Mali Jones, poised and polished, is at her wit's end with her seemingly perfect fiancé, Diondre Clark, one of Garden City's most elite. While he indulges in his bustling career, Mali finds herself increasingly isolated and frustrated, especially after stumbling upon an eye-opening email that reveals his hidden secrets. When Diondre goes away on a business trip, determination ignites within Mali. Rather than sulking at home, she seizes the opportunity to break free from the confines of her unfulfilling engagement.
As she embarks on a whirlwind adventure through the glitzy underbelly of Garden City, Mali discovers new friends, unexpected romances, and her own long-buried desires. From luxurious parties to clandestine rendezvous, Mali learns to embrace her individuality and showcase her vibrant spirit. However, as the allure of her newfound freedom spins her into a web of enticing games and fervent encounters, she is faced with a How far will she go before confronting the truth about her relationship with Diondre?
How it started: 🎶You made a fool of me. Tell me why…..🎶
How it ended: 🎶 I only want you to love. I do t want nobody else 🎶
Mali said two can play that game after she learns that her fiancé has been living a double life. After stumbling upon a secret invitation to a sex club, she follows him to see what he has to hide and sis was not ready!! Her fiancé Diondre has been getting down and dirty and it’s clear to Mali that she’s only around to make him look good for his political campaign.
While at the sex club she runs into Atlas Boss and let’s just say he got that last name honestly! These two embark on a fast paced world wind romance and I was here for the way Atlas was coming behind her.
This was a decent read. The story was a bit predictable and could have used a bit more development but if you’re looking for a quick read with mild drama you may enjoy this read.
This book was picked by my BOOKCLUB as a reading sprint. Atlas was not letting up and I loved that. This book was a nice and quick read. We had a great discussion and I will be reading more books by this author.
The was good snack . Small but fulfilling. I got this book during the Brae event and I will be reading more from this author . Mali was a strong FMC and I enjoyed her .
Story had potential but lacked development. If you’re gonna write a story go in with your all or just don’t write it. This subject matter needed more pages and fleshed out scenes
Catching your fiance in the act & deciding to get your lick back ?? Yea , I’m all for it lol this was a quick , fast paced , drama filled , spicy read. My only negatives… I usually don’t mind grammatical errors but the authors team should have taken the time to edit this before it was released. The storyline was definitely interesting. I just wish the formatting was a little better. All in all… this was a good palette cleanser.
Diondre got a little too cocky and it bit him in the butt. ALL THE PUNS... I love Mali and how she did not play after seeing what she did. Sis left and took everything. She made sure he saw her gone and there was no coming back.
Atlas showed her the good side of the elite and things her body had never experienced before.
Mali deserved real love and its was only right for Atlas to give that to her. Clark was a joker and am happy his secrets got exposed. This is the prefect novella with the right amount, of story, spice and drama. If your looking for an engaging novella then, this is definitely it.
This was a good read with a cute ending. The main female character was the epitome of ‘standing on business” when it came to her relationship and putting herself first.
At 81%...y'all are messy!!!! The drama was in fact, dramatic...think of a good soap, but minus the murder.
I can't really give a review, because I'd have to spoil all of the things. But, if you are into the dramatics, the mess and a bit of smexy time, give it a shot.
This was a good cup of some spicy tea hunny! Smex and mess are always a good combination! I truly enjoyed this read and I looks forward to reading more from this author!
4.5 ⭐️ A lovely short book. Straight to the point but I felt it was well written and detailed well for a short book. I will definitely read more from this author
I wish this was a full story because it has so much potential! I absolutely love Atlas and Mali—they’re such great characters together. The story is good, even though there are some spelling errors.
I enjoyed this short story. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there are plenty grammatical errors. I had to read many sentences over. I did enjoy the plot it has awesome potential.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book very much. Mali is better then me honey cause listen I’m not leaving my house nor am I being the bigger person. Good job on this book looking forward to reading more.
