there are few alphas with their beast but Scott has one. His beast and Scott realize Lilah is their mate. However she's wanting help no claiming so they're a bit in a pickle. Now this somehow leads to Lilah thinks she's rejected but that is not the case. Good read!
This is a seriously steamy story about Lilah going to the clinic to get help through her heat. I thought it was so hot that I had caught on fire 🔥 This was romance with a twist. I loved the inner monologues that Scott had with Fenrir. They made me laugh. Scott was sweet, whilst Fenrir just followed his base desires. This was a well-written book that kept me heated until the final page.
4⭐️ for vibes. If you’re looking for a paranormal-ish AU romance that is focused mostly on the mating/romance/smut, with some supportive plot to move the story along, this is a great pick!
The spice is explicit, and frequent, but not on the highest levels of spice. I would say medium to medium-high depending on the reader.
This was such a unique Omegaverse book. I loved the beast dual personality of Scott/Fenrir. It was extremely funny at times watching the interactions between the two, along with Scott’s family members. I hope there are more books to come with other alphas and their beasts, as this book was really good.
Fenrir/Scott are highly entertaining, possessive, and 100% alpha. This is a great story with a lot of anticipation and sexual tension leading up to the first intimate act. I can’t wait to read more!
This delivered exactly what the author set out to do. A somehow sweet, consenting, omega and alpha beast read. So, sweet with some heat. I got sucked right in to Lilah and Scott and Fenrir’s story. Recommend.
