I am not sure how to write this review. I finished this book last night. The ending left me not feeling so good and then I woke up this morning still thinking about everything and how it came together.

First I really liked the premise of this story A nerdy girl starts tutoring the big jock, Jace, on campus. Jace sleeps around a lot. They are complete opposites. Jace is constantly bombarded by women so much that they have to switch the place that Maggie tutors Jace. As time goes by, Jace and Maggie become friends and then fall in love. Jace sees the true beauty in Maggie and Maggie sees the real Jace. It was all very beautiful However, in part 2 they enter the real life. I liked how the first few pages in part 2, you have no idea what is going on.

Please do not read the spoiler if you plan to read the book. I am writing the spoiler for myself so I can go back and remember what bothered me. It is not to ruin the story for you.

Sarah, the roommate and friend...I did not like her at all. Her boyfriend, Sam, was Jace's best friend. Anything that Maggie told Sarah, Sarah would tell Sam. Sarah was a big-mouth. Sam was constantly egging Jace on about trying to have sex with the virgin. Sarah and Sam were not good friends in my eyes.

Besides my issues with the characters, some scenes felt like they dragged. Part 2 was a bunch of nothing, just drawn out drama. It really could have been written in half. The first half was written okay, but the second half was choppy.

4 stars!

Part 1:
It was pretty much your typical new adult novel, but I love new adult so I liked it. It was light and sweet. I loved reading about Jace and Maggie getting together.

Part 2:
Now this is where the curve ball was thrown! It takes place two years later when the couple are hit* with some major obstacles.

Also...
Did anybody know that Jace Amaro played for Texas Tech until he was drafted this year?! He wasn't a wide receiver, but who knows maybe that's who inspired the name for our hero!

I was heading for 4 stars with this one, until we hit part 2 and then it was like a different author took over. So part 1 was 4 stars, part 2 was 2 stars, for an average of 3.

This begins as a NA/College romance and ends 3 years later.

In part 1, Maggie is a grad student and asked to tutor Jace, a star football player at Texas Tech. She's a virgin; he's a manwhore; both are emotionally unavailable for different reasons. Maggie is an interesting character -- significantly more interesting than Jace. Maggie is strong, independent, with a crappy background (father unknown, mother unstable) who still excels in all aspects of her life, except socially because of her mommy issues. Jace meets Maggie and soon finds that he's not that interested in sleeping with other women anymore. And she's so attracted to him that she can't see straight, but she refuses to pursue him given his promiscuity. Part 1 is about them figuring it out, falling in love and committing to each other, and Maggie finding the family she never had. And that should be enough for 1 book, right?

Not this time.

Part 2 starts 2 1/2 years later and we get to see what happens after the HEA. For me this is where things fell apart. Warning: things get really real. However, the writing in this part was choppy and somewhat shallow, with too much going on. This made it hard to appreciate the realism.

J and M are married, but have been infertile and this issue is breaking down their relationship. When Jace has finally had it and wants to stop trying -- and he's so inarticulate about it that it's pathetic -- they have a pretty significant argument... which leads to a series of extremely unfortunate events... and some questions as to whether or not they'll continue as a couple.

Despite the fact that it's told from 2 POVs, this book is really about Maggie, who comes out a general winner -- she's not only strong, kind, smart, she's quite forgiving and pretty patient. And she gets what she wants in the end. Despite the one issue I have with her and Jared -- frankly I found him creepy -- I liked her.

Spoiler alert here, but I have to say it: cheating is a dealbreaker for me and the idea that Karma comes back to bite Jace when he wants to stray (even though he didn't exactly, it's clear that something was going on between he and Amanda since there was texting involved), was kinda poetic. I couldn't feel bad for him. He went from a shallow college student to a shallow and angry adult. And his brother's actions in part 1 and part 2 were questionable and creepy... basically took advantage of her at a very vulnerable point in her life. He was a douche. Frankly, what was Maggie thinking? She deserved better than this strange family.

I loved itttttttt!!!

This was one of those stories that touched my heart.

It got me thinking how we take most things for granted, never realizing that everything could be taken from us in a blink of an eye...

I cried and I laughed, and I was an emotional mess after reading it, but I loved every second of it.

THANK YOU ANN FOR SENDING ME THIS BOOK:))))

This book. I don't even know where to begin. I teetered between giving it two and three stars, but I just couldn't get over my anger. So, two stars it is. I loved it, but at the same time I am so pissed off about it that I kinda hate it. *le sigh*

Here is the deal: Ann Everett made me love these characters. I mean she really made me love these characters, but then she had to throw in (what I see as) one seriously unnecessary extra bit of drama, and it ruined both characters for me. Every bit of character growth for both the FMC and the MMC just completely flew out the window with one tiny little half-assed plot twist.

If you've read any other reviews, you will know that the book is broken up into two parts. The way the book is written, it almost seems like the second part is an extra-long (and hyper-dramatic) epilogue to an utterly lovable HEA New Adult novel. Don't get me wrong, I liked the second part of the story, even if it was slightly rushed in the beginning. It breathed new life into a fairly common theme in NA books. And let's face it; a good cry can be really cathartic. But the honest emotion it created initially was ruined by one half-assed, and ill-conceived plot twist created by Jace's "almost" crappy decision. I saw it only as a cheap ploy to garner a bit of extra drama, and more than anything else I felt like it was a letdown to two characters that were otherwise lovingly and beautifully created.

The pitiful thing is that I think the whole second part would have been much stronger without his stupid choice... I was crying already. I'm serious, I was fucking gutted, but then this immature character weakness was thrown in and it just pissed me off. It was just adding insult to injury. Literally. Nobody needs that shit.

I think, at this point, I would read Ann Everett's grocery list. Both of her books that I've head have been such an absolute pleasure! Tell Me a Secret made me laugh, cry, and everything in between! It's very much a rollercoaster of emotions, but what an amazing ride it was!

Maggie is such a strong character, and I loved her immediately! She was so fierce and strong. What a relief! It didn't take long for me to become completely wrapped up in her and Jace's story. Then part two threw me for a loop!

This book is SO good, y'all. Ann Everett left no stone unturned with this book! It has all of the elements that you want and expect in a love story and then some that you weren't expecting and catch you so off guard! You guys really do not want to miss out on Tell Me a Secret!

Omg I loved it, it was so refreshing and such a surprise! review to come when I'm at my computer

*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This was a real surprise for me. It started off and I instantly fell in love with the characters.Maggie is a strong fiery woman who seems unaffected by Jace on the outside, which makes him all the more determined to get to know her. Somewhere along the way he forgets the initial aim and they become friends.

I was really enjoying this story but it was kind of progressing in a predictable manner for me, until part 2 and then it came out of nowhere. The plot developed in a way i totally wasn't expecting but added the depth to the story that just made me love it more. A great first read for me of this new author.

omg I loved this book I couldn't put it down and I didn't want to finish it :),
I really fell in love with the characters and the story. I'm so glad that it didn't end with them being married we got to see married life and unfortunate circumstances that occur.

what love feels like by Sam

"dude, it's like a fart. you don't even you need to do it,but all of a sudden, it crawls up the crack of your ass then the stink hits you"

I will definitely be recommending this book you think it's a cliche love story but it feels like more :) and you never want it to end.

Part 2 was a jubbled confusing mess. It would of been better if we saw the fight, the OW pursuing the H and then had his POV of buying condoms, on his way to cheat and then changing his mind and turning around. The way its written just confuses me. Also the H never admits what he planned to do or the kiss. The h is all like i dont care it doesn't matter and it ends....it would been better if they had an honest conversation about everything

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

CONTAINS SPOILERS.

Rating: I give the book 4 of 5 stars

The book is sweet, dramatic, funny and a little bit irritating.
The story begins cute and interesting, how they start liking each other but first deny it and then try to know if the other one feels the same and how happy they are after they discover they do. Then all the happy couple thing starts and it is still sweet and then it seems as if Maggie’s dream comes true when he asks her to marry him and it seems to be a perfect love story. But, as nothing is ever perfect, it begins to disintegrate and becomes something new. Years later the problems start when they try to have a baby and don't success. And start using fertility drugs and the pressure starts with Jace feeling as if he isn't man enough because he can’t give her a child. And then everything escalates.

I liked the first part quite much. The second part wasn't bad and I’m sure some people will like it but it wasn't really my cup of tea. I mean, it is reality and all but I would have made many things different that Maggie and Jace so it was a bit frustrating to see how the story developed after that. But I liked how Maggie manipulated the way their story developed and the end was cute again.
I also liked the Quotations at the beginning of the chapters. They always gave an impression of what would happen in the chapter. And it always brought me to laughter how Maggie goggles everything, even the most intimal things. That and the church marquee announcements are so hilarious.

About the characters: I liked Maggie from the start. She is strong and independent but not so confident in herself. She always goggles everything and is intelligent and hard working.
Jace is sexy and funny. He is really self-confident and arrogant. But I wouldn't start something with, as Maggie says it, a Man-whore. Even when he is starting to fall for her, he still goes to some other girls to sleep with them. He later changes and becomes homely but after some problems he almost returns to his old self.
I didn’t like Jace from the start but after some time started to like him. But after all that happens and when he sends Maggie away and wants her to leave her house, I didn’t like him anymore. Who gives him the right to chase her out of her own home she wanted to live in and paid for?
And after I knew he almost cheated on her I thought maybe she would have been better of with Jared, Jace’s brother. At least he was always nice to her and seems to be more responsible and balanced. I tough Jace was such an asshole. He gets into a crash and gets paralyzed on his way to sleep with another woman and cheat on Maggie. I didn't think he deserved it because no one deserves to have an accident but it is so stupid of him. If he wouldn’t have wanted to cheat on her, he probably wouldn’t have had the accident. And it is such an irony that because of him almost cheating, he can't ejaculate anymore.
At first, as I thought he had cheated on her, I thought what a jerk Jace was. After I learned he "only" almost cheated on her I still tough he was a jerk but wasn't as mad as I was at the beginning. I still think he is an idiot. But at least he knows how stupid he is and regrets it. But still i wouldn’t just forgive him as easily as Maggie does. Anyways, I was happy that they had a happy ending after all.
I can understand he was in pressure because he felt as if he couldn’t give Maggie a child and all she tried was to get one. It was also Maggie’s fault for getting so obsessed to have a child but still it isn't an excuse to almost cheat. As Jared says, he shouldn't give her the fault, it still was his decision.
I don’t understand why some men think their wife won't love them anymore if they can't have children, there are so many alternatives. You can adopt one if everything else doesn’t work. Or, as so many offer throughout the story, you can use the sperms of another man.
They should have talked about it. If you really love each other you can get over the not having a child and the not walking thing. The almost cheating, I wouldn't get over so easily, on the one side he didn't really cheat on her but on the other side if he hadn't have the accident he would have done it and maybe not only once.

Altogether it is a thrilling book with almost all that makes a contemporary romance interesting and worth reading.

** DEBBIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW **

A fantastic ride I didn’t see coming but didn’t want to get off!!!!

I opened this book up and seriously was drawn into the story right away. I was expecting it to be your normal good girl and man-whore that gets together type of story but boy was I wrong.

This book was full of twists and turns and left me yelling at my kindle and wanting to toss it against the wall a few times. Seriously, Ann Everett threw some major plot twists that had me yelling OH MY GOD!!!!

The story is fast paced and my only problem with it is that a few times I felt it was rushed a little bit and wondered if I missed a page or two. Other than that the story was original and had me hooked. The author did a fantastic job with the connection between the two main characters and you actually felt like you personally knew them. They were funny and realistic. I wasn’t rolling my eyes saying yeah ok like that really happened. I felt the joy they felt and I really felt their pain.

Maggie Fielding was a nerdy girl that came from a rough home. Her mother didn’t want her and she had no clue who her father was so she put all her efforts into finishing school and making a life for herself. Then you have Jace Sloan. He is a famous football all-star and your college man-whore.

“He was worse that a man-whore. He was a man-slut. A man-skank. A skanky-slutty-man-whore.”

Maggie was hired to tutor Jace and from the moment they met you could tell there was an attraction towards each other. I loved that the author did not rush their relationship but let it build. Maggie is not your typical geeky anti-social girl. She knows what she wants and can’t be fooled with Jace’s smiles and flirty ways. The chemistry between them was Hot and some of the things he says will have you needing to change your panties.

“He raised a brow and flashed his trademark grin. “I like it when you talk nerdy.”

“I didn’t take time to work up a written test for you, so I’m going to give it to you orally.” Damn, I’d love for you to give it to me orally.”

“Before I’m done with you, you’ll be thanking God and Google.”

Just when you think you know how it is all going to play out Bam!!! The author hits you with a major plot twist. If you are looking for a book that has humor but full of angst and a couple plot twists then you don’t want to miss this one.

I consider the whole tutor and student storyline to be a classic in romance. It reminds me of a beauty and the geek concept, where the supposed "nerd", whoever the character may be, gets the pretty boy or pretty girl, and the pretty boy or pretty girl sees the inner beauty and most times hidden outer beauty that the other character possesses, causing him or her to fall in love. And in this story, that was entirely the case.

But just because something is considered a classic does not mean that the concept was overused or old in this book. On the contrary, the storyline for this book is actually quite good. My only problem was with the execution. This story has amazing potential to rise even farther than it already has.

Considering the character of Jace, I liked him. I liked the fact that he was cocky and, almost uncomfortably, an ass. I mean, that was who he is. A guy so full of himself that when he finds out a girl is not treating him like he is used to be treated by other girls he attempts to change her mind about him. Attempts to get that reaction out of her. But I could tell that under all that was a sweet man who would do anything to protect this girl who makes him question his own self. This girl who is like no other.

I also really liked his counterpart, Maggie, who he so endearingly refers to as Magpie. Isn't that cute? Anyway, I can relate to the whole wild red hair thing. So I definitely knew immediately that she was going to hold a place in my heart. I just wish her love for Jace hadn't hit her as hard so early on. Considering her past, I kind of wanted it to be a surprise to her when she finally realized she truly did love him. And then I wanted her to be scared to death of that. She does not want to end up like her mother, and I wanted her to run away from him and then finally give in.

As to the two parts of this book, they could easily be two different books. One focusing on how the two characters met and possibly how they became engaged, focusing also primarily on Maggie and the issues from her past, and the second focusing on Jace's accident and Maggie's letters to him and how they helped him cope with both his paralysis and potentially losing her due to his decision for her to leave him.

There are some beautifully and funnily written scenes throughout this story. But with some better transitioning and some good old-fashioned editing, this story could be one to truly make an impact in the romance genre.

Tell Me a Secret is a wonderful heartwarming story of Jace Sloan and Maggie Fielding told in two parts: when they first met and after they were married. Jace has it all, good-looks, a college football star, and a family that is too good to be true. Whereas, Maggie has a mother who doesn't want her and a father who has abandoned her when she was born. Maggie is super smart and intelligence. She knew that Jace was bad news except that she wanted to tutor him just once and call it off. She even told herself that Jace wouldn't even looked at her twice.

Maggie was ready to blow Jace off from tutoring him except that Jace stayed one step ahead of her. It was more of an insult to him that Maggie was going to dump him instead of him dumping her but as he came to know Maggie, he was playing for keeps.

Part II is about Jace and Maggie's married life. After trying to conceive a baby, Jace got tired of tiring. It was sex without emotion between them and it was taking a toll on their marriage. Jace got into an accident that left him crippled. As Jace made the decision to push Maggie away, Maggie set up a plan to win Jace back with her letters telling him her secrets.

Readers/Listeners are going to love the part when Maggie gotten drunk and Jace showed up at her place. Another scene is when Maggie is giving herself all the reasons to avoid Jace by chanting that Jace is a man-whore.

I love Part I of Tell Me a Secret. It was the courtship between Maggie and Jace. As much as Maggie is trying to avoid Jace, Jace was set on winning Maggie's heart. Part II was just the reverse. Jace didn't think that he could offer Maggie anything more after being crippled from the accident. Maggie wasn't going to give up on Jace and their marriage. She planned to show Jace that he is the only one for her.

The narrator, Sarah Palevec does a wonderful job in narrating the story of Jace and Maggie. There are so much feeling between Jace and Maggie. I fell in love with these two characters and they and the story are going to be very memorable to me.

I would have given this story five stars except in Part II, the interaction between Jace and Maggie was through the letters. This book deserve 4.5 stars.

This book definitely pulls at your heart strings. I laughed and I cried and I was so sad to see the story come to an end.

The story of the book worm and the smoking hot jock, two very distinct opposites that are put into a situation that neither one is too happy about. Can two people from very different worlds meet on middle ground, start a friendship and maybe find love.

Jace Sloan is the smoking hot jock who knows he can have any girl that he wants and takes advantage of that. It is always consensual and he makes sure they both are satisfied but it is just sex, no strings and no feelings. When Jace is told he has to have a tutor to help him pass his class, he goes along with it but doesn’t plan on taking it too seriously as evident when he arrives late to their first meeting, because he ran into a girl and couldn’t pass up the offer.

Maggie Fielding is finishing up her Master’s in Nursing and working. She is a very dedicated student, she has had a tough life and has worked very hard to get where she is and has her goals outlined in regards to climbing the ladder for her job. Maggie was not impressed when she met Jace at their first tutoring session; he showed up late and then offered a lame excuse about a car problem that she knew was a lie. She was all for helping people but only if they wanted to help themselves. At that first meeting Maggie began to plan her out so that she didn’t have to spend any more time with Jace than necessary.

Jace the man-whore and Maggie the princess virgin, neither one had any idea the impact that this meeting would have on their future, in their lives, careers and love.

I LOVED this book, the storyline keeps you guessing. Yes it is a love story, but it has drama, unexpected death, unknown history discovered, the ever important lesson of not to judge a person by their appearance or their history, and the importance of family and friends when tragedy strikes. Sometimes love and support is all you need to make it out the other side stronger and other times you need a swift kick in the ass to remember what you need to be fighting for.

The author did an amazing job in writing this story, the characters are lovable and relatable, even with great tragedy she was able to give us hope. Thank you for an AMAZING book and I can’t wait to read more of your work.

So wonderful. A bad boy reforms with a twist. My only issue is the ending is rushed meaning we have this wonderful progression of their love from being annoyances to friends to love. Each sharing secrets and becoming better people in each other’s lives. Maggie opened up and accepted love while jace learned to love and be passionate and supportive for only one woman. From this we quickly have them go from exploring their love, to two years later to tragedy,to angst and than HE A and all that in about 150 pages. With such the beautiful build-up that quick progression was sad to see. Jace begins as a man who’re one who uses women like Kleenex and than Maggie enters his world and has him reconsider his life and who he is. Maggie questions herself as well. They begin to get close and although there are bumps along the road, they deal with it with maturity and love. The love rolls off the pages as we get to go through their relationship with them. I love Jared and Jace. Too precious as brothers and to see the sibling rivalry was great. Have was a sweet guy just lost until Maggie. Maggie changed him. Made him open his eyes. Maggie began to be more comfortable in her skin and started to realize what love was. Jace made her see this and feel loved and treasured. The second part of the book was filled with angst that Jace is justified to have. He needs to work through the changes in his life and his choice although misguided was a beautiful thought and sacrifice no matter how silly it was. Maggie took it wonderfully and I was glad she knew what was happening. As the two work through the issues separately they needed to become strong apart to help each other together. I love Maggie’s stubbornness. Love that love glowed from each action and sacrifice they both made. A beautiful love story that will have you smile and cry as you see them go through turtles that bring them closer. I just wish the second part was longer or a second book so the natural progression we saw in the first part could be seen there as well. A wonderful couldn’t put down love story for your heart to soar with.

Now this was a surprise! TELL ME A SECRET by Ann Everett is divided in two parts, taking place several years apart, but I absolutely did not expect the turn this story made in its second part – and I loved it!! The title fits the book just perfectly and it is going to be real hard to write a review without spilling any of these secrets.

Maggie Fielding is a senior at college with a brain bigger than her chest size, is hiding behind baggie clothes and still a virgin – Jace Spalding is a handsome jock at college, playing football and screwing every woman that comes up in his path. Jace has a family out of the storybook; loving parents, a wonderful big brother and even a dog – Maggie only has a mother who never wanted her. Apart from visiting the same college they hardly have anything in common.

When her professor asks her to tutor Jace, Maggie is anything but delighted. She accepts but decides to ditch him after a few sessions. Only she didn’t reckon with Jace’ pride: He has never met a woman who was able to resist his good-looks and charms and that makes him even more determined to have her. Instead of quitting after a few weeks, weeks turn into months, Maggie even gets to meet Jace’ loving family and somewhere along the way while getting to know each other they become friends and start developing feelings for one another.
Their lives continue like a fairytale and they are happy – until tragedy strikes.
Is their love – Maggie’s love – strong enough to overcome it all?

The first part of this story runs very smoothly and kind of languished a bit and was predictable – then came part two out of nowhere and I was completely knocked over and blown away – no way was I expecting this turn of the story! It goes deep and had me in tears, which doesn’t happen that often to me while reading.

So I’m giving part one 3 stars and part two 5 well-deserved and heartbreaking stars, which sums up to a total of 4 stars.
I’d highly recommend it to every romance lover for this second part alone!

Rating: 3.5 stars

Maggie is a beautiful, organized, smart, redhead who has plans for her plans. Jace is the college jock that Maggie described best as "he's a piece of candy, all the girls want a piece of him." I was intrigued by their building friendship that started with tutoring sessions. This buildup had me rooting for them because I fell in love with them as they fell in love with each other. I felt left out of situations and between chapters and sometimes paragraphs, the story would jump through time. Maggie wishes her childhood had been different and is longing for love, yet fearful of it at the same time. Jace avoids it by not letting himself connect on a deeper level with anyone. . .until Maggie. I laughed and cried while reading this novel and my fears of Jace's actions "nearly" occurred. Which leads to...Part Two of this novel was my favorite part. I felt that Jace and Maggie's hearts truly opened up in this part and when the ending came I sat for about five minutes trying to grasp that I'd just read the final sentence. I was left wanting more, feeling okay, but unfulfilled. The secrets. . .I wanted more. So much was left unsaid, secrets still being kept. I like the journey Ann took me on with Jace and Maggie, and although parts felt choppy I was still able to form a connection with the characters. I appreciated that we got history about Maggie and Jace, about their upbringings and sharing of traditions (or lack of) and the importance of these traditions to both of them. Also the searching for answers was a healing step for Maggie that was empowering for her which I enjoyed observing. I'm interested in reading more into their story, maybe they'll be a second novel on another character?! This was my first Ann Everett novel and I'm sure it won't be my last. Give this a try and find your next crush!

There were so many different things that I liked about this book but only one thing that I did not like. I really liked all of the differents quotes about love at the beginning of each chapter. Some of them really had me thinking about how love is different for a guy and a girl. I also liked how this book didn't go the way that romance books usually go. Even though in the beginning Jace wanted to add Maggie as a conquest and the fact that he was unable to was refreshing. Even though he was still a player when there was nothing going on between the two of them, he became less and less of one and would feeling guilty when he would be with a girl just showed that he was slowly starting to mature and really care for Maggie. I liked how he would ask her for a secret as his way of getting to know the real her. Of course they do get married but the events that happened after they were married were things I was not expecting. Since the accident that happened was due to infidelity, it just made me so sad. The way that Maggie made Jace fall back in love with her was genius even though it took him long enough. The one thing that I did not like was the ending. I felt like it just ended. I would like a novella or something letting me know how things worked for the new family. Maybe Jared will get his own story and I can find out that way.

Maggie Fielding was ask to be a tutor to Jace Spalding. Jace is a jock at college. he plays football and all the girls love him and he has a new woman all the time. Jace don't believe in love, relationship, or keeping the same woman. He figures life is too short for that. Maggie is a beautiful nurse, but she hides behind baggie clothes and no makeup. She also love to ballroom dance with her gay partner Marc, who is also a very dear friend. Maggie figures she will start this job and then let everyone know Jace isn't serious about learning and quite the job. Jace gets wind of this and decides to really apply his self and he starts to bring his grades up. He takes Magie to meet his parents and they also study at his home. Maggie is really drawn to his parents mainly because her mother never wanted her and she didn't know who her father was. Over the months they spend together they really get to know each other and Jace is starting to be attracted to Maggie. When he goes to her dance recital he sees her as a beautiful woman he wants. This story is wonderful and it has alot going on. When tragedy strikes Maggie and Jace both have some tough decisions to make. You will love this love story. This book does contain some explicit sexual scenes so I know it won't be for everyone.

Wonderful story of Jace and Maggie. Jace is a college jock/manwhore who needs tutoring. Maggie is his tutor, she is a nurse going for her masters. Jace is somewhat put off that she doesn't succumb to his charms since he has never been turned down. She becomes a challenge to him and although she wants to stop tutoring him, he stays one step ahead of her to keep her.

This book is told in two parts. Part one is their getting to know each other. Part two is 2 and a half years later. They are married and the stress of trying to get pregnant has strained their marriage to the point of pushing them apart. A bad decision on Jaces part puts him in the wrong place at the wrong time. The accident makes him push her away so she can have the life and children she wants and needs, that he can no longer give her. She sets a plan to get him back, sending him letters every day and slowly wears him down until the thought that he has lost her forever makes him ask her to come back to him. In coming back to him she gives him the greatest gift and they are able to be the family they always wanted to be.

I was given this audio book in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book. The story was your basic college jock has sex with any girl that looks his way, but then changes when the right girl comes along. Maggie called Jace on his actions numerous times, which I liked. She made him work for the relationship and he really did change his ways at that point. Part One ends with the HEA. Yea! Then there's Part 2, which is quite different. Life really threw some stuff at them to challenge them. I read other reviews that said the second part seemed rushed to them. I didn't have a problem with it. I felt the anguish of both Maggie and Jace and the resolution was handled in an interesting way.
The narration was excellent for the most part.Sarah Pavalec just did one thing that drove me crazy. She would speak for one of the characters, there would be a pause and then a "he said/she said/he asked, etc.. To me the inflection was very odd for the "he said" part. That's probably being really picky, but it drove me nuts. I would recommend this book, though. I really liked it.

Wow, this has got to be one of the best story's I've read all year. The story starts off with Maggie, a smart graduate student being asked to tutor Jace, the star football player and typical playboy. She's a no nonsense, not easily affected kind of fir who finds Jace's lifestyle and lack of respect for other peoples time irritating.

Maggie was picked to tutor Jace for a dual purpose but one of the purposes gets pushed to the background when Jace starts falling for her and all bets are off.

This book has two parts, which was a good idea instead of doing two different books. The second part is when all the secrets start to come together. I was not expecting the tragedy and stubbornness that followed but it was very engrossing and I loved it.

I was very pleased with the way Ms. Everett tied all the ends together in such a way that we were made to think about how, who and why of the whole story.

Great job!

One word to describe this book WOW!!!!

I am glad i asked for this book to review.I couldn't put the book down till i finished it.Tell Me A Secret(you will understand the title when you read the book:)) is a delightful heartwarming book with every emotion mixed. There are places where i was smiling and places where tears rolled down my cheeks.

Moving on to characters. This is a story centering the couple jace and maggie.I loved maggie's character especially her love for jace when things get difficult, her strong hold on jace and her belief in them.

The first half of the story goes very smooth and the second half is where the other shoe drops.

I am going to stop my review here before i spill the whole story.

I would definitely recommend this book to read.

Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

I really enjoyed this book!!

The story starts off with Maggie and Jace on an journey to find happiness.

Maggie is a smart graduate, her professor asks if she could tutor football player Jace. She's not really happy with the idea and plans to ditch him after a couple of sessions. Jace is a man
whore, with girls constantly flocking to him, he can take his pick. Maggie seems to resist his charms, which makes him more determined to bed her. Somewhere along the way they both start to develop feelings for each other but Maggie doesn't want to be like her with an endless string on boyfriends.

The second part of the book is a shocker, It took my breath away, really wasn't expecting it. I felt so sorry for the two of them.

I love both Maggie and Jace, Maggie is strong and feisty. The love she has for Jace is magical.

5 amazing stars!! If you know me you know I rarely write reviews on books I read.. For me a review is something that only certain books deserve and this book deserves nothing but the best reviews.. I almost didn't read this book but I'm so glad I did because it would have been a mistake not to.. Maggie and Jace broke my heart but in a good way and the book took a turn I DID NOT expect.. I was racing to finish it because I wanted to see how it ended and it didn't disappoint the only thing that would have made it better would have been if Jace could walk again, but this book touched my heart and was what true romance is.. And as much as I love my dirty books this was beautiful to read so thank you Ann Everett for giving us a piece of you!!

This book has me all kinds of worked up

So, it is for that reason I give it five stars. So many times I wanted to just put it down and cut my losses, but I just couldn't. So I kept reading and getting sucked deeper and deeper. I wanted to slap characters, throw my kindle, scream obscenities (which I think I actually did), laugh, and cry. Seriously, if a book can make all this happen then doesn't it deserve five damn stars? You might as well read this book because if you don't it will bug you until you do.

This was a really great refreshing read. This book was in two parts which I loved.

Jace is a man tart. He's got women dropping to their knees at him. Maggie's fantastic. She's smart, fiesty and inexperienced. Jace wants Maggie but will they have a happy ever after? I loved the second part of this story. The twists and turns were great.

This was a really great romantic story. Funny parts and sad parts made this into a gripping read.

This is a challenging review to write because I did not love the first half of this book and I seriously considered putting it down but I am so glad I stuck it out because the second half was really beautiful. I cried and I loved the way it ended. I had my doubts about Maggie and Jace from the beginning but by the end of the novel my heart swelled and I was so thrilled for their HEA! A surprising and brave novel, definitely worth a read.
