BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! A loud, pounding on the door. Ivan startles; nearly falls off the couch.
"Open the fucking door Ivan! I know you're home!
Why aren't you at work?!
Open the fucking door!"
Ivan unlocks the dead bolt; opens the door.
"I missed you last night."
Tatiana "Why do you sound funny?"
She's still drunk.
"What do you mean?"
"You sound like your accent has changed. Like a German, or some Euro-trash foreigner trying to speak Russian."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Her all contorted from alcohol; facial thick and dark.
"You been jerking-off to Swedish porn-stars again?
Is that why your accent's changed?"
She laughs.
If she only knew.
"You should just move to Sweden. You think about them enough."
Ivan smiles.
"Who knows?
Maybe I'll move there, get a job at a university; live there a few decades?"
