A heart-rending collection of poetry about the futility of watching cruelty continue at home and around the world. Graff's natural ear for rhythm and sound are at full force here, turning each poem into a kalashnikov of desperate emotion. Still, moments of hope and happiness shine through, driving home the fact that those are the parts we all must cling to.
