Thank you to the author for a free copy of this book!

I'll be honest - I was super interested in this book as someone who is fully aware that I have a dopamine addiction, but it was so hard to get into it when I first started reading because non-fiction doesn't usually hit my dopamine receptors LOL. Interesting conundrum to have! But once I got into it, it was so interesting to read about how and why we have addictions to various things and how we are able to break those addictions as we learn how and why our brain is chasing that hit. Great book and easy to read/straight to the point.

If I could give this book a 10 stars rather than just 5 stars I truly would. I wish I could force everyone I know to read this book. Understanding how our brain operates is something I think every human should understand as it can help us navigate so many obstacles in our lives and challenges amongst each other as humans. Some of the things I loved about this book was the simplicity of explaining things, the aspect of a higher power such as God included (even as someone who doesn't actively attend church), the vulnerability shared by the author, and of course how short and straight to the point the book is. I hope this book makes it into the hands of everyone!
