This captivating must read romance is perfect for fans of nonshifter knotting, enemies to lovers trope where he falls first, cinnamon roll mc, and forced proximity.
Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.
Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.
Chloe had found happiness and believed she found her forever Pack. But as soon as she started to make a new home, it was ripped away. Her best friend was seriously injured and she finds herself betrayed by her mother and being held in captivity by Alpha Louie Santaro. He plans for her to submit, bear him a couple of pups, and then be shared with his pack. Her consent is not needed. He has bought and paid for her through her mother. Chloe is trying all she can do to resist, to escape, and dreaming of a rescue but she's losing hope. She's beginning to wonder if her dreams of a Pack were just that - dreams. But her Pack hasn't given up on her. They are doing everything they can to find her and bring her home. Time is not on their side.
This is a nonstop story rollercoaster. Chloe is facing one challenge after another all while believing her Pack may have lost interest in her and her best friend is dead. The odds are against her with a duplicitous mother, a sadistic Alpha, and an unknown stalker. Even though her Pack wants her back with them, they are torn since they have a deadline approaching that will destroy their future and possibly their existence. Chloe never stops fighting, however. She is growing and becoming stronger with each day. I appreciate her character growth. My only criticism is her attitude towards Dom. She should not have gotten involved with HIS Pack until she sorted her feelings for him. It's unfair to his packmates and him. She's putting the entire Pack at risk with her resentment. Plus, she's not being fair. I know she was hurt but he was young. She's only now starting to stand up to her mother, he had the pressure of his entire family; would she have handled the situation any better?
I look forward to the final book. I want the resort to be a huge success, for the little princess to have the family and stability every child should have, for best friends to flourish, for bad parents to disappear, and for Chloe and the Pack to find their HEA. Oh, and for Chloe's fans to get more of the characters they love, and for her to finish this new arc and then go on to write even more brilliant stories!
Holden, Blake, Nathaniel, and Dominic are back in all of their delicious Alphaness. I predicted that Dominic would become a fan favorite, and he is to this fan. There’s something about a reformed bully, a man with flaws…le sigh. I connected best with him and with Blake, who is raising his niece and fighting to keep her in this safe environment. Holden is a little too perfect for me, but he and Chloe have really become close. Nathaniel… well, I admit Nathaniel is not a favorite for me. He’s fine, but not every character is going to be for me. Chloe has grit. She may be soft and sweet in many ways, but she has a core of steel, especially when she is fighting for her loves. Or sacrificing for them, which also takes inner strength. I really like her and I think she’s a well-written character. Definitely worth being the center of a book. Or two. And now there’s another cliffhanger and I’m feeling a little impatient with it. Not gonna lie, I’m going to be really irritated if she gets kidnapped in book three. Or if there’s yet another cliffhanger… But I digress. It must be difficult to write so many heroes to have distinct personalities. But Frost does it flawlessly.
MMC/FMC/MMC/MMC/MMC- Dominic, Chloe, Holden, Nathaniel, and Blake (go, Chloe! That’s a lot to have on one dance card, but our girl has totally got this.) Triggers include attempted SA, graphic violence, kidnapping, stalking, addiction (secondary character). Tropes include Dysfunctional Family FTW, Omegaverse, Reverse Harem, Adorable Moppet, Misfits, Reformed Bully, etc. Light to Medium Steam; it’s definitely not the focus of the story.

An accident happens at Misty Pines that lands Chloe and her best friend Grady in the hospital at the end of Book 1 and this book picks right up where that one ended. When Chloe comes to in the hospital, she realizes that guys that she has been falling for are nowhere to be seen and her mother basically hands her over to Louie Santaro. He mentions multiple times that he owns her and she also “owes him” but he whisks her away and holds her hostage in hopes that she will learn to submit to him or he is hoping when she goes into heat her Omega will make the choice for her. This is NOT what Chloe wants at all but the rich and powerful Alpha has Chloe at his mercy. When she tries to halt her heat from coming on, she ends up overdosing on suppressants and ends up right back in the hospital where a nurse allows her to use her cell to reach out to the Misty Pine pack for help. She does get ahold of them and they rush her away but in this book she isn’t really safe as she still has a stalker, Grady is in a coma and Louie as well as her mother are still out there trying to crush her under their feet. This book had an amazing storyline and you learn a little bit more about both Chloe’s backstory, the alphas and how they all ended up as pack and may others including the princess of the house Quinn and her trustworthy pal Sprinkles. This book made me laugh, I cried, I was angry and just wanted to give this Omega a hug to tell her she was worth it. However, the author has left us in a holding pattern while we wait to see what happens in book 3 and if Chloe will get the HEA she often writes for her characters in her books.
I am somewhat enjoying these books, but I have discovered something that affects my enjoyment. I don't really like Chloe all that much. She just annoys me, especially near the end when she makes the decisions that she does. Rather than trusting the people she wants to spend the rest of her life with, she just decides not to fight and makes her own decision to throw everything away and leave.
There are some things I liked in this story and some things that I don't. Let's start with what I have liked. I did enjoy the fact that she is building a relationship with each of them individually. She isn't just accepting them all because they are a pack, and she isn't just full steam ahead with sleeping with everyone. The development of the relationship is refreshing, even if the feelings were way too insta-love for me. It's a weird dichotomy that the author has going here.
Now, on to what I didn't like. This is a bit of a peeve for me, so when it popped up here, it was extra irritating. They are children, not pups! In this book, this usage is even worse because this isn't even a shifter book. These are all humans, and yet they are calling the children pups for who knows what reason. Even in shifter books, the babies cannot shift until they are older, so they are humans, and yet they are still called pups. I just... hate that. This book makes it worse because it uses both, and yet isn't even a shifter book.
Anyway, off of my rant. I will continue to the next book, simply to finish the story. I still definitely feel like the author tried to cram too many things into this story, and I'm getting a bit of whiplash, here.
This second book picks up right after the events of the first book. Chloe is in a harrowing situation and is a forced prisoner in a strange house. Her treacherous mother has given her away to Louis, the shady Alpha who claims her as his omega.
Of course, Chloe will eventually re-unite with the pack she believes has given up on her. And we'll see further developments of their relationship with each other. Chloe has to navigate her relationships with two of the pack alphas: Dominic her former bully and Nathaniel the pack lead and someone she hasn't even met yet in the first book. I actually love the development between her and Dominic. They're both scarred and scared of taking the next step.
This was an absolute page-turner just like the first one. As soon as one issue is resolved another pops up. Chloe has her hands full with a remorseful pack, scheming mother, evil alpha, and to make matters worse, add in a creepy stalker. The pack themselves have their own stresses as well, hoping to finish their project before some of them are forced back into their birth packs. Nathaniel is definitely feeling all of it weigh on his shoulders.
I'm so excited to see this story wrap up in the next book.

This is book two of the Alphas of Misty Pines. This was just as good as book one. I didn't want to put the book down. The tension was high throughout the book wondering what is going to happen next. My questions left over from book one was answered in this book. I was so relieved that I got the conclusions that I needed.
Louie and Chloe's mother take her away from the hospital after she was injured at Misty Pines. Louie is the gentleman that has been supporting her mother and making Chloe pay him back. With the help of her mother, Louie was able to file a claim on her stating he was courting her. She was looking for her best friend Grady, and fell into the hole where Grady lay motionless. I got a feeling Louie had something to do with Grady's fall, he wants Grady out of Chloe's life. She was missing for three weeks. What did the guys do while she was being held by Louie?
Will she escape from Louie? Will Grady make a full recovery? Will Nathaniel and Blake have to leave the pack? Will Chloe ever accept Dominic as her Alpha? What happens to Louie to make him back off? What happens to her mother when Chloe no longer pays for her fancy lifestyle? So many great questions that can only be answered by reading this book. So let's finish reading to find out!
This was such a gripping and gritty continuation of Chloe's journey and, man, I was on the edge of my seat throughout. Chloe may be an omega but she's so strong, even when she doesn't think she is. She searched for ways to get away from Louie and actually managed to find a way, with some help, sacrificed herself to save her alphas and really gave her all to her new pack. I do love that Dom has been redeeming himself and that their bond is growing again. Blake continues to impress me with his care of his niece. Nathaniel is coming through as someone she can count on and I like that about him. Holden, well, he's still perfectly nurturing ;) There are massive twists in this story, drama, tension, a fair few baddies and also some hot spice. Of course, there is one more installment to come so I'm practicing patience waiting for it to come out ;D Definitely a great story so far and I highly recommend.
Great story. Chloe is imprisioned by Louie and finds herself wasting away with no hope. She decides to swallow suppression pills and is taken to the hospital. A nurse decides to help her with a phone and she phones Kyle who will send Holden and Dominic to rescue her. She is happy to be back with Holden, Blake, Nathaniel and learning to trust Dominic again. She settles back in with the alphas but has doubts on whether she should bring Louie's wrath on them. This book was emotional, full of drama, beautiful reconnections with the men and Blakes niece, Quinn. I loved reading this story and look forward to the next book.

Well Kindle recommended this one so I ended up reading it even though I hardly remembered the first one until like halfway through. I also gave that one like 2 stars.
Only one (1) relationship progressed at all in this one, while the others remained completely stagnant. One piece of the storyline was tied up here, while a whole bunch of other questions were thrown at us right at the end because even though the author had an entire two books, they were both filled a whole lot of nothing happening while the characters just reacted (poorly) to everything going on around them.
I would not have even given this a try if I had realized it was going to end on another cliffhanger through. This did NOT need to be three books ffs.
Meh. The first one was okay, but now we're basically just getting a bit of lather, rinse, repeat with the second installment and barely any plot movement. *yawn*
At 88% in, I'm staring at another upcoming (ridiculously predictable) cliffhanger and can already spot the horrible writing that will lead up to it.
And Chloe? I don't really like her. Does her personality kind of make sense given how she was raised? Sure. Does that personality make for a good FMC? Not for me, it doesn't. I feel like she's a bit of a useless victim with a lot of double standards, very little common sense, and too much helplessness and wallowing. I'd rather read her being driven by anger at her situation and fighting back rather than this silent tears St Chloe bs.
The cliffhanger from the first installment has Chloe at the mercy of her mother and her machinations, helpless in her grip as well as the man determined to keep her. To what lengths will her Misty Pines Alphas go to get her back safely? Unfortunately, they have other obligations which they need to take care of, too. Where does she ( if she even can) fit into their lives - can she even dare to hope? More truths are revealed which may help to put things in better perspective for all who care. Looking forward to the final installment and their hard-earned HEA.
I'm not usually a fan of omegaverse stories, but I'm getting in to this one, as every one of them has their own strength to bring to the pack. She's so much stronger than just an Omega and is able to help get herself out of the horrible situations her mother keeps putting her in. But the poor woman has more than just that to deal with. I'm hoping the next story shows more of the whole pack getting a chance to work together.

I was really excited to continue the next chapter in this series. I really wanted to see how the cliffhanger wrapped up and while I was hoping for more angst there, it did wrap up pretty quickly! Now the emotional rollercoaster does continue with so many things. Will she forgive her mate ( whew that one just keeps ROLLING on doesnt it!!) Will she finally be able to move on and just BE? While one bad thing wraps up, another one rolls around! Its a fun spicy ride where you get some time to meet each one of her loves a little big more with every few chapters! Great read!.
After getting over that cliff Chloe’s life take a turn for the worst, thanks to Mummy dearest, who I call in my head Cruella, and she is again fighting for her sanity and freedom. I love Chloe’s growth and determination. I love her Alpha’s, especially Dom as I have a soft spot for bad boys, especially ones that try to make amends. At the beginning of this review I mentioned about getting over the cliff from the first book, and now I need to get over this one and patiently wait (which I don’t have much of) for book three. I NEED to know what happens next!!!
A great continuation of Chloe's journey. The slow burn is so good. I hate when the second book is just smut. I did miss the tension the stalker created in book one, it was kinda there but not because the plot was focused more on Louie and his plans. The ending was a bit of a surprise in how it all played out. Finding out the stalker was Simon her urber fan not that big a surprise but him killing Louie was a great way to deal with that problem . Then the bomb drop so to speak at the very end will be interesting to see. Curious if certain individuals know about it.

This trilogy is so great. I love this pack. They are all so well written and compelling. I care about what's happening to them. I've cried several times during this reading. I secretly hope Grady and Kyle get added to their pack. I can't wait for book 3 to come out. I read the first 2 in a few days because I couldn't put them down.

I love reading stories from this author, they are always written well. Hooked into the characters' lives right from the start of the story. It took some time getting used to, reading about Alphas, Beta's and Omegas with no shifting, but it was a great story with Awesome characters. I loved it. This is Book 2 of the series Pack Alphas of Misty Pines and I can't wait to read more.

This one took a lot for me to get through. There were too many instances of miscommunication and sometimes almost a refusal to communicate that just rubbed me the wrong way. It's not a trope I enjoy so it pulls on me when included in a book. It's truly a chaotic mess (in a good way) of a second book. I'm curious to see how some of the bits and pieces resolve themselves in the final book.
The second book in the Pack Alphas of Misty Pines kept me on the edge of my seat while seeking the answers to the cliffhanger at the end of the last book. I throughly enjoyed reading this book, I even lost track of where I was and it ended far before I was ready for it. I’m really looking forward to the next book of the series releasing to find out how everything fits together and I would highly recommend giving this book a read.
4+ stars. The plot thickens. Lots of stuff happening, kidnapped by jerk her mom sold her to, bestie in a coma, creepy stalking man, becoming close to a precious girl, flip flopping regarding Dominic (completely understandable) there's a bunch going on. That's not even touching the parents of several of them acting fools. I'm hooked, must read the next book!
I really enjoyed the charecters in this book. Good charecter development. The alphas are all different and she is adorable. I found myself happy she was with her cinnamon roll alpha. So sweet. There were some problems to work out, and the book left me wanting more. Thankfuly the next and last book is out, so you don't have to wait.

2nd book in series and you really need to read prior book. The characters continue to grow and their RH steams. The plot was intriguing and exciting and delicious. World building continues to excel and impress. Highly recommend.

OMG I am really loving this series so far its good paced and LOVE the main characters! there are some major twists and I for one can not wait for more cause this is a lovely world and some more is needed!
Chloe has moved into the main house of the Misty Pines Resort. She is going to be the omega to Blake and Holden, with a possibility of Nat and maybe Dom if she can forgive him. There is kidnapping, murder, love, hatefulness and a plethora of other emotions along with the last phone call. This is such a great series.

“I don’t know if I’d go that far. Words are just a place for the imagination to live.” Chloe takes a deep breath as she tilts her face up to the sky. “This garden is for the soul.”
