What did I just read 🫠😆🫢

Im not one to steer away from a book. Once I start I have to finish and I had to see where this would take me! It was different but pretty good! Lol. I didn't like the overuse of certain words continuously repeating throughout every page, but I got through it
overall this was an interesting discovery.

⭐⭐½ — This was… a lot

I went into this expecting over-the-top monster romance shenanigans, and wow did it deliver on the over-the-top part. Ruby having a long-standing crush on her dad’s minotaur friend already put this on thin ice for me, and unfortunately it never really recovered.

The ranch setting was actually kind of interesting, and I didn’t hate Ruby enjoying the slower life or dreaming about family—but once the plot kicked into gear, it leaned hard into shock value over story or character development. The chemistry felt more like instant obsession than a believable progression, and the power dynamics were… uncomfortable at best.

I also struggled with how quickly everything escalated without much emotional grounding. There was very little exploration of consequences, boundaries, or even genuine relationship building beyond the kink-forward elements. By the time the “what happens when her father finds out?” question came up, I realized I didn’t actually care enough to find out.

Not unreadable, not the worst thing I’ve ever read—but definitely more “what did I just read?” than “wow, that was good.” This one just wasn’t for me

This was just not it for me. Normally I love Minotaurs and can get into the milking thing, but this wasn’t what I like.
You can actually forget that Stag is a Minotaur. There’s not enough description to remind you that he’s a monster. And the “milking” is just him suckling her milk out of her when they have spicy time. The descriptions are also written almost in the way a male would write things. I don’t know how else to say it. This was a quick read but not for me.

If you're looking for an unserious spicy novella with a daddy kink, milking kink and preggo kink, look no further!

The writing and dialogue is very reminiscent of AO3 PWP style so it can be quite cringy here and there. But again, we're not taking anything seriously. Just a smutty, for-laughs, quick read.

Too many typos

This book really REALLY needs an edit. There's so many typos it's hard to read. The writing is ok, it feels like a man wrote it or at the very least written with men in mind.

Weird… but strangely good?

Having just finished this novella, I’m still wondering wtf did I just read?

It was equal parts hot and hilarious, definitely recommend if you enjoy a breeding kink and/or monster smut.

I usually love Jade’s books - but this one had so many typos, it was hard to really focus on the story.
