Eve’s life might not be perfect, but it’s hers. She has money, freedom, and a client list that she’s handpicked over the years. If sometimes she gets a little too attached to those clients? Well, that’s her problem. After a stressful day, she’s looking forward to dinner and a long night with Azazel…until he asks her to sign a contract under the guise of roleplay—and then kidnaps her to another realm.
Azazel has been in love with Eve for years, but he knows his place. The window to offer her a contract has long since closed, so he takes her in the only way he can—as her client. Until one of his enemies realizes exactly how much Eve means to him…forcing him to lie to her to protect her.
Unfortunately for Azazel, Eve isn’t thankful for the protection. She may be stuck in the demon realm with her new captor, but she’s going to make him choke on every moment they spend together.
Too bad her heart is more in the mix than she’d ever admit…

Listen, in for a penny in for a pound. None of these have really hit the same as the first one, but they’re quick reads and… *gestures vaguely* I dunno man
I waited all this time for Azazel’s book just for it to be hot garbage??? Me and Katee Robert have beef.
How can you have a character be so interesting in the other books he makes an appearance in, but be so BORING in his own book??
The pacing was off with the whole story. Some things - like the fight between Brosh and Azazel - were so rushed while other sub plots went on too long. There wasn’t nearly enough bonding between Eve and Azazel for me to give a shit that they ended up together. Eve was on her high horse the whole fucking book and my boy Azazel was just acting like a simp.
You’re telling me this is the man people in other books feared?? This guy?? This guy could barely stand a visit with his cousin.
I was excited for this book and now that I’ve actually read it I’m pissed.
This took me a lot longer to finish than I had originally anticipated. Between work and school I haven’t had time to sit down and physically read as much as I would like, but I finally got a chance to finish the last book in this series. I loved finally being able to see more into Azazel as a character. I also enjoyed finally getting to see more of Eve after seeing the Easter eggs throughout the other five books in the series. I really enjoyed their dynamic together and their chemistry and getting to see them fall for each other throughout the book. One of the reasons why I didn’t give this a five star was how redundant the main conflict was. I understand the frustration behind the decision that was made, it just kinda got annoying to hear how they can understand it and they don’t understand and the back-and-forth throughout the whole book. I also think that the conflict got resolved too quickly at the end and I would’ve loved to see a little bit more of the story and how things changed. Also, two of my least favorite words are in this multiple times, which is “daddy” and “baby girl”. I just can’t get behind them for some reason. It kind of just makes me gag a little bit every time I read it but that’s just me lol. Can’t wait to continue to read and reread some of this authors books!
What's up with me feeling bad for men lately? 😠 Stop it. It makes me feel icky.
But damn I just hate it when all the characters are like YOU'RE LYING TO ME when they've done virtually nothing to make you think their feelings aren't real. It's like watching someone at a check out register giving the cashier a credit card when it's cash only. Just get in a different line, ma'am. I don't know what to tell you.
I've been waiting for Azazel's story since he first appeared in Mina's book, which is to say I've been waiting for almost four years. Only for the long awaited book to end up being a rushed and shallow mess.
Azazel is acting beyond ooc in this story and there is no trace of his infamous charm and daddy-iness at all. The latter was actually reduced to an unemotional dull smut scenes which in itself was a hefty crime considering the demon king involved.
Dunno, this whole series had so much potential but in the end, none of the books following the first one were able to hit the mark 🤷🏻♀️
While reading Dragon's Bride, I decided to skip to the last book because I wanted to know why Azazel did not let the leaders pick the woman in yellow. Low-key regret being curious cuz wtf was that?! The whole lying-to-protect-you and the push and pull was tiring. The smut was definitely spicier but had to skip it cuz the whole Daddy thing was just a BIG NO!
Giving it two stars, one for the magical castle and the other star for myself for finishing the book. Perhaps, I should add a 0.5 ⭐ for Brosh who deserved better than the 2 minute cameo after all that talk about keeping Eve save from him. RIP, Bro. May you be treated better in your next life!
I knew this final book would absolutely EATTTT. I’ve been waiting on Azazel and Eve’s story since the beginning 🤭 Captor x captive, Daddy kink, possessive mmc, hyper independent fmc? Katee basically wrote this with me in mind. Perfect ending to the series 🤌🏼
Finally got to read Daddy Azazel's book!!! I enjoyed reading this so much that I didn't even bat an eye over the kidnapping and lying thing. I love Azazel being obsessed with Eve and ugh omg the last few chapters before the ending hurt me so much. Hopefully they get better communication after because I am rooting for them. Nice to see the other characters too (and if this is the last book, then I'm sad that it will be and I'll be missing all them monsters).
First, I am so incredibly lucky to have had a chance to read this early as an ARC through the author’s Patreon. And it is everything that I wanted from demon daddy Azazel. Eve made him work for it, he knew he was in the wrong, and she held his feet to the fire, so to speak. Also, gotta love a sentient castle with attitude. And Ramanu is forever a favorite.
I was waiting for months for this book, anticipated it the most of the series, and in the end it was just... meh? The whole thing was bland and a drag, especially compared to other Katee books.
Until 60% in, it's a circle of Eve hating Azazel, then sleeping with him, and then hating herself. Then they have a somewhat nice relationship for two chapters, only to have a third act breakup.
The smut was bland and the Daddy thing is really not for me so I mostly skipped it? Which is just sad.
The chapter with Sol and Briar felt like a filler because it was more or less copied from the first book in the series and didn't offer anything new.
And the fact that this huge threat of a villain was eradicated in like half a page was just sad.
Right after that there was yet another breakup, and then no epilogue, the book ends abruptly.
It felt like Katee didn't want to write this book but did only for the sake of the publishing date, and I'm glad this was on KU and I didn't have to actually buy it, because what I thought would be a safe bet at a good read made me totally disappointed and feeling drained from reading it.
this was my most anticipated read of the series, but ended up being my least favorite book I have read in this series. disappointed is an understatement !!
Triggers: Prostitution Abduction Fantasy violence / murder / gore
Scenes: Light BDSM play Oral (she receives and he receives) Daddy / baby girl MF sex
Notes:
Eve is a lady of the night. A sex worker. I didn't expect it but I dig it.
As much as I liked Eve's snappy attitude, I didn't like Azazel as much as I thought I would. I think I had higher expectations of him but he kind of fell flat for me while reading this.
I honestly kind of want to know a lot more about Pope and wondering if Katee plans on writing a book about them.
I was so back and forth with this one. There were parts of it I liked a lot, but the bad outweighs the good. I was a little annoyed with Azazel and Eve’s dynamic, and I didn’t feel invested in them ending up together. I am glad it ended the way it did, despite that, but the way there felt tedious to read.
Eve calls him daddy but really he’s the baby girl. He just wanted to protect her and was so nervous around her while also being a 7 ft tall demon who’s leader of a territory absolutely adorable. Katee why you gotta do me like this why write a man who’s a demon and yet more respectful than every actual human man on the planet it saddens me.
It gave what needed to be given but this was far too short and rushed for my liking. I wanted more time with Eve and Azazel and it just felt rushed. Still glad to finally have their story but I need more of them!
Unfortunately this one didn't live up to the expectations I had for it.
Azazel was so interesting in prior books that I was excited for a whole book about him. But I just found him quite boring and the book was a bit of a slog to get through.
Ramanu and Lenora were my favourite characters and they were only in it for a couple of chapters.
Oh Azazel. I adore a silly sad boy, who is obsessed and full of regret but still chooses to not do the right thing.
Eve and Azazel were funny and actually heartwarming. They had their issues but they were honest to themselves about their struggles. Eve's reaction was completely valid, even if it was a struggle to watch. Azazel, the fool, was out here like "lifetime contract" and I laughed out loud. I really do love an obsessed in love boy.
The only thing I didn't love with the daddy/baby girl bit. It did not do it for me in this one.
i am so sad this series is over. it was my proper introduction to monster romance and will always hold a special place in my heart!!! i was really eager to finally get to Azazel’s story and Eve quickly became one of my fave characters from the series!! the only thing that took me out a little bit was the use of ‘daddy’ like it was truly incessant.
Been anticipating this book since Azazel was first introduced in Court of The Vampire Queen and it did not disappoint. The angst and pining was top-tier and had me crying at the ending! And Eve made Azazel work for her forgiveness and it was so wonderfully done!
Yeahhh just didn’t hit like the first one did. Just seemed like the pacing of the plot was off and nothing was really developed. Disappointing cause I was so excited for this one 😔
Azazel's been in love with Eve, and when her life was in danger, he took a risk and lied to her. He brought her to the demon realm with no escape.
I wish, I wish I could turn back time and just did not read this book. I put this off for way too long, considering I binged the series back-to-back last 2023. Let me tell you, I was extremely disappointed with this book.
What went wrong? Oh, everything. We saw gimpses of both Azazel and Eve right from the first book so the anticipation of their story was so high.
"Eve tastes like she always has. Like home."
Start off, Azazel doesn't seem to be as strong or evil or badass as he makes out to be. He's just not what I pictured. At all. He almost got this sad boy act that I didn't like. Next, Eve and boy, I did not like her. Not one bit. I get that she's angry and felt betrayed, but damn girl, get off the high horse attitude. I just wished they communicate enough instead of communicating through their bodies. I was really frustrated and disappointed with this.
Pacing was also a bit off, like they were just running in circles over and over again. Not great.
In conclusion, not a great end to this series and I wished I did not read this.I'm sad that this was a 2-star read but it is what it is.
