This book contained some basic information to help get you started on your journey to healthier living, like exercise, healthy weight, don't eat sugar, or processed foods. There were also some things I will research more, like it’s okay, and encouraged, to eat more saturated fats and we should eat less grains and legumes. I’ve believed, based on my research and expert opinions whole grains and beans are good for you. The author said avoid dairy but promotes eating eggs.

As a vegetarian I need to find more food source information as this book is about meat, organ meat, and such. For meat eaters this is a good resource.

I would caution anyone reading any health book, especially one that is not written by an expert in that field or does not contain resource information, to do your own research and not just take an author's opinion. This book did not cite any studies, resources, or research so what you've got is the author's opinion. I advise you to couple it with your own research and your doctor's/nutritionists insights. Your health hangs in the balance. As I mentioned there are some good points in the book.

There were some helpful tips on exercise. Also glad to see a range of how many carbs you should eat daily.

Overall it's a starting point, not an ending point.

This book is a short book that felt more like an introduction to the topic. It only skims the surface to offer bits and tastes but didn't really tell me anything that I did not already know.
