Who would have thought that the one week training your uncle forced you to attend so you can run the company, would lead you to the girl of your dreams. Nixon walked into that hotel to check in and was not only mesmerized and in awe, but he was SPEECHLESS. Nixon didn’t say anything for a few mins despite Cherish asking him, “how could she help him.” When he responded it was up from there.
The crazy thing is exactly how Nixon was feeling, Cherish was feeling the exact same way in regard to him. I gotta fast forward a little bit, to when Nixon told Cherish to meet him on the beach at 10pm. Y’all the ish that went down on that beach was NASTY and I loved it. Let’s just say from that night and going forward. Cherish and Nixon couldn’t get enough of each other in every sense.
How Cherish ex fiance and ex best friend end up at the same hotel she’s currently working at only God knows. All I can say is Nixon was not playing with either of them and set them straight IMMEDIATELY. Then we think things are fine and here comes her nasty ssa boss chyyyyy, then to add more to everything else Delulu Ami takes her behind to St. Lucia thinking that her and Nixon gon be together.
I don’t know how many times and how many ways Nixon needed to tell her they would never be together BUT ummm she took her butt across the world to get her feelings hurt. Welp! The way Nixon didn’t play with anyone when it came to Cherish was it for me. That man was soft for Cherish and Cherish alone. This was such a cute story, it had its drama but the love was the biggest surprise.
See....if the author would've just left this as a cute strangers to lovers erotic short then it would've been good. However, when she threw in the drama from all the delusional exes that's where she started losing me. Between Cherish's ex fiance and former best friend who betrayed her by getting together behind her back but then being delusional enough to think she'd still wants to talk to them so they never leave her alone, Nixon's psychotic ass fuck buddy Ami, who refused to accept he wasn't interested in a relationship with her so she started stalking him and also enlisted help from her cousin who works at the resort so she could have access to his room, the opps getting chapters of their own nobody asked for or was interested in, the completely random part close to the end where her dad gets into a bad car accident and Nixon dropping bodies out of nowhere this book was all over the place.
The story is 125 pages and all this is going on. I wanted a short erotic novella about two strangers meeting, giving into their chemistry and then developing feelings. While we did get that, we also got unnecessary Lifetime thriller movie twists. Add on the overuse of the word anyway like the characters were teens instead of grown adults incapable of expanding their vocabulary and the book fell apart completely for me.
I loved the immediate connection between Nixon and Cherish. That chemistry was doin’ its thang, and their hearts were falling fast, making them almost inseparable. However, the drama with Ami and Marcus just blew me, cause why???? 👀😤 Any who, decent read.
When Nixon saw Cherish he had to have her. There was no denying a man like Nixon, Cherish found that out the hard way. Back home Cherish had her own set of problems. Catching her fiance and her best friend together. Then they pop up at the resort together. Marcus thought Cherish was going to be extra friendly to him and Whitney. Marcus called himself going off on Cherish and that's where Nixon steps in. Really he just wanted to be her man while he was there and get to know her. Ami crazy and delusional self. She doesn't know when to stop and let go. Nixon told her, he doesn't want her and she was the cause of getting her cousin killed. I don't believe Whitney was ever pregnant. Nixon was really Cherish knight in shining armor. He was everything she wanted in a man. He got his family, he and his uncle got out of the drug game.
Really good read… when Nixon saw Cherish , it was all over . No one else mattered and it was the same thing for Cherish. One night was all it took. Ami was totally crazy crazy, like how are you a psychologist but you need the one who need help. And then she’s kill’s herself because he doesn’t want her. He told her plenty of times that she wasn’t for him. Her cousin Ron played right along with him and he got what he deserved…
Marcus and Whitney had a lot of nerve with their trifling asses. Like why would Cherish give him another chance to even be in her space. Then Whitney wants to be friends again… Girl bye.. says like she wants whatever Cherish had..
Glad they had a good ending ,

Cherish and Nixon is the true definition of love at first sight. It really shows a man will change for who he really wants and love. Cherish showed that man what love and a good woman with beauty and brains is.
Ami bitch you got on my nerves talking about leave with you gurl your ass left this earth alone without this man lol jokes on you and Marcus u can kiss my black ass I'm glad u got what you deserve all that talk and bark and no bite bitch ass.
All on all I love this book , I would definitely recommend it, and i will be spinning the block on this one.byyeee
Good introduction to this author. Nixon is traveling to St. Lucia for a leadership conference and is immediately attracted to the manager of the resort, Cherish. The two start off with a simple invite to meet at the beach after Cherish is done work. From there the instant attraction grows. Their exes manage to show up and Cherish and Nixon handle them with precision. Love how he was willing to stand up for her and protect her without hesitation. Also loved that Cherish was not a push over, but also was caring when she needed to be.
This book was everything!!! Another well written masterpiece by my girl Khemistri. Nixon was about that life Cherish was just the sweetest and deserved all the good things. But let me tell you what took me out, Ami! The way she wrote that character was incredible! The one thing I love about her books is you goin get all these feelings, the main and side characters are goin to show out every time!
Nixon jump off just didn't get it when a man says he doesn't want you trust he means it so I that means she killed herself crazy now her cousin dead too.
I kinda knew Marcus was going to get himself killed too he was not no thug And Whitney please stop Doesn't want to be your friend no never again.
I'm so happy they gotten there happy ending was each other.
DNF'd at 48% I am sooooo bumbed by the fact that I didn't love this book. And honestly I pushed through as long as I did because I LOVE THIS COVER!! I had issues with the writing style from page one but I really just wanted to find something to love about this. But it just didn't work for me. I'm in my DNF era and honestly I gave this book much longer than I should of. But you win some and you lose some and this one was not a win for me!
I really enjoyed the characters (Nixon, Cherish, Ami, Marcus, Ron and Whitney). The author really brought them to life. I feel that it ended abruptly and a sequel is needed. I feel as if Nixon’s crimes should come back to hunt him and is Ami really gone or is she sleeping? It really never said she was gone. Overall it was a nice, fast paced and quick read.

It’s going to always be the instant connection for me. They both just knew at first sight. People really are delusional out here, and it’s scary 🤦🏽♀️. This was such a great read though!!
My man my man MY MAN!! Nixon was on point the entire time. He eas in demon time from the rip. Cherish was a sweetie pie. Marcus was .. well let's not go there. Anyway Nixon.... no words to explain but he will live rent free in my head.
A true- Love at first sight! I loved this book! I loved how Cherish wasn’t easily persuaded! When Nixon said something she trusted his judgement! Nixon, was like i don’t have to lie about anything! I enjoyed their connection and overall how this ended!
I was in a reading slump ready to give up then I came across this book and I'm glad I did. It was short read but it was good.. I love everything about Nixon and cherish 🥰🥰🥰
This book was all over the place. From the bs with the delusional ex fiancé and ex bff, to the pop up of the even more insanely delusional ex f*ck buddy Ami, to the chapters in all three of their POVs that no one wanted, needed, or asked for. The whole thing with her dad was random, Whitney just disappeared lol good riddance I guess, and the ending was abrupt. No wrap up or HEA or anything.. This just wasn’t it for me. The one star was for the spice.
I liked the characters. I didn’t love it only being set at the resort and a week time span. But it was a short quick read so it would’ve been jumpy if it wasn’t written this way.
