The example Problems give students experience in visualizing and sketching a problem, extracting information from a problem statement, forming a strategy for a solution, and checking the validity of the solution they obtain. The practice Problems and Chapter Review problems can be assigned for students to solve using the same methods learned using Critical thinking and Going further problems at the end of each chapter will challenge even the best students.
