Single mom, Beth Martin is doing her best raising her daughter Jules on her own after moving back to the small town she grew up in. She's been welcomed back by old friends and a decent job at the Springs resort. Things are going well, but something—or someone—is missing.
When sexy rock star, Slade Black comes to town, it just might be what Beth is looking for. But exciting rock stars aren't really suited for the small town lifestyle, or for single moms. Beth has to think of her daughter above all else. Even her own desires. But Slade isn't one to give up on what he wants, and Beth is exactly what he wants. And if he isn’t mistaken, he is exactly what Beth wants, too.
But when Beth sets aside her responsibilities and takes a chance on him, the consequences might be more than either of them can handle.

I got this book early I got so into I read it in two hours 15mins to be exact slade is a great character he reminds me of my ex boyfriends I dated couple years ago but he and Beth make a perfect couple. And Sam being a good aunt to Beth's daughter Jules . I like how everyone helps put each other and the way it's written you can tell it's going to get hotter and. Sexy and the emotion you can feel it in real life. Your an awesome writer and I wish I could write as well as you and make such wonderful stories honestly I never really got into reading as much I do till now I love the story line with each character and it amazes me how there a happiness with every everyone love all the characters and can't wait for Cameron to have her baby. I wonder if it's a boy or girl. Having a baby shower but no sec of baby was revealed hmm can't wait for next and furture awesome work
Oh my gosh, this is my favorite so far! The only problem I have is that I wanted to just sit and read and get sucked into the story instead of work!
Beth is a single mom and puts her own dreams and desires on hold in order to have a good life for her daughter. When Slade aka Handsome rock star comes back to relax at the springs he only has one thing on his mind and that is to find Beth.
Beth and Slade start things out slow but boy do things heat up! Slade even likes Beth's daughter and enjoys talking with her about his past until that backfires on him and she goes missing.
This was the most amazing story and I can not wait for this Summer for the next book in the series to come out. I love being able to stay up to date on all the people that work at The Springs and the ones in town. Everyone is so easy to love and they make this story amazing. You will really really love a new lady (Mona) in this book. She is an older lady but will crack you up! I am very excited to see more of her in books to come.
Mrs. Elena... you are so talented! I can't ever seem to get enough of your books.
It is a pleasure to review Elena's books. Her characters are upbeat, fun, sassy, and contemporary. No damsel is in enough distress that she loses who she is in the process. This particular story is one I identified with, not because of the main characters, but because of a supporting character; Mona. I identify with her pain. I assume Mona suffers from Osteoarthritis, whereas I am advanced stage Rheumatoid Arthritis. Like Mona, I go on, get therapy but never am without this friend we call pain. It is a constant. Elena's "springs" sure makes me want to soak up some of that healing for myself.
It is wonderful how Elena always has a compromise for her characters. Instead of something not working and walking away, there is a happy ending because both characters worked for it. They put their all in the relationship. It wasn't one giving up everything. More people should value their relationships as much.
Thanks Elena for yet another installment of this wonderful "working" family that I have come to love so much.
I am loving The Springs series by Ms. Aitken. In every book, we are introduced to the group of characters that we will no doubt be following in another book. This time it was Beth's journey. We first met Beth through her daughter Jules. Beth is trying to create a good life for herself and her daughter while making sure she is setting a good example for her daughter. Now Elena also brings back Slade, the band member that Beth had flirted with in Sam's story. the fireworks between the characters that was present before is now back in full force. Adding into the mix, Slade's semi burnout stage in his life with the band and Jules showing some rebellion, we see Beth struggling between what she wants and what she feels she needs to do. I would have liked to see more depth with the rebellious act of Jule but overall great job !!!
Getting to read this book early was great. Winter's Burn is Beth and Slade's love story! Having met before they are attracted to each other; however, Beth is concerned about her daughter and how could a famous rock star fit into to her quiet life Then Slade decides to leave the band and comes to the hotel where Beth works. The attraction slowly turns into passion. The Springs are magic! I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend this and any book Elena Aitken writes. Hope you enjoy as much as I did and anxiously await the next book in this series.
Winter's Burn in a great addition to The Spring's Series. Slade and Beth were both looking for more in their lives , but worried more about others than themselves. They wanted "it all" and were afraid to admit it. Thank God for Mona! Quite the matchmaker! Trent and Dylan may want to keep her around. She is quite a character! I look forward to seeing what is in store for Slade, Beth and Jules in this Series.
Another great one in the series. I really hoped Beth would find her match after the last book, Falling into Forever. I wondered if she could do better than Rhys (lucky Kari) but I am happy to report that this book doesn't disappoint. A great escape you won't be able to put down. So the question is, who's next to find love in the Springs?
Loved the characters Slade and single mom Beth. Their story is a good one. Slade will surprise you, he's not at all what you would expect. I am happy I had the opportunity to read the early release of this book. Love this series! I am looking forward to the next one. The best part is the overlapping stories of characters we've already met.
This man is not afraid of kids! He is interested in Beth and her 12 year old daughter doesn't deter him. I've never been a single mom, but totally loved that Slade like the daughter as much as the mother! Romantic situations and some drama keep me hooked on this story.
Have your favorite, iced, summer drink handy...you'll need it! This is by far Elena's hottest novel yet. I received this book as an advanced reader copy from the author.
It was another cute love story from Elena Aitken. Beth drove me crazy though. I was getting tired of hearing (reading, I guess) “I can’t date, I’m a single mother” or “I have a daughter, dating is wrong”. Being a single parent, I understand that kids come first, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t date. It’s just a matter of dating the right person (or trying to, I never figured that part out). At least Beth found Simon/Slade. He was the right person for their family, and Beth and Jules were the thing that Slade was looking for to fill the emptiness he didn’t know he had. A good story all around.
I downloaded this series onto my Kindle thinking I could take my time reading it (slowly, putting it down for a week, etc.), especially on our weekly visit to my in-laws! That's another story!!! However, I have found myself sucked into the lives of all the characters and I really love how the author sets up the next story in the series...great little cliffhangers or bluffhangers?!? Anyway, these are fun and enjoyable stories for those one-hour (each way) weekly road trips. Good read!
Slade has taken two months off from touring, & he meets Beth, who had sparked his interest a few months back. Beth works at the local hotel & is just trying her best at staying focused on her life and daughter. She doesn’t want to just be another notch on Slade’s bedpost.
They end up going skating, where she changes her mind for just one night, or so she thinks.
This was a short, somewhat predictable story, but still enjoyable to read.
A single working Mom has trouble adjusting to new job when a Rock Star from the past arrives at the resort where she works. Enjoyed the conflicts that pop up as his attraction to her deepens and she runs from her attraction to him. Interesting how her daughter ends up introducing the two and how the attractions boom. Language and story line appropriate foer all ages. Great read.

Slade, a burnt out musician, needs some R&R to regroup and make some decisions. Beth is a single mom and is a therapist at the resort Slade visits. Cedar is the small town this story takes place in where everyone knows each other along with your business. Good story where there's no cheating or cliffhanger and ends on a happy note. Enjoy 🤓
Every book in this series and the castle lodge series are without a doubt brilliant, there all different but all equally as good. I love Slade and Beths story, and how Jules is , Definitely recommend this series
Ugh I really didn’t like either of these characters and I did not want them to get together. Beth in particular I found contrary, making statements about what she won’t do and half a page later she’s off doing them. DNF this one at 66%. Glad it was free.
Another great book in this series of the springs by Elena Aitken. Elena has done another great job with this series and one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Very enjoyable! I liked his escapism and the struggle that left him dealing with, and the way his needs complemented hers even if their lifestyles seemed so opposite. Great romance, loved the breakfast scene after he stayed over.
These stories have been pretty delicious and this one is no exception. I love the drama and the hotness factor, I'm not into "rock stars" but this guys ok! I absolutely love Mona!!
They had exchanged heated glances at the summer solstice festival, but now Slade was back, and things had heated up, definitely, between them. However, he was a Rock Star and she was solo parent of a 11 year old girl. How were they anything more than a fling?
After reading the previous book I knew I had to read this one. I loved the way the story played out. I guess I need to go get the next book. Great writing and good storyline.
Interesting read, but missing a few pieces of the story for me. Enjoyable characters, and I felt for them, but the ending kind of left something to be desired (it sped through the resolution part, straight to HEA). Standalone, part of a series, HEA.
Good read. Glad things worked well for them. It would be nice if a normal people could afford a relaxing place like that. Could do without the steamy parts, not as bad as some books, skip over them anyhow.b
