This was a promising first volume. A darker tone and more serious dialogue makes this series more appealing to me as a reader, but makes me wary of how long it'll last in the magazine. God forbid a new Jump series take itself seriously in current day. But for now, I'm loving having a series where I can really get into the dialogue and character motivations.

An interesting manga about Frankenstein-esque monsters who murder humans to take their body parts and the boy who lost his family due to these and his mission to get rid of them (with the help of Fabricant 100 who is the best one there is). Lots of action, some revelations, some twists, and more. I am really curious how this one is going/how it will end. Will they be able to have a safe life? Will Ashibi give up his life? What kind of fabricants are there?
Very unfocused in a 'first time jump manga' way, general approach of the series shifts about a half dozen times but to his credit, Enoshima acquits himself well and manages to wrap everything up in a more or less coherent way.
Read the official English translation through an app called “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. This was an interesting first volume and I’m very eager to see how this series goes. I like seeing the rather unique dynamic between Ashibi and Fabricant No.100, and especially how much trust Ashibi has in Fabricant No.100 due to the specifics of their dynamic. Something that sparked my intrigue the most in this first volume was Ashibi meeting those in the Mortsafe, so I’m curious to see how they continue to interact in future volumes.
