This story occurs in a post-apocalyptic world where a plague killed off most of the population. People have banded together in tribes to survive. If you are not into reading about kinky BDSM erotica, then this book is not for you. If you are, it is a great book. Check the trigger warnings before reading. It is a darkly delicious story about Alina and Wallace, enemies from warring tribes. Max’s tribe attacks Wallace’s. They used to be friends. Then Wallace’s tribe attacks Max’s new tribe, which includes Alina. Eventually Wallace kidnaps Alina after realizing they have chemistry, and takes her to his home near a waterfall, where they indulge in a consensual relationship. This story takes place in a dangerous time where resources are scarce and every step out the door is dangerous, so their relationship builds to a deeper level as they try to survive in the new world.

The book was impressive. The book is short, muy caliente spicy, and has an intriguing, fast paced storyline with lots of twists. There is great character development so readers can better understand the characters. The world building is amazing as the new lawless world the characters live in are graphically described to understand the bleakness. I definitely recommend this book.

Another one of Maeve Harlow's smutty novellas, which are great palate cleanser or just an amazing pastime.

I highly recommend her MFM (and what not) bookes, especially My Reckless Surrender to Them: A Quick, Spicy MFM Romance, but this one is MF.

In a post-apocalyptic world, everything has changed. Fighting for survival is the #1 priority.

A fugitive takes a hostage to become his slave. But she's not as "against her will" as it seems.

The post-apocalysptic aspect of this story is essential for its plot. It's the only way this story makes sense and keeps you from questioning.

The author tell us some backstory about the couple, which gives a bit more depth to them.

I wish I could have gotten more involved with this story, so I would have appreciated it more.
In any case, it was an interesting story, with a cute/lovely ending.

Really good short story, told very well. Tribal society.

After a clash between two tribes during which Alina is injured, Wallace takes Alina to his mountainside home to heal. As a dom, he intends to make her his sub, but she has no intention of cooperating. Thus, they start out with conflicting goals, but where might they end up?

I normally don't bother with stories under a hundred pages, but the author has packed a lot in this seventy page story, and I loved it! I think you will, too.

This is a very good kinky book. I love how Wallace does exactly what he says he is going to do, he breaks her and makes her his. Alina hates him because but she responds to him when he orders her to do something. It was sad what happened to make him go after someone for vengence, but he had every right after what Max did and didn't protect her like he should have. If you love hardcore BDSM then you should read these books because they are really good.

After a plague wipes out most of civilization, Max and Alina become a couple in a tribe of survivors. Wallace is a prisoner from another tribe. Wallace escapes and takes Alina with him. They live together in a secluded mansion. Wallace becomes her Dom and a rough dom he is. Interesting story, I enjoyed the book - just not a lover of " end of the world" situations but Lots of HOT scenes!!

This was a quick read and smutty story. I enjoyed it and the sex scenes were 🔥. If you're looking for an easy and hot read and you check the triggers and it sounds interesting, definitely recommend it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am giving this 5 stars for being excellent smut with kink and bondage. Which is exactly what was advertised.

Sure, the plot gets a bit stretched and the premise is not all that plausible -- consensual BDSM between former enemies in a lawless world. But, the story works.

Very Good Book

I loved that Wallace did exactly what he said he was going to do, and he broke her. I also love that the women in these book always hate the man, but they wind up falling for them because of the close proximity trope. These guys are true Doms, and they give the women pleasure after they punish them for their disobedience. The women disobey them on purpose just so they get punished and then get their pleasure. I really love reading these books because they feel so real, and it's the BDSM and sex are written really well. I will definitely keep reading these books.
