Such a Naughty Girl is a short, one-handed holiday read. It features some of my favorite kinks and had a new take on temperature play! I didn’t connect with the main characters as well as I had hoped. The story will scratch an itch if you’re looking for a steamy Christmas story.

This book was ridiculous. Dubcon, age gap, trading sexual favors for food and shelter.

Izzy finds herself stranded during a snowstorm and finds Emmett’s cabin. In order to be allowed inside for warmth, he demands she give him a handjob. The book progresses like that. Eventually they fall for each other but Izzy’s father takes her back home. Emmett promises that he will decorate for Christmas the next year if she came to see him again.

One year later, he did decorate. She came to him late that night. In their one year separation he stayed celibate while she whored around.

I did NOT like this book. It wasn’t sexy. It wasn’t hot. The sex scenes read like I was reading the dictionary. And the fact that she slept with others while still having feelings for him? Gross.

Oh crap you want it short and spicy with its so wrong it’s hitting everything right? Wow wasn’t expecting that, but story of course opens up with an older bitter man that decides to live out in woods after horrible divorce and almost working himself to death. Along comes college Izzy that is a virgin because father wanted her pure, zero life experience. Now the start was a little messed up, dubcon for sure but sooo wrong but so OMG yes what?! And the encounter later in book- had me laughing going oh yeah. Loved!

First time reading this author and I think I found my newest favorite smut author❤️❤️
I’ve already downloaded another book and I’m excited and hoping it’s as 🌶️spicy🌶️ as Naughty Girl🥵🥵

I don’t usually mention TW but I do want to note a few in this case (mostly spoiler-free but a few things I would want to know…):

Be sure to read to foreword/ Content Note because this author explains she is from Scotland, and despite it taking place in the USA, she uses British English. Honestly I hardly noticed but it’s good to keep in mind while reading because I’ve read plenty of authors without the ‘warning’ and it can definitely get confusing at times.

CW / TW:
This book definitely felt very much NON-CON (unequal power dynamic) for a lot of the book and unfortunately the MMC presents as a pretty skeevy, creepy old-man a$$hole for majority of the book. Does that mean you won’t like it? Maybe… but just as the FMC broke through his rough outer shell and fell in love with the man underneath, I did too.

Additionally, he might be her OTL but there’s a long separation (while she’s with OM, but no details).
I don’t usually like that (separation/ OM), but it was done so well in this book, I really didn’t mind and it just felt realistic- plus it confirmed he was her OTL (since she was so young when they first met and she had never dated). It also allowed her to step away and think about everything and come back on equal footing, without the high-pressured uneven power-dynamic. Otherwise it would have made me question if their feelings were genuine and not just situational or because she never dated anyone else.

Minus 1⭐️ for his initial jerk face creepy non-con factor (with no remorse)
and minus 1⭐️ for long separation/ OM.

Okay, if you've been following me for a while you know that I'm basically a wh0r3 for anything Effie writes. Woman could get me on my knees for a cookie (iykyk) quite literally. The first Hot Creeps novella with Bobby had me questioning myself and had unlocked new kinks I didn't even know existed. This second one with Emmet??? Ooooph.

Emmet is so sweet in the end with Izzy. Giving her the best Christmas he can at the moment and the way he pines for her when she's gone? Ugh...sweet creep.

Effie's spice is always *chefs kiss* but with these novellas she's still able to layer in a plot that keeps you reading for more than just coffee and breakfast (again, iykyk). This one I really enjoyed more than the first (which I still loved) because I've always had a thing for age gap and lumberjacks. It's a quick read and it made me wish it was a full-length.

So normally, I am not the biggest fan of dual style audiobook narrations, I just don’t like it when a male is trying to read both his lines and the females lines and vice versa with the female trying to read her lines and the male lines. I just never really like it. I know there are certain audiobook narrators who can do a very good job doing both, and those are generally, the duel style narrators I prefer, but with such a naughty girl, the narrators do a very good job doing both the male and female voices when it is their respected chapters. This is the second book in Effie Campbell’s hot creep series. I have read book 5 previously, for one of her teams, so that was kind of what got me into the series, and so when I saw that the series was getting turned into audiobooks, I really want to listen to them and such a naughty girl did not disappoint. It focuses around Izzy who gets stranded in a snowstorm and is forced to take refuge with our MMC Elliott, who has basically gone off the grid. He has lived out in the woods for the past three years. He has basically cut off the society and just wants to live out his days in peace with his dog chum. Right from the get-go as soon as Izzy enters Elliott‘s life the tension is there and we are just building up to the spice and once we get to the spice, Effie does not disappoint once we get to the spice the book is spicing. If you are looking for something that’s just like a quick read and or listen, the Hot creeps series is something that you should definitely check out. It is going to end up being a six book series, you start your journey with such a good girl, then such a naughty girl, such a filthy girl, such a sweet girl, such a bad girl and finally such a dirty girl! All these books are worth it they are quick, and They are spicy and they are just a fun time to read!!

Such a Naughty Girl by Effie Campbell is the perfect Christmas novella for 2024. It has an older, grumpy, lumbersnack and an innocent college girl who get snowed in. If you’re looking for a new Daddy, look no further.
Izzy being the good little daughter is driving home to see her family for Christmas. However, Mother Nature has other plans and stops Izzy’s car in a snowbank on the side of the road. Freezing and desperate she happens upon Emmett’s isolated cabin. Emmett lets her stay with him in exchange for different sexual favors. During their trip together, Izzy realizes that being prim and proper and everything her father wants is not what she wants. She now has a new Daddy who shows her everything she’s been missing along with some sweet treats. Now this story couldn’t belong in Effie’s Hot Creeps series without Emmett following some of his creepy desires towards the end of the book.
My favorite thing about this was that Emmett knew he was a grouch and not really suited for society and never shied away from it. He reeled some of it in to keep Izzy safe but otherwise he was who he said was. I also liked the “saved from wolves scene” that was very Beauty, and the Beast coded.
My least favorite thing about this was the fact that Izzy listened to her dad and stayed away. I know I would not have had that kind of restraint.
4 out of 5 stars. A very quick and enjoyable read for sure! Especially the icy chase scenes. If you know, you know.

Um basically her “daddy”wanted her to be a virgin and do this purity thing. Lowkey made me wonder if she was from Texas . Anyway while on her way from college to see her family for Christmas she gets stranded in the middle of nowhere which is basically near Emmett’s home .

Omg also Emmett calls her princess and sometimes dirty girl and she calls him daddy. Not to be confused with her dad who she also calls daddy . Anyways princess always makes me swoon

This book is not for those who don’t want to read a book where the fmc meets a creep . For me in reality I’d nor wanna be near Emmett but since hes fictional it’s okay .

I am so torn between a 2.75 and a 3 star and still after thinking on it for hours I still am unsure what to rate this but I think i'm going to go with a 2.75 stars, I finished this last night and while I was mostly entertained throughout this book there was a lot that I just didn't like in this book, I didn't really vibe with the FMC she just felt way to annoying to me personally, I didn't connect with the mmc either and I couldn't connect to their relationship until basically the end, this was mostly entertaining I suppose so 2.75 stars, I definitely didn't enjoy this one as much as the first book but it was still okay.

Didn’t actually finish this because FMC has the same name and nickname as someone I know. Made it really weird because the MMC kept saying her nickname 🥲 but also couldn’t finish it because the FMC acted like a child through and through.
