Sometimes I Think of You

Rate this book
Max Crestfield is the first person Alena Rogers has ever met that doesn't see her as one of the famous Alphabet Babies. Being a sextuplet is both the most wonderful and the most difficult part of her life.

For a little while when Alena meets Max she gets to leave that hard part of her life behind and just be a girl falling in love with a boy.
When Alena's lies catch up to her there's nothing she can say that will salvage her summer romance.

Originally I was going to give up on this book but I'm happy I didn't because I really enjoyed it. The romance between Alena and Max was sweet and I was rooting for them to work through their problems. What I really loved though was The Alphabet Babies. The entire family fascinated me. I genuinely hope T.J. Dell writes more about them. ....maybe Fiona and Owen next?

I was really intrigued by the idea of sextuplets, and following all of their stories as they find love. I love interconnected stories and think it is a brilliant idea for a series.

Wanting to find her own identity, Alena decides to go to a different college to her siblings.

There is mystery and suspense, and of course, romance.

I look forward to reading more of the 'alphabet' babies.

Sometimes I Think of You was a really sweet story. Alena is part of the famous sextuplets. While she loves her brothers and sisters (they also have a younger brother), she also likes her alone time. It doesn't seem like the others are bothered by the fame or always being together or anything like she is. She doesn't always like everyone knowing who she is from tv and whatnot. She doesn't love when people recognize her on the street and ask for photos and think they know her life and everything. It gets to be a bit too much for her, and she also likes some alone time without her siblings. When she meets Max she likes that he doesn't know her. She wants to keep him to herself for a little bit. She knows there is something special there with Max and she doesn't want her siblings to ruin it.

Max has trust issues. His biological dad lied to his mom and then left them both when he was younger. He still remembers this and can't tolerate anyone being untruthful. He makes some assumptions about Alena from what little she tells him that end up being wrong. Then when her sort of ex shows up Max just shuts down. I know Alena should have called Jared earlier and made 100% sure he knew they were broken up and whatnot, but I don't think it would have really changed anything. Jared went crazy so he still would have shown up all that is my girlfriend! and Max would have been upset.

So Max immediately leaves and Alena is sad and alone. Even though they only spent a few days together there was something there. When she goes to send in her college acceptance, she feels a little trapped going to the same school as her siblings. Her parents also bought a house for everyone to live in, but Alena wants something new. She wants to learn to be independent. She doesn't want to live and breathe with her siblings anymore. So she ends up at Max's school instead.

Of course Max won't really listen to Alena. Good thing she needs a tutor and he is the one assigned to her. You can see how they still have a connection even though Max doesn't want it. It was a great story. It seemed realistic to me. Alena never really gave up on Max, she never really moved on from him. I know she had issues with Jared and sure, she probably should have talked to campus police or something but I am not sure how much they would have actually done. I was always lead to believe that it is hard for the police to do anything to stalkers until the stalker actually harms someone. Also I can see where Alena wouldn't think it was that big of a deal. She had friends walking with her to and from everything and she can ignore his phone calls. I probably would have done the same in her situation when I first got to college. So it was realistic for me. Of course eventually everything works out and it is just so cute. I really enjoyed this story. I liked Alena and Max and I loved them together. I can't wait to read more from this author.

3.5 -4 stars to "Sometimes I Think About You"..... I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I loved this book, it was charming, endearing, and it had a plot line that was unique to me. I enjoyed getting to know a couple of the "Alphabet Babies". So why the 3.5 - 4 stars?? SPOILER ALERT*****

I do not like to assume things, however the title of this book is a complete irony to a plot line of dangerous stalking (resulting in the discovery of an individual that truly has a mental health illness), that could have killed someone. There is far more to this book, than just a crazy ex-high school boyfriend. Which is why I did love it. However, in every aspect of Lainie's life she cannot escape that she is surrounded by people that love and ace about her. She has an identical twin. They share a unique and special bond. She is part of sextuplets, they all have a unique and special bond. Someone is always going to be looking out for her.
I did find the story of Max and Lainie very romantic. It made my heart melt, I felt sad at times, I giggled, I was really able to feel with these characters which is something I love to be able to do. The ability to feel the characters is not something every author can do, but T.J. Dell did. She was eloquent and the words flowed so smoothly, it felt like I was Lainie.
Thank you so much for he opportunity to review this book. I look forward to reading more about the "Alphabet Babies".

I thought this was a really easy read and a nice love story with plenty of conflict thrown in and an underlying very serious topic of stalking (which I think wasn't taken seriously enough in the story actually). I liked the idea behind Lainie being one of a set of sextuplets and how even though she loves her brothers and sisters so much, she is just craving some alone time and individuality for once in her life. She goes off to college and tries to find that while also trying to figure out things with her summer fling, Max. I think that Max was super stubborn and honestly don't think Lainies white lies were anything major enough to cause such a riff in their relationship. I also think that the stalking issue with Lainie's ex should have been addressed a lot more seriously in the story and that would have bumped it up to 4 stars for me. With that being said, I really liked the rapport between all of the siblings and think there is potential to create other books around some of the others.

a nice sweet read that will leave a smile on your face.
I enjoyed the story loved the whole sextuplets, my favourite was Brandon and fi I really hope the author continues with the rest of the gang as we need more on Fiona and Owen, lots more.
I liked how it had a twist in the form of mentally ill Jared. I hope we see more of drew maybe he could be with one with one of alenas sisters.
Madison was great really enjoyed her but I think Fiona stole this story with her take no crap attitude towards Amy and the bond between the twins where with one look she knew exactly what was going through alena mind and straight away ran to help her.
I liked max although I understand he has trust issues I found him quiet nasty towards alena sometimes and yes she lied but she didn't deserve to be treated like that glad he finally came to his sense.
If this does become a series of stories on the sextuplets count me in to read :) a good first book in the Rogers family.

I was provided with a copy of this book to provide an honest review.

This was a nice easy read, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would def read others in the series! The series follow Alena who is one of the somewhat famous sextuplets, but for once she would just like to be as herself. She happens to run into Max at her family's lake house, sparks fly even though she has just broke up with her boyfriend, well she thinks she has! Max doesn't realised who she is and Alena doesn't feel the need to correct him until all her lies catch up with her, possibly losing someone that she could have had something special with.

Let's just say this isn't the only encounter between max and Alena and some of their interactions are a really quite funny! I don't wanna say too much and give away the story, but would highly recommend this book if you are looking for something nice and easy to read. The characters are well written and I would love to hear more about each of the sixes!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was definitely a 3-3.5 star read. It is a perfect beginners romance. Great for an older teen or someone new to romance. It doesn't get super smutty, but it is truly a sweet tale of a crush, with all of the first love angst that goes along with a young relationship. Alena and Max are a sweet couple, but Fiona was my favorite character. Hopefully, she will get her own book down the line. The couple experiences everything from trivial fights to an obsessed ex boyfriend and while it does give a brief glimpse of a dark situation, it doesn't delve very deep in it. If it had went a little further down that route, this would've definitely been a 4-4.5 star read. Still, a very good read that I would recommend, especially to a younger audience.

This was an interesting premise- The Alphabet babies are 5 girl 1 boy sextuplets and they have one younger brother. This is the story of Alena the first born sextuplet. She craves some individuality from the siblings she loves so much. They are off to college and starting to grow up. This had a bit of suspense and romance I will be looking for more from this author especially about the other kids.

This was a pleasant and sweet read. I loved the family dynamic of raising seven children in one house hold. Loved the way each one of the "alphabet babies" had their one personality and little quirks. I totally understood Alenas need for some alone time. Max was a litter hard for me to like but redeemed himself in the end. Would love to hear more from this quirky bunch!!!

I received this book in return for an honest review.

This was a sweet, cute read. The story kept me interested enough to finish it in 1 sitting. Went to bed at 2am, but worth it. I think all of the characters in this book have the potential of having their own book! There is so much more we can read and learn about them. Hope we see this series expand into several other books.

I'm going to look for more books in this series.

This one is about the oldest of the sextuplets, and I enjoyed the story and the characters. I'm looking forward to reading about the other siblings. This is the first book I've read by T.J. Dell. The writing is very good, and it was a fun read.

Read and Review from the author.
SITOY was a really sweet story! Although a little juvenile and not angsty enough for my tastes it was still a really good quick read :) thank you T.J Dell for gifting me STITOY and am looking forward to the next in the series!
