DNF at 64%
this was horrible! i thought this would be a bully romance or something like that, but no! there was no angst, there was nothing.
the author is 'tell not show' kind of author, so when the characters say they're falling for each other, you wonder why they feel like that, because all you've seen is them going to 3rd base!

10 out of 10!!!!!! Once again my girl coming in with some of the best writing ever!!!!! I will be recommending this book to everyone!!!! I loved me some Chase from the beginning!!!! Thank you Landry for this amazing masterpiece I swear just when I think your books can’t top the last you prove me wrong!

Landry Hill has done it again! What a fantastic book, with fantastic characters. It had me hooked from page one. The main characters just belong together, and the story takes you on one hell of a ride. I highly recommend this book and her entire library of great reads.

I LOVE these two!
I was patiently waiting for their story, and it did not disappoint.

I adored Ruby, she’s such a relatable fmc. Her and Presley’s friendship is so beautiful to read about! I also really love Chase. His growth in this book was fantastic.
The plot was great. It was fast paced and had hot spice. I love this author and this couple has to be a favorite of mine!
If you want a sweet and spicy opposite attracts romance..pick this one up! ♡︎

Another 5⭐️ read from Landry! I loved getting Ruby and Chase’s story! I loved seeing Ruby come out of her shell and seeing her side of the story. Seeing the “outcast” win is always fun! I really hope we eventually get Baylor and Ryeson’s story too!

Argumento:
Un reto puede cambiarlo todo. Para bien. Y… para mal.
Ruby era la perdedora. La reclusa. La chica de ropa holgada y gafas enormes, rezando para pasar desapercibida. Rezando para pasar un día sin que se metan con ella. Está contando las horas hasta la graduación. Contando los segundos hasta que sea libre.
Pero cuando de repente la invitan a la fiesta de Chase Warren, todo cambia.
Era un juego simple. Un pequeño reto tonto. Pero un giro de la botella, y todo su mundo se ha salido de control. Ahora, el chico del que está enamorada desde primer grado está decidido a perseguirla. Ella sabe que es demasiado bueno para ser verdad. Y cuando finalmente la atrapa, se da cuenta de que debería haber corrido más rápido.
Mi humilde opinión:
Romance secundaria-universidad, polos opuestos, nerd-jugador de fútbol, atracción instantánea.
Ruby es la chica tímida que ama las matemáticas y se viste con ropa holgada, es victima de bullyng en la escuela desde siempre hasta que en el ultimo año se hace amiga de la chica nueva que la hace salir de su zona de confort y tener mas auto confianza. Lo mas sorprendente es que el chico del que tiene un enamoramiento se fija de pronto en ella y quiere que sea su novia? Las dudas la hacen dudar de que sea verdad pero él esta empeñado en demostrarle que realmente la ve y es la chica mas sexy y hermosa…
Me gustó conocer el punto de vista de Ruby cuando ella conoce a Presley y no lo mencione en el primer libro pero me gusta la amistad que surge entre ellas. De nuevo se toca el tema del bullyng que con ayuda de sus nuevo amigos Ruby consigue superarlo. Me hubiera gustado que me muestre su superación mas que me cuente que pasaron cuatro meses donde ella le quita la corona de reina a su acosadora el día de la graduación.
Perdón pero Chase me pareció un idiota muchas veces, tuvo comentarios que me molestaron y no me gustó la mentira del final, se lo perdono rápido además. Cómo Chase no se dio cuenta que la ex novia le hacia bullyng a Ruby en la escuela? Como nadie nunca noto nada si se juntaban con ella? Esto me sorprende de nuevo, primero con Kyler y ahora con Chase. Y cómo es que terminaban con chicas tan superficiales? hubo un alma inteligente que dijo una verdad y fue Ryeson (quien aparentemente le gustaba su mejor amigo y sucedió algo en el gimnasio? Lo dejaron en suspenso) este les dijo que deberían dejar el perder el tiempo con ese tipo de chicas.
En fin, es otra historia corta con el drama de la escuela, dulce, exagerada y sexy pero la verdad me gustó un poco mas la anterior.

I didn’t like H at all! This book is the plot of every teen movie that’s been made before
(Possible spoilers ahead) everything about H annoyed me. He is the popular guy dating the mean popular girl (OW)
OW has made h’s life hell since 1st grade all the way to 12th. h is the nerdy, curvy, smart girl that everybody ignores except OW when she’s bullying her.
A new girl starts school. She’s beautiful. H decides he’s had enough of OW because she’s not good in bed and her oral isn’t that great either. He wants to ask out new girl. His BFF is like “nope, new girl is mine”
New girl sits with h in the cafeteria and they become friends. She talks her into coming to a party with her. Ofc, new girl has to “dress up” h by changing the whole way she looks. H ends up having to kiss h during spin the bottle. She dry humps him and releases on his clothes 🙃🙃 It’s the hottest moment of his life and he’s in InstaLove. They end up doing some oral for a few times, then smex. h wins prom queen after H ices OW out at school with everyone.
Then we get a time jump. H and h are in college but in different states. They talk everyday and are in love. H is trying to join a frat. The frat makes him go on a date with another girl. H doesn’t tell h. Naturally when she finds out that causes a mild 3rd act breakup, of sorts. He surprises her by showing up at her school to tell her he’s transferring to her school.

This was a big whole story inside a little novella. I liked this one very much! I fell in love with Chase and Ruby. Ruby was the recluse, shy girl that other students thought was a loser. But she was really a gorgeous girl with a rockin' figure hiding behind baggy clothes. She becomes friends with the beautiful new girl in school, Presley, and other people start to notice her. She can't believe it when she catches the eye of Chase, the hot jock football player. Ruby has trust issues and can't believe that a guy like Chase, her forever crush, could actually be interested in her. I love how the characters of Landry's books are interconnected with her other books. We first met Chase and Ruby in His Brave Girl, Presley and Kyler's story. It was really great to see first hand what was happening behind the scenes with them in His Brave Girl, as they were the stars of this book. Can't wait to read the next story in the series.

When she finds a true friend in Presley and attracts the eye of Chase, life starts to change for Ruby. Things get…steamy. In his sections of this dual POV, Chase’s descriptions of Ruby will melt you; he sees her and loves her exactly as she is.
“Her glasses are cockeyed, making her look so f*cking cute...I can’t stop noticing her. All the little things. The way she tucks her head down behind her hair when she’s nervous...”
Before long, we watch Ruby and Chase navigate life in college as their love blooms, and we get the ultimate prologue HEA as well.

This is another example of how talented Landry Hill is! This is one hot read including an epic story of the underdog winning. I love how her characters all have such dimension. Hot fast read
Fast hot read without a lot of other girl or guy angst. Straight to the he’s hot and obsessed with her bc she is HIS! Great romance writing. Strong lead characters and support characters. Wonderfully hot s3x scenes. Sweet HEA ends. Both pov, present tense, first person.

I couldn't wait for this book after reading parts of their stories in Matt and Siennas story and Presley and Kylers story.
What poor Ruby went through was heartbreaking. Im not sure if I would've believed Chase after the frat incident, but I'm glad they got their HEA!

I enjoyed this, following the cameo/introduction in the first book. I like the progression of events and the long distance relationship was good.

Oh my God, this book sucked
like I didn’t even finish the last 20 pages it sucks so hard. I really enjoyed the first one. It was juvenile, but I was trying to push through but this one like minimal spice it’s G rated and then it’s super dumb like just do better.
