A long awaited peace has settled between vampires and Lycans, but Caroline is horrified when wolves move into her home.
With just one glance, Castien realized Caroline was destined to be his, but she is determined to escape her home’s new residents, including him. When she tries to flee, she finds herself stolen from her bed, and locked in a cabin with the one man she can’t seem to stay away from.
This wolf wants her for his own, and as much as she hates him, he makes her feel things she never thought possible. As she fights her growing feelings, she can either surrender to everything Castien has to offer, or lose the future she’s always wanted.
This story is a novella with a fast growing relationship. If you want a book with plot, it’s not this one. If you want an intense short read with high heat, please keep reading.
This novella has an 18+ warning and is intended for mature audiences. This is a DARK romance, and may contain scenes that aren’t your thing. Please read responsibly.
This novella offers a quick read that keeps things interesting, though it's more focused on spice than plot. Caroline’s reluctance to immediately fall for Castien is refreshing, but her treatment of him is extremely frustrating at times. The novella’s engaging nature makes you wish it were a full-length book, as the story and characters feel deserving of more exploration. However, if you're after a complex plot, this might not be for you, as the focus is definitely more on the chemistry between the leads.
Tropes Include: Fated Mates Enemies to Lovers Vampires & Lycans Dub Con
He’s a vaewolf (half vampire, half wolf) and she’s a vampire. She hates lycans as they killer her best friend. Her queen has formed a truce with the lycans , one of her husbands is a lycan.
Castien comes to their town and immediately recognises her as his mate. She hates him as she does all Lucans lycans. She decides to move away but he kidnaps her to try make her love him. They get down to some hot, passionate sex for a few days until the queen tracks them down and takes her back.
But she realises she’s in love with him and always has been.
Well, there was some serious dubcon in this book. I was willing to get past it and, you know, forget reality and go with the flow; it might have even been a three-star book. But then the L-bomb was dropped, and it ruined it for me. They knew each other for like four days, and I'm willing to suspend disbelief because it's fantasy, but with the dubcon, it just wasn't right for me. Later, there's a delay, but I wish the L-word had been delayed, too. It would have improved the emotional impact. So yeah, I don't think I'd read more from this author.
Quick yet good read. We’ve got the insta-lust coupled with the denial fight, and I enjoyed the read! My only wish was that it was a full-length, more in-depth novel! I enjoyed Caroline and Castien to the point where I want to see them grow in a longer story.
It was so good to see Lisbeth, Knight, and Arthur, but to see them portrayed through a completely different viewpoint. I didn’t realize how much I had missed this world until picking up this book!
Oh my gosh! I loved this so much! I need more of this. The writing, the plot, the sex, the anger, etc. it was such a good short story! Casting is beyond perfect. I loved that he was trying to be the perfect gentlemen but also loved that he was dirty and made Caroline fall in love with him. Loved that Caroline was so strong willed but couldn’t resist Castien! I love a good fated mates trope and this did it for me. I give it 5 stars and a spice of 4!
This was such a fun novella with a strong enemies to lovers element. Caroline absolutely hates Castien's kind, and so, Castien himself. However, he's not willing to give up that easy. There's an element of dub con, but it does end up stemming from a pure place. I really enjoyed the cross over characters as well, seeing Lisbeth again.
The female lead was annoying. But, I think she was meant to be. She's a bigot/racist and he has to convince her she can accept him. This does have dark elements, so if you don't like dark romance, don't read it.
This was an interesting read with lots of sass and some off the charts chemistry. The hate to love of the FMC is so fun to read. Getting to see Lisbeth, Arthur, & Knight is quite the treat too. I really enjoy this world the author has created. Lots of fun and interesting situations inside.
Lycans, vaewolfs, vampires. The main character hates lycans and half breeds due to an encounter with a pack that killed her friend Samuel. It’s instant spice level 4/5, with a star 3.5 /4. A few typos throughout.

Quick read but it delved back in the born vampire world so a lovely cameo from Lisbeth Arthur and knight oh how I have missed these characters! Castien and Caroline are intense couple! Enjoyed it
