This is a story of surprise,lust,chemistry and finding ones self.
Along with that is the fact that you know you havent a clue what will come next but its coming in the only way Aleatha does it and its a shock.

This story is so addicting! Each page I turned made me keep wanting more. Van is so powerful and ruthless, yet has a softer side that he has only shown to Julia. Julia has been meek most of her life, until Van. He has helped her find her voice and her strength. Together they can take on anything or anyone that gets in the way of their happiness. There are still many secrets and mysteries waiting to be solved, but I am hopeful and impatient to learn more in the next book. I hope Van and Julia will finally get their happy ever after.

Once again Aleatha Romig will draw you into her titillating suspenseful romance, and she will not let you go until very end
Julia, her whole life has been planned by others, Her marriage might have been a business deal, one that had been established since she was baby in the same crib as her Fiancé. But that didn’t mean she didn’t have some type of feeling for the man

An age gap suspenseful romance read (h 24 y.o., H 41 y.o.), told mostly from the heroine’s pov.
Insta connection and relationship, the characters were flat because they didn’t have depth, too many sex scenes.
I never got to know who Donovan was due to the lack of his background and all of that mystery surrounding him.
No more Sins for me…

5 “I’m Hooked” Stars
This story has all the makings for a great series with a sexy possessive hero who has secrets and a beautiful naive heroine who is gaining confidence by the minute. There are lies, manipulations and retaliation within an intense passionate attraction between Donovan(Van) and Julia. There are 2 sides to every story, but sometimes a 3rd and 4th party comes in and deliciously stirs the pot. Who to believe, what to believe and why should I believe are all sprinkled into this story. In true Aleatha Romig fashion, she completely Aleatha’d the ending with that cliffhanger.
I will say that I’m really into Van and I’m liking Julia. Her inner voice has questions and she needs to be more confident and direct in searching for answers. Throughout the story, slowly and surely, she did start taking baby steps with Van by her side to stand up for herself. They should be a formidable couple if the lies and secrets don’t get the best of them. While I know that this journey won’t be easy, I can not wait for all the twist and turns and juicy secrets to reveal themselves.

Strewn with secrets and embellished with well spaced surprises, it's a thrilling story that kept me turning pages at warp speed throughout.
Intensely gripping narration is Aleatha's signature style, she loves to keep the readers on tenterhooks with her mystery filled, intriguing stories. Red Sin continues the White Ribbon Julia's journey into the unknown forward.
“What is happening here, is cosmic irony. I came to Ashland without knowing the identity of the man advertising for someone to pen his memoir. I didn’t expect to end up in a blizzard or a snowbank. I certainly didn’t know who rescued me.”
Passion is definitely a deciding factor as Donovan is the ultimate alpha, a complete owner of his domain. He takes charge and takes control and it's difficult not to be spellbound by his devilishly handsome personality.
"He was the wolf on Wall Street, the predator who seeks out wounded companies and businesses, and the man at the top who alone determines the fate of those within his sights."
Julia and I didn't Stand a chance. Soon she's entwined with him all over the house, lost in his lustful daze and basking in every inch of his gloriously intense attention.
"My negative energy was attracted to Julia’s positive energy and—I believed—vice versa. In physics, our speed would increase, drawing us closer, faster and faster until neither of us could slow the progression. Ultimately, we’d collide, the cosmic blast decimating everything within its pull."
The story has hairpin curves and turns like you wouldn't believe but Aleatha adeptly keeps the reader's interest hooked and so I couldn't put the book down till I reached the last page.

Van and Julia’s story is one you don’t want to miss! Aleatha Romig never fails to deliver a top notch Romantic Suspense that you’ll lose yourself in and will keep you guessing right up to the very last page. That ending, Oh My Gawd! I cannot wait until Green Envy releases!
Short review because this is a book you have to read for yourself to experience everything. I loved the chemistry between Van and Julia in WHITE RIBBON (no worries if you haven't read it yet, it's included with this book) but it gets even more intense in this book. There are so many twists and turns you won't know what to believe.
We are left with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait for GREEN ENVY to come out in January 2022 to see what happens next.

Red Sin is utterly compelling from beginning to end. It is well written and will keep you interested throughout the story. It was a good mix of romance and mystery. The plots were excellently crafted and the suspense palpable. The main characters were so interesting.
When Van found Julia in the middle of a snowstorm who would have thought that a supposed one-night stand will lead to a deeper relationship. Though Van is still a mystery to me, and I like how he treats Julia. Van giving Julia the freedom to decide what she wants to do next is so endearing. I love how the story unfolds between these two here but after that cliffy ending, I'm excited to know what will happen next to their blossoming relationship. Will Julia continue to trust Van after that revelation?
Another great story from a fine author. Clever, insightful, thought-provoking plot, and mostly unpredictable. Looking forward to the next book. If you're looking for romantic suspense I recommend this one.

Whew, this one started hard and fast and ended the same! I’m kinda reeling to be honest, but in a good way? Julia has fled to a snowy wonderland after finding out that her childhood sweetheart and fiancé has been cheating on her with her best friend…who is now expecting his baby. Asshole, am I right?! Anywho, she lands in a snow bank and decides to hoof it to help, when Van finds her nearly frozen and saves her. They spend the night together in an empty hunting cabin where he happily strips her of her pesky virginity before they part ways content to share one amazing night, leaving it and each other in the past.
Only, when Julia shows up to her interview and finds out that Van is her interviewer, things change. In fact, things change so incredibly rapidly that she moves in with Van and accepts his hand in marriage. It’s a business deal, of course, but one that comes with all kinds of benefits, much to my (and their) delight! Throw in a meddling family, all kinds of secrets, an annoying ex-Fiance and an infuriating mother, lots of steam and spice, and a snowy winter wonderland, and this was a quick and entertaining read! One that ended on a cliffy that makes me want to shank Van, so off I go to continue with this series!

All I can say is Wow, you are never disappointed reading an Aleatha Romig novel. What happens when you find out the man which as long as you can remember families have been best friends Bulters & McGrath's, have arranged for your marriage, two weeks before your nupitals get a message from your best friend that she is pregnant and its his baby. Not to mention you stayed a virgin to save yourself for him and your wedding night. Yes you would be right you call off the wedding and take off for the unknown.
Julia answer an ad to write a memoir for an important man. Off to Wisconsin she goes in a snow storm she is following the white ribbon on the GPS and spins out of control into a snow bank. With no other choice she decides to go searching for help or get buried alive. About to freeze to death she is rescued by a mountain man with endearing Green eyes before she passes out. So what do you think happens after having your world turned upside down by a cheating man? Red Sin because afetr you awaking their is a connection you never felt before between you and moutain man. Agreeing to only give first names Van and Julia go on a journey like she never had before.
What happens when a wolf in sheep clothing gives you a sense of stability you never had? What happens when he offers you a chance of a lifetime? Donavan Sherman have secrets in his past that hunts him is he to be trusted? Great introductory to a new series.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
After my recent introduction Aleatha Romig’s work in White Ribbon, I waited with bated breath for the release of 📚Red Sin. It did not disappoint. A passionate age gap romance with a dash of mystery and unexpected twists which will readers salivating for more.
If you did not read White Ribbon, no worries at all. The first seven chapters of 📚Red Sin covered all the events which occurred in White Ribbon. An unexpected twist at the end of White Ribbon led to some interesting turn of events in 📚Red Sin. A chance encounter, a one night stand, and a job offer changes the lives of both Van and Julia.
Van and Julia were awesome characters. They made a great team both in and outside the bedroom. I appreciated the way he treated her. It is clear he is completely enamored with her, but it doesn't impair his judgment when it comes to business. His shrewd approach to business made him a force to be reckoned with amongst his peers. His business acumen led to persons either fearing or in awe of him.
More of Julia's past came to light, but Van remains a mystery. Yes he is enigmatic and self assured and since meeting Julia his caring, possessive and thoughtful nature came to light. But that is all the reader was privy to. The story did deliver a few hints here and there, which have one guessing at what they may signify. The fact he is keeping secrets from Julia didn't sit well with me. However, I loved how he believed in her and helped her to uncover a side to her she never knew existed.
The ending may not have been what I wanted, but I expected it based on how the events unfolded. I will say this though it has me eager to get my hands on the next book, Green Envy.

Let me start with this; the cliffhanger is a killer!!! If Ms. Aleatha Romig’s intention was to make us squirm anxiously till the next book in the series to come out, she succeeded.
Red Sin is a captivating story about a young woman’s struggle in finding herself after facing a life-altering deception and disappointment. Through her awakening, our heroine meets with a stranger by chance that somehow feels like a cosmic offering to help her rise from her ashes. Unfortunately, this stranger is also full of secrets and mysteries that may upend her newly found self-confidence one more time.
This was an incredibly satisfying read full of romance, drama, betrayals, riddles to solve and most importantly shmexy hot times to dream of! A definite 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!

Book 8/100 for the 2023 Goodreads Reading Challenge.
My choice for the prompt A book with a color in the title from the 2023 Popsugar Reading Challenge.
While this book did have a better plot line than the other free e-book I read, it was still super "meh" for me 💤
I have totally crashed my [parents'] car into a snowbank so many times. That scene brought back good memories.... unfortunately no sexy men came out of that.
This was fun and short but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Crashing into a snowbank aside, it was just so unbelievable and unrealistic. Hated that it was left on a cliff hanger, too. 🙄
Didn't particularly like any of the characters- the book was too short for things to be fleshed out. Again they JUST. HAPPENED. No build up.

Thrilling, forbidden, SINFUL--this new series is everything you want as an Aleatha Romig fan. It's intrigue, twists and turns... A powerful, dangerous hero you'll adore, and a heroine who's not afraid to stand her ground and find her power. Van and Julia are terrific together. I was up all night reading this sexy, addictive romance. It's unputdownable. Can't wait to see where we go next...

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would!! I absolutely LOVE reading anything by Aleatha Romig! I've been patiently waiting for this book since finishing White Ribbon in Sept. This book did not disappoint!!!
Julia is trying to find her voice in her life after realizing she has been allowing others to speak for her for so many years. Van has been a much-needed presence in her life, one she didn't realize she needed.
Van still has so much mystery surrounding him. But what we know of him, I'm in love. He's that alpha male that I love so much. While he keeps talking about how he is the wolf, he has some really tender moments with Julia that just makes me swoon.

Van and Julia’s chemistry and the way they relate to each other so far is intriguing. Van is more intense then I anticipated and I’m looking forward to reading if he’s as destructive as he thinks he is. Can’t wait for more

Can Aleatha Romig fail? The answer is no, no she can not. That ending had me saying noooooo! Then I saw the next book doesn’t release until January and I might have poured a little bit. Julia, even though she’s been sheltered, become so strong. Van is nothing but mystery and secrets, that I need to know! Julia’s mom, that chicks the worst. I have my suspensions about her and things she might do. Lastly Skylar is a tool, and very punchable. I hate that guy. If you like mystery, twists and turns, this is definitely the book for you. I absolutely recommend it!

Donovan "Van" Sherman will arouse your senses from the very beginning and by the end you'll be drooling, panting and begging for more. He saves a "damsel in distress," one Julia McGrath, from being frozen in a blizzard and then proceeds to thaw her out with his immense heat and desire. They are both drawn to each other, but neither can explain why. Julia's young and running from a broken relationship. Van's considerably older, a bit of a recluse, and we don't really know why yet. Who cares? He's all ALPHA and BEYOND HOT!! Between Julia trying to figure out what she wants and Van KNOWING what he wants >Julia!, the pages crackled with heat and steam and all kinds of emotions. Is Van the wolf he claims to be? I'm not sure, but I felt more like the wolf as I howled my pleasure throughout this steamy, action-packed, captivating story. I LOVED it!
With each turn of a page I became more and more intrigued and invested in their story and what exactly was going on here. As always, Aleatha Romig's words paint an enticing picture so that you feel you are right there in the story watching it unfold in front of you. After reading the Pre-Novella The White Ribbon, we know Julia's frame of mind as she takes off from her home with very little direction in her mind. She's tired of being a puppet and wants to free herself from her chains. The chance happening meeting with Van is very unexpected by them both, but the chemistry they have together proves to Julia she never loved her fiance Skylar.
The proposition put forth by Van shocked her, but the more she found out about all the games people were playing around her and to her, he, of all people had the least to gain. So she decides to take him up on his job offer and other offer, too. The thing about Aleatha's books is you can NEVER take them at face value!
