He needs a wife to silence his father. She needs a break from the spotlight.
Millie Greer thought she was destined for Broadway, until a cruel director crushed her dreams over a few extra pounds. Now, hiding from the stage that once defined her life, she’s found solace behind the microphone, recording for an erotic stories app.
Ezra Miller is a big-hearted middle school teacher, worn down by his father’s constant pressure and his own string of romantic misfortunes. When he’s met with an unexpected family member, Ezra’s only option is to find a “wife”—and fast. Who better to play the role than a trained actress?
What begins as a convenient arrangement quickly spirals as the line between make-believe and reality blurs. When hearts get tangled, Ezra and Millie must decide if their fake relationship is for the show—or if love might be the real deal after all.
Packed with laugh-out-loud humor, witty banter, and a whole lot of spice, For the Show is a heartwarming story about finding family, self-love, and realizing that sometimes, the best roles are the ones we never expected to play.
For the Show is the second book in the All for Love interconnected standalone series but can be read on its own.
Katie Van Brunt writes steamy rom-com stories with banter, mental health, and lots of texts on page.
Before writing romance, Katie was a dance and yoga instructor. Originally from Florida, Katie has also lived in California, North Carolina, Virginia and Greece, but she currently resides on the island of O'ahu in Hawai'i with her family.
You know when a book tries? Like really tries? But it still falls short? This is how this one was for me. There was potential, substance, characters, proper research and education about the topics handled, kinkiness and romance. This one had all of these, but it felt like it tried " too much".
In an effort to stay true to all the topics handled (wonderfully done btw), I feel that the book lost some of its essence. Whether talking about bisexual stigma, endometriosis, found family and putting boundaries within one's family, body dysmorphia, some Jewish aspects of daily life, or appealing to readers with some readers slang, Katie Van Brunt did them to a T and with spectacular knowledge and understanding. However, it seems that there was so much focus on this, that the romance - although it had perfect moments and you can feel the mutual care- just needed more substance.
Similarly, I felt just enough intrigued by the side characters, but I wasn't invested enough to care for them and their sequels/prequels.
-- Pre-read: This girl needs her dose of healthy smut. This book promises a lot of that🤭
8/8/2025 adding audio thoughts 🎧 - Thank you to PinUp Audio for the ALC!
already one of my fav reads of the year, the audio brought it up to the NEXT LEVEL! 😍
🎙 DUET narration by Victoria Connolly AND Brandon Francis
Victoria Connolly was an insta-fav narrator for me the very first minute I heard her (for Out on a Limb), and she was the PERFECT Millie! 🌴
This was my first listen to Brandon Francis and boy did he become an insta-fav as well - his portrayal of Ezra, showing all the sides of him (including his spicy side 😮💨) - simply amazing. _______ For the Show had me laughing & tearing up - I absolutely fell so hard for both Millie & Ezra! I could NOT put this one down 🙌🏼
📖 For the Show by Katie Van Brunt 📚 book 2 • All for Love series
⭐️: ♾️ 🌶️: open door, many descriptive scenes (it’s a spicy one, but the spice doesn’t take over the plot)
💭 overall thoughts: First off, stellar opening line (I won’t spoil it here) 🪩
We meet Millie & Ezra (where they hook up in Greece) in For the Plot, and I knew I would love their story from the little bits we got there. This one can definitely be read as a standalone, though I highly recommend both books!
Ezra needs a fake wife to take to Hawaii & prove he’s nothing like his womanizing father, and Millie (an actress) is the perfect person to play the part. The lines very quickly blur, and their chemistry and connection is undeniable 🔥
There is so much depth to both of these characters & this story. I love the layers Katie adds, and I won’t spoil all the details.
Millie is dealing with gaining a few pounds, and how that affects her self esteem, and her career in the theater industry. Ezra struggles with his mental health, having periods of depression. He really works hard on himself through therapy, medication, and his vulnerability is beautiful.
They both really support each other, and have fantastic communication. I love how they grow together in the story, and how more time passes than a typical romcom.
I appreciated some of the twists to the way Katie presented certain things (for example, Millie is bi and always saw herself marrying a women - I feel like we often see the opposite, a bi woman wanted to marry a man to “fit in” to society’s expectations).
I also have to mention - THE SPICE 😮💨 This book was so incredibly hot, especially the scene where they enjoy a live version of an erotic story Millie narrates.
I could probably talk about this book all day 😅 Seriously it was phenomenal, an instant FAV!

Miss Katie! You really out did yourself with this one! I fell in love with both Millie and Ezra in For the Plot and I was so excited for them to finally both get their much needed happy ever after that they deserved with each other!
Ok, let me take a moment to gush about your next book boyfriend and he goes by the name Ezra. This man is literally one of the most vulnerable and emotionally available book boyfriends you will ever meet. This man is a teacher, goes to therapy, knows how to have an open and honest conversation and he wants to be a husband and father so badly. Like come on ladies! He can NOT get any more perfect. Which only means he would want the one person who wants the complete opposite. Let me introduce you to Millie, our little wild child. She is bisexual and has it in her mind that she will marry a woman, is unsure which direction she wants to go in life and is currently battling with her body image after weight gain. Like how relatable is that last one? But guess what? These two have found themselves in Hawaii pretending to be newlyweds and you can only imagine the forced proximity that brings these two together.
Listen, Katie, she knows how to write some spice that hasn't been done before. A scene that will in fact live rent free is the reenactment of an erotic story that Millie narrates 👀 yes you heard that right. And let me tell you something, this is the first time they have hooked up since the first book and boy was it hot. But besides the spice, Katie also did a really amazing job at incorporating the complexities of a bisexual FMC who pursues a relationship with a man, conversations about body image and men's mental health. These topics were beautifully done. Even if I can not relate to everything that these characters experience, I loved their growth and how they navigated their struggles to come up on top.
I also want to note that I am so proud of Millie. As someone who also has struggled with body image from gaining some weight, I loved how Ezra made her feel 100% comfortable in her skin. Like this man always made sure she was aware of how beautiful she is. SWOON!! I was literally swooning!

* I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Katie Van Brunt for allowing me the opportunity to read For The Show as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.
OMG y'all, this book was SO GOOD. For the Show is an incredibly well-written and hilariously funny romcom, and I just devoured it (I read the entire thing on my two flights over the weekend). It's been a minute since I've read any MF romance, but this book is still very much unapologetically queer. The bi rep is incredibly well done, I LOVED the body positivity, and the spice is both incredibly hot and full of enthusiastic consent. Definitely give this one a shot if you want a fun vacation read!
Mille and Ezra are such interesting characters, on their own and as a couple. I love how confident and funny she is most of the time, though her anxiety about her body is also so relatable. This book has some of the best bi rep I've read in a while, as Millie tries to navigate being in a relationship with a man when she'd always pictured herself with a woman. And the fact that she's a spicy audiobook narrator - omg that was so fun, and the scene where she walks in on Ezra listening to her?! PRICELESS! Ezra is SUCH book boyfriend material - definitely getting some he falls first vibes which I LOVE, and he's so sweet and sensitive to Mille even before they are actually together. His struggles with depression are handled well, as is his difficult relationship with his dad. And watching him step up as a guardian to his teenage half brother was incredibly sweet - their relationship was one of my favorite parts of the book.
There are so many things to love about this book that I don't have room to get into - the incredible spice, Matilda references, endometriosis rep (!!)... there's even some SOUP! I'm so grateful to Katie for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to read this one. I almost wish I'd saved it for my upcoming vacation to Hawaii - such great beach read vibes! Definitely one you do not want to miss out on.
“None of those counted. I didn’t know what love was until you.” My heart thumps against my sternum as his words register. Lord, this man knows how to make me swoon. “And now that you know?” “I’m never letting you go.” 🥹🩷🫶🏻
When I tell you that I ate this up, I ate it up. Ezra and Millie were PERFECTION. This book has everything you could want in a contemporary romance: flirty and witty banter, delicious tension, hot AF chemistry, and lots of highlighted text 🤪
This was my first book I read from Katie and it certainly won’t be my last because this was such a fun ride from start to finish. I didn’t read the first book, For the Plot, before starting this and I didn’t feel like it negatively impacted my experience whatsoever. If anything, now I 1000% plan on going back and reading it because I loved this book so much.
I don’t want to give too much away but what I loved THE MOST about Ezra and Millie was the way they showed up for each other on an emotional level. Yes, they had the banter down. Yes, the tension was palpable. Yes, the spicy scenes were 😮💨, but the emotional support?!?! Ezra is the epitome of the “I got you” trope and will make you swoon for how he meets Millie where she’s at and provides all the emotional support she needs and vice versa.
I seriously loved this so much and I’m already pumped for book 3 😍
A rare DNF for me. All tropes and zero substance. She tried to give the main characters so many personal issues and none of them made sense, I wanted to scream. You’re telling me you went from a size 2 to a size 6 and made your whole personality that you gained weight? Girl get out of here, your parents have a condo overlooking Central Park.
• Fake Marriage • Vacation romance • Mental health rep • Daddy kink • Romcom perfection • Vulnerable and raw moments • Custody of a sibling • "My wife" • Caretaking MMC • Found Family
Ahhh! I needed this book! I’ve been so excited to finally read Millie and Ezra’s story, and it did not disappoint. It was beautifully unconventional, with the way Katie balanced the raw, honest portrayal of mental health with the lightheartedness of their relationship. It was absolutely perfect!
Millie and Ezra have such beautiful hearts, and I loved watching them support each other with zero judgment.
Ezra was the sweet teddy bear of a man! Battling his own struggles, but this man would drop anything he had going on for the people he loved! I loved the relationship they developed between him and his little brother. It was the absolute sweetest!
Their relationship added such a perfect layer of depth to his character and made me love him even more. It brought out that Daddy Ezra side even more! 😍
Millie. Sweet, beautiful Millie! I loved her vulnerable moments. It was unbelievably relatable. Her growth throughout the story was inspiring to watch, and with Ezra by her side, she was a perfect example of how a woman can truly blossom under the right care and love of a partner. I loved watching her sweet character blossom!
The character development in this book was just so well done. I lived every second of getting to know them more and more and their beautiful vulnerability!
If you’re looking for a book with all the heartfelt moments and some seriously real, honest mental health rep, this one is 100% for you! Katie did such an incredible job balancing those raw, emotional parts with so much warmth and love.
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧 Duet Narration Narrated by Brandon Francis and Victoria Connolly
Katie has done such an incredible job casting her books! Hot damn! These two were absolute fire together. I was so excited when I found out that these two would be bringing Millie and Ezra to life! And they absolutely nailed it! I was honestly blown away!
Brandon's performance for Ezra is honestly hard to put into words! This is probably my favorite performance from him that I have heard! He did such an incredible job bringing out Ezra’s quiet strength, his vulnerability, and those tender moments that made him so lovable. You could feel every bit of his heart in the way he delivered each line.
And the spice scenes were PERFECT! That’s all I can say! Absolute perfection!! 😍
Victoria’s performance for Millie was equally as perfect! I was so excited when I found out she would be the voice of Millie! Her sweet, tender voice was the perfect pick for Millie. But as tender as Millie could be, she was also equally feisty! And Victoria brought that out perfectly!
That balance made her feel so real, and it brought Millie’s personality to life in the best possible way. I can't recommend this audiobook enough! These two were PERFECT!!

Let me just put this out here first and foremost. Katie will forever and ever be my FAVORITE 😍 AUTHOR ❤️. She gives me everything I need in a book and so much more. She knocks each book out of the park and when I know its going to be amazing she comes in and makes it 20 times better!! I will forever be a Katie Van Brunt Stan!
Now let's get to our regularly scheduled review!
Millie and Ezra are two human beings that will forever live in my heart. I loved these two so much, even from the first book. I was no so patiently waiting for their book to come out.
Millie is an absolute smoke show who can not only make you look like this 😍 but also make your body move when she sings. She is the complete showbiz package! Even with her having those talents she is an amazing woman who is every bit of a human. She has her insecurities because she has been berated by someone based on her looks and her weight. She struggles with body dysmorphia and with the help of Ezra learns how beautiful her body is even if it's not what it used to be. She shows what a beautiful human she truly is when Kane comes into the picture and she loves him with her whole heart. She is such a beautiful human inside and out and loves with her whole being. I love it when she is able to find herself again with the help of Ezra. Can we love Ezra anymore than we already do?
Ezra is the ultimate man that every woman dreams about 😍. He goes to therapy to seek treatment for himself, initiates healthy conversations and loves with his whole chest ❤️. I was legit swooning all over my kindle for this man. Bless him, he had a rough go with women. He seemed to find all the wrong ones until he found Millie. Millie was the yin to his yang. It may have started as fake but it quickly became more. I loved how much he embraced Kane and showed him that he would always be there for him. He knew he didn't want him to have a horrible upbringing. My heart ❤️ just soared when Ezra said his peace and did everything he could for Kane. I couldn't have loved him more at that point.
These two were the most perfectly flawed people for each other. I loved their banter, their what Ifs game and everything about them. They came with their misgivings but they found the best in each other.
I'm going to brag on Miss Katie once again because she more than deserves it. She brought so much to the table in this book. Men's Mental Health, Body Dysmorphia, Parental Abuse, Blending Of Families, Endometriosis, LGBTQIA+ Rep to name a few. She deserves a whole AWARD 👏 for using these in this book in a healthy way. And bringing them up to make sure that there is a conversation about them. They deserve to be spoken about! She deserves to be applauded for using them so well.
I absolutely cannot wait to see who is going to be the next couple in the third book of this series! I will be the first in line to get my copy!!

Victoria and Brandon truly did this book soooo much justice! I was sent every time Brandon made a sexy quote THAT much more sexy just by saying it. He can truly make anything sound sexy. Lemme just tell you that I will never say he doesn't! I absolutely LOVED hearing Victoria give Millie the voice I always thought she would have, but BETTER!

For the Show by Katie Van Brunt is an engaging and heartfelt story that delivers a compelling mix of drama, emotion, and authenticity. The characters are well-developed, and Van Brunt’s writing style makes it easy to connect with their journeys. The pacing keeps you invested, and the themes explored add depth to the narrative. While a few moments could have been expanded for even greater impact, overall, it’s a fantastic read that leaves a lasting impression. Definitely worth picking!
I had the best opportunity to listen to this audiobook before it releases and to say this audiobook had amazing marketing would be an understatement.
I loved Millie and Ezra! This book was so refreshing and honestly, unlike any book I’ve read. It had me wanting to keep listening at all times (especially with the narrators)
The uniqueness of this story was so good. I loved how Millie was immediately drawn to Ezra and his family. The found family vibes were something I wasn’t expecting but overall, did really enjoy this!
I really enjoyed reading this book, I had some trouble getting into the book at first and there were some things that I enjoyed less but overall the story is good and the characters are enjoyable and lovable.
You need to read this (with your ears & your eyes) of you want to feel the thrill of love walking in and staying forever.
Being true to you is an act of audacity sometimes. But even the most audacious of us need an assist from time to time.
Millie is that friend we all need. She's vivacious, open, and a lot of fun. One of Millie's superpowers is her ability to be vulnerable and wholly accept others in their vulnerability. Watching her struggle was so hard. Her comeback was wildly inspiring. I thought Victoria Connolly expertly brought Millie to life. She made Millie's strengths & struggles easy to connect with.
Ezra is one of one, OK. He's wickedly witty. He's deeply self-aware and committed to being a little better every day. His mouth was made for sin. Ezra is compassionate and ready to be what others need without completely sacrificing himself in the process. Brandon Francis was meant to give voice to Ezra. I think my earbuds melted twice. Thank you, Daddy.
Ezra and Millie are simply meant to be. Their story is hilariously heartwarming and heart-wrenchingly complex at times. Standing with someone as they acknowledge their deepest feelings and big scary life dreams is what love is all about. They don't shy away from their connection. They treat each other with respect. Together, they possess soul seering passion and chemistry that simply can not be manufactured. They shine together. They show up and show out, letting love lead the way.
After reading For the Plot, I was so excited to read For the Show and get more of Millie & Ezra!! I ended up falling in love with these two and I honestly just love how open Ezra is with his feelings and communicating - thank you therapy! He has so many green flags that you cannot help but love him! And all he wants is to be married and have a family to love! And the way he is with Millie to show her that she still is beautiful despite having gained some weight literally had me swooning even harder.
I love how supportive they both are of each other with their personal struggles, no matter what was going on they made sure to check in with each other and really open up. And then the freaking chemistry between these two is insane!! Katie definitely gave us some deliciously spicy scenes and that audio narration scene was HOT, IYKYK.
ᴀᴜᴅɪᴏʙᴏᴏᴋ: Narrated in duet by Victoria Connolly and Brandon Francis and I couldn’t stop listening! I’ve already read this book before, but hearing it narrated made it even better! These two were the perfect cast for Ezra & Millie and this is one of my favorite audios that I’ll definitely be listening to again!!

Millie and Ezra swoon 💕
Ezra is a great book boyfriend. He’s open with his feelings and a very strong character. He finds himself in a situation and begs Millie for her help.
I found Millie to be a relatable character, she's a strong women going through things that a lot of women go through and relate to. She owns who she is and isn’t afraid to be herself. I loved that and found it inspiring.
The author did a wonderful job developing these characters and plot. Fantastically written and such an easy read/listen.
The spice 🥵 was spicing for sure. Be prepared to get a little hot and bothered. 😂
I loved this book so much! It was the perfect spicy romcom I didn’t know I needed 👏
I freaking loved Ezra & Millie.
Millie was absolutely hilarious and had me freaking cackling so much. Ezra was hot af. Good lordddd. Those two had so much chemistry. I couldn’t quit reading. I loved the found family aspect in this too. I definitely need to go read For The Plot ASAP.
WHEWWW this book!!! I read For the Plot last year and really enjoyed it. But even after finishing that book, I knew I was going to go nuts for Ezra and Millie’s story. These two were electric together. This book starts out with a bang from the very first sentence. It essentially picks up right where the last book left off. I don’t typically like when a few weeks or months pass without us getting to see what actually happened during that time frame, but it makes total sense here. I am a sucker for fake dating or marriage of convenience, and it’s so good here. Sometimes I have to suspend belief to read marriage of convenience, but I loved how fake marriage was portrayed here. It was literally just them having to sell a little lie he dug himself into.
I love Joey and Millie’s relationship. They have each other’s back to the fullest extent. And same with Cam and Ezra. There is something so endearing about having your go to bestie. I love a good vacation romance, but it always backfires on me because I immediately start planning my own trip to that location lol I have always wanted to go to Hawaii and this book paints a gorgeous picture of it all. I absolutely loved their time in Hawaii.
Ezra is such an enigma with his therapy attending, emotion regulating, empathy, people reading skills etc. I guess it could be cause he’s in his mid thirties? But Ezra operates like a MAN. And it’s so hot lol Without spoiling it, I loved how he took charge of the whole Hawaii situation. That situation could’ve easily sent him into a spiral, but he took it all in stride.
I loved the body positivity in this book. We unfortunately live in a world where women and even men are conditioned to believe they need to be the smallest version of themselves to be worthy in society. I’ve never been small myself, so I don’t know how I would feel if I was once small and then had to get used to a bigger body. I could totally relate to Millie and the thoughts and things she said about herself. I loved how Ezra knew the before and current version of herself and loved / was crazy about them both. I also loved how Joey wouldn’t let Millie bash herself and told her not to talk about her best friend like that *tears*.
And let me just say the steam in this book?! Is as hot or hotter than book one. Every single piece of it. The audiobook narration scene will live rent free in my head forever. I blew up the author’s DMs after reading it about how I couldn’t function after if that tells you anything lol. I love how caring Ezra is in this book and how he dotes on Millie and everyone around him. Basically I loved everything about this book. It was such a fun read. It was even entertaining after they returned from Hawaii, which was something that was lacking in book one for me. Even though I loved the body positivity, it was heavy on the stretch marks and I love her new curves etc. It felt like a little overkill at times, but I appreciate the sentiment and totally get what the author is trying to do here.
Overall, if it’s not clear, I adored this book. It managed to be fun while balancing heavier topics and situations. It had some great representation without being overdone. It even got me to like a little surprise in the epilogue that I normally hate. I hope there’s more books in this series because I am ready for it!
Thank you to Katie & Greys Promotions for my arc, longer review to come on release day 🫶🏻
A parting quote for you - “Spread ’em. Show Daddy his pu**y.” 🥵🥵 ******************************************************* Release day Review - Ugh love love love!!! This book was so fun & witty & just overall such a good time!! Romcom vibes to the maaxxx which if you know me, you know I’m a sucker for
This spin on a ‘marriage of convenience’ trope was fenomenal imo - Ezra & Millie didn’t just get married, realize they’re in love and decide to stay together, which is the norm with similar plot lines; I liked that they tested out being an actual couple rather than jumping into anything too serious. I also looooved how both Millie & Ezra brought his brother, Kane, into their lives with zero hesitation 😭🥹
When I tell you I SOBBED for Millie - I loved watching her regain her confidence & her love for acting!!! My girl deserves the world!!! 😭😭
As someone who works in the mental health field I LOVE seeing it represented through books & Katie did a fabulous job incorporating those details into the story 🫶🏻

Summer isn’t over yet & this audio is sure to keep the summer vibes alive & HOT 🥵 Ezra and Millie absolutely do not disappoint in this fake marriage rom com!
The narration was amazing, the storyline fresh and unique, the spice on a whole other level, & the heartfelt & caring ways in which Katie writes Millie’s body insecurities & Erza’s struggles with his mental health were so relatable. She does this in such a way that shines light on mental health in men & fighting against the stigma that men shouldn’t need to discuss their feelings, mental health, or therapy. It’s 2025 & we love a man who takes care of his mind!
Also Ezra being a man who not only tells Millie, but SHOWS her how much he loves her body and how beautiful she is in his eyes despite her feelings towards her weight. It was just so beautiful!
I loved the storyline of them taking this trip to Hawaii as a fake couple, but ultimately realizing their chemistry and feelings that develop are anything, but fake!
The reason I decided on reading this was because of the blurb. It sounded amazing, and this story definitely was just that! 🙌💞
Millie thought she had a shot at Broadway. One ruthless director crushed her dreams all because she's a little too chunky😒🙃 Now she decided to hide away from the spotlight and records for an erotic stories app.
Ezra is a middle school teacher constantly ridiculed by his father's pressure. When something pops up, he only has one option, and that's to find a wife asap. Obviously, Millie is the perfect gal to play the part, considering she's an actress.
I was instantly pulled into this story, and I loved every second. The humor and the romance were spot on, and I couldn't stop laughing at some scenes🤣🤣💞 Millie and Ezra were perfect. He was literally the best, and the way he uplifted Millie was so sweet🥹🥹 This author is new to me, and I'm so glad I found her! I'm most definitely going back and reading the first book🙌

For The Show- Katie Van Brunt Narrated by Victoria Connolly and Brandon Francis
Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
This was such a fun story between Ezra and Millie, who we know from book one had previously hooked up while they met on vacation in Greece. Turns out when they came back home and went their separate ways they both started dating the same girl, unbeknownst to the other. Time goes by, they find out about their dating triangle and break it off, the breakup takes its toll on both Ezra and Millie in its own way, but they still have this connection because Millie’s cousin is dating Ezra’s best friend and suddenly Ezra is in dire need of a fake wife and a trip out to Hawaii to meet his dad and new teenage brother he didn’t know about. The banter between Ezra and Millie is bantering, the chemistry is sizzling, the spice is spicing! I’m telling you, without giving too much away, this was a good time!
Victoria and Brandon did an incredible job on this narration! They were the best Ezra and Millie!
My first book from this author.. and now I’d be down to read anything she writes.
Loved the deliciously slow and laid back pacing, loved the writing style where you could feel all the love and not just be told, loved the FMC’s sass, loved how supportive and emotionally mature MMC was (he goes to therapy and it shows in the best way), loved their family members (especially Kane and Bea), loved it all!
Such a well rounded story with actually depth that added to the romance and ofcourse lots of steamy scenes for smut lovers.
The way MMC loves is what it means to love someone quietly and deeply and healthily - it’s just so real. It’s not just aspirational book boyfriends to pine over for their grand gestures (which can sometimes also be real but sometimes unrealistic).
No spoiler fav moments : - the star and diamond necklace was toooo cute 🤩 - anytime bea and her uncle Ezra interacted 🥰 - Kane and Millie scenes 🥺 - Thier first “fight” (so healthy 🤌🏽) - whenever their families all interacted - when/how they finally say I love you to each other - the proposal (the impatience had me 🤣)
⭐️Add it to your TBR!! This is for you if you like slow romances, fake marriage, and a plot beyond the romance that enhances the romance itself, plus plenty of smut.⭐️
Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for sending me this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my gosh this book had it all… I am SO in love with Millie & daddy Ezra. So much swoony, feel good moments, hilarious comedy, and immaculate spice!!

💞The found family was SO strong & heartwarming in this story. From Ezra’s mom and Trent had me sobbing into my sour gummy worms. “Do you want to be helped, hugged, or heard?” 🥹
❤️🩹 As someone who has lived in many different versions of my body, I absolutely loved the way Ezra loved Millie’s body enough for both of them when she was feeling insecure. Her growth and the way her confidence was unleashed by the end of the story was so amazing to read and I cried multiple times over the way Ezra showed he loved her body.
Ezra is also experiencing his own depression, and I loved his journey in connecting with a therapist, discussing different treatment options, etc. He is truly a mental health king 👑 and I adore him.
🌶️ AND THE SPICE!!!! I looooved the spice in For The Plot and I loved it just as much in this book! The daddy k!nk is hit or miss for me but daddy Ezra did the dang thing!!!! And that spicy audio scene? *Alexa, play WAP by Cardi B* so so good. I loved Millie and her lil Mary poppins bag of sex toys.
‼️TLDR: This is such a hilarious, feel good, swoony, quirky and SPICY read that you need to add to your TBR immediately. Katie Van Brunt’s writing is so unique and unlike anything I’ve ever read in all the best ways. Only 2 books in, and she’s quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!
Thank you so much to Grey’s Promotions and Katie Van Brunt for the arc of For The Show for me to provide an honest review! 🖤
Millie and Ezra had known of each other before discovering they were unknowingly dating the same woman. The revelation shocks them both, but things take an unexpected turn when Ezra later reveals he's told his father he's married and asks Millie to play the part of his fake wife. Needing a break from her everyday life and tempted by the chance to get away, Millie agrees to join him on the trip.
As they spend more time together, playful tension gives way to real emotion, and their connection deepens. But once they're back home, they're faced with the uncertainty of how they fit into each other’s lives.
Victoria Connelly and Brandon Francis shine as Millie and Ezra. Their chemistry and performances truly elevated the story. They make their journey feel authentic and immersive.
It’s a sweet, entertaining story full of witty banter, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of spice.
Thank you, Katie Van Brunt and Pin Up Audio for the ALC.
(Rounded up from 4,5 stars) I loved this one! I enjoyed it all the way through. 😍 The chemistry and banter between the two MCs were awesome. I really related to Millie and her story and her struggles made me tear up a few times. And Ezra!! ♥️🥵🔥🫦Can I get an Ezra, please? I loved Cam from the first book, but Ezra was just👌He was so freaking hot! But also such a nice guy.
I’m so happy I stumbled upon the first book in this series last year which led me here and I can’t wait to read more by Katie 🥰

I loved Katie’s first novel, “For the Plot.” I thought it would be pretty hard to top that debut, but with “For the Show” she has proved me wrong. I’m absolutely obsessed with both Ezra and Millie. The fake relationship trope hits all the right buttons. But for as much spice and banter that is in this book, there’s equal parts heart and emotional development. Each of them learns to not only love each-other but love themselves. Katie is an instant read and you need to pick this one up immediately 💖💖💖
