Zoom Out from a tiny feather on an adelie penguin, to its role powering a colony of penguins as they duck and dive 150 metres in the water.
In this brand new series, look at a single image and then turn the page to see the bigger picture. From animals to environment, buildings to cities, and amoebas to evolution.
The first book in the series, Natural World, will introduce the reader to iconic species and then ‘zoom out’ to show the role that each animal plays in its ecosystem, helping the reader to understand that animals aren't just valuable in their own right – they're also part of a wider natural environment.
Pore over densely illustrated scenes of each animal’s ecosystem by award-winning illustrator Owen Davey, guaranteed to enchant both children and adults. Then collect the rest of the series.
Owen Davey describes his style as contemporary and nostalgic and likes to use a palette of warm, muted colors. His work has been featured in the New York Times and Jamie Oliver's food magazine. Owen has had many knightly adventures of his own where he lives in Bristol, England.
This has DK Eyewitness vibes with the pockets of text. But, I wish they had used photographs instead of just illustrations. It would have complemented the fact that this is nonfiction better.
